Mine done same thing, I replaced the air intake and fixed it beautifully.
What could it be when the idle hits 2000 until you unplug the TPS. I tried 2 new TPS sensors and out of curiosity I started it unplugged to see what it would do and it started perfect and idles fine 🤔🤦♂️
It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Check the hoses around where the heater hoses go through the firewall on the back left side of the engine.
Good luck.
Thanks for watching!
Hopefully you figure it out and its a simple fix.
It might also be dirty/clogged air filter.

My 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9 stalls at red lights so I gotta put it in park and give it gas so it doesn't die or if its dying i gotta keep pushing the gas to get through the green light. Or I gotta pull into a parking lot and turn the truck off then back on so it gets it pull power again. Can anyone help?
Either one of these could be the issue, temperature sending sensor could be the problem it's behind the thermostat on the right.
It could also need a new timing chain and sprocket.
Good luck.

Crankshaft sensor
I replaced all three sensors on the carburetor, replaced the camshaft position sensor, pick up coil, rotor and distributor cap and still won't stay running. Any suggestions?
Hey Jason
It could be the temperature sending sensor on top of the engine behind the a/c compressor. It sends the engine temperature to the computer, and can foul stuff up.
It could also be the map sensor on the front of the throttle body if your year has one, it a little black box under the air filer housing on the front of the throttle body.
If not it could be what ours ended up being, the timing chain
Here is the repair for that here: ua-cam.com/video/PKPHeK4Eo3I/v-deo.html
Its 5 parts. Hope that isnt your problem its a lot of work.

@RJsGarages the truck cranks up it stays running with foot on the gas and shuts when the foot is released.
@@jasonconner5034same. If I keep it my foot on long enough it will stay running but as soon as I throw it in reverse or drive and give it gas it moved but dies as soon as I let off the gas. Have to constantly keep my foot on the gas
Did the IAC valve end up fixed the car ?
Listen to your woman , hot head! Lol 😆
What if it still stalls after replacing the tps
Hey Ben it could be a number of issues. A clogged/bad fuel filter which is in the gas tank. If also having slow hard starts it could be this.
It could be front 02 sensor.
It could be distributor/rotor or distributor sensor.
It could be a bad plenum gasket.
It could also be the IAC (idle air control) valve.
Good luck and thanks for watching.
