This song was written by the great Tom Waits. It’s on his own album Rain Dogs.
Interestingly, it's probably the only song that feels a bit out of place on Rain Dogs. I like the song but I've always felt it's a bit too poppy and "slick" for an 80's Tom Waits song.
I love songs like this, has meaning and heart ,thank you for a great reaction, we more ladies like you.
Thank you
Loved your reaction. Glad you reacted to my favourite Rod Stewart song
Lovely reaction. 👏👏
My favorite song of his.
The chorus sounds like "Tonight's The Night"
They don’t make music like this no more
Nice, thank you!
You're welcome Bill.
I don't know if you will be able to put the video up but if you can please react to Rod Stewart Live at the Royal Albert Hall and the song is " You Wear it Well". No one on here has reacted to any of the songs from that concert so you would be first.
Can you please react to the killing of Georgie Boy part 1/2. or sailing (Rod Stewart) both includes several references to the big Apple, and it would be great to get a New Yorkers p.o.v. !😷🇨🇦
I second the request! Both songs are so very good❤️
React to the orinal by Tom Waits
I prefer the Tom Waits version.
Tysheen the song says horrible things about Brooklyn girls.
I love this song, but something I don't understand. 2 very derogatory lines in the song about the Brooklyn girls. You wave your hand and they scatter like crows. They have nothing that will ever capture your heart. and They're like thorns without the rose. Why did the writer say that about Brooklyn girls?
I can't stand any of you folks reacting to songs your going to interrupt every darn 5 seconds. BYE.
