We all know what that song's about right. Well I was 9 when "TTN" was popular and on the radio. My mother bought the 45 for me as a Christmas present that year...😅
My fondest memory of this song and video was when my college school chums and I were on spring break in Orlando, Florida in 1978, and we had just walked into this disco when this song came booming out of the huge speakers and everyone in the place got up and squeezed onto the dance floor to dance to Rod’s newest hit song - I had never seen anything like it before or since - it was as ethereal as it got for my friends and I during the days of disco! All of those bodies moving and grooving and sweating to that hypnotic bass beat!
“Sexually charged” captures most of Rod Stewart’s work through the 1970s. “Hot Legs” is another great song from this period that is worth the listen. "The Killing of Georgie (Part I and II)" is one of his 1976 songs which opened up a first-of-its-kind discussion and shows a different side of him. More recently, like Queen Latifa he has released some work in The Standards genre. With his voice, his recent work definitely puts you into the baby making mode. 😊
@@barsandbarbells2022 Rod reached a decent level at Brentford Football Club in West London. He is a fanatical fan of Glasgow Celtic and there is a great video of his Scottish team's famous win where he and many others are crying with emotion.
This song was Rod jumping on the Disco wagon like a few artists did during the late 70's. Blondie did it and so did KISS. Each only having ONE Disco dance song.
Great as usual guys ... In March '22 Rod Stewart (77) posted videos of himself & 6 others shovelling gravel near his home in Essex, UK saying " I’m repairing the street near where I live because no one can be bothered to do it.” ... Vehicles were getting "bashed" up by the potholes & he couldn't get his Ferrari down the road, the local council were doing nothing about it so he decided to fill them in himself !
He can do it all. I love his voice and he is great to see live. He put out a whole series of old standards. He can croon with the best of them. I asked for the whole series for a Christmas gift. I absolutely love them. He is so talented.
One of the most iconic and best songs from the 70s I would say...really groovy,cool,funky,fresh...and it has due to its great quality also something timeless over it..that makes it sound less mossy and old even today so far from 1978...I really like this song...and the video..and your reaction to it just made it even more enjoyable..good work guys..
My Mum is scottish Born in 1960 Rod Stewart was her dream hunk and still is. I grew up having to listen to him and he is amazing his ability to pull women is legendary .
When Stewart started out he was one of the best front men in rock. His work with The Faces is outstanding. "(I Know) I'm Losing You" is absolute rock and roll fire. "Stay With Me' is another good one also. Most of us thought he sold out when he went disco, but then we started to go to disco's as that's where the women were, so there's that.
Rod Stewart is a rabbit hole that goes all the way back to the sixties! Rod always stayed with the musical trends, his energy, composition and voice will never be duplicated. Start at the beginning with: Faces - Stay With Me
Rod Stewart's nod to disco in 1978/79. A number of his top hits focused on romance/sex: Tonight's the Night; Hot Legs; You're in My Heart; Tonight I'm Yours, Infatuation.
Here's another Stewart song, if interested. "Rod Stewart - The First Cut Is The Deepest (Official Video)" this is a single from their album "A Night on the Town" the thing is this was on the B-side of the single "I Don't Want To Talk About It" which was the A-Side and was also a massive hit in the UK. These songs were definitely considered R&B soul music. Just as Sammantha said Rod Stewart could go beyond one genre of music. The band was able to grow musically and adapt with the times. Really fun reaction guy's you two are cute together, Thanks for the reaction.
I had a Do Ya Think I'm Sexy tee-shirt with my name on the back of it in the 80's! One of the few concerts I got to go to was Rod Stewart. He is one of the greats!
Great reaction !! Great song!! Forever Young by Rod Stewart would be a great reaction also. Pat Benatar - Hit me with your best shot live - 1982 New Haven Coliseum. Yeah, back when I was in high school in the late 80's we had pay phones in the halls. We would use them during lunch time and after school. I sometimes forget how much things have changed over the years. Cheers!!
Rod took a lot of flack for this song & didn’t sing for many years but it’s a fan favourite he now loves it & still sings it at concerts x yes please a someone else said please react to Hot Legs ❤
Funny thing is that Rod wrote it with the drummer Carmine Appice, who used to drum for Vanilla Fudge in the 60's and he definitely wasn't known for easy listening " pop hits" 😂
Yeah in the later 1970’s Rockin Rod an others did some disco sounding song. Chringeworthy back in the day but now it’s just fun to listen to , puts a smile on your face as ya sing along.
I have seen him in concert multiple times, and he puts on an amazing show. Can't go wrong with any of his songs. You should check out 'Forever Young' for a really sweet song.
We rockers of the 70s had no time for disco, but Rod had a voice that could cover any genre and came from a key band of the late 60s, The Faces, so we listened to his offerings. The Killing of Georgie was ahead of its time,....or right on time. One of the more tragic story songs ever written, and performed from a first person, emotional, point of view.
The fact that phone calls used to cost a dime, is where we get the phrase “dropping dimes” on someone from. Informants used to call police from pay phones.
I saw that ‘79 tour, (and quite a few others). He had a two story red velvet curtain with a huge RS which surrounded the whole stage. Great group of musicians. Even Rod the Mod did disco during the craze. It was an embarrassment to all his rock fans, however. Listen to “Hot Legs”. Same album - only, it rocks.
Rod Stewart decided he wanted to be a commercial success. He changed the direction of his career with this album. The disco era was in full bloom. The Rolling Stones had a big hit with MISS YOU, and Rod came to join the party. If you want the old raunchy rocking version of Rod Stewart, listen to his first 8 albums. The music he made with the Small Faces and his solo recordings are the best. After that, his more commercial material is prevalent. Occasionally, Rod would break into his former self, but for the most part, he would never be the same. Here are songs from before this album. BORN LOOSE, STAY WITH ME, HOT LEGS, EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY, TONIGHTS THE NIGHT. His later success came on these songs. INFATUATION, PEOPLE GET READY, CRAZY ABOUT HER. A quick note. You keep saying you didn't the difference from one song to the next by these artists. That is the whole point of the channel isn't it? The artists from way back in the 2oth century made their living creating new sounds, rhythm, and challenging expectations. That's why they go back so far. That's what help to extend their careers. Otherwise, you might as well listen to rap and hip-hop. Over and over and over.
That pretty lady in the video is Lillian Müller. Still going strong at 72 I believe. Norwegian lady. Yeah, that's the only reason I watch the video. ROTFLMAO No it's a great rockin tune for sure. Thanks for reacting and reviewing. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
If I live to be 90 this will still be on my playlist. Phil mentioned his clothing - good catch. His nickname is "Rod The Mod" which is a nod to his clothing. Fun fact though - Rod & Elton have had a love hate friendship since WAY back. Elton calls Rod "Phyllis" and Rod calls Elton "Sharon". 😂
As far as football yes He was contracted briefly by the Brentford Bees but chose music starting with long John Baldry. The song "your in my heart, the final acclaim" references his 2 favorite clubs Manchester United and Glasgow Celtic
The sound you’re hearing is disco during the four years of disco many rock groups sampled disco in their albums……even The Rolling Stones with their Some Girls album…..
Yeah, he definitely liked the blonde models and has about 10 kids. Have you guys reacted to the song all for love with him, Sting and Bryan Adams. Their voices together are fab.
Ah the 70s, when you could just tell someone you'd like to sleep with them and you wouldn't get slapped or get the cops called on you... 😂 Eh, it's probably better that we can't do that anymore. Too bad I was just a kid when this song came out.
Rod is famous for dating/marrying blonde haired blue eyed models. I prefer his harder rocking stuff from the late 60s/early 70's, but the visuals in this music video are just outrageous.
This song is representative of why the "Disco Sucks" movement happened in the late 70's. Everybody and their mother had a Disco song to break onto the charts (i.e. Kiss, Rod Stewart, Queen, etc.) Even Broadway star Ethyl Merman had a Disco album. The characters on Sesame Street put out a Disco album. It was everywhere and owned top 40 radio. I was so burned out on it. It took some years before I could go back and enjoy bands like KC and the Sunshine Band, ABBA, Bee Gees and this one from Rod. Just proof that anything that is played too much becomes a beating.
Well, if were going down this path for Rod Stewart, the logical next song would have to be "Stay With Me" by the Faces (featuring Rod Stewart on lead vocals). Peace
I grew up in a very conservative christian home, and this song was totally forbidden for me to listen to in the 70's. Funny...Now I listen to it out of spite!
This is one of my favorite from Rod
"Tonight's the Night" another huge hit for Rod. A must react. It was the song of the year.
We all know what that song's about right. Well I was 9 when "TTN" was popular and on the radio. My mother bought the 45 for me as a Christmas present that year...😅

If you liked the disco vibe, I might suggest KC and the Sunshine Band - Boogie Man, Get Down Tonight...
Other than one or two of their songs, I always thought they were way too bubble gum.
Or Shake, Shake, Shake
💯! Boogie Man kills!
One of the best songs all time! Perfect mixed post disco - blue eyed soul! I LOVE IT! GOOD REACTION, GUYS!
This song was Rod jumping on the Disco wagon like a few artists did during the late 70's. Blondie did it and so did KISS. Each only having ONE Disco dance song.
Rod has tons of great stuff. The first record of his I bought was 'Tonight's the Night.' I also really love his 80s hit 'Lost in You.'
Ah, gotta love Rod in his disco groove! He really does have a FEW songs that aren't about sex! Thanks for your reaction.
Great as usual guys ... Thank you! Happy to hear you enjoyed it as much as us!
This was on the radio all the time forever. A staple at the dance clubs for sure. Hot Legs is probably my favorite by him though.
A rock legend!
Do You Think I'm Sexy came out in 1978, which was the height of the disco era. The Rolling Stones had a similar huge disco hit in Miss You.
From a guy who spent many hours out on the dance floor during Disco, you two would have had a lot of fun and looked good together
My fav Rod Stewart is an 80 hit called Infatuation and Forever Young. Cool videos too! Also All For One with Bryan Adams and Sting.
This video is HILARIOUS to me, great CLASSIC song, and the women LOVED IT/ HIM!!!😂😂😂

I've seen him 3 times in last 30 years....hes awesome at every show I've been to. And last year was last time I saw him and he was 77...still rockin

Appreciate the intel! It was our pleasure! Thx for hanging with us!
His cover of The First Cut is in my opinion better than the original sung by Cat Stevens.
That bass groove is ridiculous ❤
I had a Do Ya Think I'm Sexy tee-shirt with my name on the back of it in the 80's! One of the few concerts I got to go to was Rod Stewart. He is one of the greats!
one of his best is " Forever young" a definate fire song
I can remember when this song came out, rod Stewart is one of my favourite artists ❤❤❤❤❤
78 the year I graduated, good job, oh Canada 🇨🇦
Guys you should try Tonight’s tonight or The first cut is the deepest or Young Turks…. Rod had some bangers till he sold out. You guys rock!
Great reaction !! Great song!! Forever Young by Rod Stewart would be a great reaction also. Pat Benatar - Hit me with your best shot live - 1982 New Haven Coliseum. Another great song by Rod yet rarely talked about is "Passion"
Rod Stewart is royalty in music.
"Hot Legs", "Tonight's The Night", "Young Turks"--just some suggestions for other Rod Stewart songs...Good, fun reaction, guys!
From the Disco era. Even Rod jumped on the Disco train back then 🤣
A less popular but awesome tune of Rod Stewart is the Killing of Georgie…love to see you do that. No one has so far. 🇨🇦🖖🏻
Rods later stuff like American song book album, or handbags& gladrags ❤❤❤❤
My favorite song by him is probably you’re in my heart you’re in my soul. I also love the first cut is the deepest, and young hearts.
Faces .. a rod Stewart band .. stay with me. Great song.. rod Stewart’s tonight’s the night.. another great one
huge nightclub dance song in the 70's
Rod having fun.
Rod took a lot of flack for this song & didn’t sing for many years but it’s a fan favourite he now loves it & still sings it at concerts x yes please a someone else said please react to Hot Legs ❤

Tonights the night.. is another good one
I have seen him in concert multiple times, and he puts on an amazing show. Can't go wrong with any of his songs. You should check out 'Forever Young' for a really sweet song.
"Mandolin Wind" is a beautiful song from Rod Stewart, pre-disco. Please do a reaction to it. I know you will love it.
A blast from the 80’s. Thank you. Those synths are beautiful.
Actually 70s! Disco era.
Rod❤️
Released 1978.
The 70’s CANNOT be touched, for every genre.
Came out in 1978.
Yea it was the best of all genres, even the country was rockin ' at the time @@TheCornishCockney
So good!
Lillian Muller 1976 Playmate of the Year is the woman in the video. She's also in Van Halen's video "Hot for Teacher".

l liked the 70s ROCK AND DISCO 4 ME
I love the bass guitar in this one
He is also a huge model train enthusiast and even takes projects with him on tour.
“Young Turks,” and “Forever Young” are my favorites of his.

If you like the Sacs listen to 'Frankenstein' by Edgar Winter, live version a must to get the feel of Edgar's talent.

You guys are becoming my favorite Reaction team.
Amazing!
I noticed Stewart's drummer was the outstanding drummer Carmine Appice.
Carmine helped write the lyrics for this believe or not😉
i saw rod stewart in the 1984 Infactuation tour......he used to kick out soccer balls into the crowd.
Yeah, he definitely liked the blonde models and has about 10 kids. Have you guys reacted to the song all for love with him, Sting and Bryan Adams. Their voices together are fab.
That was slick pals..good job from Buffalo New York
Imagine the fight over the Hairspray....!
This is definitely the Disco infusion, he had to do😆 BUT GO BACK… his music video TONIGHT’S THE NIGHT…❣️👍🤩
Check out Tonight's The Night. Great song.
Awesome
"Hot Legs"
Ah the 70s, when you could just tell someone you'd like to sleep with them and you wouldn't get slapped or get the cops called on you... 😂 Eh, it's probably better that we can't do that anymore. Too bad I was just a kid when this song came out.
Try his "Forever Ypung". Beautiful song.
It’s true, blondes do have more fun!
Now please do Passion. It doesn't get much, if any attention.
Good one this time.
Disco ROD! the whisper works!
Haha. We hated this song for Rod going disco. Thing is, over time I've grown to like this song. Rod was a heart throb.
This man was a Sex symbol with a capital S. The original Mr Steal Your Girl! So many hits, just a lifetime of fantastic music.
Rod is famous for dating/marrying blonde haired blue eyed models. I prefer his harder rocking stuff from the late 60s/early 70's, but the visuals in this music video are just outrageous.
Hot Legs...Give a listen!
Hot legs 77 This song 1978 the great 1970s
Another disco great would be the Selena medley live in Houston…she was amazing…tragic story 🇨🇦🖖🏻
This song is representative of why the "Disco Sucks" movement happened in the late 70's. You should react to rod Stewart when he was in the band called " The Faces ". Ronnie Wood was the guitarist .
Rod was married with a lot of kids and he was very devoted to his wife!!!!!!
You guys definitely need to listen to my favorite song from him, which is "Hot Legs".....
His nickname back in the day
Rod the Bod Steward
Hot Legs and Tonight's The Night were his other suggestive videos of the day.
🇨🇦 My wifes favourite, but she has a Bias, because she went to school with Rod !
Check out "Tonight I'm Yours" Official Video. Also "Every Picture Tells A Story" Incredible Rod to the Max
All the girls in highschool used to call him Rod the bod. So we had to up our game.
Rod the Bod.
Well, if were going down this path for Rod Stewart, the logical next song would have to be "Stay With Me" by the Faces (featuring Rod Stewart on lead vocals).
Peace
You have to check out another great song called "Hot Legs" good stuff.
I grew up in a very conservative christian home, and this song was totally forbidden for me to listen to in the 70's. Funny...Now I listen to it out of spite!
Now I'm craving some chips ahoy!
