Man gastro healing is still so stupidly overpowered, I dont understand why this perk isnt just completely removed from the game. Thank god some custom servers are actually paying attention to the state of the game and doing something about it.
imo it should heal 0.33% of your maximum health for every 1% of your hunger you restore. Thus, filling your stomach from 0 to 100% would heal 33% of your maximum health. And overeating while your stomach is already full won't heal at all. It's an interesting mutation, but it's just too strong, especially on creatures that can overeat.
I don't usually enjoy such videos on the isle but there is something about your storytelling prowess and playstyle that keeps me clickin and subbed. Gj.

the change of gameplay , spawning as an egg being in a group, to spawn in alone and knowing that you are prey for other ceratos from now on, is actually pretty pretty neat

The day the devs come up with a reasonable solution to manage the mixpacking and mega packing will be a great one. I think you can tell how a game is doing by how many players or how popular custom servers are. I have literally NOT played a ‘regular,’ Isle server in awhile, custom servers are ontop!1!1! I had one interaction w/ 32 when they had a big group of dibbles and they were KOSing. Tbf the group I was in was mixing and are apparently also notorious KOSers. I’ve since stopped playing with the mixers cuz that playstyle is not for me and KOS always leaves me a sense of distaste. I hope they make some adjustments to try and stop mega packs and KOS.
Granted 32 wasn’t the main instigator but rather their company was. They did defend the KOS though which is lame cuz they targeted a lone stego before we saved it. :T

Damn i was playing stego and then i saw a second one and we grouped, hanged out good couple of hours and then we saw third stego. He didnt speak and he made sure he wanted to be alone, well then we started to walk to the migration and he followed us from a good distance. Then we saw 3 ceratos. Summa summarum, stego and those ceratos killed us in the swamps. Damn mix packers(?)
Ew, what a scummy situation. I hate when stuff like that happens. I had a similar one on my teno. Trying to get a group of carnos to fight me(wanting to test out the new matchup). They wouldn't, so I got a drink at West rail pond with plans to go about my business elsewhere. Trio of Dibbles that had been sitting nearby attacks, knocks me down, and then the carnos descend. The first dibble that attacked chased me alongside the carnos all the way across the area until he ran out of stamina, and ultimately I managed to jump onto a rock while I was deep red and low blood. Barely survived.
Feels like watching the kind of nature documentary where youre purely reliant on the narrator to understand wtf is happening. "The male tennonto" "cerato footsteps" excuse the heck me? How do you know that to me they are "big lizard #1" and "weird noise in the bushes" (pretending id even hear the latter)
I hope more unofficial servers grow in popularity. Don't need many rules, just need some for people to be reasonable about pack sizes, fights, etc. I haven't played in months, got so tired of hackers, mixpacking and asshole players that I went back to legacy. Your videos have tempted me to play evrima again but never again will I play on official servers

Wiped two ceratos with Acro only to have a large juvie come racing from across the map to kill both of us at breakneck speed. I'd love a good NA unofficial server, but right now all the na ones are quick grow death match servers
Yeah I usually play Cerato but I always just end up playing as the Scavenger a.k.a The Garbage Man. I have learned never to trust any other Carnivore on the Isle, so I am always wandering solo and sticking to the shadows. I don't take the risk of hunting and have to do with the scraps.
They overtuned the hell out of the bile bite, I think it definitely needed to be more powerful as opposed to how it was before the update. So they can actually fulfill their role bullying people off bodies and guarding them effectively, but even the babies are able to make a full grown dilo contract dino ebola in 3 bites which is just OP.
I agree. Honestly they just need to tune down everything else (agility, defense, damage, etc) when they're not stealing or guarding a corpse. That way skilled ceratos can still hunt in packs, but otherwise they prefer to march in after someone hunts something and just steals the food they want

I think it would help balance cerato a lot better if there was a proper delay with the charge bite. It's the only playable who can just SPAM their special attack like that. Especially when its supposed to be a hard hitting deterrent for its corpse guarding behaviour rather than a hyper offensive take down move. I think if they gave it like idk 3 charges and they take 30 seconds to recharge each it'd be a lot more manageable compared to right now. It might be used less offensively and more of a "this is my body back off" like it's supposed to be played lol
Ceratos now super dangerous in packs. They can debuff you vomit lock you tank a lot of your hits and become unkillable with body down. They can even hunt down diablos now
cerato is so stupidly OP it isnt even funny. omni needs a buff considering that it vomits with 1 charge bite, its slower than carno AND DILO and has a weaker bite force than MOST OF THE LAND DWELLING CREATURES! if omni was actually based on Utah it would be way stronger.

Small animals are meant to vomit in a bite from a larger animal. The problem is cerato can make EVERYTHING vomit in one bite, including Tenos, Carnos, Dibbles and Stegos
Coming from Patch of Titans, the only thing with The Isle is I cant tell when you been hit or when you hit someone xD or how much health you have? how do you know?
@@Pyroglyphid the edges of your screen get more blood around them. Then if you check your menu, the heart rate at the bottom will change color and frequency to show how injured you are. Green= 75%+ Yellow=above 50% Orange= above 25% and Red is critical, 25% HP or less
So i commented on an earlier video about testing dilo bleed... Its awful like to the point where it should not be a thought in your mind that you can bleed anything out. we did multiple tests but the one that stuck out the most was when we did 8 headshots to a teno and 4 body it didnt bring the bleed down past 80% that was with bleed resist mutation. regardless dilo is not a bleeder but a full on Blitz machine the works best in a group where after the intiall contact where you get your venom stacked you just poke and widdle until your opponent falls which is easier said than done. It can hold its own against a carno in the right situations but ceras as for most things is just something to avoid.
@@tristanpiekema9763 you're correct. Dilo is no longer the bleeder like he was in legacy. He's intended to rely heavily on his venom mechanic, which is okay to a point. But less fun in my personal opinion than landing the killing blow myself after whittling my prey down to desperation
@dinometta yeah don't get me wrong, it's cool, but the match ups feel bad because you want to stack up your venom asap, but you're extremely frail. (From a 1v1 standpoint) I've felt stronger in 1v2s and 3s due to the confusion and the worries of hitting teammates. I personally like the venom mechanic but it does feel bad when you just watch your opponent just fall over to nothing because you can't see your hallucinations. I think if we could it would help but idk. Or they could have hallucinations do bleed on their own?
Tail slam and kick both got a slight damage nerf. Still pretty deadly, but with wounded status further lowering damage output and the dead corpse is smelled before likely within body buff range at the end of the fight with the female, that helped. Mutations giving me less damage from larger species also helped too.
How the heck do you get the absolutely broken tracking system to work. I've only ever seen the blue tracking cone three times ever and it was just random???
I’m playing deino for the first time in a long time and my god it’s so satisfying killing the mix packers who come for a drink. Knowing I’m ridding the world of them 1 jumps are at a time 🤣
These developers treat us like testers and not players like revert the damn cera update until you come up with something better they act like its so difficult but no, rather add extremely op sh*t and then leave it for a month without touching it you cant even use "early access" as an excuse
I don't know why they pushed it to live without adjusting it or fixing the bug. They've said that it's not supposed to be making dibble and stego vomit in one charge bite

@dinometta haha that was me 100% I only play NA 4 and NA 5 just miss remembered the server but ya hard to forget getting clapped by a cera in delta during a rainstorm 😂 Had a freeze frame the moment you bit me so I was on the back burner from the start just attempted to get as many bites in and honestly suprised the poison took effect with the two hits I landed 😅 Glad my corpse fed the better player!
I'm assuming that it's one bite vomit thing is a bug that will be fixed. Also there are other kinda overpowered mutations specially for Cera, there is one that makes you do more damage when you are hungry, and since Cera can vomit on command you can probably see why that might be a little too strong. Imo this and the eat to heal are one of the few mutations that should be removed, honestly I'd say anything that can be useful in combat needs to go. So no speed/damage buffs, no instant regens no taking less damage from larger things etc. If they are going to insist on having mutations that do these things they need to have a downside, like if you are going to be %5 more health regen and movement speed then it should come at the cost stamina usage while running increasing by %10 so you need to decide if you want to trade some of your stamina for more speed. If you wanna take %15 less damage from larger animals then you lose %2 speed. But imo they should just remove them because it causes balancing to be even more messed up.
I agree. This particular cerato had both of those mutations. Born with eat to heal, grabbed the other because of course. I wouldn't mind if eating gave you a short period of time where you can then sit down and heal faster by a % for 5 minutes or something. But straight up regaining chunks of HP while eating is way too OP. Doing more damage when hungry could almost work as desperation hunting is a thing, but it needs a downside like faster stamina drain or something to be fairly used.
@@dinometta Yes, either that or since having a full stomach already makes you heal faster they can just make a mutation that buffs that. We can have mutations that encourage you to keep your stomach full and mutations that enhance your hunting abilities at the cost of losing stam faster and regaining it slower when it's near empty, so one of these muations would be a low risk low reward option and the other would be a high risk high reward one because if you fail that last hunt and lose stam and hp it would be pretty much over for you

I have been trying to get back into the isle for the last few days and play as my fav dino. The Carno. I play on unofficial servers that get over 200 players and I cant find any AI to feed on at the start... No matter where I go, the locations that are marked on the online gateway map have no deer or boars... I dont remember it being this bad ever. Is it better on official servers?

cera atm is just a pain to deal with :/ i wouldn't necessarily say its too OP cause if it was then the dilo at 14:46 should've been dead as soon as it got stuck vomiting. Its still unbalanced... but that dilo had a chance to run which is what's most important for the games balance. still bad and needs change! but not the end of the world. Gastro mutation is just... bad 🤦♀it should have NEVER! been a instant heal xd I do like the idea of it, just not the execution of it. Some changes to it would be to make it were after eating from a player's body you get a health regen boost. And if its a playable creature on your diet you get a further health regen boost. So eating a creature that isn't on your diet will give a 5-10% regen boost Eating a creature that is on your diet will give a 15-20% regen boost And eating organs will give and additional 5% boost We can also change it where the mutation is different for each species Dilos and Troodon's version will require it to be night otherwise the mutation won't work Omnis, herras, and carnos require it to be a fresh kill otherwise the mutation won't function cerato will require the corpse to be rotten deino will require it to be over a certain weight range ptera is the only one that doesn't need to meet any special requirement that's js my idea and opinions though feel free to criticize it 🤷♀
I think one of my biggest issues is that cera is the whole package. I'd burn that dilo enough that even if he tried to run, he was going to bleed out long before he could lose me since cerato does a ton of bleed on top of causing vomit, heavy damage, etc. I agree with gastro needing a change. My thought on it was making it only increase healing rate by a % for 5 minutes while resting after eating. Basically to be used as an after battle way of getting back on your feet and making you less vulnerable while also encouraging people to eat slower and hang out on a body instead of just speed eating and dashing away. This would also give the (hopefully nerfed in some areas) ceratos the opportunity to do what they were intended to do, bully people off their kills.
Cera is absolutely super easy to grow due to its diet and being able to gain nutrients from rotten corpse and bones so it doesn't face much risk as compared to other dinos including herbivores. The only issue is the lack of natural predators such as allo or other mid sized carnivore. Cera is supposed to be that bully and it lives up to its name that's why everyone hates it including me 😂 The game however requires a anti-mixpacking system of some sort and also better anti-cheat. Playing on Officials is a joke.

you should press f10 for photos instead. or press shift+f10, but i prefer f10 by itself

They overtuned the hell out of the bile bite, I think it definitely needed to be more powerful as opposed to how it was before the update. So they can actually fulfill their role bullying people off bodies and guarding them effectively, but even the babies are able to make a full grown dilo contract dino ebola in 3 bites which is just OP.
I agree. Honestly they just need to tune down everything else (agility, defense, damage, etc) when they're not stealing or guarding a corpse. That way skilled ceratos can still hunt in packs, but otherwise they prefer to march in after someone hunts something and just steals the food they want

I think it would help balance cerato a lot better if there was a proper delay with the charge bite. It's the only playable who can just SPAM their special attack like that. Especially when its supposed to be a hard hitting deterrent for its corpse guarding behaviour rather than a hyper offensive take down move. I think if they gave it like idk 3 charges and they take 30 seconds to recharge each it'd be a lot more manageable compared to right now. It might be used less offensively and more of a "this is my body back off" like it's supposed to be played lol

Ceratos now super dangerous in packs. They can debuff you vomit lock you tank a lot of your hits and become unkillable with body down. They can even hunt down diablos now

cerato is so stupidly OP it isnt even funny. omni needs a buff considering that it vomits with 1 charge bite, its slower than carno AND DILO and has a weaker bite force than MOST OF THE LAND DWELLING CREATURES! if omni was actually based on Utah it would be way stronger.

Small animals are meant to vomit in a bite from a larger animal. The problem is cerato can make EVERYTHING vomit in one bite, including Tenos, Carnos, Dibbles and Stegos

@@Pyroglyphid the edges of your screen get more blood around them. Then if you check your menu, the heart rate at the bottom will change color and frequency to show how injured you are. Green= 75%+ Yellow=above 50% Orange= above 25% and Red is critical, 25% HP or less
This is why I prefer The Isle, the speed and brutality compared to the other dino survival games is not really matched.

So i commented on an earlier video about testing dilo bleed... Its awful like to the point where it should not be a thought in your mind that you can bleed anything out. we did multiple tests but the one that stuck out the most was when we did 8 headshots to a teno and 4 body it didnt bring the bleed down past 80% that was with bleed resist mutation. regardless dilo is not a bleeder but a full on Blitz machine the works best in a group where after the intiall contact where you get your venom stacked you just poke and widdle until your opponent falls which is easier said than done. It can hold its own against a carno in the right situations but ceras as for most things is just something to avoid.
@@tristanpiekema9763 you're correct. Dilo is no longer the bleeder like he was in legacy. He's intended to rely heavily on his venom mechanic, which is okay to a point. But less fun in my personal opinion than landing the killing blow myself after whittling my prey down to desperation
@dinometta yeah don't get me wrong, it's cool, but the match ups feel bad because you want to stack up your venom asap, but you're extremely frail. (From a 1v1 standpoint) I've felt stronger in 1v2s and 3s due to the confusion and the worries of hitting teammates. I personally like the venom mechanic but it does feel bad when you just watch your opponent just fall over to nothing because you can't see your hallucinations. I think if we could it would help but idk. Or they could have hallucinations do bleed on their own?
have they nerfed the Tenos? last time i played i am SURE only 2 or 3 tail slam would kill a full grown ceratos, let alone all those hits
Tail slam and kick both got a slight damage nerf. Still pretty deadly, but with wounded status further lowering damage output and the dead corpse is smelled before likely within body buff range at the end of the fight with the female, that helped. Mutations giving me less damage from larger species also helped too.
How the heck do you get the absolutely broken tracking system to work. I've only ever seen the blue tracking cone three times ever and it was just random???

These developers treat us like testers and not players like revert the damn cera update until you come up with something better they act like its so difficult but no, rather add extremely op sh*t and then leave it for a month without touching it you cant even use "early access" as an excuse
I don't know why they pushed it to live without adjusting it or fixing the bug. They've said that it's not supposed to be making dibble and stego vomit in one charge bite

Had a freeze frame the moment you bit me so I was on the back burner from the start just attempted to get as many bites in and honestly suprised the poison took effect with the two hits I landed 😅

I'm assuming that it's one bite vomit thing is a bug that will be fixed. Also there are other kinda overpowered mutations specially for Cera, there is one that makes you do more damage when you are hungry, and since Cera can vomit on command you can probably see why that might be a little too strong. Imo this and the eat to heal are one of the few mutations that should be removed, honestly I'd say anything that can be useful in combat needs to go. So no speed/damage buffs, no instant regens no taking less damage from larger things etc. If they are going to insist on having mutations that do these things they need to have a downside, like if you are going to be %5 more health regen and movement speed then it should come at the cost stamina usage while running increasing by %10 so you need to decide if you want to trade some of your stamina for more speed.
If you wanna take %15 less damage from larger animals then you lose %2 speed. But imo they should just remove them because it causes balancing to be even more messed up.
I agree. This particular cerato had both of those mutations. Born with eat to heal, grabbed the other because of course. I wouldn't mind if eating gave you a short period of time where you can then sit down and heal faster by a % for 5 minutes or something. But straight up regaining chunks of HP while eating is way too OP. Doing more damage when hungry could almost work as desperation hunting is a thing, but it needs a downside like faster stamina drain or something to be fairly used.
@@dinometta Yes, either that or since having a full stomach already makes you heal faster they can just make a mutation that buffs that. We can have mutations that encourage you to keep your stomach full and mutations that enhance your hunting abilities at the cost of losing stam faster and regaining it slower when it's near empty, so one of these muations would be a low risk low reward option and the other would be a high risk high reward one because if you fail that last hunt and lose stam and hp it would be pretty much over for you

I have been trying to get back into the isle for the last few days and play as my fav dino. The Carno. I play on unofficial servers that get over 200 players and I cant find any AI to feed on at the start... No matter where I go, the locations that are marked on the online gateway map have no deer or boars... I dont remember it being this bad ever. Is it better on official servers?
Official servers have very plentiful AI, but harder to find players later. Those bigger servers have so many players that ai gets eaten quickly

@@dinometta what I really like is it takes skill to take down a Teno 1v1 as Cerato. But a good Cerato can kill 2 tenos and its tough.
cera atm is just a pain to deal with :/ i wouldn't necessarily say its too OP cause if it was then the dilo at 14:46 should've been dead as soon as it got stuck vomiting.
Its still unbalanced... but that dilo had a chance to run which is what's most important for the games balance. still bad and needs change! but not the end of the world.
Gastro mutation is just... bad 🤦♀it should have NEVER! been a instant heal xd I do like the idea of it, just not the execution of it.
Some changes to it would be to make it were after eating from a player's body you get a health regen boost. And if its a playable creature on your diet you get a further health regen boost.
So eating a creature that isn't on your diet will give a 5-10% regen boost
Eating a creature that is on your diet will give a 15-20% regen boost
And eating organs will give and additional 5% boost
We can also change it where the mutation is different for each species
Dilos and Troodon's version will require it to be night otherwise the mutation won't work
Omnis, herras, and carnos require it to be a fresh kill otherwise the mutation won't function
cerato will require the corpse to be rotten
deino will require it to be over a certain weight range
ptera is the only one that doesn't need to meet any special requirement
that's js my idea and opinions though feel free to criticize it 🤷♀
I think one of my biggest issues is that cera is the whole package. I'd burn that dilo enough that even if he tried to run, he was going to bleed out long before he could lose me since cerato does a ton of bleed on top of causing vomit, heavy damage, etc.
I agree with gastro needing a change. My thought on it was making it only increase healing rate by a % for 5 minutes while resting after eating. Basically to be used as an after battle way of getting back on your feet and making you less vulnerable while also encouraging people to eat slower and hang out on a body instead of just speed eating and dashing away. This would also give the (hopefully nerfed in some areas) ceratos the opportunity to do what they were intended to do, bully people off their kills.

Cera is absolutely super easy to grow due to its diet and being able to gain nutrients from rotten corpse and bones so it doesn't face much risk as compared to other dinos including herbivores. The only issue is the lack of natural predators such as allo or other mid sized carnivore. Cera is supposed to be that bully and it lives up to its name that's why everyone hates it including me 😂
The game however requires a anti-mixpacking system of some sort and also better anti-cheat. Playing on Officials is a joke.
