@@Avoithicto be fair though I do think Metta and Pete are both pretty good at deino 🤣 or at the very least yaknow able to play deino properly, tbh deino doesn’t require a lot of skill since the only skillful matchups really is deino vs deino, maybe deino vs stego and then fighting on land with deino which shouldn’t be very frequent lol. But theres definitelyyyy some bad/annoying/cocky deino players. Myself included sometimes when it comes to picking fights I can’t win 🤣

After growing my 7th Herrera just to reach full adult, join up with random herraras and getting killed by someone jumping on my head on accident, this might actually make me consider going out of my comfort zone and trying to grow a croc.
@@VeryLastIfried Deino life can be rough, but honestly, it can be a nice break from the chaos on land. Playing it solo is very meditative for me. Just water sounds, hunger and thirst, and listening for where my next meal might be hanging out.
I do tend to afk grow crocs as much as possible though. Moving around between meals is a risk. Better to stay hidden until I get to half food again.
@@dinometta Thanks for the advice!
I never join randoms, especially as something like Herrera or even Omni and troodon, they'll get you killed.
@@kitkat5596 troodon seems to be a major exception. mainly because only new players or old players play it. hackers dont, cannibals typically dont either, its just a chill experience normally. even when you die, you only lose like an hour of your day that you spent growing the troodon, so it makes it really easy to accept dying and not be mad about it

Yeah I agree. There’s still the possibility though cuz from what I know you have to cross little deep parts to get in to the shallow middle, but idk there might be shallower spots I haven’t seen though Ive seen a few.

With the 20% slower water drain mutation you can get from the swamp to the southern plains even as full grown

UA-camr's deino gameplay: Catching prey left and right, killing other gators on sight. Most players' deino gameplay: Wait, wait, wait, never get a chance to grab anything, starve or die to a pair of cannibal gators. :P
Still a good video though :)
@@abyssaldragonslayer4389 Haha this 20 minute video was cut from probably 10+ hours of gameplay
@dinometta I know, I'm just salty because that's basically what happens whenever I play, lol! I've legit played for 6+ hours at a time without ever getting to grab something only to finally die to the many cannibal pairs who patrol the waters 😅
@@abyssaldragonslayer4389 haha that was my stress test deino too. 12 hours, not one single grab. So frustrating
It feels like that Ill admit lol as a mostly deino player back in update 4
Is swamp this active during migration only? I’m having a real tough time finding food in swamplands as a gator.
Pretty much. Between migration cycles you're essentially seeking other gators to eat and keeping a close eye on when the zone vanishes. As soon as the highland one vanishes, you know they're coming and can get set up for grabs as they travel in and through
With the diets i thought that having one of each only provided a growth boost. Could be wromg but worth looking into. You can get stam and hp from other combinations of diet if i remember right.
@@nathanielp60 A fully mixed, perfect diet provides all of the boosts. Everything from growth to stamina to HP regen
@@dinometta ah good to know! I figured you prolly had it all figured out lol
I’ve always wondered as this has happened recently to me and I saw it in the video, why does your screen vibrate now when attacking a deino (maybe other things too but from my experience only deinos)? Its like you’re taking damage from their skin like in PoT or something but it doesn’t seem to do much at all? It’s super weird. If you know if its a bug or not that would be helpful 🤣
@@dtbrex08 pretty sure my hand was just shaking xD I get a super adrenaline rush in sketchy fights haha
@@dinomettahmm I guess but like I was pecking a deino above water as a ptera yesterday lol and it would do the same thing but no damage it seemed and the deino was literally just floating there not moving, it was probably 40%+ growth but I was a fresh spawn. Use distant landmarks. The domes in front of you will lead to where people come down from South. Going directly away from the domes is going toward the main section of swamp. Migration foods grow on the banks on the side of swamp where the canyon is, and in the middle by the massive mud pit.
In general though, swimming around and through it is the best way to learn. Take different paths, see where you end up. It's really easy to get turned around in there.
