    I tried this recipe yesterday for the first time. I’m just starting out as a baker so I was really nervous but I was determined to give my mom a taste of home this Easter as she always calls her relatives in Guyana and feels left out. I made one change to this recipe - I just used the total measurement in raisinsand I chopped them in a food processor and soaked them in a little cherry wine - but otherwise followed it to the letter. It was ABSOLUTELY incredible and I had to come back to thank you. I really made my mom happy. They were perfect - soft, fluffy, sweet and tasted like home. I will share this video with everyone I know!

    Hello all. I tried this recipe for Easter and it was fabulous. It all came together and i referred to the video during my prep to ensure i got it right. This is an awesome recipe.

    My goodness I had to come say thank you very much for sharing your recipe with us because I tried it , baking my very first Cross Buns , they came out just as you said it would, super soft and tasty , however I used less sugar but gosh it was good...thank you once again.

    Ok here is my suggestion .. I love food, I love Guyanese food . Why not have a session with like ten of us that pays for you to cook for us via live and we cook along with you .. again we pay, you cook and we cook too .. every week we get our ingredients and we cook along as you being the chef of course ..

      Hi dear thank you so much. Before I started UA-cam I never used measurements either but ppl kept asking for measurements so I started using it when I would do videos. But i still go by average when I'm not doing videos it's the most comfortable way to cook if you have the experience. Thank you again I hope your buns turn out great. have a wonderful easter.

      @@candythaglamcook Okay, had to post an update....The first batch on Good Thursday was a FAIL. My Great Value yeast was bad and it did not fluff up at all. Got some of the same yeast in your video and it came out PERFECT!!! I am amazed at myself. Thank you so much for this recipe. This will be with me Forevaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. LOL

    Hi. Loved your recipe especially where you made the crosses from the dough. I found the cloves were overpowering. Next time I will use 1/4 tsp only.
