    Thats how light and airy i like cross buns and alot of older folks use to argue that cross buns mus be solid and heavy. I never liked cross buns until i strt making my own

      That's right, it's suppose to be light and fluffy but packed with flavor from the fruits and milk. It should not be lacking in fruits or it will just be a tennis roll or dinner roll with a cross.

      @danitajaundoo5459 the traditional sponge cake is super heavy and oily, don't like that either I do my own thing. I'm not going to go with the traditional version if its a better version out there, not everything that's traditional is best. Remember back in the day they don't have much options as far as ingredients so they used what they had, today there are so many options to chose from, the food world has evolved and so should our cooking.

    Look at the goodness here 😋 so glad I didn’t make any yet. I think I will make this version on Thursday but use the whole wheat flour instead and I don’t like dense cross buns and where in the world these people saying it should be more dense, back home we never buy one like that it always soft and delicious might not be so rich with all the ingredients because we love be extra with the decorating part of it 😂😂 and that is why the women always sold out!! And I noticed on adifferent channels people are saying that and they are being so shady and I don’t like that!! But my sister you keep up the fantastic job that you doing and may god continue to bless your hands for sharing your delicious recipes & happy Easter to you and your beautiful family!!🤗😘❤

      It's a matter of personal preference some people like their buns heavy packed with flour and that's OK to each his own, I like mine soft , fluffy but flavorful. I'm oblivious to what the other channels got going on because I mind my own business, too busy to acknowledge them and too nonchalant to care.       Don't rush the rising process allow it to rise as long as it needs to. It's rich in flavor so it will take longer to rise than a normal bread dough.

    Can u say if it remained soft when completely cooled? Ive never tried the baking powder but u convinced me to

      Yes they are still soft even the next day but you have to reheat for a few seconds in the microwave for it to revert back to normal texture because it's obviously homemade and does not have the chemical that's used in the Bakery.

    Looks great.. a few yrs ago you added egg and that looked good as well. Can you say why you decided to omit it this time?

      I always change the recipe. I never do the same exact recipe more than once, always switch them up to give options to the viewers. Some people don't eat eggs so this is done without eggs for those individuals. I also have ones with coconut added, I just did whole wheat the other day. You have a variety to chose from.

      Should have added alittle more flour, remember flour absorbs differently depending on the brand.

      Not really just mix it around in the bowl added some oil to bring it together and let it rise. You can knead it if you want to tho doesn't matter.

      Not for me, I don't like hard cross buns that can be used as a weapon 😀 I like it soft and fluffy, pack yours with more flour for a solid outcome if you prefer.

      The same mug the milk was in, it's a 2 cup measuring cup, if you look closely the milk was half way in the mug which makes it 1 cup.
