    Quick question- how do store unused yeast and for how long does it keep its freshness?

      Pranesh uses yeast in his aquarium to make carbon dioxide to grow his plants so we usually don't keep the yeast for more than 2 weeks after opening.

      We would usually use vinegar however the acidity might affect the performance of the yeast. The alternative is using a 1/4 cup of yoghurt to substitute for the egg but we have not tried this one yet.

      We heated the oven to 180deg C which the buns were rising the second time and then baked for 15 mins

    Can you please tell me what kind of yeast is SE you are using is it active Yeast?
    I would like not to use the fruits is it okay. Thankyou very much.

      Hi there we used an instant yeast we get in the local supermarket (goldstar yeast)
      You can do the recipe without the current/raisins.

      Hi, the usual substitute for eggs is vinegar but that may then affect the performance of the yeast. I would suggest substituting the eggs with yoghurt instead.
