I have single (for now;) Rel S812 with Sopra 3 and Pass Labs XA30.8 and XP-12 preamp. I'm VERY happy. I wouldn't say no to a bit more amp power like 2x XA60.8(mono), but I spent way too much money lately and with the high sensitivity of Sopra 3, that 30W class A really performs satisfactory(for now)😄 Thomas would you do Pass Labs XA30.8 review one day, I wonder what you think about it. I never thought Sopra needed a sub, but I'm completely sold now on sub integration with my stereo. I'm a new beliver!!
I've used one of their older sealed units (SB-2000) in my music system for most of the last decade; in fact I'm listening to it right now. I've kept it so long because it's great at all its jobs
I have a Rythmik Audio direct servo F15HP sealed sub. After installation I invited my audio buddy over for a test listen. He could not tell that the sub was on, but said how wonderful my system sounded. I agree! I love upright acoustic bass instruments and this sub brings them into my room whole and complete!
I have been using REL T7i for couple years now with my B&W CM6S2. I wasn’t a believer of subs but after adding the REL into my CM6s, i now cannot live without it. The REL not only extended the bass but also did wonders for soundstage & detail in the highs. And i did not even have to dial it in. Just plonked it there & set the gain & crossover according to REL’s setup vids here on youtube & i was in for a treat immediately upon firing up. I believe every pair of speakers big or small will benefit from good subs. And it ain’t just about the bass!
Hey Thomas, I just love your reviews and personality and was excited to watch your review on an SVS sub. I was only slightly disappointed to discover your review was not for their SB-2000 Pro which I have but enjoyed your review immensely, regardless. I have a pair of SVS SB-2000 Pros in my two-channel system and couldn’t be happier with them. And you’re certainly right about the app: I had the first sub (added a second a few months later) dialed in perfectly with my system in no more than half an hour. My primary goal was to achieve great sound and integration for music, but also have thrilling bottom end for film. I have it all in abundance. And I’ll note what a killer company SVS is. Their customer support is simply outstanding! Cheers to you, Thomas!
@@ThomasAndStereo Yeah, you’d probably love them. No experience with PB subs, but it made sense to me that a SB would have tighter bass with more definition with music. As previously stated, I sure do love mine. Smiles abound!
A single SVS SB2000 pro replaced my Sony theater in a box sub in a medium-ish sized room. I still used the Sony knowing I'm missing something though, Dang! Good video.
I solved the sealed sub problem for both HT and Music with Seaton Sound's HP+ 15" dual opposing woofers with 4000 watt amp (2,400 for master) for $3000. Add a slave for about half that price which the master sub amplifier has 1600 watts to drive. Goes down to below 10hz in my room, will shake the seats themselves but yet remain musical (if you adjust the lfe or gain level a little). Compared to similarly priced REL subs and these blew them out of the water. Use the Seatons in both my music room and HT room. You should check one out sometime if you get a chance.
I have the svs sb-1000 pro for my two channel. The app makes the setup so easy. Used rew to align at 45 hz where my speakers start to fall off. It really makes a difference. You can't tell that it's there, but you can tell when it's not there.
This is perfect timing. I’ve been using two 10 inch Klipsch Subs for a while in my two channel open Baffle system. There’s plenty of bass, but not clean or fast. Yesterday evening I installed a Rel T/7x and removed the other two. I haven’t had time to fine tune it, but just turning it on with the same settings, ( Gain set at half and low pass at 60 hz ) The difference was amazing. Of course I have played heavy bass tracks on which it is much louder than before. The biggest surprise is the musical difference in any track I played. I listened for three hours totally in shock at the difference in the same tracks. I’m a very happy Rel customer.
Talk about shaking the house, I have a Pro Audio RCF 702 12" sub in my den. When the song dictates, I mute the SVS SB3000 and kick in the RCF OMG! Only regrets, sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten the 15" version RCF 705 :)
@@ThomasAndStereo wow that's not cool. Maybe you can create a 2nd channel for it 🤔... "Thomas Home Theater " for those of us who enjoy your reviews but are fans of AVR's , AV Processors, multi-channel amps and of course speakers & subs ! C'mon Thomas don't you want to scratch that itch again ? We're counting on you dude 👍🏽
@@ThomasAndStereo sleep? What's that ? Lol. Maybe you can throw us a bone and give us a 1st Friday (of the month) review of a H.T. product that's worthy of 2 channel listening 🤔 I hear McIntosh has a new AV component out there 🙂
I have a PC2000 Pro for the deepest bass, combined with a dual 18 inch JBL 4281F for maximum slam. I use them with a minidsp SHD Studio for crossover and Dirac. Very pleased with the result, body shaking and finesse. Also thanks to massive absorption with loads of polyester wool (1500 litres).
Dual REL quake subs (old but relatively good) in the two channel setup 👌🏻 Would love some SVS power in my home theatre setup 👊🏻 Love your videos, 80:s feeling 😂🥳
martin logan 800 is a nice sealed sub with a phone app at an afordale price, very musical.easy to integrate in a 2 channel system,Thomas is right about sealed subs for music.
Love your channel thomas. Audiophilia is about the story!!! I have a the ls50s and discovered the treble tone control on my marantz pm15 s1 thanks to you. BTW I have a 3000 micro and its great for movies and music. The app is revolutionary.
I have an SVS SB-3000 in my basement TV setup and a Rythmik F12G in my office 2-channel system. They're both great subs, and as always proper integration is critical. I wish more subs came with speaker-level connections. My main system I use a Line Magnetic 210i and only way to hookup a sub is via speaker-level. I'm considering dual SVS SB-1000 pro's to supplement my Klipsch Cornwall IV because they're the only model in SVS' lineup with speaker-level inputs.
Huh. I thought I was subscribed. Now I am. Moving along. Very well done man!! Well spoken. Concise. Thorough. I have done without subs for far too long. (I used to use a big Velodyne.) Diving back into house rattling in 3, 2, 1... Thanks again!!
My 20 year old Velodyne HGS-12 recently died. After much research (cost was not an issue, though value always is), I chose the SVS SB-4000. I run this with Nautilus 805's driven by a Parasound a21. The sub is crossed over at 38 hz. Bass is weighty and articulate without being boomy. I only listen to music on this system. I'm very happy with the SB-4000. And it can be a monster when you want it to be, like when I'm showing off my system while playing some pipe organ music ;-) As an aside, I initially purchased the SB-3000, but I could hear amp hiss with that model, even after replacing the plate amp. There is no such issue with the 4000, and SVS could not have been easier to deal with.
Thats true, when you want “fun” subs get a ported sub and go crazy. But if your all about SQ over SPL then sealed is the way to go. I just cant go ported after hearing sealed subs.
Enjoying your videos. I have the SVS SB3000 I play both music and videos through it. In my medium size den it shakes the walls! I can't imagine how a ported sub could be any better. Agree the App is something I will never live without again.
I’m currently using a REL T7i and absolutely love it. Given my budget, I don’t think I could ever do better than REL for two channel listening. That being said, if I were into HT, SVS is the only sub I would consider. With regards to the PC2000, while a Swiss Army Knife is nice, I much prefer a scalpel or Klein screw driver, depending on what the situation demands. LOL… I’m not sure that makes sense to anyone other than me :)
Very interesting! And the port plugs must help with two channel. Sounds like a workable solution. Would be nice to see a vid on your home theater equipment. I recently decided to enter the market of ULTRA CHEAP Chinese LCD/LED projectors-the sub $300 market, lol. Our main TV is an LG 55" 1080P with supporting Onkyo (51 lbs. receiver) and Polk Audio speaker surrounds, subs. Nothing too upscale but the room is not that big. I purchased a projector for the ridiculous close out price of $100, lol. Full native1080P, decent brightness and color, uses an LG LCD 6" panel, LED arrays and lens to produce the picture. By NO means state of the art, but, surprisingly movie like when properly calibrated in a VERY dark room. And no complaints from the wife because I got it at 65% below MSRP. Will eventually link it to the surround system after I get an HDMI audio extractor. At the moment, in my daughter's former bedroom in a two channel configuration with an AUX cord to a receiver. Low end, for sure. But a viable entry point into HT projection. I can now see why so many get the upgrade bug here and go to 4K laser projectors, etc.
Ripped out the HT here too... And I had one of those SVS cat scratching posts too... All gone... I did keep the SVS SB3000 subs, 2 channel baby! I have them spread out in the room, still dialing them in a bit, the sound is very good. The app is the game changer. ;-)
I own and love SB3000 SVS subs. They don’t integrate that well with my two-channel system though. Outstanding bass but a bit bloated and distant sounding. That changed when I purchased the Tekton 4-10 subs. Best decision I had ever made. Seamless, easy to integrate and effortless. Did I mention affordable? Very. Highly recommended!
SVS makes some great subs but some still seem to pass them off as a company that only makes HT stuff. I have an SB16 Ultra sub in my stereo system and it's incredibly fast and tight, and plays very accurately. Luckily I've also been able to get great bass in my listening positions by just having one sub, and placing it next to the sofa facing forward. When I got it dialed in it measures great and despite the substantial size of it most people don't even see it due to the placement.
Just recently went to dual PC-2000 Pro from the SB-3000 dual units in a home theater setup. Pretty satisfied but still dialing them in, WAF factor is strong in this one as well....
I love my SVS SB-3000. Got a lot better after running REW with a Umik-1 and tuning the EQ curve accordingly. Also sounds really good with my Onkyo running Dirac.
I just received the Umik-1 and have the REW software downloaded, have not had the time... So, how much did this help on a scale of 1 to 10 on sound quality in your system?
@@michaelwright1602 Probably 6.5-7/10. Isolation feet also a big help. REW helped to identify the room mode frequencies and I was able to tighten them up a lot using the SVS EQ in their app. Not a substitute for proper room treatment but it did more than I was expecting going into it.
You're making your own amp?! That's awesome! Can you also include an optional high pass circuit? I am currently upgrading from cheap Dayton Audio subs. I've been listening to a pair of SVS SB3000 since last weekend and I just got in a pair of REL HT1205's yesterday. The SVS seemed hard to integrate at first, but they've been breaking in nicely and I got the isolation feet. Those made a world of difference on my hardwood floor. The RELs integrated better out of the box and seemed more articulate than the SVS did out of the box. But they definitely don't have the same extention or sense of projecting the bass into the room, even at low volume. I need to break them in and also try the SVS isolation feet on them, before I make up my mind though. The one problem with SVS so far, is the plate amps both make pretty bad coil whine. SVS will send replacements and seem confident they will solve the problem, but they are out of stock for weeks. From what I've read online after the fact, I'm nervous about them really solving the problem all together. Either way, waiting will take me out of the trial period from the vendor I bought them from. I am using an Emotiva TA-1 with its integrated high and low pass circuits, driving JBL Studio 580's. Upgrading the subs has made a top to bottom improvement that I had to hear to believe, just like everyone says.
The older style cylinder svs had more tuning ports for a wide range of tuning. If you were to Build your own with a similar cylinder design using car audio 12 subs with 1200w rms and a Daytona audio dsp 1200w amplifier plate it will be way less money to build with more out put and adjustability. you should be able to build 2 subs 1200w cylinder for the price of the one svs. JUST A FYI . I also have 2 svs cylinder subs 😊👍✌️💯
As a specialist subwoofer. Svs is standard sound. I hope you ever feel 10Hz subwoofer, that can drop anything if the power enough to drive dual 1 Ohm sub
funny thing Thomas I have a 20-39pci. Well I had decided to take my focal 906s and put them in the tv room to try them out. Then I noticed my 20-39 was very boomy. So I got my rymthmik 12L and put it in the tv room............HOLY $hit I noticed just how boomy and sloppy my svs was. So now the svs is in the computer room and the Rythmik is in the tv room. But it's not quite enough BOOM for HT. So Im thinking of adding another Ryhmtik L12 or get a newer better svs that's better suited for TV and music since Iv decided to keep the focal 906s in the tv room. Thank you for the review.
Thomas, when sealed the Port on the PC2000 and set the app to music, was it comparable to a true sealed box? I've been contemplating the Dual SB/PB/PC 2000s for awhile now, I need to pull the trigger and order, 50/50 Music/Home Theater.
Hi Thomas !!! Ok...just a note about all your reviews during the last two years of the plague..they have been the best!! Thank you for humor and just straight shooting on the products. I have two quick comments.....I miss the pictures of your child in the background that's because seeing his smile reminds me of the times when my daughter would come into my listening room and dance to some songs by Bill Evans and Tony Bennet. I really like it when your bros's (friends) chime in on the item being reviewed. Finally, if you still have the Silverlines I will send you my PASS 30.8 to you at my expense (but you send it back at your expense when you are though with it deal?) for an audition, I guarantee you will be blown away with the synergy of the two pieces. Finally, during my transition to another residence I took your advice and bought a pair of Triangle 3's to hold me over until I figure out where the hell I am going to land. Your good buddy Shaun says go for the Unison integrated for a good inexpensive integrated and you say hey go for the " Billie Amp. So since I have no mind of my own whats the best synergy between the Bro 3's and the two aforementioned amps? Blessings to you and your family DR Charlie ps are you going to AXPONA?
Thanks Charlie, I had the 30.5 before and shipping from US to Canada is WAY too expensive especially with customs. However, a big thank you! I heard the Billie amp got changed recently so I don't know how the new one is, however, if you can wait 5 months, my amp is coming to the market and you might regret buying an amp now only to discover my amp has .... things, but more expensive. Thanks, kids are great, I live in Canada so will not go to that audio show.
I bought my current house for a very similar reason. Square room with a large wall for a tv and two speakers. It also had to nice side walls for mounting 2 rear speakers. Sold!
Great review, thank you. Do you have any idea if there's anything like tweeters for hifi? I've already got the sb3000 and I listened to music by 85%. I was surprised you've mentioned the sb3000 as being ideal for music lovers which cheered me up. Though I've got q Acoustic 3030i bookshelf speakers plus 3090ci centre speaker which blends in well with the sb3000. The sb3000 shakes everything to my taste. However, I still need more sharper details in the very highs which is while I'm wondering if I could add a tweeter. All my music is streamed from UA-cam. While some are great in the highs many aren't. I know UA-cam suppresses music quality. Please could you give me your idea. BTW my room space is too small so I do not want (and don't even like) floorstanders. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for sharing your opinion on SVS subs, in case you find the time, would be great if you could review the Rythmik Audio G25HP, a sealed dual 15'' Direct Servo subwoofer, imo one of the most musical subs i have heard, but would be great to see your opinion on it.
Thanks Thomas this is awesome timing because I intend to buy my 1st sub soon. I just bought a Cambridge axr100. Initially the sub will be used upstairs with a pair of Budget book shelf speakers I've had for 25 years. However, I plan to then use it downstairs with the TV for watch movies once save up for a nice amp (hopefully the one you are designing) and nice speakers. You have Patreon page right?
@@ThomasAndStereo just started my journey, like a hobbit in Lord of the Rings. It will be fun to rediscover the 300 vinyl records and 300 CDs I have bought over the last 25 years.
Thomas what do you think about mating larger subs with smaller driver speakers? I've got some incoming 2 ways with an 8inch full range driver and tweeter, but my sub is a 15" with a 15" passive. I've had no problem with mating it to dual 10's, dual 12's and single 15 inch driver speakers, but single 8"?
Thomas. You have to cultivate a broader audience over time to expand out of two channel. Review soundbars and HT Receivers you KNOW are very popular, and those people will wander onto your channel. Have fun, give it time, and don't worry.
Bro please please please do a jtr subwoofer review. You’d be literally like the first person to do so and would get loads of reviews. I reccomen the jtr captivator4000ulf. Please please please. I enjoyed this videos. Also you should try his speakers.
@@ThomasAndStereo I doubt they will, reach out to them I promise it’ll be worth it Thomas idk if you’ve ever heard a jtr subwoofer but I bet you’re heard some pretty damn strong ones. But trust me my Freud if you’ve never heard 110+db at 10hz you need to. It absolutely smashes that sun you reviewed here and the pb16 ultra. You would need like 4 of them to match the output of one cap4000ulf. I highly highly doubt you would ever review that it’s 300lbs+ but it would be awesome if you did and someone could just bring it in your house for you more like 5 people. Maybe the captivator2400 or the rs1 would be a better fit. Thanks for your time Thomas
Have you tried aperiodic alignment with the PC2000? The simplest way to make a ported subwoofer aperiodic is to take some old cotton socks and stuff the holes. I have used this alignment successfully with subwoofers from Audio Concepts, TC sounds and JBL. Dynaudio wrote a whole paper on aperiodic loading around 88-89. You might be able to Google it.
“Forget that audiophile snobbery” … 😂😂😂 this is why I love your channel, Thomas. I just ordered the SB-2000 Pro. Can you recommend a divorce lawyer? 😂😂😂
True story, My wife said, "It's either me or the drums!" Long story short, I still have the drums! New wife doesn't mind 7 foot column speakers in the living room:)
Hey, have you had the chance to listen to a PB 2000 Pro subwoofer? If yes, how would you describe the difference between the PB 2000 Pro vs the PC 2000 Pro?
My main concern is that my cat will think I got her a new scratching post. Very expensive cat toy. A big design fault. Why cover it with cloth if it's down firing? Is it cloth or just matt paint? It looks like speaker foam in every video I've watched. I love the form factor. It would suit my room so much more than a box. I wish they had the option of all piano black. I guess it will be the SB2000pro for me.
I had early versions (plus and Ultra), neither worked well in any of my 2 channel system iterations, BUT, they were 10-12 year versions of what they offer now. Volume came on fast near zero. A friend brought over his sophisticated app, but still impossible to integrate smoothly
Thomas, Thank you! May I please ask how did you integrate the Sub to your mains? Are the mains high-passed? Is there any Time Delay added to the mains? Where does the Sub gets its signal from and is that signal Summed Mono or Stereo? Much obliged young man.
Call me crazy but i run 4 rel ht1003s with the ambeo soundbar. I started with duals and got another 2 more for the 'fun' factor. All 4 eq's via a minidsp 2x4HD.
I was in charge of MOVIES at a small College once. I ordered the Monterey Pop Festival 1967 for our students to watch. I wanted to make it special (this was Spring/1972) so I hauled my house speakers and my amps and somehow connected it with a 16mm film Projector. .... You might say I INVENTED the 1st SURROUND Sound System.... just saying!
Lol Thomas you're the best! Built a home for your audio needs and neighbors peace. I did the same. Lol By the way. Do you feel that the SVS app overall allows any SVS owner to dial in the sub(s) perfectly as oppose to their older models without it? Or are the advancements more on their drivers, cabinets or cylinders being greatly improved to offer better sound quality and control? The reason I ask is because I have an older PB-13 Ultra for movies, but not for music because it can't keep up with my Sopras, but for about $300 or so I can buy a new amp from SVS, with the app tuning feature. When I was using my Kef Wireless ii Metas I loved the Kef app because I could easily tailor the Rel's to smoothly blend in, but those are Rel's and way better overall. But hey, if I can use my SVS for hometheater and music I'm in for $300. By the way, EXCELLENT idea to add subwoofer outs to your upcoming amp!!! Have you heard the preproduction model yet? Tx
@@jedknutson8373Hi Jed, you couldn't get the pb13ultra adjusted with the app or with out it? I got the pb13ultra originally because when I talked to Gary he said I could seal the pb13Ultra for hometheater and unseal it for music. But not with the physical menus for music it's impossible. Maybe with the app. If not I may have to upgrade to a Rel. I still have the T7i' s but they're not big enough for the room
@@ThomasAndStereo No worries, I'll do that, mostly wishful thinking on my part based on a few in the comments. REL would be the only way to go for both.

Can u still have 2 channel music listening expereince with added sub? Thats not 2 channel anymore. Are u playing music through 5.1 ? Im a music listening person and get confused when people say u need a Sub.
I recommend anyone interested in these subs or svs's lineup especially the 4000 and ultra series and you want to save $500-$1000 on performance to cost, look into PSA. A co founder of svs runs that company and they destroy svs subwoofers. Also HSU research if you want an affordable top line subwoofer killer for fractions of the cost.
I don't find that to be true... On my audiophile journey, I have discovered that some do and some don't. My quest is to have a system that accurately reproduces the entire frequency spectrum, so why would any true audiophile want to leave out the lowest frequencies? The visceral impact of well-integrated subs in a treated room is a life-changing experience!

Power Soubd Audio subwoofers by Tom Vore (The "V" in SVS) Such a better investment than SVS. Give them a chance, no way you're disappointed unless you're a troll named RAFCAVE ;)
btw..., The Audiophiliac did a review the other day of the REI smallest sub and was blown away by it's Musicality. It's too smaller for a ROOM with a 132" inch Screen, but for smaller rooms it sounds like another good sub. I think I want the larger REI Sub you reviewed anyway, but I thought I would mention that REI's Subs are special no matter what their size.
I have two REL T5 and they work really well with the Mag LRS for example. They work ok with the KEF LS50 other than the midbass hump of that speaker although in fairness maybe plugs and speaker placement would help. With a real speaker with a 12" woofer the T5 created a mess which I suppose could be expected given the bigger speaker able to go lower in freq than the REL.
@@ThomasAndStereo That would be neet, but I get the feeling that it's the addition of running a Class 'A' amp that makes the REI sweet. ... I'm not a big believer in Class 'D' amps. Debating between SVS and REL subs. The app seems hard to beat. Once you've got your subwoofer in the desired location I've always found fiddling with the knobs in the rear to be a huge pain. also, the singers voice sounds huge with that mk3.. love it.
Personally I found once I had gotten my rel t5s dual subwoofers integrated properly, I hardly needed to mess around with the dials anyway! 🤔 And aesthetically its always nice to be able to have ones subwoofers on display! ( if you know what I mean 😁)
@@Antibackgroundnoise Actually having physical clicks on a subwoofer is a big improvement to me. I'm looking to do exactly what you're doing which is dual T5x's. This is purely for 2ch audio, so that's why im drawn to REL. I have dual subs now, but they're the BIC PL200s. After a few years I find they are just catered more towards home theatre, so I want to get away from that completely.

Thomas, there's a huge amount of movies that have incredible scores (sound tracks) that I'm guessing audiophiles not only appreciate but probably own the CD. Do they not go to the movies and or are they watching at home in 2 channel? Please tell me they can't be that snobbish 😲 Btw, have they not heard of Hans Zimmer? Because if they say they " want to hear music the way the artist intended", well without a sub or 2 they are lying to themselves. Just saying dude. Review a speaker (within realistic means
@@ThomasAndStereo I figured you did 👍🏽 I was just throwing a little shade lol. My point is there are artist who have demanding tracks that require frequencies well below 23hz. I've yet to hear an audiophile speaker that does that. So without an above average sub "audiophile" listeners are consciously deciding to hear what they want and not what the artist intended right? Thomas, to what end is the distain for subs by these types of "audiophiles" going to continue? The presence and depth a good sub provides is undeniable. Thanks dude, and I really enjoy your channel ✊🏽
Pity you kicked home theater equipment to the curb. There's a huge fan base of both 2 channel and H.T. fans out there. There are some great AVP's, AVR's, multiple channel power amplifiers and Subwoofers that get the people excited and you're missing that segment.
it's not for me .no Bionik chip from Apple, no white option ,.......it not have 4x12"woofers like Void subs and the top is not like Funktion One from titanium,.......and i don't hear a start stop tech controled proces integrated,.......and if they don't use diamants in the proces and space tech ............and a 3x layer wood for fast sound ,.........why,oh why is on the market

I have single (for now;) Rel S812 with Sopra 3 and Pass Labs XA30.8 and XP-12 preamp. I'm VERY happy. I wouldn't say no to a bit more amp power like 2x XA60.8(mono), but I spent way too much money lately and with the high sensitivity of Sopra 3, that 30W class A really performs satisfactory(for now)😄
Thomas would you do Pass Labs XA30.8 review one day, I wonder what you think about it.
I never thought Sopra needed a sub, but I'm completely sold now on sub integration with my stereo.
I'm a new beliver!!
B&w asw10 but only use for ht
I've used one of their older sealed units (SB-2000) in my music system for most of the last decade; in fact I'm listening to it right now. I've kept it so long because it's great at all its jobs
I've got a PC12-NSD cylinder sub in my bedroom theater too. Absolute banger
Yeah, I think once you reach a certain level of performance, there is no need to upgrade anymore.
I love that you bought the house for your home theater/stereo and your wife supported the idea. So jealous.
Thanks for sharing
Not being able to tell if a subwoofer is on or off is the best way to determine if the subwoofer has integrated well with your main speakers.
Thanks for sharing! It makes me want to try the SB version now.
Using a SB-3000 with my KEF R7s....pure 2 channel listening. Cross over at 53Hz at 25Db volume. Like butter.
Congrats on your purchase!
"Forget definition and precisions.. I was all about shaking the house..!!!" I know Thomas... Been there - done that :)
Talk about shaking the house, I have a Pro Audio RCF 702 12" sub in my den. When the song dictates, I mute the SVS SB3000 and kick in the RCF OMG! Only regrets, sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten the 15" version RCF 705 :)
Thomas, nothing wrong with adding Home Theater products back on your channel. There are thousands of us who enjoy both 2 channel and H.T. dude !
I would love to but it seems my audience views tend to drop significantly whenever I move away from 2 channel stereo topic.
@@ThomasAndStereo wow that's not cool. Maybe you can create a 2nd channel for it 🤔... "Thomas Home Theater " for those of us who enjoy your reviews but are fans of AVR's , AV Processors, multi-channel amps and of course speakers & subs !

Great to hear!
(I used to use a big Velodyne.)
Diving back into house rattling in 3, 2, 1...
Thanks again!!
I recently bought a SVS SB 3000 subwoofer and I love it
My 20 year old Velodyne HGS-12 recently died.
SB3000 here, zero amp hiss. I think you got a lemon.
Great job bro ! 😎👍
Loved it. If the house caught fire I think I would grab my two Sunfire subs:)
Should have named the sub One of Nine
Haha
Omg Thomas thanks so much for making this video. because this was exactly what I was looking for. a video with svs subwoofer about music.
Can’t wait till your next video buddy. Good job on this. Hope all is well.
Oh I am sure many budget gear these days are just mind blowing.
Ripped out the HT here too... And I had one of those SVS cat scratching posts too... All gone... I did keep the SVS SB3000 subs, 2 channel baby! I have them spread out in the room, still dialing them in a bit, the sound is very good. The app is the game changer. ;-)
Great point ! This is how i want to listen to my music ! Well said . Enjoy the music !!!
Great video Thomas 👍 I use a JTR Captivator RS1 and have it integrated with my Vandersteen 3a Signature’s using REW and the pairing is seamless.
Thanks for sharing!
I use 2 SB3000's with my Magnepan 3.7i's and they are seamless
Airixis Left alone was a nice find from this video.
Congrats!
I'm still rockin' with PC13U and SB13U combo!
Have you thought about reviewing the RSL Speedwoofer? Super cheap and really good reviews.
I wish REL would have an app like SVS.
"I would rewind the same scene 3 times to feel the power" lol. Been there too 😁
I have a pair of PB-3000 in my setup and love them.
Nice, I should try it one day.
Hoping to hear about the Doge 10 Mark3 Integrated amp soon!
this is utterly relatable
is this loud enough but not too powerful but just right for deep bass heads?
I have a VS Micro 3000. I love the ability to completely adjust it via the phone app.
I need to try a micro someday.
Great review! What are the pros and cons of using one verses two subwoofers?
More balance and effortless as well easier integration?
I have a pair of SVS SB-16 Ultra.
Blessings to you and your family

ps are you going to AXPONA?

Sold!
I 100% understand you! 😂😂
Hey thomas any chance you will be reviewing hifi rose rs250 or rs150?
I put socks in the port of my velodyne, MUCH more precise and punchy. Less movie boom, way better for 2 channel music 😁
Did you use audiophile socks? 😂

Thanks for sharing your opinion on SVS subs, in case you find the time, would be great if you could review the Rythmik Audio G25HP, a sealed dual 15'' Direct Servo subwoofer, imo one of the most musical subs i have heard, but would be great to see your opinion on it.
Thanks, I think Nemo propaganda is the master at reviewing subs, for me, I don't have enough place to keep bringing subs in.

Sure, if they reach out to me, definitely.

If you would choose SB-3000'S for music maybe you could review a pair??
很棒的视频,我有一个PB2000和一个PC2000,并且使用一个8033S2低音管理器,非常满意
I had early versions (plus and Ultra), neither worked well in any of my 2 channel system iterations, BUT, they were 10-12 year versions of what they offer now. Volume came on fast near zero. A friend brought over his sophisticated app, but still impossible to integrate smoothly
Thomas, Thank you! May I please ask how did you integrate the Sub to your mains? Are the mains high-passed? Is there any Time Delay added to the mains? Where does the Sub gets its signal from and is that signal Summed Mono or Stereo? Much obliged young man.
I connect via RCA from preamp to sub. It does not have high level connection
Call me crazy but i run 4 rel ht1003s with the ambeo soundbar. I started with duals and got another 2 more for the 'fun' factor. All 4 eq's via a minidsp 2x4HD.
Hey Thomas. Try a Rythmik F12 :)

Nice story, thanks for sharing.
but Thomas, this sub lacks a high level connection...only RCA connections....so it won't blend perfectly with your speakers ?
Sure, you might lose 4.56% compare to a high level connection.
@@ThomasAndStereo Does it mean generally RCA connection is more superior than high level connection for subwoofers?
What do you think is better, 1 PC-4000 or 2 PC-2000?
2 always better then 1
Can u connect this directly to say a sonos or samsung soundbar and work awesome?
If it has a sub or preamp out.
Lol Thomas you're the best! Built a home for your audio needs and neighbors peace. I did the same. Lol
By the way. Tx
i couldn't get my pb13 to blend in at all with my 2ch, but my sb3000 it's a different story. pb13 killer for ht, but IMO 2ch no way...
Good question, I don't know, have to ask them!

Yes you can. You are not suppose to hear the sub in a nicely integrated system.
🤗 LITERALLY…WATCHED THE BEGINNING OF TOP GUN OVER A THOUSAND TIMES 😂
But my music and theater are in OUR living room….😞 SO WAF 😉😍😍😍
I know what you mean.
True audiophiles don't use a subwoofer.
"Audio journey. Passion. The hobby. Audio journey. Passion. The hobby."
But true music lovers might.

$2500 NZ .. will have to stick with my 2 little Klipsch 8" subs for a long while : /
Power Soubd Audio subwoofers by Tom Vore (The "V" in SVS)
Such a better investment than SVS.
What would be nice is if I can try the svs sealed sub version because it has the Bluetooth app where I can fine tune the sound.
It occurred to me that Class 'D' Amps do not have an inherent sound of their own.
... If you are a speaker designer working in the Class 'D' areas it seems like a Painter without any conventional tools like paint and brushes that have been used with Class 'A' to make the signature sounds most of the 'great' amps have.
.... You might say what's better - KING KONG 1933 or CGI. CGI might appear PERFECT, but KING KONG was Perfect because it TOUCHES the imperfect world and precision is not perfection in a Human World.
... I am not saying Class 'D' amps are bad, btw.
@@JohnDoe-np3zk Plugs sound like some of the cure (to me anyway.)
... Thomas mention doing a review with a closed SUB with an APP like he has today with the SVS Subs.
.... I'd probably go look for a good studio equalizer (you can always find them in excellent condition on REVERB) and spend 6 months trying to dial them in first, but I'm a glutton for punishment!
@@JohnDoe-np3zk lol the reason I have 2 RELs with my LRSs! lol
Bass maniac!
And aesthetically its always nice to be able to have ones subwoofers on display!
@@papschmear just wondering what stereo speakers would be complimenting the Rels?
Or sould that be the other way round 😄
Personally I find big subwoofer drivers are unable to keep up with the drivers on my Sonus Faber Sonetto's.
@@Antibackgroundnoise I'm currently using the MartinLogan 35xt bookshelves. I'd really like to upgrade, but not quite sure which direction I'd be going. I'm definitely satisfied with these to the point where I'll be upgrading subwoofers first. Tube amp as well.
@@papschmear I had just been reading up on your folded motion tweeters, sounds very nice, they certainly look classy.
I have Hans Z cd, forsure we all know him.
Yeah you got to go boom boom boom and your roommate moved your house a few inches in any One direction take it off its foundation concrete cracking base it's what it's shaking All about it's the truth
No way near Rel528se in depth speed and slam deeeep bass.
I may be the one audiophile that does not care about home theater.. Never have and in fact I'm repulsed by it. But I also don't care for any of the superhero/LOTR/Harry Potter nonsense movies either so... My 2 channel/headphones along with vinyl collection and streaming will only be parted from my upon death.
Wow, then a big thanks for still watching and commenting despite this is not for you.
@@ThomasAndStereo of course Thomas I watch them all!
