to be honest everyone that like and truly heard fleetwood mac knows that CM, SN and LB share the lead singer. I mean, the band's successful compositions are well distributed among the 3 so it's not wrong to say CM was the lead singer, it's not wrong to say SN or LB was the lead singer. They were during the minutes they sang their songs, right?
Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham we’re all very talented and we’re all lead singers of Fleetwood Mac. What’s with these narrow-minded middle school type comments? Lol
He is. I thought he was using a pick on this but was surprised to see him (when they finally showed him) using his fingers. I've always loved John's playing through the many incarnations of the band.
It just pulls on the heart-strings. I was 15 when this came out on Fleetwood Mac album, then came the cataclysmic Rumours. You fall in love at that age. Probably a few times. You associate periods in your life with music. Like everyone else this happened to me. There were a few girls I loved; sometimes at the same time, but could never have any of them, although I did date some. Don't ask, it's a long story and complicated. You never forget those kids you grew up with. We listened to such incredible music in the 70s. We danced, we cruised, we partied, we went to school dances, we loved, we anguished. It was an era for the ages. Through it all there was Fleetwood Mac. And, I will never forget them and these amazing gems.
Stevie and Christine both brought their best attributes to make Fleetwood Mac one of the greatest and most memorable rock bands. Bithe of them had phenomenal voices. Out the two ladies, Christine had the most unique voice. Thank you for sharing! 💖
The Rhythm section is so good. The eponymous duo is somehow overlooked in the discussion, but throughout all the various versions of the band these dudes were the foundation.
Yes, I think it's because he's playing a strat here & the extensive use of harmonics. Hard to do without a pick. Watch as he hits the last note as a harmonic. Awesome.
This is an example why the Midnight Special, was so freaking awesome and amazing. They put on phenomenal 🎶 and groups. I remember seeing Fleetwood Mac on this show. Christine McVie, is sounding like the original Songbird.

On Fleetwood Macs Greatest Hits Box Set, Christie McVie wrote 8 out of the 16 songs in the Greatest Hit's Box Set. That's more than Nicks or Buckingham. Crissy was so underrated in Mac but that's how she wanted and loved it. RIP Crissy

Better than the studio version, I always thought was kind of a flat recording. But that track worked for the masses. You can hear Lindsay's guitar licks here much clearer. Nice vocal fills from Stevie. Christine Perfect as always. The usual groove from John and Mick.

A cool detail about this performance is that Lindsey is using a guitar pick. He is almost always fingerstyle. He usually uses his right hand fingers only withiut a pick but not here. And it's a huge triangle pick that you don't see very often. It's not unheard of but it's unusual. (I call it a Dorito. When I was a little kid, I had all my favorite songs by Fleetwood Mac memorized. When I grew up, I found out they were all written by Christine McVie
love everyone's stories
Same here!
IMHO she was always the more talented between her and Nicks.
she wrote the most beautiful songs
Yep. As a kid, I was crazy over Stevie like everyone else. Then I learned Christine was the best.
Great to see Christine McVie shine!
I agree. Trust me she has always shined from the get go. Back when you only had your ears to appreciate the music. And the Midnight Special. 😊
She ALWAYS shone. They ALL did. So lucky to have seen them in real time.

Lindsey & Stevie definitely have a secret language where they can communicate with each other without even saying a word
