Is this better than Bead Maker? Xtreme Solutions Topper Review | Stay Slick

- Опубліковано 2 тра 2022
- P and S Bead Maker is widely known as the staple spray paint sealant in the detailing industry so its only natural that other products are being made to take it off of its throne. Xtreme Solutions Topper has been named as one of the “Bead Maker Killers” in the market today. In this video I am putting that claim to the test by putting Bead Maker and Topper Head to head to see who the King of Paint sealants really is.

Guys I misspoke in this video. Beadmaker is not silica based it is polymer based.
Beadmaker does have a very small amount of SIO2 in it according to P&S.
Great video! Can't wait for your review on technicians choice detail spray!
Can’t wait for the technicians choice video! I’ve been struggling with it!!
Great video again, taking notes! 👏 wish you the best man.
Thank you brother Stay Slick 🤙🏽
Thanks for the feedback, will be looking forward to your next review!
Agreed , a sealant really only needs to last till next time you wash it
I always use a sealant after a wash helps with drying as well
Just found your videos! Great content.! Never used bead maker but it’s interesting to see the results.! Thank you sir
Right on brother thank you for watching. Go ahead and try it out man you won’t be disappointed
@@StaySlick I’ll hold it to ya! Thanks again brother, have a blessed weekend
Big thanks from Québec Canada 🇨🇦
One thing I’ve noticed with the toppers like bead maker & other toppers are when you go heavy or spray on to the panel it’ll streak. I started misting my towel and you’ll see a total difference with streaking and it’ll save you product and time. Try it out when you get a chance and see if you see the difference. 👊🏾 Tuning in from Dallas, Tx - Laury’sMobileDetailing.
Yes sir I have noticed that. Also products heavy in sio2 tend to streak more or “require a final buff.”
Agree with BeadMaker streaking issues. Ever since Pan and Obsessed Garage dialed me onto Jescar Power Lock paintbsealant combined with Colinite 845 as a topper; both have been my “go-to”. I’d use BeadMaker two weeks later and streaking. I grew frustrated and switched over to your strategy. Back in November, 2022, I switched over to Jescar’s UltraLock with ceramic; Colinite 845 was used as a topper. Sure enough, still having streaking issues with BeadMaker. Because of the streaking issues, I rarely use BeadMaker.
By the way, It’s coming up to April and the UltraLock still has gloss and shine along with water repellency .
@@JustProAutoDetailingInc colonite & jescar have some of the top sealants and waxes. Good choice 👍🏾
Great video! I've yet to try bead maker but have tried Topper and it works really well!
Topper is great I just like bead maker more.
Topper overall is better
@@StaySlick I heard topper doesn't attract dust like Beadmaker does. My black vehicle is super dusty like a couple hours later with Beadmaker
I think Beadmaker is a greta short term spray sealant. You hit the nail on the head when you said who cares about durability. I agree 1000%. So many people will say Beadmaker is over hyped etc etc but P&S have never had and ridiculous claims and if you tell a customer this said product will last for six months you might not see them until six months. It’s all about maintenance. I have also noticed when claying using Beadmaker, that’s where I got the most out of actual longevity and durability.
Yes exactly. 👍🏼
Very good video and opinion on two great products.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Hi, It is my first time on your chanel and I like your video. I have bead maker and I have xtreme solutions topper. I'm a mobile detailer in Montréal Canada and when I start in early spring I prefer Topper because when it is cool bead maker is very hard to remove and make a lot of streaks. It happen on a BMW that I had to wash the hood a second time to get it nice. Both product are nice but Topper last a bit longer. I'm not saying you are wrong but for me in spring I use Topper and when it is warm I use bead maker. Conclusion : They are 2 very good product. By the way I subscribed to your chanel. Keep up the good work. It is nice to have opinion from someone else. Have a nice day
Thank you for the info. Yea as I say in my videos my opinions are my own. Everybody has their own opinions.
Good vid. I really like Xtream Solutions Topper, leaves a great shine with good Si02 properties. I’ve actually seen you in my area last couple of weeks. You do a nice job on the truck you have cleaned!
Nice thank you. What area do you live in?
@@StaySlick No problem. I’m in Sunnyside area.
@@YzFool78 oh ok which truck?
@@StaySlick The newer black Chevy.
@YzFool78 oh ok yea they’re one of my best clients.
I've tried more Toppers / Drying Aids than I can name. Topper beats Beadmaker for me because of the Pollen issue. I get terrible dust /Pollen all over my paint when I use Beadmaker. A guy named Aaron that used to work for Extreme Solutions started his own company and makes a Topper called Phoenix EOD Titan. It's the best I've ever used. Topper is still phenomenal but get yourself a gallon of Titan. You won't be disappointed
Yea I’ve been seeing a lot of love for phoenix eod. I’ll have to check it out.
@@StaySlick Thank you because it makes me crazy in the pollen loaded spring time. I do love Beadmaker the shine is awsome'
I try to keep up on product reviews. I'm a Bead Maker user too. The only product I heard was better all around in terms of both gloss and durability from a reputable source (Brian from Apex Detail) was TacSystem Moon Light. Unfortunately their US distributor went away a few years ago and it doesn't really make sense to buy/ship it from Canada, so I've never tried it myself.
Great product review 👌 for me bead maker was a no go in my area the light dust stuck on the bead maker same with technician choice spray. In this category of spray's I like xpress wax.
Help me out , I am not up to speed with xpress wax
@@danacrisler1953 Meguiars Xpress Spray Wax
Might have to try that xpress wax. I stopped using BM after a windy day made my just washed car, looked like it had been sitting in someone’s driveway for months.
Great information brother.👍🇺🇸
I love my technicians choice. Super easy to use and works great. Super slick and great water beading properties. I can’t speak to the longevity because I typically use it as a drying aid so it’s constantly being reapplied.
Yes sir great stuff especially as a drying sid
@@StaySlick The first few times I used it I completely dried my truck first and then applied it as you would a normal ceramic spray. It worked great but was more labor intensive that way. Ever since I’ve been using it as a drying aid and it still works great but is much easier to use. I’m also cheap so I dilute it. No noticeable loss in usability.
Great video, I was wondering how these 2 products compared.
There ya have it
I like the way water drips down. Im sold.
BOOM
Can you do a review of Dodo Juice Red mist detailer vs xtreme topper or bead maker ?
Thnx. I have some Bead Maker, but still trying to figure out these products.
Bead maker is great. You could just stop there
It's that sweet sweet Tampico smell that keeps me going back to Tec choice ;)
Now that you say it I can smell it.
Bead Maker seems to last around 2-3 for me when properly applied. As a drying aid I use Formula 4 and the beads stay nice and consistent. Just picked up more bead maker so will be applying it once a month as I dry
What is my best option for a hot surface?
Great video. The manufacturer of Bead Maker said that it doesn’t have any SiO2.
Yes I know I misspoke in my video.
I love Duragloss 105 , do you know any product similar to it ?
Great review man, will agree I do like beadmaker and I do own tech choice as well but I 110% agree on it not liking hot surfaces lol
Hey, I’m also located here in Fresno. I previously used Beadmaker but in my experience it seemed to attract dust more than other toppers especially here in our dusty Central Valley. I would apply and park the car in the garage, just sitting in the garage it looked like I didn’t wash the car. Any recommendations on how to apply and avoid the dusting issue? I really like the gloss and slickness but dusting issues made me go away from it.
Add 10% dream maker to it and it'll help reduce dust.
Good review, thanks for another good video!
Absolutely. Thank you Kash!!!!
Try Car Candy Ceramic Shield. It’s like the perfect mix of Beadmaker and TC ceramic
I’ll have to check it out thank you.
There a link for that green touchless ceramic? I tried googling mirror finish polishes no luck
www.mirrorfinishpolishes.com/product/touchless-ceramic-spray-rinse-sealant/240
Use code “stayslick”
Agreed, I like Beadmaker better for my slickness. The smell is awesome! I don’t use either for durability as it can be applied every couple weeks. But both are nice and either one will suffice.
Absolutely.
Nice Review! Could this product can be applied after a Carnuba wax?Regards, God bless.
Thank you. I don’t see why not.
I want to get mirror finish. But I would like to know which one you like the best all around. The bead maker or mirror finish
Touchless by mirror finish is my favorite.
I do like bead maker. I think there is better options. GTECHNIQ C2V3 is just as slick and last a lot longer. That is my go to product. Very easy to use and well priced.
Great VIdeo..!! Can I use Xtreme Solution topper in every wash? for example every week?
You can, though you probably don't need to. While it is intended as a short term sacrificial layer, it will definitely last a few weeks. That being said I don't think you can do any harm applying it that much, but really you're likely just wasting product. Every other week is still more than plenty in my experience.
I use topper in my business, not here to bash one or the other. Just sharing my real world testing. As a stand alone product I’ve seen topper last up to 3 months on daily drivers multiple times. Also topper works very well with application, as a little goes a long way. Compared to bead makers heavy first application.
Good info thank you.
I’ve read a lot of complaints about bead maker attracting dust , did you notice any difference with xtreme solutions? And just out of curiosity, have you tried Adam’s graphene detail spray ? Are you able to make a comparison? Or are they different types of products? Thanks 🙏
I haven’t really noticed w Pugh dusting with Beadmaker to make it a big deal like others say but yes xtreme solutions seemed to stay cleaner slightly longer.
Also no I haven’t tried adams graphene products yet but out of the products I have tested I believe 3D bead it up is superior in this category.
I use Adam’s graphene detail spray for after wash light protection or as a vacuum aid to break the static of the carpet , it’s definitely worth the $12 or whatever for a bottle. Smells pretty good and you only need a small mist per panel. Noticeable slickness on the surfaces after.
@@PolishedMobileDetailing503 that’s an interesting use on the carpet. Never heard of that. But I also use after the car is dry. Final pop of gloss and slickness, I think it’s great I bought the gallon. Makes it even more economical 👍
Beadmaker is for me!
Topper makes the paint look deeper.
What about the dust issues and detailers complaining about P&S Beasmaker attracting too much dust after application?
Does Bead maker in gallon form have to be diluted?
No straight up
I'm sure I'll get shit for this but if you're willing to invest $13, TW Ceramic Wet Wax is a fantastic drying aid/Topper. It works really well and holds up for a decent amount of time.
I’ve actually used it and I dig it quite a bit.
My fave is a weird product that is kind of hard to find but is definitely better than BM.
Jax Wax Hawaiian Shine. Slickest stuff I've seen when used over a wax (P21S in my case). Look forward to seeing if it does as well over a sealant as it does a wax. My previous fave was Griot's Best in Show Detailer but I used it side by side with the Jax wax and the JW was noticeably slicker and got dusty less.
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Jax wax
That's wassup. 💯
You know
What is the difference in bead maker and mirror finsh
Bead maker is a spray on wipe off polymer paint sealant.
Mirror Finish Touchless is a spray on rinse off ceramic based paint sealant that you apply with a foam cannon.
I switched to 3D bead it up. The longevity far surpassed beadmaker
Technician Choice CDS surpasses 3D !! One up the one up... Haha
I’m not sure why they’re such a cult following around this product. It performs well, but it’s not miles above any other products.
How do you feel about Turtle Wax Seal N Shine?
I wasn’t pleased with the old version and haven’t tried the updated formula
@@StaySlick For what it's worth, I have found the new formula to be very good. For the most part I tend to stick to the "higher end" products like Carpro, Wolfgang, Ultima, Gyeon, etc, but there are definitely some great affordable products out there, and TW has stepped up its game dramatically. SnS is a really solid lower cost option that lasts a good long while (for a product of its class). Smells awesome too.
Where do you buy your de ionized water ?
I actually rent a tank from a local company called culligan
@@StaySlick okay thanks. Just wondering if de ionized water and distilled water are the same
@@Jnaszty559 I was wondering the same thing.
I did a quick detail on a Mercedes with ONR and baby distilled water.. it looked great.. used less than 2 gallons of water
Fresh cut bro
Thank you bro
Bead Maker is fantastic to work with in the correct temperature range, but a bitch to use under about 5 degrees C
Hey I saw and waved at you today
I was the kid in the brown truck
I could barley see you because your truck is lifted and mine is lowered 😆
Haha right on bud good to see you.
What about DREAM MAKER ????
I never knew beadmaker is silica based as it’s not durable at all
Can you put this over ceramic?
Yes both
I prefer Bead Maker only because I can apply it every week after a wash. I don't want a strong product that will last a month. Bead maker has been so successful and useful to many people because of that reason.
Pretty sure bead maker is not silca based. But I do like it.
You are correct I misspoke. Polymer based
@@StaySlick
Good review. 👍
Bead It Up by 3D is kind of a bead maker killer. It’s slightly cheaper and produces better beads.
100% that’s all I use now
Bead maker vs bead it up?
That’s a good one.
@@StaySlick make it happen. Lol
Gtechniq C2v3, kills them all
I’ve been meaning to try it. Especially cuz I coat my clients cars with Crystal serum light.
@@StaySlick
All I install is CSL and a lot of CSU. Gtechniq is my go to for everything.
Why would spend that much money on some thing that's only going to last weeks I want something to last 6 months to a uear
There are products that will give you that durability however these are not them. These are made to be applied monthly if not every Wash as a maintenance product. If you want six months to a year I would recommend a 1 year ceramic coating like adams graphene spray coating, or 3D one year ceramic coating. If you want a year but not ceramic I would recommend daddy o by shine supply.
You must like Dust..
In my experience topper is better than Beadmaker in almost every category. The issue with Beadmaker is that the vehicle gets dirtier way faster. Like, way way faster.
I also think Topper is more user friendly, like, you can’t make the product streak even if you wanted it to. Hydrophobics for Beadmaker are mediocre, compare it on horizontal panels and you’ll see what I mean.
Also, durability of Beadmaker dies after 2-3 weeks. Topper seems to be more hydrophobic for longer.
And regarding slickness, I have no care for it. I don’t touch my paint, and I don’t think my fee clients care about slickness.
I’m taking Topper over BM anytime.
Good points man.
Bead maker any day
Topper kind of stains the container it's in. I'm not sure I like that in a product.
Yeah I actually did mention that while recording the video but those clips didn’t make it in the final cut
the problem with the bead maker it is a dust magnet
Idk why people are all of asuden talking shit about beadmaker...yes it doesn't last that long but its slick as hell and shiny as hell.. and cheap
Word brotha
But collects dust more than any other
Seems like an extra step, for minimal extra result.
I do think there is a place for these types of products and they do produce results the gloss is noticeable especially after about 24 hours and slickness although not important to everybody I feel is a good selling factor after finishing a job for a customer. In my experience having them feel the slickness excites them.
Beadmaker is a dust magnet.
Amazon waters down their car products steer away from Amazon when buying spray wax an an liquid car care stuff
Whaaat really
How do they water it down when it come directly from most suppliers?
3D Bead It Up way better
Well first off theres lots of stuff better than bead maker but then again i think all P&S stuff is weak, just because rennys name is on it dont mean its good
Yea youre right about Rennys name. Good thing they make amazing products so the name is just a plus.
Bead maker attracts dust. No thanks.
