The slickness and gloss are very similar. Topper attracts much more dust than beadmaker. So much dust that I came back to this video hoping Citrol would remove it. I guess I’ll see what it takes to remove Topper. Topper is good if you can live with the dust.
@@JoshSmith-pb8rw beadmaker is already a dust magnet you are saying that it's attracts even more dust?? What products do you use in the same category as bead maker and topper?
I use spray on/wipe on Si02 and I have been for the last decade. This year, I tried a topper because I like the idea of protecting the Si02 as the car sits outside 365 days a year in snow and scorching heat. I tried some Adams Graphene and boy did it add gloss and it lasts quite a while. We had a two week no rain, high temperature period and the car looked great. At the same time, it took some of the hydrophibicity away from the Si02 (I used Car Pro and Gyeon). I tried some Xtreme solutions topper which matched the Adams but I was very surprised when I went to wash the car and it beaded up the same as if I was testing freshly applied Si02. I'm sold on this product. Also in comparison to the Adams, the Xtreme topper is more slick.

My current favorite topper is Jescar's Bead-It. Brian, you have been the only YT detailer to really showcase it. It really is the unsung hero of these new SiO2-infused spray sealants and toppers, in my opinion. When AG has a sale, the price is hard to beat. I have been using it as a stand-alone protectant, and also have been topping coatings, sealants, and waxes with it. I always seem to have streaking and hazing issues on darker paints with so many other brand name "ceramic detail sprays", so I just use the Bead-It. It just flashes so fast, wipes away easily, and enhances gloss as well as Bead Maker in some cases. They would sell a lot of it if Jescar marketed it better!
@@nls8520 It works great by itself, or as a topper for any other protection. I recently protected a car with the new Jescar Ultra Lock, and topped it successfully with the Jescar Ceramic Spray (formerly Bead It). It works really well. It would be great on top of Power Lock.

can say now after nearly 2 years of using this product, it stands the test of time. you could borderline use it as a standalone if you felt like it, as long as it was maintained. but it does an even better job in its prescribed role as a topper...had this on top of CQuartz SiC as well as on another vehicle on top of Jescar Ultra Lock Plus and both lasted over 7 months (re-doing Topper every 6 weeks or so). Planning to use it as my drying aid on top of Gyeon CanCoat next. (Usually I'd stick with one specific brand but I've got a 16 oz of Topper to use up, and I've a) been really happy with it and b) it says specifically you can use it on top of basically anything. I also have Gyeon Wet Coat for wintertime or whenever I can't do a full on wash, I can blast a layer of it on at a self-wash and at least have a little protection without having to fully wash the car.)

Great video, I have been using this topper on a wet clean car application method and It leaves a great deep shine but I had no idea it was so resistant.
Pretty amazing, 10 washes and 2 rounds of Citrol for a topper is very impressive. Here's a question: I'm considering this as a topper for CQuartz SIC. Planning to do 2 layers of the CQuartz, and then this topper. In your opinion, is there any benefit to a 2nd layer of topper, or is the clear coat so hydrophobic at that stage, it wouldn't even "stick" so to speak? If it would extend the life a week or two I'd be into it, but if I'm just wasting product then maybe just a single layer and a re-up once a month is all that's required.

I’d say the gloss is a notch better than Shinee Wax, but noticeably slicker. Topper spreads out quickly and by the third pass with my microfiber, if I let go, the towel keeps going. Shinee is amazing, however, I have come across streaking issues. I usually apply via applicator pad. During wipe-off, the MF towel gets clogged up with Shinee. Both of these would be on the top shelf, along with Wowo’s Showstopper...which is for special occasions due to its short longevity. I hope that answered your question.

@@henryfreeman6113 He tested it as a standalone and it held up well.
The Xtreme solutions stuff is by far my favorite products I’ve ordered as someone that just does his own car, but they need to do something with shipping. 2 of 3 of my orders have arrived broken open in the bottle. They sent me a new bottle of 403 ASAP, but I just got my bottle of polyseal and it was open and about 1/8th of the product leaked out. Didn’t send an email about that one, but it is an issue.
10 dollars for shipping as well.😟
