    Not quite sure why you’re ‘torture testing’ beadmaker. Beadmaker is a topper and for most people, it is used as a drying aid after every wash. P&S makes no claims about durability. TC needs to be tested against some other ceramic detail spray with similar claims.

    When Beadmaker came out, I thought it was awesome and bought an extra gallon... Sadly, TW S&S works way better for way cheaper....for now.

      T. Wax is cheaper by the pint, but BM is far cheaper if you buy the gal. Though BM requires a bit more product. I'm over BM. Initial slickness fleeting. Nice look, but l suspect dust and other contaminants sort of adhere to it more than some. Have to use more elbow grease and pressure, seems like.

    • @Mrjozz011
      @Mrjozz011 5 років тому +1

      Stev Blatt you’re right, BM is cheaper by gallon probably looking at a 20-25 dollar difference compare to turtle wax SnS, if only BM had the durability it would be a big winner, but I’m still happy with BM as a maintenance wash and man it smells great.

    Jimbo I was part of a group on Facebook that introduced me to Bead Maker. They really hyped the stuff up. I believe you were, or maybe you still are, on there too. The group became very pretentious and everyone wanted to just kiss the moderators butt. Beadmaker is legit. These videos only show durability. That’s not what everyone is always after. Beadmaker is a “topper” not a standalone sealant. Doesn’t make sense to test it for sole durability. Need a gloss meter and test slickness etc. since most people (like myself) have great sealants and waxes underneath beadmaker and only use it for the boost in gloss and slickness and apply after every wash

      @@Phuong_Nguyen_ sure If you’re using it as a stand alone sealant. Bead maker is really only used mainly during regular maintenance washes and quick protection. It is labeled a “topper” so anyone who uses it as a topper is just to temporarily get high gloss and slickness and hydrophobic properties for a bit to protect and maintain the main coating they already have on their cars. Beadmaker isn’t meant to last for so long I think at most it’s 1-2 months of protection by itself it’s just great for ease of use and quick protection.

    I love all of your videos, but this probably has to be one of my favorites (of many from this channel); otherwise I use Beadmaker when it was suggested by "Pan the Organizer" when I asked about a comparison between Rain-X Waterless Car Wash and Beadmaker...Kinda got laughed at, but that's sometimes how you get your answers...lol...I liked Beadmaker because of how easy it was to apply, forgiving, and finally effective (very slick after that cure period and glossy that's very similar or exactly the same as a car room show quality)...When my old man brought home a Mercedes, I was asked to detail; which naturally, was very stressful for me but Beadmaker was a lifesaver because I always got the best results with that product...Either I got complimented on the car, or asked if my truck was for sale...lol...
    Naturally, since my Gallon of Beadmaker is running out, I'm looking at either experimenting with Turtle Wax (seal n' shine) or Technician's Choice...Favoring Technician's Choice because I can get it in a 5 Gallon jug and save money, and trips out to the store hoping to find it on the shelves at the value that I want it at (I wouldn't blame TW for bumping up their price to $10 instead of $5 & $6 before the demand)...With TC, I can also upgrade to ceramics when I'm ready for the ultimate chemical resistance and hydrophobic properties...

      @@nerfytart No disrespect to this channel, but referencing; but check out a video by Car Craft Auto Detailing titled "P&S Bead Maker Review: Extreme Testing, Review & Conclusions!"...I kinda understood that if you used Bead Maker, then you had to use it as a standalone or with strictly other waxes or polishes; otherwise if you used it with Ceramics, then you weren't going to get the best results...Bead Maker, used with other waxes was great as a last step to seal in those properties and I have done it with Rain-X when I wanted to preserve those hydrophobic properties...Whenever those hydrophobic properties got weak on the windshield after a month or so (windshield always gets the most attention, because you have to see out of it and it's also confronting bugs and wiper fluid); then you would simply reapply and get those properties back again to drive safer when it's raining very badly.
      To answer your question: Yes, absolutely you could use TW S&S and Bead Maker together, or vice-versa...lol...For now, I'm happy combining Bead Maker with Rain-X and NuFinish...

    I do enjoy the product comparisons here and I get that comparing one product to another is the goal of them as the videos are created today. I would be really curious to see something that looked a bit more like what someone watching this channel would do to a panel. It would be great to see a comparison of "systems." In this type of test, the sections of a panel would have a product stack from a particular company exposed to different tests. That would also really spread the gap on cost for the cheap vs expensive since there would be a set of products involved and the cost would really stand out.

    I would suggest that if you go the beadmaker route to only buy the small bottle. I have it and I like it. Before I used it, I also bought a gallon that I regret since everyone is proving other products better. For the price, beadmaker is what it is. My only problem is that it will take me a really long time to finish a gallon and I haven't even opened it lol.

    I think the lesson to be learned here is you don't apply Bead Maker properly (you're supposed to spray it on the applicator cloth and the panel) and don't let it cure, it doesn't perform well. Got it.

    I used the same two products the crappy eagle one iron remover I am trying to get rid of and dawn soap. I first used dawn then I used the iron remover to strip a car of the Beadmaker after about 34 days of being on the car in Florida. It’s been extremely hot here lately as well. Car sits outside all day. Customer wanted a coating. After using dawn and then the iron remover the car was still beading water. Beadmaker claims are 30-60 days of protection. Beadmaker easily stood the test of both the same things you hit it with. The car needed a one step polish anyways so I was not worried about totally removing the product. I personally never equal beading to protection and never = no beading to no protection. I think test can very and I don’t personally think torture test tell the true story. I get why you test products but many products you have tested have lasted far beyond what was advertise and this is after being in the Florida sun and rain 24/7. A lot of the “cheaper products” l have seen get really bad water spotting after just a month. One product being seal and shine. So results can very but I like to test true durable by time and elements.

    Just heard of this TEC582 today and decided to check out some vids. It looks like it works great! I've been using Bead Maker and getting way better results than you did here though. I get nice tight beads for weeks with it and water just runs off for a couple weeks to a month. As this vid is a couple years old now, has Bead Maker been upgraded since this video was made maybe? I'm always looking for new and better but I'm just stunned BM didn't hold up better here. I find it requires several back to back washes with a stripping soap followed by something like Rewind to get it off.

      @@lavelle3366 Not as thoroughly as I had hoped. I wanted to do a couple side by side trials with Turtle Wax ceramic spray (very durable for me, holds up well) and Griots ceramic (often praised as one of if not the best ceramic sprays) but just didn't have the free time and weather cooperate at the same time much this year. That said TEC582 has become my main ceramic spray. It's very easy to apply in my experience and doesn't show streaking on my dark red paint which is a major plus in my opinion. The only side by side I got to do was with Turtle Wax ceramic which seems to hold up a bit better than the TEC but is a MAJOR pain to apply to my dark red and not get streaking. Like a HUGE pain. The TEC may start to fail a bit sooner, maybe... it was really hard to tell but it's so much easier to apply that it's defiantly worth it! I didn't get to do a side by side with Griots ceramic spray. TEC defiantly holds up better than Bead Maker for me too. For me, the TEC is the winner over Bead Maker.
