I’m 3.5 mins into this podcast, and already I’ve seen JP laugh more than any other podcast I’ve seen him on. If that alone doesn’t illustrate the magic that children bring out in parents idk what would. It also clearly shows how much JP’s kids mean to him, which is one of his most endearing qualities. It is wonderful to see.

I've also wondered about the absence of Jordan Peterson's son and, to be honest, drew unflattering conclusions about it. To find them here, on this video, discussing work that they're doing in partnership is a surprise, but a happy one. Jordan respects his son's intellectual independence and his desire for privacy and so that family works in happy conjunction with each other.( presumably Mrs Peterson exercises her independence too!!!) Not mentioning Mikaila's presence is not judgemental, she's put herself out, publically, and doesn't need some stranger to validate her.

Hi Dr. Peterson, I’ve been pursuing my psy.d in clinical psychology for 4 years now and it’s been extremely difficult but worthwhile. You’ve been someone I continually look up to and model in many ways. I do put my own personal twist into all of it. It’s been an interesting experience finishing up my 20,s and entering into my 30’s. You’re lectures; interviews, advice and books have been a grounding force for me during this time for me navigating growing into myself. I truly love the man I’m becoming and love you’re emphasis on taking care of the small things in your life. You can’t take on the big things in life if you’re not taking care of the small things first! If it means anything, I just want to let you know that I’ve been rooting you on throughout all the hardships and hurdles you’ve encountered as a result of you being unapologetically authentic and courageous. You haven’t been alone through it. You’re a great man and have done good for humanity. Thank you!

Your comment is SO inspiring! I've not trusted (nor had any good experiences with) therapists for a very long time. What with our colleges & universities churning out radical Iiberal ideologs, they transfer their political stances onto their patients & judge them, instead of trying to actually just treat them. Even reading the comments on their OWN websites is terrifying at times. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. (& clearly I need that editing program they were talking about!)

Respect for homeschoooling four children, it's not easy, hang in there. I was a family support worker and I always tried teaching my families that relationship building is more important than parenting styles and perfection. Playing with your children, while letting them lead the games, sitting and listening to them, sometimes without jumping in with advice and admonition, and living what you want them to become, will do more to create positive future relationships with them than anything else.

Man, that moment when Jordan and Julian were talking about Julian taking a step back during their family sickness - you could definitely tell it's been a point of frustration for him, and a point of regret for Jordan that they couldn't focus on him the way he may have needed as a young kid, but that through grace, will, and strength Julian somehow overcame the unfortunate necessary neglect but that both at some point have probably reconciled over it. Methinks it's also related to why Julian said "We don't think the same."

I'm 27, my family is very distant, physically and emotionally, I had no father to be there for me and instead found wise men like JP to guide me.
I was just dumped again, after a long relationship, and I likely deserved it. I'm in the belly of chaos, and after seeing JP go through so much, and how happy he is with his children, it inspires me to not give up on my life.
I hope one day I can find a way in this harsh and unforgiving world to find a partner I can love deeply and rely on for life, and raise a family. Thank for for being an inspiration and a guide in my life Jordan when all else was dark and hopeless. I love you very much.

I've taken in countless lectures, met you in person and changed my life. I went from a worker drone to a multi-site supervisor. I've gone from living with my parents without direction to becoming a homeowner. But here, you've upped the ante and raised the bar without even knowing it. If I get the chance to be a father, this is the new gold standard on what that looks like.
Julian, your album is fantastic, but you need more songs! I played along with I Can See on the piano and I can't even play piano. Great vibe!

Loved the moment that Mikhailia and Julian shared when Jordan was moving his fingers the way he always does and they mimicked it. Something only siblings can do, sharing a moment like that. My guess is they have seen it done many times before. What a fantastic video!

I find myself genuinely laughing along, and closely listening. I wanted so much for my own family; my parents and brother, to be like this. I have this same blueprint in me - but sadly my parents were pathological, and my brother was an abuser, a manipulator, and a bully toward me. I both withdrew to a magical interior world, as I fought and out-maneuvered my family. I survived, but it sold most of my life out. I’m alone now with no close friends and thousands of miles away from my family who I went no-contact with five years ago. My interior life is more free than before, and my relationship with the world is uneventful, as I need it to be. Most people are off-putting to me in general, but I could be in the room with these three and I know we’d click.

I've had times in my life where I've had no friends, it was hard for me as I think I'm naturally an extrovert though with introverted tendencies. Try to seek out a few friends... I seek out super kind, intelligent folk.. they are all I can handle. Much like these three. You can do it slowly but surely, soon you will have found your little tribe. Procreate if you can, family is great. I hope you can create your own happy community. You've made a HUGE start (the hardest part) by cutting out the toxicity.. now see if you can bring in a little love :)

So great to see Jordan in such good form. Julian is his own person and yet I see how much he has been informed by his childhood experiences. Both Mikhalia and Julian are very grounded and well rounded individualists. Thanks for the interview Julian.
