Can you guys talk about how you validate your MOA guarantee or maybe post some footage or results from your testing process? Have you had any barrels fail your accuracy testing or had to do a redesign to maintain your guarantee?

Stop trying to be some elitest, first the barrel will outshoot you guaranteed, second if your running precision this isn't the barrel for you. Should I go on or can you sit back down?

Sarah, don’t change. Love your personality on the videos. Also, same with Clint. You both have a great working dynamic and it’s very entertaining. After a long shift today, very nice to watch your video. It’s like the gun version of Wayne’s world on SNL (I mean that politely and as a compliment). A nice sketch with valuable information and comedic relief. Both you, thank you and keep it up. Love the outtakes

Can you cut down on the opening BS? Really gets in the way of your quality videos.

Great answer to the Hanson vs. Heavy vs. Fluted barrel question. I don't think you can ever go wrong with that sexy fluted barrel, love my 18" .223 fluted barrel! QUESTION: Any chance of offering the fluted barrels with different finish options? Does the finish have any effect on heat dissipation and/or accuracy? Thanks as always!

Thanks for answering my questions! I know it was kind of a tough cookie to unravel. Don't change Sarah! I meant that all in good jest.
Unless you start having heart palpitations... then definitely switch to decaf. :P
To keep the ball rolling on some Q+A ideas:
    1) In terms of longer barrel life and durability - is there a clear winner when it comes to a chrome lined barrel bore v.s. the QPQ Black Nitride?
    2) In the same vein of thought is there any particular durability advantage for a barrel that is cold hammer forged v.s. a conventional barrel that was button rifled?
    3) Many precision barrels seem to be made with 416R Stainless Steel. I am presuming because it is a softer metal and easier to work with. Generally speaking does 416R Stainless tend to erode faster than it's 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium counterparts?
Thanks! And Happy Father's Day; especially to Clint!

Why doesn't BA offer any spiral fluted barrels? The Stainless/Spiral Fluted/Nitride over coat that leaves the flutes stainless is just a beautiful barrel!!

Ya'll are great! Keep up the great work! I only have one BA barrel. It's a lightweight 16" middy I like it a lot and it's plenty accurate. I installed it in my wife's "Project Featherweight" I built several years ago on M4C. The original RRA barrel accuracy started degrading (it was very used when I got it from a friend).

I built an upper for my patrol rifle using a BA upper and 13.7” Hansen. Using a aimpoint T-1, geissele free float rail and 62 grain, I was almost shocked by the accuracy of the barrel. I don’t know if I could actually shoot well enough to shoot anything more accurately out to 200.

  • @manueladolfoholzmannillane3050

ok, but if i have two barrels, both have the same weight, but one is flutted, The myth says that the flutted one it is going to be stiffer and have better heat dissipation. True or false?

What separates your barrels from Krieger or JP.? Looking to buy a 20 inch for my AR 10 in 308.
Why buy yours over theirs besides price?

Question. In regards to AR lowers.......are the manufactured lowers from BA made to take short throw safeties? Is there a move across the industry for this or just a few manufacturers making all their lowers this way? Or are like sprint runs....with only a few able to take the short throw safeties. Lastly, do you prefer a short throw safety or not?

Illini Armory i built my latest ar on a ba m4e1 receiver set and ba performance series barrel...i am running a radian talon safety selector (ambidextrous and set at 45°) and it runs wonderful. Ar15s are standardized for the most part so any reputable manufacturer’s part would fit in just about any reputable lower. Something like billet lowers may not always conform to standard external dimensions, but all pin diameters and spacing will be fine. There are exceptions, like colt with their large pin/small pin horseshit for example, but for your purposes you should be fine.
Edit: some manufacturers stack fewer tolerances than others...my lower i am running that ba m4e1 receiver set with a solgw lpk, geissele maritime bolt catch, geissele sd-c, geissele super 42, b5 bravo, bcm grip, and radian talon. They all run together like a dream.
I have mil spec and short throw safeties, i like them both. But prefer the talon.
Buy quality. Buy once, cry once.

How can an AR-15 barrel be considered free float having a gas block, tube, and barrel mounted sights for example?

the named items do not offer structural support like a rigid stock would, and can float with the barrels harmonics.

Got a question and I hope you guys can answer it. I'm stepping off into uncharted territory and have decided that I want to surprise my wife with a build of my own design. My goal is to build her an AR10. I have already purchased the Aero precision M5E1 builders set (Getting Cerakoted Robins egg blue) and I have my eye on the BA 18 inch 308/nato barrel. Other than those items, my question is; Is there a certian Buffer/spring combination, trigger assembly, LPK etc that is required specifically for the AR10 that can only be used in the AR10 or are the AR10/AR15 parts basically interchangeable? With the exception of the BCG of course.. I know its gonna have to correspond to the caliber im shooting.

In the form of a question...
When do we get a factory tour?
I'm sure everyone would find the source of the background noise interesting.
Maybe like a barrel making video every step of the way.
    If it's a "trade secret" we won't tell anyone.....promise.🤐
