its always the same... Zeni brings out a new chapter with a strong new item/class etc so that many people buy it and then, after some weeks/month it gets nerved. But you are right, this nerv comes realy early this time. (sry for bad english, im german)

Necromancer is best in slot since it came out . They nerf only sets not classes . Necro is their p2w child
If it's for new or inexperienced players, why is it a mythic item.

Getting a Mythic is hardly a difficult task.
@@Externalerror well, if you've unlocked all traits needed for it. I can only dig up the basics at this point lol one of the unaffected new customers thankfully.
By the time you're able to dig this up, you're neither inexperienced or new to the game.
Scrying is also super easy to do and doesnt require me to be at a certain cp, so I would say it's for those who are under a certain cp, maybe? I started about 3-4 weeks ago, and I just got this mythic the other day, and I'm around 171cp. My "builds" are all new beginner builds due to some of the sets being locked behind 300cp, which is completely fine and I'm enjoying the content I can do. I'm really enjoying the solo pve side of things in the game, so being able to do that at my level with the oakenshield, and post-nerf, will be great until I can start farming for gear post 300cp.
I just nerfed my eso sub.
SOmething that a lot of people miss is that Oakensoul helps people with high latency. We live in South Africa dn play on EU. Our standard ping is 350+. Oakensoul helps because barswapping is not always an option for us, the lag in playing is too great. problem is, most of our builds are stuck at 20k DPS. This also means we never get a shot at the trial gear coz no-one wants to play with us high latency/low DPS people. But we still love the game, have been with it since the original beta.
That's what made me quit the game, it's always the same, ALWAYS!
They nerf some set and add new one in dlcs. Nerfs on sets are wrong, they should balance some other way, I got tired of farming/upgrading sets just to be nerfed patches later.
Major slayer would be nice and it wouldn't impact pvp problem solved
Mythics cant use major buffs that can be applied only from trial sets
I would say that mythic should not be usable in pvp by just add block to battlespirit

Talking about priorities.... Instead of fixing the game itself or improving the inventory and bank system they play with items and skills.
I think they don`t need to nerf Oaken, they need to remove it from cyro/IC/BG, thats all....
They should do it like they did with the Pale Order. Nerf when in a group depending on how many in the group, and in pvp while Battle spirit is active. Problem solved.
@@lysgaard9292 ehhh i dont think so, its targeted for newer players to help do early group dungeons aswell as solo play to help be able to farm out better gear sets

They are doing this just for pvp! Why can't they just disable it in pvp and leave it alone for pve. I'm a average player and don't do alot of pvp and this ring let me do alot of high-end pve content that I couldn't b4
Well! that it was going to be nerfed we already knew but I didn't think it would be so fast.
Its a pretty obvious OP item. Dont even know why would they create such an item while endorsing the usage of all 10 skill bars for dot and heals

They keep nerfing items because PVP players complain. Well then nerf it for PVP!!! Don’t mess with PVE, who cares if it’s powerful. PVP ruins this for everyone all the time.
A simple breakdown on what is getting removed and what is staying would be nice without having to read the patch notes.

so… given the wide nerfing of light and heavy attacks as well as the new 2 sec tic on DOTs // this really hits hard for average and solo plays looking to play the story on the way to end game… if they were worried about end game dmg or PvP damage - why not simply forbid mythics from pvp and vet HM trials? It’s clear without meaning to - the devs have targeted low end players so much more than end gamer parsers.
Is it worth it dropping a second bar? No.
They only create these op items to get people to buy dlc, then the item gets nerfed. Pretty unethical.
Yeah I'm new to pvp and a guy in 2 basic crafted sets and oak ring was trashing my fully gold, pvp optimised toon, by being new I don't mean trash either, I get between 20-40 kills a game but this one guy took 28k hp like it was 10k

You also start to understand that some players are idiots because they can't see past the fact the bar swapping in ESO is garbage. Instead of nerfing everything, they could have maybe increased the attack speed for melee weapons. How about fixing the bugs still in combat?
Lets be realistic here, people are pissed because they farmed for the ring just like how you farmed for relequen and then saw LA and HA getting NERFED. Alot of DOTS abilities will be worhtless to run and you will want the ring
One bar build was a cool way to break out of meta and I will still use it because the buffs are nice. The ring really wasnt nerfed that bad, but alot of sets and friggen combat will be.
Game became a huge yawn years ago, and nerfing stuff that took months to grind is an absolute deal breaker.
There isn't a single thing in the game that takes months to grind.

@@XYZ_55 How long would you say it takes an average player to farm for and min/max a build? Or 2 builds, for those of us who PVE and PVP? Hell, before the changes to item drops, how long do you think people were farming say Medusa flame staves? The point is, it takes time. Time which at this point feels wasted when the devs keep changing core mechanics every couple of months.
@@Darkraskel I did that grind for both medusa and undaunted infiltrator. I learned the chest spawns and it took me about a week each, playing for a couple hours each day.
They could have at least kept major heroism
I'm sick of this constant farming of new gear and nerfing after spending most of the time farming I'm proper done with zos.

I'm so happy with my 70.6k DPS Oakensoul Templar. Let's see what I get post-nerfs, with the exact same setup! I'm guessing 30-40k.
It's time we take a stand.. we need to STOP them from letting this patch go live! The patch is going to ruin the game forever if we let them do this.. boycott this patch by NOT buying any crowns and cancle eso plus hit them in the wallet to make them listen and retract this terrible patch! They only care about the crown store anyway.
I quit eso about 5 days ago, I feel like it was a good move and I've had no desire to log back in.
I think a lot of people might do the same when the changes start. They are trying to remove skill progression and it's not a good move.
Yeah, my subscription ends in September right around when this update will come out for console. I usually end up taking a break between September and February anyways but this along with all the other changes have made it pretty easy.

This ring was made for noob PVE players, so i dont know who is pleasing who, Noobs had a glimbse on what it feels to deal a little more damage, while veterans became lazy and dealt 100k damage whit their eyes closed and lets not start about PVP. Obviously you dont know anything about it

Pretty soon they will nerf the ring by making it reformat your hard drive upon wearing it

I still feel like they shouldn’t have nerfed it that badly. It sadly was (from what I mainly heard all over) due to pvp, who would’ve thought right? They should’ve just disabled it in pvp and left the ring alone in my honest opinion.

Nah... I can think of several mythics I would use before a nerfed Oakensoul.. the nerf is one thing, the nerf on a one bar build cripples the item... it will NOT be part of the meta anymore

The main problem is the 5% of players who have the skills to weave and play end game. The majority of people on this game are AVERAGE. This is another example of how the minority of players are controlling the majority without the skills and the average person needs this ring to compete. But none the less the few who scream the most cause the nerfs to happen so they need to stfu in the future. It's ok to show everyone the benefits but keep your mouths shut and quit complaining about the average person being able to maintain along with you few elites. After all you all are being supported on your websites by the average person. Maybe if you all scream nerf enough, your websites will go down the tubes and you'll have to get a job like use disgusting AVERAGE players.

For everyone who is crying about this nerf - this ring is supposed to be an accessibility tool for people with disabilities, older players who can't play as effectively and casual players who don't aim to be competitive.
These group of players will still be able to complete same content as they were participating in up until now.
This item isn't supposed to be an easy mode for both pve and pvp. if you can't understand this then you are a moron.
Oakensoul will still let players do 75-85% of the dps you get when playing with 2 bars.
This item is supposed to let groups of previous mentioned people not be left in the dust, it's not supposed to let you compete with high end sweatty player parses.
This was never supposed to be a "one ring to rule them all"... it's accessibility tool

When you nerf a pve game due to a small pvp factor you prove you're an idiot. Match making is already horrible and useless. So us solo players get shafted. Why I really depise the mmo route anymore.
Some of us only pvp and play for free, which is a demographic that gets shit on in mmos and this nerf actually saves some face with me. If im going to pve there’s like 50 other games I’d play before eso tbh
@@fredguy1749 as someone who dont play PvP at all and currently only play solo, this nerf was dumb. they should have nerfed it in groups (pve) and in PvP zones only and let solo players get the full use of it because it wassnt THAT strong that the "target audience" would be able to do everything with this alone.. it would simply allow them and me to get a better experience across the board. being able to actually solo some stronger World Bosses instead of waiting 30+ minutes on someone to finally join in and help felt good.
I do understand you as a PvP player, but PvP and PvE should always be seperate.. its causing issues in most games when shit gets nerfed in PvE because of PvP..

Nobody say they struggle with be "Solo content", its the group content that solo players gets kept out of that is the problem that was fixed with the Oakensoul and the nerf makes that more challenging again. ESO is both an RPG and an MMO. If I want to play solo through all the story missions and also be able to deal with world Bosses and some group content, then how does that affect you at all?

I quit pvp after this ring dropped and now I’m laughing at all the cyro regulars that paid $40 to be god for a few weeks lol it was the only reason to buy their overpriced expansions and now it’s marginally beneficial in pvp, as it should be. Them snipers were annoying and probably still will be but they aren’t pvpers by any means and shouldn’t be the strongest
Ring is useless now.
People are angry that they bought a broken ring because of their greed in wanting to blast through everything. They tried to justify it any way they could to keep it overpowered. The truth is it was getting nerfed. It altered the way the game was played. Not only that, what would be the next mythic? Even more overpowered? Now they would be in a spiral like those idiots who go for the next big prank to retain their viewers until it goes too far. For example that YTber iShowSpeed and Nicocado Avocado. Do you really want ZoS to be that way? It will only lead to it's fall at the end. Yet the preorders told ZoS you all love that type of stuff.
