- Not looking good, too many changes at once in the next update for ESO. I really hope they are going to make a lot of adjustments before this gets released.

Im almost done now, why always 100 stupid changes in every patch. They have no idea, what they are doing, its no more fun playing this.
Gilliam should be removed from lead combat balance he always over thinks these things and trys to balance around dummy parses instead of actual game content. Second these changes were made to lower APM to help stabilize the servers also to nerf DPS across the board. My biggest issue is the players hitting 50-70 dps they are the ones that are getting hurt the most in direct conflict to the reasons ZOS stated. There also make up the majority of the player base.

I have a feeling they are doing this because they don't want to shell out to upgrade the EU servers to the same standard as the NA servers. Fewer ticks per second results in less calculations per second on the server.
I had this thought too! If you check out that thread, you will notice they mysteriously have no developer comment on that 🤔
@@higgsbosontesticle No I think it's just an adjustment because of the fact that tey had lost pro gamers over the year. So Now fights and Vet-Instances will be easier but they will take longer. And so a so called Newbee will have more fun or at least find it easier to enter the game. But the Pro Gamers or High DPS Players will take a look for another game.
As long as they can sell their game to more people Zos doesn't care about their fans anymore. That is how the breakdown of that patch notes feels to me. I cant see the relation to the EU-Servers upgrade. That is a different thing. But you may be right. As long as the community is unsatisfied with the patch we will not talk about the Server-Update they could not do because of the fact that some hardware can still not be delivered.

when I found out about update 35 I started looking for new games and even stopped eso as much and now focusing on mainly my fave assasin creed games and I’m havin a blast. I urge others to do the same. If they don’t fix this mess I will quit eso altogether just like everyone else. we shall see but I’m prepared to delete the game and never look back if this patch goes live as is. What makes this real sad is how the goal of update 35 is money driven but disguised as wanting to help new players. real scumnny and down right sad.

I've been putting in a lot of work for a long time to make Heavy Attack Orc viable in Veterans. Haven't bought High Isle yet but how hard am I and other Heavy Attack builds getting fucked?

I don't understand how making DoTs last twice as long makes them more "accessible". Are they telling me that pressing a button slightly more is difficult?

ZOS combat design team have completely lost their marbles. They are out of touch with their own f*ckign game for ages and these changes are just another display of utter ignorance and incompetence. What used to be a pretty decent MMO with nice class diversity is now a pile of streamlined randomness.

The spamming newb will be viable to play with the people who play the rotation. But probably still use dots, seems like they are closing pve skill gap and pvp ridiculous. Like the idea but they need to rework combat as a whole to get me back subbed.

Morning, will the 12% damage buff for warden whilst frost staff equipped carry over to WW form?
I’ll wait until the release to see if they listen to the community, but my enthusiasm for the game has taken a hit. I liked HI, but I’ve already noticed low numbers in the area and my main raiding guild has pretty much folded and moved on to other games already. After this latest announcement, I doubt they will return. If these changes go ahead, I will also be looking for something else to play.
Does this mean we need to start stunning, immobilizing or whatever that psijic skills was to keep trash mob in place? Obviously none of these matter for world bosses but at least the trash mob can be keot in place for DoTs?

The changes won't effect me that much because I play ESO as a single player game. I'll just use mostly direct damage skills. Mobs die too quickly for DOTS to be worth using with the change. But the changes still suck!

as someone who only has 2 characters (sorc dps/dk tank) ill be kinda pissed if this goes live, ill only have the option to play tank since sorc will be pretty bad.

@@DTA1987 i dont really have the time to do that + leveling up all the abilities/skills/skill lines + gearing again + learning another class, not really appealing to me atm. ill just wait till the update to decide whether ill keep playing or not.
@@nedive yea man I feel the pain... personally really enjoyed using the warden class the last couple of updates. but kinda bored having to switch classes just for DPS purposes.. getting forced out of a class because of the devs for me just seems like they running me in circles wasting my time.

VMA haunts me to this day.... Inferno staff used to be a nightmare to obtain before collections and all.
@@DTA1987 i have nearly full collection, just 5-6 weapons are missing... its hard work. But if you have the oakensoulring, its not that hard anymore. Good luck!

why does the combat team not immediately see all these issues that even the average players do? I dont get it, are they just that incompetent? Or are they malicious and just want to push the next dlc with op sets? that much incompetence for 8 years is just not believable to me
They don't play their own game. They're just looking at spreadsheets and statistics.
I don't get eso I played on gamepass liked it bout the game with real money digital and I can't trade or make my own guild it says it's not available on this server how I switch servers then on Xbox one. I played with some friends they can trade and stuff were on same serv why cant i. I tried searching up why I can't trade 2 no one has a vid I never traded before.they need to fix trading won't let me trade been like this for awhile but i still play.

With all these horrible changes, you almost wish they'd introduce a group of representatives that are respected players amongst the community. Maybe assign specific classes to each individual that they might feel like they're experts in. This way, before you make outlandish changes that ultimately becomes detrimental to a class, you can ask for feedback from these representatives. I might be going out on a limb here, but I'd call it the "Class Rep Program"...
I don't think they care for the current player base. I think that's where it's gone wrong. I hardly doubt the top to mid tier pve or pvp players base have even touched the card game, to me it a clear indication they want to introduce new players with no coincideration of the current player base. snowflake syndrome at its peak.
@@DTA1987 Indeed. They seem to do everything in their power to get experienced players to leave the game. They're only interested in sucking in new players. Eventually they'll run out of new players and the ponzi scheme collapses. They could also just listen to experienced players and make changes that will retain the player base, but they choose to just dump on their player base each and every time they come out with these changes.
The funny part of this update is, zos catered it to new players/casual players, yet those who entered the pts to check it out, complained about this update 🤣 lots of veterans are complaining too🤣 i hope that zenimax will do what happened a wile back with the light/heavy attack changes, purge the idea for that patch atleast, the dot changes are horrible, i can live with the destruction of light and heavy attacks but the dots are going to kill the vet dungeon and vet trial gruilds
If they want to make it eazier to keep up dots, why dont they just i crease the duration and the cost wilst keeping tye tic rate and power as it is before this horrible update
Came back to check out ESO for the new Chapter, but High Seas is such an insanely bad value- Card Game, Sidegrade Raid, and 1 single zone to quest in. No new class, no new faction with its own side stories...
Just a gimmick mini game that other MMOs had for years.
Now I am reminded about ESO's awful policy with balance and changes. Sets you work hard for are always a gamble. Will it be BIS meta for YEARS like Rel/Roria, or will it get nerfed useless in two patches?
What really gets me is how the time/effort of obtaining an item is never calculated, anything is dashed on the whim of whatever bloated meta they seek to reign in.
One day I knew there was gonna be a reckoning with the high pressure rotations of this game, but as usual their solutions are worse than I could imagine, and misunderstand the intricacies of their own game.
As usual some of the funnest builds are taking a hint under flimsy reasoning, and we will just have to see how it plays out.
Glad to see Alcast is still a voice of reason and quality insight!

Y'all know how to prevent this... Don't pay for crowns. Don't buy DLCs. When they see their decisions affect the bottom line, then they will listen to the players.

They say this is to reduce power gap............ yet most of this stuff effects casuals more than the top 1%
I bought ESO + every year, and now they do that, I'm very disappointed, the idea is when you buy something you want to get what you want
Well, let's try to see the positive sides of this: things will surely be adjusted in the next weeks, no one liked these changes and they know it and they cannot do worse than this.

No. I don’t owe ZOS anything. Clearly they have zero regard for the player base. Why would you “see the positive?” Don’t be a doormat.
I'm not beign one man, if they do go on with these changes many will leave, including myself. I'm beign cautiously optimistic because this is a disaster and if zos does not fix it they'll lose money

@@a.l.286 dude, the perfected weapons (VMA/VDSA) made me leave for quite a long time. I spent many hours farming and getting better. To have all my progress reset. The (almost outright removal) of animation cancelling was bad enough, but now this? After years of players practicing rotations and min maxing to get proficient in combat, instead of rewarding players for merit, they screw everyone over for improving their skill? So what if there is a gap in skill? There should be. In fact that’s also zenimax’s fault because of their greed. It takes an insane amount to level up skills and things like riding speed, which are character bound (except you can purchase in the crown store).
I really do hope that this goes live and is a disaster and that the entire group that made this decision lose their jobs.

Next year's chapter would help me to make my final decision if I still should be playing ESO as my main MMO or just play it on the maintenance mode they moved to after Greymoor.
I might come back for Q4 DLC but yeah 2023 is the year of zos for redemption or just be there for the whales and new players.
Rip eso. Cancelled today my steam I ain't pay a single penny until zos get a grip. Really sad because eso being my 3 years hobby after quit wow but I come to the point I can't keep up with the changes I spent 90% of my time for farming gear who in the next patch update/latch getting nerfed. Don't even make start with the pvp same bgs for years lagfest in cyrodil and nothing to do competitive when come to pvp. Even wow is more competitive and more versatile in pvp.
I have not bought the last expansion because I'm focusing on another game right now.. but by reading this patch note I think I might just give up ESO.
I'm tired of the constant "1 step forward 2 steps backward". I'm not saying that Devs cannot tune their game... but I'm tired of changing builds just because they cannot stick on a decision more than 6 months.
Adjustment can be made when something is broken (overpower skills etc.), but with all the nerfs they are going to apply nobody can believe that so many things were broken.
As it has been said in the video, Dungeon or Raid boss will still do as much damage than before while we'll do less damage and the healer will have more tough time to keep us alive...
Well, it's their game; I let you guys test all these changes on the PTS, I'll watch videos once the patch will be released and decide if I still want to play this game or not.

I HATE the new jabs animation (not even a unique spear model) and IF you change the animation WHY wouldnt ALL spear animations change? the laziness of zos is unbelievable
Light attack weaving is super boring for me. So, when I heard they were changing the combat I was actually pretty excited. Maybe more emphasis on abilities, over light attack weaving. However, I should have known they would not only keep it boring, but make everyone weaker. I’m pretty much finished with this game, even if they do roll back the changes. ZOS is just clueless and seems very much against making the best MMO ever.

This is exactly why I stopped playing this game. We spend years perfecting the games mechanics and farming sets just for them to constantly change what we like. It’s been real eso🤝
