"They're coming for your fun." - so sad but so true!
Very nice video Deltia! Again, I LOVE the comparison videos you do! Keep it up!
They’re coming for bombers and mist exploiters next. Graveyard and Dark Convergence chain spam is out of control.
Maybe, yeah. But you can't do all of the content with it, because there are mechanics where you have to change your skillbar or you kill your complete group. (Trial)
For the Night blade, if you use the path skill for heals, you can use concealed weapon skill passive to get 10% more damage by staying inside the healing field (refreshing major expedition). You can make a shadow version too by including shadowy cloak to bypass mobs and start the battle with that 10% buff. Also concealed wep gives off balance on flanking attack. So cloak, strike (10% + off balance), HA x2, path, HAx4, wall... etc. It's an option. Or go without cloak: refresh path, wall, HA x4.... etc.
Thank you. I have pain in my hands sometimes, and your one-bar builds are extremely helpful.
The Warden is amazing, and really fun to play. I've adopted the Creative Excuses build w/ Grave Inevitability and Seargents, then use Wild Guardian bear w/ the Lightning staff. Even w/ Order's Wrath and Seargents this warden can tank any dungeon solo. BUT, now that my eyes have been opened to the Sorc!!! I may just have to give that a try :)
Deltia remains the GOAT for solid build advice and in-depth tips for solid gameplay. Single handedly saved my templar from being shelved eternally with this build guidance. Thank you so much for all do in the community man!
This was the video I was waiting for! You’re awesome, Deltia!
Great assessment. I've been using this build for about a month. It's great for people with limited or no skills (like me) but isn't a threat to world records for those that do. lol. I'm finally not embarrassed to play in groups. Subbed. Thank you.
Hey thanks for the great builds! I just returned to the game after a long break and I brought some friends :D it's great that I can show them easy but viable builds that enable them/us to do a lot of content
It's amazing how good you can be if somebody knows what you are (should be) doing. Used this build on my mage and more than doubled my DPS. Thanks :)
Great vid. Thank you Delt. I'm going to try your builds out thank you, you are a great source of inspiration to try things out of the box. And have f..f...f...f...fun. Oh wait. You've got a week to enjoy it :D
ESO only boomed recently because WoW was pre-patch.
They want me to pay to put on clothes that I paid for, and store them in armoury slots that I pay for, onto characters in character slots that I paid for, with a race choice that I paid for, to play expansions they try to fool me to pay twice for and ride a mount that costs me 6 months wages.
I played it from Beta and I ran my own busy guild. Yea, I still love it - but it doesn't love me - it exploits me.
Great video. I've been a little hard on you in the past about not everyone being a top player, and being able to do the rotation. I've been playing Elder Scrolls games since they came out. I'm talking about Arena and Daggerfall first. I was in my 20's when I first started playing games, now I'm in my sixties, and I still love games. My arthritis in my hands won't let me move or reach on the keyboard like I used to. Thanks for catering to the average and the old. Now I feel bad that my team beat your team 49 to 14 even though my team sucks. Your team shouldn't have left the Big 12.
Good to see you still making videos!
Bugthesda: "If you guy's have time to have fun then you have time to spend more money on crowns".
“They’re coming for your fun” was hilarious
Thanks much for this video, Deltia. I'm heading to your website to make a one bar build for my warden!
Thank you for this Deltia!
LOL the #1 spot commentary. Thanks for the guides!
I found that putting Noble Duelist on works well too if you’re missing some of the pieces from the other sets. Sure, you have to be within melee range, but they’re going to be in your face most of the time if you’re solo anyways. But great video!
Great job and entertaining. Thanks as always
That one bar Ice Warden Oakensoul build with heavy attacks is bananas!!
@@xboxgamerz22 The Frostbite stuff with a Mother's Sorrow Ice Staff + jewelry pieces. Frostbite gives you extra damage to your ice abilities. I don't have the Bear Guardian as my ultimate but rather Ice Comet from the Mages Guild skill tree.
@@QuixoticUkulele I almost using same items until I switch sorrow to order wrath to increase critical and using all light armor but only problem I having is what is best only ice skills to use and some ice skills need buff.
@@QuixoticUkulele so then what is better?
Orders wrath paired with oakensoul and mothers sorrow? Or frostbite paired with oakensoul and mothers sorrow?
Anyone know the difference in damage output? How about healing, tankiness and sustain?

Thanx.
@@xboxgamerz22 sorry to repeat myself but which gear combo is better?
Orders wrath paired with oakensoul and mothers sorrow? Or frostbite paired with oakensoul and mothers sorrow? Orders wrath or frostbite? Which wins out? I can’t seem to find a clear answer that’s been tested and is definitive.
Anyone know the difference in damage output between those two options? How about healing, tankiness and sustain?
I’m looking for any info that would help clarify things - however general or nuanced it may be.

Good info and good laughs, thx for the video. My main two toons are both Sorcs, one Stam, the other Magicka, but I loath the pet builds and never use them cause they look dumb and get in the way. I did try the one bar build on my Magicka sorc and even without pets it was just too boring. On a Necromancer though I love it! Necro just had to much bar swapping and time management to be fun for me. One bar solves that.
I wish I could like this more than once. Great video!
Just now getting around to watching this. Heard the "where the Templar funeral at" and got real nostalgic. Remember back in the day when you quit ESO because of the Templar nerf and did a legit Templar funeral lol! Been a fan for a LONG time man!
Thanks to you and this groovy build I did what I've been wanting to do for years. "THE FLAWLESS CONQUEROR"!!!!!!! Came close many, many times but with this build it was actually kind of a yawn! No really, maybe kind of??? Anyway, many thanks Deltia!
Good video topic, Deltia
I think you are doing the Nightblade wrong. Set it for melee damage, and Pair Sergeant with Noble Duelist. Only put on Storm Master if you're in a group at or close to the Pen cap. Put on 'Surprise Attack', 'Merciless Resolve', 'Killer's Blade' for exe, Shrewed Offering for heal, or swap with Crippling Grasp or Twisting Path if you have sufficient heals, Barbed trap, and Soul Harvest as your ULT. If you must do ranged, then swap Surprise attack with swallow soul, and run the ranged morph of Blade, i.e. Impale. With the sundered status effect, shit melts fast from HAs.
You can do a Stam version of this as well. Run on Dark Elf, Khajiit or Orc. Keep the lightning staff but run poison glyph, or slotted poisons, put everything into stam pool, run stam pool food, run weapon damage glyphs on jewelry, and stam glyphs on body pieces. It will proc the NB's weapon crit passive more readily.
Thanks, Deltia! Resurrecting my update 35 post-mortem toons!
Great vid!
Man, I haven't watched a Deltia's Gaming video in years and let me just say, you have aged like a fine wine *chef's kiss*
Hey Deltia, thanks for sharing these cool 1 bar oaken builds, you really make me want to come back to the game since ZoS killed my last two characters, maybe my warden has an opportunity now but again it may be just a good fun for a while until ZoS kill these builds too, so not sure if it is worth the time.
As a father of 3 and very limited time to game, I would love to see you rate all the dlc. ESO plus is not worth it for me with the limited time to play. So I buy a new dlc when I'm done with the one I'm playing atm.
That would help allot and I think many others also wandering about the huge amount of dlcs that are in the game that are not very active players :)
So, they've actually made one-bar heavy attack builds fun and effective? Brace for the incoming NERF.
Still ways behind the good players, but it allows people to actually help and fend for themself.
Doubt they'll nerf it when it makes them money when people have to buy High Isle to get oakensoul access.
Calling them fun is a bit of a stretch. I guess if you just like holding left click then have a blast
@@mattyquinn9174 The playstyle might not be the most fun, but the possibilities you get with this kind of build is for many players.
I feel like it may not be nerfed when many double bar builds are still 120k+ so it’s not out performing a double bar set up
I think this may be kept for the sake of the accessibility it provides for may different types of players in pve content
Love your videos always been so helpful for me what would you suggest for a solo build for Sorc ?
Saw this build on another channel a couple days ago and it’s insane getting over 100k even 300k damage with heavy attacks. I literally ONLY play Tank in this game on my DK and now I can actually have fun solo or in a group with good DPS
Thanks for explanation! I search some tier list)
Came for the memes, left with a build. Thanks Deltia from Bellevue!
I'm returning to ESO after a long time. I'm more of an FPS/hack and slash player and have always hated having multiple bars. Will definitely be trying to pick up Oakensoul eventually. I always try to use as little abilities and as many passive effects and pet AI or BFG damage as possible in the games I play.
Put another way, I don't want to think, keep track of timers, buffs, or do super intensive button pressing...I just want to hit things once hard and watch them explode or walk around in a walking sim while AI or auras DPS for me.
Awesome video, great info.
Thanks Deltia, great job as usual 🙂 How big of a impact you see when using Undaunter infiltrator instead of Storm Master?
Undaunted infiltrator would be similar, but a bit worse, because it has only 1 crit bonus and no weapon damage bonus. Slightly higher bonus to HA, but the difference from weapon/spell damage still gives advantage to storm master.
As usual I learn something from you the 'expert' and 'master'.
I run infallible mage plus sargent's on my sorc because of the 5% extra damage in both pvp and pve. I like the extra dmg on arena/dungeon/trial monsters in pve. I like that it's light armor for the extra spell pen and crit chance over medium which cuts your spell pen down to almost zero. I personally use Kra'ghs shoulder light for the one piece extra pen and crit chance. Puts me around 7k spell pen, when you use crystal weapon it buffs crit chance and puts me at 58% crit, and 2 piece bloodthirsty jewelry and oakensoul ring infused spell dmg give me 5k spell dmg. I use wall of elements for mobs, but in pvp or with bosses I use elemental susceptibility which applies ALL status effects including concuss.
Also if you are a sorcerer you have to have power overload. This skill is insane. Can hit 180k damage at dummy. Can melt trashes instantenously. Recharges enough in any content as you needed. I ve been using it from last update and never ceases to be fun.
I already knew you were going to put Necro and Sorc in the top tier.
I love Necros but Sorc is my first love. Been playing on my main Altmer Sorc since day one; way back before One Tamriel.
What's not to love? She's a lightning goddess!
⚡
Same here ! My first toon in ESO was a sorc. Pulled her out when the Oakensoul got nerfed and never looked back.
Just for the "they are coming for your fun" you already get a thumbs up.
Deltia slowly turning into Paul Felder
I play magsorc solo pve cause a good group is crazy hard to find. One question with jewelry traits. I run all 3 bloodthirsty. With all the changes is that good or is there a better way (trying to max dmg, sustain is a non-issue). Had to edit this and say this is one of the best info sources out there has been for a long time. Thanks for all the help.
my current Oakensoul build is sergeants, lightning staff, chest, ring and necklace, slimecraw helmet and the rest is Noble Duelist for a 1 bar petsorc build! It has gotten me threw stuff I couldn't get through before. Although I was told that a few people legit think that the heavy attack builds are for "Disabled Players" not lying!
I play on 300 ping so using a 2 bar build just isn’t possible. Stop worrying about what others think and play how you want. If your build is solid enough to get you through any content available in the game then there’s no need to worry.
Dude that is a legit set up not gonna lie but surprisingly to me this one actually put out more damage because of the medium armor passives
Sergeants, noble, Oakensoul, and 1 pc slimecraw is exactly what I run on my Sorc. Love it. I keep 1 pet for passive dam and as a flex spot if I need more healing or something else. But yes, this is an awesome build. On the Trial dummy Storm Master does better output, but that is forgetting the loss of Pen which the Trial dummy buffs cover. If you try it on the normal dummies without the buffs Noble duelist comes out ahead by quite a bit due to the pen.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I have been. Exploding the heavy attack builds in Cyrodiil all night! I just follow the lightning lines on my screen like a string to my prize, an easy clap. 😂😂😂
@Deltia - thank you so much for the builds - With the PVE Mag Templar - your build guide has Flame Glyph on the Lightning Staff-is that right? Thanks for everything!
I have gotten many dungeon and trial trifectas with these builds. I typically prefer using noble duelist or undaunted unweaver in trial situations as you don’t need a pen set in group to reach pen cap. Undaunted unweaver with crystal weapon as it’s proc and alternating with daedric prey is a scary combination. Sergeants mail and oakensoul always
What is BEST and OPTIMAL to pair with Sergeant? Is it Storm Master or Orders Wrath? And is it medium or light? Max mag enchants?
Ok I see the links! Hot damn blowing off the dust off my SORC
Thinking of doing this with a warewolf build
This is my next "project" in ESO i just about bought the expansion and still need to farm Oakensoul and the transmutes for the 2 sets. Still not sure what build to pick probably for my boy the templar :P i know it sucks Deltia
🔥
Where can I see the loadout for the skills and abilities you used with the dragonknight with this build (assuming same sets of sergeant and storm master with lightening staff)? Thanks!
Delt my man. Oakensorc heavy build is ripping and gripping. Sergeants and storm master both pets soloing vet content with ease. Your right though, with matriarch I’m only popping skills every 10 secs. With twilight I’m using ward as my only defensive tool every six secs. Both versions can do same content. Twilight more damage, matriarch easier damage. Still remember ignition 1.0. Great builds all the way. Always played a version. Thx for all the content. Cheers
Ok, I'm confused. He says oak, storm master and sergeant set then proceeds to mention about the "stacking" buff of sergeant. As everyone should notice based on his equipment screenshot there are only 4 pieces of sergeant set and 5 pieces of storm master. You would not get the stack ability of sergeant set with 4 pieces. Am I missing something here?
Deltia I’m fascinated with this build. For the Sorc and warden would you specify what skills you would run? For Sorc what about Elemental susceptibility? Crushing shock? Drop unstable and hold for punch?
Familiar, twilight tormentor, daedric prey, crit surge, unstable wall, I would use atro as ulti but he had ice comet for some reason
Love my magsorc. Is there a good oakensoul magsorc pvp battleground build though?
Does the damage you gain from storm master make up for what you lose by going with medium? Would staying with light like noble really get less dmg than going with storm master?
The grind for this ring is deserving.
Great video but the gear sets? In what weights? Can we get a deeper dive into your number one? My Sorc has been growing dust as I seem to run every class but my first and main character! So now? Yes you pegged my interest needle! PvP ? How does this fair?
I’m OS bow nightblade. I don’t have time for a heavy attack. Most my targets die in under 10 sec. LA stun from stealth, light attack, toxic barrage and if that doesn’t kill you the throat stab will. Exclude troll tanks. . I generally avoid wardens. Why? They spam non targeting abilities that do insane damage ie whirling blades. Oakensoul works for me but it’s a very low priority for non glass cannon classes. I don’t run it on any other class.
What about CP, food, pots, and mundas if you go the sorc route? Also, all points into mag?
i still enjoy the templar one bar but i don't use heavies at all. still spam jabs cause shards just feels wonky and still do about 45 to 55k dps in vet dungeons so I can't complain XD
nice 👍
2pc maw of the infernal works very well on 1 bar sorc. The daedroth gets the damage bonus from Daedric Prey and you summon it with heavy attacks so a one bar build can potentially have 100% uptime.
@@vorhandklaus Necropotence, Trainee for 4th and 1pc Druid's Braid.
*granted I play it as a healer, not strictly dps so you may want to use something else.
I actually don't mind them tweaking jabs to give a little bit of choice (further tweaks needed imo) but I basically agree with everything else you said on templar. Like, it's so clunky designed and it's so weird because if they hate jabs why wouldn't they hate the beam which is one of the least interactive and synergistic abilities in the game?
Other than that, my favourite HA class is also the two strongest. Both have unique interactions (if you build ice warden HA) which just makes it a bit more exciting. I think the worst-feeling is actually Dragon Knight for me, because it is just more fun to build with a lots of DoTs or stuff like that :D Oh I forgot to add, I also don't really love sorc if you play it with pets. I feel like their DPS abilities don't feel exciting enough, it should actually be changed honestly.
Hi Deltia, do you think that storm master buff is broken? It only procs for short period of time like 5-10 secs contrary its description which is 20 secs.
One question about sorc build. Why flame glyph on weapon is better than lightning one?
On the warden 1 bar parse build, you mentioned having both inner light (with a reference to templar toppling charge ? ) and camouflage hunter being used for the spell critical. Neither is needed as oakensoul provides both crit bonuses and minor berserk as well which is what camo gives. replace these with fletcher flies and bird of prey for the aoe DOT and the speedy movement with bird. Some bosses you need to be highly mobile, so bird works very well here. With these 2 on you get 8% more crit damage due to passive. Having wall and cliff racer, both of which can do off balance is imho not optimal. If you fire off cliff racer right before your heavy attack you set your HA target off balance in a more controlled fashion and trifocus works on the damage you do to the target, unbalanced or not on side targets. I prefer to have artic blast here as you get stuns, heals, AOE damage and chill all in one. my bar is: cliff racer, fletcher, arctic, subterraneous assault and bird. To refine on trials, you can exchange bird for caltrops. Also note: cliff racer will give you more wep/spell damage when hitting one that is off balance. my rotation: sub, cliff racer, HA, cliff racer, HAx2, fletcher, sub, HA x2, cliff racer, HA until sub ready then repeat.
I tried your build. I can get 40k on the dummy and hit for 80k in dungeons. Same equipment with Deltia's build I can hit 51k to 55k. Your forgetting the slotted bonuses to the fighter and mage class. It adds all those passive damages not just what it says for the skill.
DUDE!!!! I've been stuck at 30K MagSorc for over a year, but this build got me 71K+ on my 2nd parse!!!
"They're comin' for your fun!" lol tru...
I have a 32 health and 32 magicka warden build, I’m wondering if this would be better than a 64 health or 64 magicka warden because I choose half bars so I can do well in both PvE and PvP
Question IV been running sorc sence I started the game an wouldn't orders wrath be better then storm master for the sorc heavy hit bc it has more crit ?
What's the best race for this build with a sorc pls ?
Spear might out perform jabs but on a stam spec I can't sustain it
I actually think nb works great. I do use noble 5piece and storm master 5 piece w slime. So I'm 6 light 1 med. I can get a heavy to hit in the 90s and launch a merciless resolve for another 60k. In groups concealed weapon let's me control off balance and you get 10% damage w it. Also reapers mark I use when a heavy ends and I get an instant heal for around 44k and major berserk for 5 seconds on trash fights. Soul siphon in-between heavies for heals. Have around 60% crit as well without minor savergy. Its pretty nice. I soloed nBRP on it with ease.
Głos jak koza ;)
Dude, my little sisters just got into the game and can keep up with me using the one bar sorcs. Sure, I can parse out 115k+ with my 2 bar magdk, but they can do 80-90k which is incredible for only a month of playing. I think these builds are perfect for that. The ceiling is low but the accessibility is high.
If they want to catch up to the kind of dps I'm doing they'll have to get into light attack weaving and grinding out some other sets. This build will help them grind those sets while giving them the confidence that they can be successful. I really hope they don't nerf these builds.
Anytime I’ve played an oakensoul build, especially heavy attack, I’ve seen very noticeable hate and bias against it from pugs
1 bar build with the maelstrom greatsword stampede with unleash terror set makes 1 attack 3 dots, leaves plenty of room for other attacks
think a Oakensoul one bar heavy attack build for werewolf could work?
One bar builds actually got some of my friends into the game cause its easier to understand. So now I have little minions I tank trials for🤣
How can you run thief stone on sorc with storm master? You have like 1600 pen max
Thank you for your awesome video and perfect timing. I am currently using this build with Order's Wrath and Sargent's but having trouble deciding between Storm Master and Infallible Mage to replace Order's Wrath. Any feed back on this would be appreciated because I am terrible on the math of which would be better between Storm or Infallible or any other options? Also, is there a one bar option without pets or are pets a must for this level of DPS?
I've tested pretty much every heavy attack combination. Storm masters and sergants mail do the most damage in content and on parce dummies by roughly 9% its because of the medium armor passives. It also makes you more tanky in solo content like vma and vvh.
@@ccb2757 Hi Cody, I was curious if they tried Sunderflame armor due to its damage. The downfall might be the crit chance is less on Sunderflame, but the damage is significantly higher on Sunderflame and can be applied every 10 sec instead of 20..
When you deal damage with a fully-charged Heavy Attack, you deal an additional 7370 Flame Damage over 10 seconds and apply Minor Breach to the enemy, reducing their Physical and Spell Resistance.
What do you think?
I'm running a warden but still prefer ice staff over lightning. I also run frostbite as one of my sets, which boosts all frost damage by another 8%. Loving it so far.
I have a magical ice warden Oakensoul build. Very fun and tanky even though he’s DPS. Currently my only gear is frost bite and Oakensoul. Not sure how to go forward on what gear is good after frost bite and oakensoul
@nothinghereligma3363 my new setup has been oakensoul, 5 ice furnace, maelstrom ice staff, and ice heart monster set. Pretty good damage but I tank with it.
@@chrissnider9555 isn’t frostbite the meta for ice wardens? Why ice furnace over frost bite? On my Oakensoul necro I use a monster set and a set gear. But for my ice warden I want to get winterborn or ice furnace as I don’t think I need a monster helmet.
@nothinghereligma3363 frostbite is good to a point, but in general you'll be more effective adding procs and additional damage sources over adding a percentage to your existing damage sources.
Frostbite is a good budget set, but at best it only adds 14% damage to frost abilities and 6% damage to non frost abilities. The benefit for non frost is negligible.
Typically a frost oakensoul warden will be running winters revenge, wall of frost, Arctic blast, and possibly frost reach/clench, and depending on your setup you may or may not run a frost based ultimate.
With 5 ice furnace, you apply burning and deal aoe fire damage every time you deal frost damage, up to once per second. Frostfire (the proc) typically hits for about 3500 average damage on my warden, so an average increase of 3500 dps from that set and another 2500~ dps from the burning status effect it applies. In order to match that with frostbite, I'd have to be doing at least 43k dps with frost abilities alone.
Between iceheart, maelstrom frost staff. Wall of frost, winters revenge, and Arctic blast you're typically at around 30-35k, so an extra 14% from frostbite would only lend about 4500 dps; about 1500 less than I get with iceheart.
Primarily though, I started using iceheart over frostbite because in endless archive you get massive boosts to status effect damage, and adding a way to consistently proc burning as well as chilled ends up being the most powerful option.
"They are coming for your fun" never has a truer sentence been said
What about oakensoul pve werewolf? Is it good?
i started eso with templar okensoul. i stopped playing the game after update 35. can i come back now ? is templer one bar heavy attack any good ?
Noob question, but how do you get the 5 piece bonus if you run only 4 Sergant? I’ve seen this in other builds as well. Is it some sort of cheese? Thank you
why did you go Dark elf over High elf or breton as sorc ?
I made a 2-pet oakensoul sorc and hit 78k dps with no mag pots. I still hit harder with my DK using the weaving, but it’s nice to dust off the sorc once in a while.
is there a video for a stam warden oakensoul (or any stam oakensoul?) dps/breton
I don’t have a stamina warden but when I did I used stalk for the major breach, fletcher bugs, arrow spray, and the bow ground aoe. But never had Oakensoul at the time but now that I do those are the skills I’m going to use.
How do you get the bonus from the sergeants if you only have 4 piece's of the set?
Lightning staff counts for 2 pieces. If you can't hold a shield with a weapon it always counts as 2.
Do one bar builds for PvP big dog 💪
Good video but i wish you would of implamented some pvp builds in this list instead of just making it pve focused
A quick note. Oakensorc let’s me concentrate on mechanics over rotation. It’s made all the difference for solo play. Can’t pug a vet pledge, now I solo it without fear. Cheers.
