I'm really concerned about merciless charge and stampede being less powerful than wall of fire. I can't understand why they nerfed merciless charge. I mean a more solo target skill being less powerfull than a ranged aoe really baffles me. We've been using bows and staffs for so many years on backbar, the moment 2H backbar is being good, they nerf it. I'm speechless
Stampede is also amazing on the backbar with it's guaranteed crit strike to proc Briarheart, stacked with the usual infused + weapon damage glyph. My entire 2H/2H favorite build with Stampede + Briarheart backbar + Titanic Cleave front bar has been completely nerfed into Oblivion by ZoS for no reason whatsoever.
I mean they did stampede dirty anyway, not only did they nerf it from 15 ticks to 10 ticks, they also gutted it's damage by 33%. Then you add on the slap to merciless charge and you've put it back where it was where no one uses it.. but at least endless hail increased it's damage. So staff/bow bb meta is back baby.. sigh.
So... we know what happens next. We see a mass uptick in Nightblade characters created, because it's the least sucky of a bunch of sucky options, and then after all of those people have sunk dozens or hundreds of hours into getting everything set up to their satisfaction, they will nerf Nightblade again. Even if they nerf Surprise Attack before the patch goes live, it probably still won't prevent the Nightblade from looking like a good option to a lot of people and so all this will likely still happen: they'll just nerf it even more. And don't worry, they'll probably get around to nerfing all those gear procs, too. Don't be surprised if they end up nerfing Wall of Elements, too, with the usual "to keep it in line with...", blah, blah, blah explanation.
@@Alcasthq Trust me, I won't. Have already unsubbed & uninstalled the game. So they will have to have a major change of direction to make me have a change of heart :)
They don't even need to buff NBs. All it takes is PTS changes and people have new "ammunition" to complain & demand nerfs on Live server lol. NB is unfortunately associated with being "OP" in PvP. It does not matter what patch it is or what meta is or whenever NBs are in S tier, A tier, B tier or C tier. Some one with 20K HP dies to a NB and poof - a nerf thread is on forums.
@@Tommy_The_Gun NB are still burst king. But they obviously needed this buff. 107k. Not insane at all. DK and necro still hitting 110k dps so 107 isn't "buff"
When will these changes hit the live server? I'm trying to teach a newbie a damage rotation, but looking at this, I'm thinking I shouldn't waste my time and tell him to wait for next patch.
Well if you compare the easier rotation at 103k dps and the harder rotation at 107 kinda sounds like Zos achieved narrowing the gap hmm maybe I was wrong about this update?
Keep in mind this is 1 class, and only beacuse they overbuffed suprise attack. Literally every other class is on like 6-7 dot + spammable rotation. And week 3 theyre changing aoe dots to 10 seconds. So good luck juggling 7 different dots with half of them on different duration. Really simplified the gameplay there...
@@gaborfabian3967 You're right, sure. If they won't adjust Corrosive Armor, then they should also leave Guaranteed crit on Surprise Attack XD 🤣. If one class can have a broken ability, then every other class should also be allowed do have "something" cool 🤣😇 But with all seriousness, I think ZOS kinda cornered themselves by buffing Concealed Weapon (the other morph). Take that guaranteed crit thing off Surprise Attack, and everyone will run Concealed Weapon next patch. I mean, it is not like Veiled Strike needed a buff in a 1st place. This is very good spamable and it could got away without any buffs (they should buff Consuming Darkness instead if you would ask me). But since they buffed Concealed Weapon, all of the sudden it has more effects than Surprise Attack, so they buffed that too. Why they added guaranteed crit though is something idk lol. Also, tbh. When I look at both morphs of Veiled Strike on PTS... I am having hard time deciding what would I chose on Live server (and this is how it should be - there should be no "obvious winners"). I mean, you can still get guaranteed crit with Concealed Weapon if you use cloak. You also get unique 300 weapon / spell dmg buff for 15 seconds. So, a question to all hardcore PvE-ers: Is it a valid option to use Veiled Strike and cloak in a rotation every 15 seconds, to get extra DMG buff (that is unique and stacks with other things, like minor / major courage) ?
Ok 15 k on a 107k dps parse is “op”? Tell me what jabs is doing on a 110k parse currently on the pts, oh and it is an aoe on top of it but single target 15k is op. Love you and your content but sometimes I really think you miss the whole picture
