Thanks for the info! I just painted a board that had some texture to the surface, I bet this would have helped - it had some bleed from the stencil. I'll try again with your tip! Plus the make up sponge was a great idea!
What if I wanted to keep the wood natural. I want to darken the wood with stain first then use white paint over the stencil Do you think using stain as the base coat will be okay?
