    Jennifer, please take this comment as a GREAT THING!! You’re voice is so soothing to my stress migraines that on bad days I put on my headphones, snuggle up under a fuzzy crocheted blanket (my personal craft) and pillow, and watch any one of your presentations. Now I just may fall asleep during them, but I wake up feeling SO much better, and believe it or not, remember how to do the lesson I had picked to soothe my migraine in the first place!!! 🤯🤯🤣🤣💗. Thank you so much and Happy Valentine’s day!

    Hi Jennifer! I am writing back to let anyone else know, who may still be using an older Cricut machine (I converted my Cricut Cake [Expression] to a crafting machine.) that you CAN cut vinyl with the Deep Cut Blade and in the Deep Cut Housing (blue housing). I used some Oramask 813 stencil vinyl and it did a beautiful job! And, most importantly, my settings were: "medium" pressure (3 bars on Cricut), "medium" speed (also 3 bars on Cricut) and I set the blade depth on the housing to "3". Anyway, just wanted to share! Thank you again for all of your tips, tricks, inspiration and for your willingness to be so generous with sharing your expertise!!

    I’m new to Cricut and stenciling and hit a problem but thanks to your video it’s solved. I live in a little area in Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦 with only one craft store and with Covid-19 not all products are available all the time and mail slower than normal. I tried using a heavier stencil (one recommended) but found it bubbles. I had the premium vinyl at home so checked everywhere on UA-cam and else till yeah I discovered your video. All I can say is thank you so much my projects have been able to be completed. Thanks so so much 👌🏻

    The dollar store sells those small wood plaques for just two bucks. I bought four of them and they work great for this project. I didn’t sand or stain prior to and my paint bleed a little, I didn’t know about using an adhesive or mod podge to block paint for bleeding, wish I knew beforehand, but lesson learned!!

    Hi Jennifer! I have a large vinyl stencil, wooden sign that was gifted to me last Christmas. The sign is similar to your Welcome sign on the video above. The sign is placed outside my front door and unfortunately the letters are starting to peel off - I love the sign and don’t want to throw it away, can you recommend what type of glue I can use to seal it back in place? Any recommendations or instructions would be greatly appreciated!

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  4 місяці тому

      It sounds like you have a lovely sign that you want to preserve. Based on the context provided, I recommend using a hot glue gun with glue sticks to seal the letters back in place. Make sure to use finger protectors to prevent accidental burns. Additionally, you might want to clean the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any dust or dirt before reapplying the letters. This will help ensure a better bond.

Quick question please: I’m stenciling some thick birch plywood... using a clear glossy base coat, then the black stenciled design, then a clear glossy top coat. In this case would you suggest “Gloss Mod Podge” or still recommend the “Matt Mod Podge?” Thank you kindly. Nickolas (Australia)

      I would use the matte on the bottom but you can use the gloss as a top coat.

    Is there any way to reuse the same vinyl stencil or do you have to make a new one each time? Is there any other material you can use in the Cricut to make a reusable stencil? I love these!

      These cannot be reused but I do have a tutorial on a reusable stencil. 💜 jennifermaker.com/reusable-stencil-with-cricut/

    Do you always use permanent vinyl for stencils? And when would you use a non permanent vinyl? Just wondering about the difference between the 2 applications. I'm a total newbie! Thanks for all your help. Love your channel😊.

      Not always...you can always use what you prefer. The reason why I used permanent vinyl for this was because it's less likely to have the paint bleed under the stencil. :)

    Hi Jennifer, I love your video. It's great for beginners like me. I have what might be a silly question, but do you use permanent or removable vinyl? Thanks.

    Love the matte mod podge technique for bleeding. Thank u. Wish I had learned this before making my porch sign using stencils last week.

    Is using the cricut stencil vinyl any different than just plain vinyl? Do I still need to mod podge it before painting? I have a cricut air explore. Do I need to use a different blade other than the fine-point blade? thank you for making these tutorials. I love them! I have even turned my future daughter-in-law on to you and your tutorials!

      You will still treat your surface before you apply the stencil. We happen to prefer the permanent vinyl for stencils but feel free to try your own technique. Thanks for watching!😊🌻

    Hi Jennifer, Thank you for the video! Can you use the mod podge to seal the paint or is it better to use the spray poly?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  2 роки тому

      It does not need to be sealed. It is optional. jennifermaker.com/vinyl-stencils-painted-wood-signs/

    Would you use acrylic paint as well for painting the sign (not just the letters but say half the sign stained and half painted) or would leftover house paint work for that? Then use acrylic for the stencil part?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  4 роки тому

      That would be a different technique if you are painting the sign. For painting the sign, I would use stencil vinyl and apply several thin coats of spray paint for the letters.
