I just love your videos. You always get straight to the project. I hate hearing stories for 10 minutes before the actual project starts lol. You and your videos are awesome!!! I hope to be as great at crafting as you are❤
Awww, thank you for your kind words, Jessica! I am not always great at crafting, but am able to edit out all my mistakes!!! 😂 I hope you have fun while doing it - that is the most important thing of all! 😍
I have been looking for videos like yours forever to help me with my cricut machine. I have asked a lady I know she just told me to u tube it to learn how. Well thank goodness I have found you , love the way you go through on how to do svg files and the details. Im so great full to have found you. Truly blessed
Jennifer is just amazing, I completely agree with other people that she just gets into the projects straightaway and mention each of the details clearly for beginners like me. Thank you so much. I have watched few of your other videos but this one made me fall in love with you. Thank you so much :)
I searched absolutely everywhere for information on how to make a stencil. I was told to do in two parts but wouldn't do it because I knew there would be a way to do it in one. And your video has shown me the correct way to do it. Thank you so much for your videos. They really are a God send :)
Hi Jennifer! I am writing back to let anyone else know, who may still be using an older Cricut machine (I converted my Cricut Cake [Expression] to a crafting machine.) that you CAN cut vinyl with the Deep Cut Blade and in the Deep Cut Housing (blue housing). I used some Oramask 813 stencil vinyl and it did a beautiful job! And, most importantly, my settings were: "medium" pressure (3 bars on Cricut), "medium" speed (also 3 bars on Cricut) and I set the blade depth on the housing to "3". Anyway, just wanted to share! Thank you again for all of your tips, tricks, inspiration and for your willingness to be so generous with sharing your expertise!!
Jennifer, please take this comment as a GREAT THING!! You’re voice is so soothing to my stress migraines that on bad days I put on my headphones, snuggle up under a fuzzy crocheted blanket (my personal craft) and pillow, and watch any one of your presentations. Now I just may fall asleep during them, but I wake up feeling SO much better, and believe it or not, remember how to do the lesson I had picked to soothe my migraine in the first place!!! 🤯🤯🤣🤣💗. Thank you so much and Happy Valentine’s day!
I’m new to Cricut and stenciling and hit a problem but thanks to your video it’s solved. I live in a little area in Nova Scotia Canada 🇨🇦 with only one craft store and with Covid-19 not all products are available all the time and mail slower than normal. I tried using a heavier stencil (one recommended) but found it bubbles. I had the premium vinyl at home so checked everywhere on UA-cam and else till yeah I discovered your video. All I can say is thank you so much my projects have been able to be completed. Thanks so so much 👌🏻
The dollar store sells those small wood plaques for just two bucks. I bought four of them and they work great for this project. I didn’t sand or stain prior to and my paint bleed a little, I didn’t know about using an adhesive or mod podge to block paint for bleeding, wish I knew beforehand, but lesson learned!! Thanks for sharing Jen! Your videos are to the point, easy to understand and simple. Hugs to you my friend.
I just received a Cricut for my birthday. I love watching your videos because I now know how to use it. Thank you for teaching me something new every day.
My granddaughter was a feisty baby who fussed quite a bit and when she was 13 month old for Christmas, I got her a T-shirt that said, "Dear Santa, Define Naughty". We took a photo of her looking so impish wearing it.
I love your videos. I was always taught not to let ur paint dry completely when stenciling it makes it easier to get the stencils off without having to gouge them
Your videos are amazing. I work at a popular craft store. When cricut newbies come in asking questions, I always direct them to you. Thanks for making this easy.
Thank you for this video tutorial. I had some old barn wood and was so frustrated trying to get the vinyl to stick. Your video was such a help and the project came out great! ❤
Jennifer, thank you for this video, and the files. Total newbie here and just excited learning what my cricut can do. If you ever wonder about you videos helping people, wonder no more.
This is one of the main reasons I want to invest into a Cricut or something similar. I would love to do cool designs like this on wood! Thanks for the tutorial.
Great tips, thanks. I think the box will help with alignment, similar to a weeding box for vinyl decals. I love the Mod Podge tip too...I'm eternally grateful for the tips x
FABULOUS tutorial!!! ALL your tutorials are amazing & inspiring- Can wait to customize my son’s new kitchen butcher block top island❤️❤️❤️❤️ THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR BEING SUCH A WONDERFUL TUTORIAL HOST❤️❤️❤️
Great informative video. Wish I had found you sooner. I've had so many project ideas roaming around in my mind. Because of you I can finally unload them. Thanks for providing so much detail.
I love this idea! And, the Cricut Maker was not needed. This is also a good way to use some of my scrap premium vinyl pieces or colors that are just not my liking from prior projects.. Definitely on my homemade gifting list for 2020! Thank you!
This is of great help, I wasn’t sure you could use premium vinyl to make stencils. I’m new to this so I purchased stencil vinyl to make my stencil. I will make sure to try this method with the vinyl. Also, the mod podge tip is soooo needed! I had minor bleeding on a wooden sign this would have been right on time. Thank you so much!😊
I enjoy and learn from all of your videos. I would like to know whether you prefer this stencil method or using heat transfer vinyl for making wood signs.
Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I've tried so many different techniques to paint my wooden signs including the modern podge and still had bleeding. But I never thought to put the mod podge after I put the stencil on. So thank you very much

Wonderful tip about the modpodge! Thank you!
Glad to help out! Thank you for watching! :)
@@JenniferMaker Is the Mod Podge only recommended for wood? Or would it be useful on plastics too?
Mod podge is totally the key. I learned that a long time ago and never paint without it!!
Mod Podge is definitely a game changer! :)
My adventure with the tree began with projects from WoodPrix plans.
Love it!
