I live in the burbs of Philly, PA. Needless to say I’m seriously eyeing OK. PHILLY FACTS: Minimum 1 shooting per day, homes randomly blow up or collapse & rape kits from 18 years ago are still waiting to be processed. Property crimes, flash mob robberies & shoplifting aren’t even pursued or prosecuted anymore. It’s absolutely insane. We grease the street poles to keep “fans” from climbing them (win or lose) after a sporting event.
Back in the 60s, a popular radio personality Paul Harvey, said if you want to commit murder and get away with it, go to Lawton, Oklahoma.
Especially if you work for the police department
Another list I saw was TOP 5 towns with crime in Oklahoma Shawnee, Tulsa, Del City, Muskogee, OKC. You would think living with the largest prison in the state a prison that has been in at least 1-2 movies and documentaries would keep the crime down
Great info. Thx Stephen!
Hey!! Thanks for watching Ian 😄 Also thanks for being in the video ❤️
Keeping my eye on Broken arrow, and jenks.
I might relocate this year and rent for a solid year, just to see if I like it. If I do, I'll buy a home once my lease is up
They just had a murder suicide last week.. rethink it
I am fortunate as I live outside OKC but still within the city limits but 6 miles from the nearest Walmart and 3 miles before I am outside the city limits … but Ive never felt unsafe in the city and I’ve traveled to poorer parts of the city but not at NIGHT! I cant see at night…the Lord protects me… I bought my dog in Okmulgee… it’s on an Indian reservation…and Tulsa is also on a reservation. ..most of Oklahoma are Indian reservations..most dangerous place to live in OK is Muskogee … ridiculous. ..the cops need to clean that $hit up.
I hate the climate too.
Why Lawton isn't on the list is beyond me lol
Right
Great question! Thanks for watching and the comment.
I know Lawton's bad but I hope it changes
Can I get a Amen!!!
I stay out in Lawton and it's still sus.
thanks for the advise, i am moving there to stillwater ok in oct
Nice!! Love Stillwater. You going for OSU?
Lived in Muskogee for one year because I had to for school. I would not live there for love nor money. Very rough for its size. Other places I stay clear of are North Tulsa (for sure), Southeast OKC areas, and Lawton. That being said, the other places I've lived in Oklahoma have been great. When it comes down to it, Oklahoma is very safe compared to most other states.
Dame my beloved Ardmore can't catch a break
Yeah neither can Tulsa haha Thanks for watching!
I don’t think okla that dangerous 🤣😂🤣
Nah it's not compared to Chicago or Camden NJ....
Omg.... the clippers lol
Yeah my wife said that was a little over board lol Thanks for watching!!
My wife and I are thinking about moving to fort supply OK, home's are very cheap, 20 miles from Woodward, do you know what the unemployment rate is?
I don't sorry... I try to stay around the Tulsa area with specific numbers. Thank you for watching!
It’s nt dangerous 🤣😅😂in Oklahoma kids do down Okc at night and the fair in Okc 🤣😂🤣 🤣😂🤣
@@loralarose9615 yeah it's only dangerous if your a pussy I love my state ❤
My husband and I are looking at Ratliff City. I see Velma and Lawton are really violent, but I can't find information on Ratliff specifically. Any info I find is based on Velma and Lawton because the FBI has nothing in their database on Ratliff City. Looking at the town on Google earth shows a small sprawled out town with low population. That suggests it's safe, but that's a guess. Do you have any real info on it? Would this be a good place for retirees?
Ratliff City, don't blink when you drive through it you will miss it. Velma i looked at housing there and not a terrible place, between two crime filled towns of Ardmore and Lawton, i thought far enough away from either to avoid any violent crimes.
Lawton is a hell to live next to
I lived there and played there for years. I’ve always enjoyed Lawton.
Midwest city has issues
you should have turley and north and south and east and west tulsa as your top 5
Why not Lawton ?
Tulsa is high crime too. They are always on The first 48
I lived in Tulsa but now stigler it a small town
I live in Idabel Oklahoma and it’s not as bad as everybody says it is.
On the west side it is go to the cliff and fund out I lived there for 18 years and saw a lot of terrible thing and hate to say it done some bad things as a young teen there I saw a man get his jaw broken by a golf club for 5 bucks of meth when I was 7 but yeah it's not that bad
There are not TEN CITIES in Okra-Homer!!! There are two and a half MAYBE. OKC and Tulsa have more population than the REST OF THE ENTIRE STATE according to the 2020 US CENSUS. How can there be eight other cities based on that??? Edmond is the "half-city" less than 20 miles from OKC. Muskogee is the "magically shrinking town", as well as Lawton. Norman is literally a few FEET from OKC.
Did you bother to do research on Anadarko? Its 2nd highest for domestic violence which most of goes unreported. Most crime in general goes unreported. Anytime I have brought people around the town onto the residential streets they are shocked. You will see more people wandering the streets and it's not for a "stroll". Usually drug related. More homeless people and alcoholics sitting by the liquor store or gas station than even Shawnee, Ponca City and any other town I have lived in or been to. Dope houses are rampant many of them have been there since I can remember. I knew a little kid who already burned down three abandoned houses. Watched him feed a cat to some pit bulls that had just had kittens 😅 Which seems to kinda be normal. Should also take in to account that the city records and Tribal records are usually kept separate. Most of the land surrounding Anadarko and parts of the inner town are under tribal jurisdiction so many crimes aren't placed under the towns crime records. Most of Anadarko is part or more Native American and as A Native I seen just as much things happen as I did in town on a casual day. With violence being so normal though a lot of the crimes go unreported. The town looks like your typical town whenever your just passing straight through. However once you take a detour on the residential blocks what you will see will almost remind you of the movie The Interview. Almost like the city purposely keeps that main roads nice but takes no effort to actually make it better for the people who live there.
Dang had no idea! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment to inform others. 🙏
Lol that’s what I was thinking I used to run around dodge
You didn’t do any western or southwest cities
Violent, not Voilent
Idk how Lawton didt make the list
Enid Oklahoma has been pretty bad as well
He forgot WE GOT METHEADS
It was a good place and not to worry about the time and place. But in the last few years it has become like the rest of the country
All eastern Oklahoma towns lol what about Seminole or wewoka
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏾♀️Muskogee ranked #1dangerous
Okc if u mind yo business it's fine I been there 10 years now.. I've also been in some shit. I also wasn't minded my business.. I'm from California... same shit.
That's one city tf
Thanks for watching and the comment!
Lol Midwest city is a mess
❤
wonder how many of the property crimes are meth related
