Really? Those are the bad places in Oklahoma City? The yards were clean, lawns mowed, and the houses looked in good condition. In fact, there were some beautiful looking old Craftsman style homes there. I saw parks, schools that looked just fine. If I had too move to that city I wouldn't mind. East Cleveland wishes they had more neighborhoods like this!
Apparently he doesn’t know OKC very well because areas around the state capital are some of the hottest areas for refurbishment, flip houses. Prices have skyrocketed in the past 2-3 years.
a lot of the houses in that area are overran by homeless crackheads soo many houses right through there have been burning down from “homeless people” (might be the city doing it to get rid of these places so new people can come in and build) the area is highly sought after you’ll see a road with crazy huge nice mansions then the road over is crackhead rd lol
Ok, those municipal buildings look dated, around 1960's architecture, but not run down, like in Detroit...also, that cathedral ? Again, Nick where are these run down neighbourhoods ? Let's see you engage some folks whom live there on camera and see what they have to say about the stats on their own neighbourhoods ?

Well, I said he showed The Capital and that's pretty crooked. 😂 But sadly, no. Oklahoma City and it's smaller suburbs have plenty of crime, unfortunately.
This looks like it was filmed last Winter. All of the trees are bare. Also, notice how many of the trees were mangled and severely damaged by last October's ice storm! Really, OKC looks just like Amarillo.
Good choice picking the state capitol area, I know that area very well. Next time you in my area I should you some places that you don't miss with at night
It isn't. He needs to go around 44th st between High and Shields. My boyfriend had an apartment around there for a while he actually purchased a firearm before moving there in case he needed it. He didn't even want to have any of his friends over there the whole year he lived there. He never even had me over there. Ironic thing is he lives over there near the area that is shown in the video and feels much safer and more comfortable having me and other friends over.

When was this taken? It says one day ago, but no leaves are on the trees, looks better from the October ice storm that broke all the trees down, My yard is still horrible, I'm old and can't clean it that fast any more, it will take me years to get it back to what it once was, but thanks for showing Oklahoma. :)
the 'ice ,tree busting storm last winter took the n side trees too. if you look in the tops of the trees you can see branches broken downward. every house in the sw where i am lost up to 100ft of tree tops... and the best part of your bad areas was the stars and stripes.

Of course the video opens with the East Side... also my neighborhood is in this video about 8 minutes in so I had no clue that I live in the worst area. Rarely does anything crazy happen and I feel safe walking at any hour of the day or night. And the housing is going up to ridiculous amounts to pander to the trust fund hipsters and yuppies that have been moving in from other states.
Doesn't every town have an old area? Isn't there poverty everywhere? On the inside, some of these homes are just gorgeous, with beautiful woodwork. every town has a mixed bag. But having lived in OKC since age 12, I can tell you there are much worse neighborhoods. And some of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen are in OKC.....to rival Beverly Hills.
I've lived in Yukon for one year which is a little bit west of OKC. No place is perfect though. There's always crime and poverty in big cities but OKC isn't that bad. I did miss driving through there and eating at Braums😃
Actually OKC is very safe, this is nothing compared to detroit, cleveland, chicago. All them houses and areas you showed is so clean, so nice and fresh and on a beautiful day! OKC might be uneducated people, but they are great people and it is a beautiful state!
As someone who lived in OKC and Edmond for 17 years (I even lived literally around the corner from that awesome big grey stone church/cathedral at 7:23 for a couple of years...I even played pickup basketball in the church's parking lot - me lilly white and the neighborhood guys I played with black) , these are NOT The "worst areas" of OKC...but there aren't many really bad areas compared to most large cities.
I grew up on this side of town. My whole family is from here. These neighborhoods were all white 70 years ago and then black people moved in so the whites moved out and that was about the last time anyone cared to put money into the neighborhoods . Even then, they aren’t bad homes the people are great and the schools are all black. We don’t have a grocery store over there anymore but it sucks to say it’s the worst neighborhoods. Go to the south side of the city and compare.
Compared to the SE side of Fort Wayne or west side of Anderson (both cities in Indiana), this looks fairly tame. The east side of Indy (and near west side Haughville) is even worse.
I seen nice enough neighborhoods. I never seen anything bad at all. Everything was clean . Looked like average middle class folk area to me. Nothing wrong.

Grew up in the area he drove through. It really isn't bad. It's just low-income housing. I still have quite a bit of family out that way. I love visiting.
From what I have seen so far, I want to move to OKC. It looks upper-class compared to what I see every day!
He didn't even show the actual worst parts of OKC, but if you think these places look nice then go check out some neighborhoods south of 104th along S May or S Penn on Street View.
Pretty sure you drove by what used to be a BBQ joint where, if you ordered a "half order," the proprietor would say, "If y'only gat a half order, y'only gonna get half full!" Quite the character, that guy! That was decades ago, and I heard he passed since then.
From an obesity related illness?
Just kidding
you dont need teeth to eat Lewis' Beef
You drove through the Paseo district which is pretty popular for the restaurants, some really nice ones actually and how walkable the area is. There's actually some upscale places to eat. And you were mere blocks from Oklahoma city's oldest very affluent neighborhood. You did drive around some of the north east side which is a poorer area as well as near the state capital which has some very nice old two story homes that you would have to be earning a pretty good salary to afford to live there. Where are you from? I've lived here my entire life and I know where the poorest, with a higher crime rate neighborhood truly are. Guess I should make my own video.
I'm genuinely sad that mappy didn't make one appearence
Mappy has the Covid, doing fine, though.

I love hearing you laugh in the background when you’re turning at the beginning. You’re trying so hard not to be loud it reminds me of try not to laugh in church when I was younger.😎
I saw another UA-camr post a video of them driving through rough areas of LA at night. Nick do you have what it takes to do that? Take your channel to the next level 😂
I've lived in OKC my whole life and trust me he did not go anywhere close to the bad areas of town. Show areas like "murder one" which was named by the cops or Southside where Southside Loco and MS 13 have drive bys all the time. Hell I have 3 well known drug/gang houses across the street from me. But I still love OK and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
There are not drive by all the time on the Southside. It's a little rough north of 240, but not that bad
You know dang well gang s ain’t out there in the streets like that. There but go to jail .
Was waiting for you to get to the worst part but you didn’t go there :( this is just northside
Makes me want to move there.
No thanks, we have all the people we need here!
Long you we repub why it’s not a dump
I just saw some pics of Kensington, Philadelphia. Holy crap! It looked like zombies shuffling across a warzone!
NICK I TRULY WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT THAT YOU PUT INTO MAKING THESE VIDEOS. I AM ALSO GLAD THAT YOU VISIT IN THE DAY TIME HOURS TO GIVE US GREAT VISIBILITY...BUT ALSO TO STAY SAFE AS WELL. PLEASE STAY SAFE AND VIGILANT. YOU ARE DOING A GREAT THING ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE THAT ARE LOOKING TO MOVE FROM PRESENT SURROUNDINGS TO SHOWING THOSE WHO DO NOT GET TO SEE MUCH OF THIS COUNTRY AND THE SHAPE IT IS TRULY IN. STAY SAFE AND BE BLESSED. I WILL KEEP WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS.
Really? Those are the bad places in Oklahoma City? The yards were clean, lawns mowed, and the houses looked in good condition. In fact, there were some beautiful looking old Craftsman style homes there. I saw parks, schools that looked just fine. If I had too move to that city I wouldn't mind. East Cleveland wishes they had more neighborhoods like this!
looks can be deceiving
@@banditolecheeto yea and there could be serial killers in rich gated communities.. that doesn't really mean a whole lot, lol.
I’ve lived here for nearly 25 years. OKC has had really good leadership overall. The city has been on an upward trajectory for a long time. Proud!!
Looks like there's been an ice storm..... Many of the trees are broken
Yep
Lived in OKC my whole life. This " worst part of okc" just looks like any place in San Antonio or any part of Los Angeles when i visited there in 2006 and 2017 respectively.
hello, What are some good places in OKC. I am thinking about the move. NO TORNADOES. Bro Just need a spot for my motorcycles. in healthcare
Are you trying to say there's nothing wrong with Oklahoma City
Well, I said he showed The Capital and that's pretty crooked. 😂 But sadly, no. Oklahoma City and it's smaller suburbs have plenty of crime, unfortunately.
he should’ve turned left on 23rd if he wanted to see the actual bad part 😂
This for real!
Specially near Kelly and Lotte lol
This looks like it was filmed last Winter. All of the trees are bare. Also, notice how many of the trees were mangled and severely damaged by last October's ice storm! Really, OKC looks just like Amarillo.
U can tell it winter no green grass or leaves on trees. And obviously doesn't know bad areas of okc I do!
Good choice picking the state capitol area, I know that area very well. Next time you in my area I should you some places that you don't miss with at night
Sounds fun
I’m not convinced that’s the worst part.
You're right
Yeah, he needs to go to Kerr Village or around SW 30th and portland...
@@LittleWing1985 The South Side and South Eastern Side is dangerous
Hey Nick this neighborhoods aint that bad compare to Chicago or Baltimore
I have lived in oklahoma most of my life and the only really bad place is valleybrook they will ticket you for breathing but everywhere else it's honestly not bad oklahoma is growing slowly but we are getting there. He is also driving through a division which was built 35 to 40 years ago in and near what we call old Town
what is it with oklahoma cops that pull you over for no real reason? are they bored? do they only stop people who wont hurt them? i have be pulled over on i 40 near muldrow and he had no reason, said he wanted to warn me about the construction. now in the southern border of the state, same shit, no real reason. maybe it was the out of state plates. made my wife want to sell the house we just bought there and stay in texas.
@@JP-wn2xc Most cops 9 times out of 10 will stop you because they're bored and because they're trying to be nice
When was this taken? It says one day ago, but no leaves are on the trees, looks better from the October ice storm that broke all the trees down, My yard is still horrible, I'm old and can't clean it that fast any more, it will take me years to get it back to what it once was, but thanks for showing Oklahoma. :)
Still old snow on the ground. Pretty tame ride overall. Let it green up a bit…this must have been feb/mar right after the big freeze.
Doesn't look as bad as Cleveland Ohio. 😂
Whats the difference between clamidia and a condo in Cincinnati? You can get rid of clamidia.
@@everintransit4240 is Cincinnati even that bad tho ?

Technically speaking, Oklahoma seems to be the safest out of the other states that you have visited.
the 'ice ,tree busting storm last winter took the n side trees too. if you look in the tops of the trees you can see branches broken downward. every house in the sw where i am lost up to 100ft of tree tops... and the best part of your bad areas was the stars and stripes.
No commentary?? That's the best part of your videos!

"Worst Neighborhoods of Oklahoma City" are you go to the Paseo Arts District??? Unless 24-year-old coffeehouse hipsters are your biggest fear, you must have never left the gated neighborhood if you think THAT is the worst neighborhood in OKC.
So where are the bad parts? All the houses look well taken care of and the lawns are mowed.
He didn't show them I live in okc
@@anonymous-zb2wy exactly
This isn’t “the worst” part of OKC. Trust me
This was the greatest video trip ever. Keep up the great work. It is a pleasure viewing your channel. This is without a doubt in my mind the best channel on U-Tube ever. I try not to miss a single one I like each one and and subscribed to your channel. No bull, you tell it like it is. You have a channel that America can trust and that’s hard to find now days. Thank you and keep up the excellent job that you do.
Really, the worst? Looks good!
Looks like a nice middle class neighborhood. Come to Tampa or Miami if u want to see real impoverished ghetto areas.
Damn, the video started out on 23rd and Kelly moving East to Lottie. This is where my whole family is from. 13th and Lottie to be exact.
Keep up the too amazing videos
As someone who lived in OKC and Edmond for 17 years (I even lived literally around the corner from that awesome big grey stone church/cathedral at 7:23 for a couple of years...I even played pickup basketball in the church's parking lot - me lilly white and the neighborhood guys I played with black) , these are NOT The "worst areas" of OKC...but there aren't many really bad areas compared to most large cities.
"OKC worst" looks like "Detroit best"
That's because he's not really showing OKC worst, he's just showing OKC oldest
I honestly feel like Nick was LK giving OKC an underhanded compliment with this one. I’d run with it!
Yep, trying to show a "good" conservative town. Notice that there are no smartass flippant comments like most of his vids have.
This is during winter time in oklahoma that is why all the trees look bare.
You need to take a ride through the hidden apartment complex next to dolese park. It used to be called willow cliff not sure what its called now.
It looks like people take good care of their property's, I noticed they have chemtrails there too.
Indeed we do. On both lol
There's a grocery store over there now but it's like the most expensive one in town.
Compared to the SE side of Fort Wayne or west side of Anderson (both cities in Indiana), this looks fairly tame. The east side of Indy (and near west side Haughville) is even worse.
What is so bad about it? Everyone has a decent looking car and it is clean, not run down
Thats because of the vision bill whitch would clean up the city in the 90s OKC was run down
He drove right passed my house on Everest I have live on that street for 13 years born and raised on the Eastside love my city
Nick great video as usual!
Looks way better than most of the other bad cities you've shown us.
I seen nice enough neighborhoods. I never seen anything bad at all. Everything was clean . Looked like average middle class folk area to me. Nothing wrong.
A lot of these areas are more lower class but despite their economic class, a lot of people still take good care of their houses and yards with pride.
Damn I drive through this area often didn't know it was the hood lol, but I'm from Baltimore City big difference.
PEOPLE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THESE VIDEOS BE SHOT DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS. SURROUNDINGS CAN BE MUCH WORSE AT....NIGHT AND ON THE WEEKENDS.
You missed Oak Creek apartments. Grew up around there. 59th and Walker. Lots of SSL back in the day. Sure they are still around.
A new video from Nick?!! It’s going to be a good day!
I think you drove through Mr. Rogers Neighborhood!!!
I would love to see you revisit some states because I want to learn all I can and I enjoy your delivery and no nonsense take. I’m Currently a med student looking to relocate after graduating and I love the amount of research and time you put into your videos. Ironically, this so-called worst area, is only a couple miles from ou medical school and huge hospitals, trauma center, Children's, & medical research companies.
ouhsc/ou med is trash and a half.
I lived in this area for over 15 years...y'all rode right past my old house...this is hardly a bad neighborhood..I moved here from East Cleveland...now that's a BAD neighborhood 😂
Cleveland a real shithole 🤣😂
Damn East cleveland.....Your worse than Camden .....I thought we were the worst in the country but damn
Tbh, having lived just outside of okc my whole life, the place he went looked like the neighborhoods just north of the capital, which are pretty bad. But their not necessarily bad, just REALLY REALLY old
I’m from OKC ain’t nothing bad about these neighborhoods. Very peaceful neighbors and I drive through those streets every day with no worries. Get your facts right! Trying to make my city look bad and you are not from this city, you just passing through.
I moved to OKC from NY , and I had an incident where I had to call the police . He heard my “accent” and said you’re not from here , I said no . I moved away from crime and murders and wanted a lower cost of living , he said it’s crime here too . I started laughing , I told him when does the crime start ? At night it’s so damn hot they must do it at night 🤣🤣🤣 cause no ones hardly outside . You don’t see ppl on any corners harassing you , you don’t see ppl shooting at each other , I told the police officer , just be glad you don’t have to bodybag ppl every week . You don’t know crime sir , I’m sorry .
Yes a lot of crime that gets reported happened in these neighborhoods.
You though did not even go near the bad neighborhoods.
Watched right through and didn't see _even one_ piece of abandoned furniture left on a curb.
Oh you get that here all the time. he just happened to be coming through in a good day.
Seriously this guy didn't even drive over by ne 4th and lottie aremaven valley brook what about down on se 15th between I 35 and central... and those aren't terrible hell the Plaza motel on I 35 is probably the deadliest place in town unless you count the oklahoma county jailhouse
Come on now where are the boarded up houses and drug dealers on the corners
You don't see much of that in Oklahoma... the city is very spread out with huge city blocks. You really can't walk anywhere so you have to have a car.
Being a native of omaha NE and living here in Indianapolis for 6 yrs..this is not bad looking.
It nice and clean
