Awesome! Looks like a great setup for larger game animals here in North America. To big unfortunately for the deer here in Florida..lol 😂😅 Thanks for the unveil 😊
That's a long barrel once you add a suppressor. I have the cross in .308 and a perfect fit once you add a can. Too bad they can't make one with a shorter barrel for us can lovers. Still a badass gun, I'll probably buy one!
I want to know if the new folding stock hinge is more secure (less play) than the one on my 308. Can I swap in the new hinge, and also thumb safety? Id love to have both of those.
One Question for ya, "kicks like a 243". Just curious if that is true. My experience with 300 Win Mag, even with a muzzle break. It's still significant. more than a 243. Just wanted your thoughts on the recoil.
He was definitely paid to say that. It's a 10lbs 300 win mag. That brake isn't nearly enough to reduce recoil to that level. Don't trust guys like this with these guns.
I have shot it with a can, and the break and they can is best. Shot three boxes prone with a substantial jacket and got a pretty nasty black and blue. Lol ….. It’s still a 300 but the suppressor helps tremendously. Ours got real hot and walked right substantially.
@@ElevatedTines you add a scope, rings, suppressor and magazine and ammo, that's almost 2.5 more pounds. My Tikka 300 WSM is maybe 6.5lbs out the box. So it's a hard sell to be buying a 9lb hunting. rifle.
@@ElevatedTines I love my Tikka's. They are fairly inexpensive for how smooth and accurate they are. I have an 18" 300 WSM that shoots 180's at 3000 fps. Only weighs 6.5 lbs bare. Short and handy.
They make mention on the website that the action is long enough for the 300 prc. I’d be willing to bet they’ll sell a barrel or a full rifle in that caliber along with other caliber’s. The 300 win isn’t a bad one to start off with.
300 WM is as good or better than the 300 PRC if you are hand loading. If you only shoot factory then there’s argument for a 300 Prc. Sig is smart in releasing it in 300 WM imho.
Simply because the 300 Win Mag ammo is more plentiful than 300PRC. I’m sure they’ll release a barrel swap for 300 PRC, if an aftermarket barrel mfctr doesn’t already do it first
In reality it means after you add your scope and a bipod, and a suppressor if you have one, you’re looking at 11-12lbs😬 I’m sure it’s a good shooter, but I’ve carried a 10lb rifle up the mountain and it was no fun. Especially worse when you’re coming back down with meat packed out. Nonetheless, I am curious as to how this rifle will shoot!
Show me another 300wm in a chassis sub 9lbs. Even few synthetic stocked precision 300wm under 9lbs. A plain sporter weight Rem 700 is 7.8lbs, the 700 long range is 8.5, the Bergara Wilderness is 9.6, Ruger Hawkeye long range 10.7, Ruger precision 15.2. So 8.9 isn’t so bad.
@@soonerfrac4611when you put it up against other Chassis 300WM rifles yeah that absolutely seems to be the case, so good point there. But the vast majority of the 300 win mag hunting rifles you can pick up at sportsman’s or cabelas are under 9lbs, usually hovering around 7lbs. Yes there are heavier ones and some that are just under 6lbs… but I wouldn’t say FEW are under 9lbs.
Oh I get you man. My 308 AR10 was built up as an M110 carbine before they made the carbine, optics, can, 20rd mag and she’s over 12 easy. But look at the list and everything other than a sporter weight is 8.5 or more. And those sporters don’t have medium heavy profile barrels either. Honestly, if I need a lightweight rifle I’m not gonna chamber it in 300WM, or any magnum, 30-06 or smaller if it’s under 8lbs. Years ago I saw a NULA chambered I 375H&H, that’s ridiculous! Think it was sub 7lbs with a scope.
LOVE my 6.5 CM Sig Cross. Glad they are coming out with more calibers.
Oooh what a beast! Can’t wait to see you use it this upcoming spring bear season…? Sexy gun material there
These are bad ass definitely going to get one
Nice looking rifle
Love it! 😀
Thanks! 😃
Awesome
Gotta get one and swap out barrel for 20" to go with a Scythe Ti suppressor !
That's one hell of a gun

@ewetoobblows9169 jw why that would make a difference on a 100 pound deer that I kill regularly with a .243 or 5.56 with alot less recoil or weight.
That's a long barrel once you add a suppressor. I have the cross in .308 and a perfect fit once you add a can. Too bad they can't make one with a shorter barrel for us can lovers. Still a badass gun, I'll probably buy one!
Alright ! I love my 6.5 ! But I would love to have the 300 win mag as well !!! Sweet rifle !
It’s pretty amazing
YEAH MAN!
Thanks
i hope we will see something like 338 LM 338 NM and even 375 Swiss soon.
Very interesting….
👍👍
Well mine is on the way. It’ll be here next week
That is amazing
I want to know if the new folding stock hinge is more secure (less play) than the one on my 308. Can I swap in the new hinge, and also thumb safety? Id love to have both of those.
It is definitely more secure. Not sure if you can swap it or not
I’m wanting a 300 PRC in it
That would be a hammer

Love to see a long shot at a deer now!
We shot one today, but it was only 188 yards lol
What 200 grain bullet? Also, was it factory ammo?
Factory Hornady eldx
Which sig optic is that on the rifle?
It is the Tango6. I am replacing it with the tangoDMR
Wonder what justifies the $1000 premium over the 6.5/308 version?
Dont know the answer on that one!
Total bullshit
R&D as they claim.
Can the 300 Magnum caliber pierce a bulletproof vest?
That I don’t actually know
Hmm x bolt mountain pro tungsten or this? 🤔
That is a tough one!! lol
What twist is the barrel?
Caliber: 300 Win Mag
Overall Length: 45.2 in
Overall Height: 7.25 in
Overall Width: 3.25 in
Barrel Length 24 in
Barrel Twist: 1:9
Weight with Magazine: 8.9 lb.
That thing sure looks like your next giveaway ;)
May be!!!
Man, in the email it said 8lbs but the description says 9 lbs. That's pretty heavy.
I got a buddy that hauled a ruger precision around, they're heavy af too I think over 10

@SP-ov2tm yeah true enough. I've looked hard at the Tika magnums too, I wanted the cross in a 308 but might as well go big

It is pretty heavy, but shoots amazing
Wheres the indepth review? ;)
After using it all fall I need to get on that
Hi
Can i throw it in 338 lapua?
They are definitely working on it
If they make it in 7 prc I am buying it.
Thew capabilities are there!
That’s awesome but way outta my price range
what's the price? I haven't seen the MSRP anywhere yet
@@shootloadrepeat from what I’ve saw 2499 msrp
$2499 is correct
How much does it weigh?
8.9lbs according to Sigs website
Thats going to be a hard pass for me. No wonder is recoils like a 243
Just under 9lbs
@@SwitchbackOutdoorstvi dont see the point to a 9lb rifle. Nobody is going to hunt out west with that gun. It would have been a winner at 7lbs.
Why wouldn't they just do it in PRC?

@SabertoothDefenseSystems Makes sense.
300 prc, 6.5 prc and 6 arc should be calibers available
300 PRC, 7prc will be coming this fall
Price??
$2499
9 pounds....there is no way I'm lugging that thing around the mountains. The only 9 pounder I carry is my 375 H&H for brown bears.
It has made me tougher!! Lol

Just under 9 pounds wow that sumabitch heavy as f 😂😂😂
it is, but shoots like a dream
