They finally got him
If only they made that rifle in 30-06 with Browning automatic Rifle magazines
You should shoot a 270
8 days late valentines day? No one mentions it
I love the 300Win Mag! Hey Scott, what are the magnification ranges on your scope? Looks like you can’t miss.
This thing is ridiculous! What did you think about it and what would you like to see next? I hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!

Your mom
Hey Kentucky ballistics!
Hey Scott how are you?
Cool. 950 JDJ when?
Scott should add jam to his usual list of targets, just for the puns. "Let's clear that jam!"
*points at Predator*
👉You just got jammed
@@MrCarroll Lol. If he does add jam it would funny if he said that.
Great idea
😂
Know what the difference is between jelly and jam? Lol
3:52 - Imagine that 10-round mag dump of .300 Win Mag (emptied in less than 3 seconds) neutralizing a charging bear hellbent on your destruction!!!!! A single round of "Controlled Chaos" thru that 18" barrel delivers 3,278 ft-lbs at 2,904 fps. 🔥🔥🔥
24" barrel.
@@bmw328igearheadI was fantasizing about their 18" variant... The Nemo Arms "Omen Recon LT" which is 6 inches shorter (38.25" in overall length) and only 9.0 lbs empty. That's unfathomable power for such a compact package. That rifle only weighs 1.0 lbs more than the FN SCAR 17, so carrying it somewhat comfortably isn't out of the question. And shooting the 18" version versus the 24" version only diminishes the .300 Win Mag ammunition in velocity by -196 fps & -500 ft-lbs on average. Not too bad a sacrifice for the extra ease of carry.
Isn't most .300 win mag 4,000 ft-lbs?
@@RNG-999 depends on your ammo, 2800 to 4250ftlbs is what I've been able to find.
I love Scott’s laugh after literally EVERYTHING he does.
When everything you do is literally epic and awesome, what else is there to do?
That's why this is my favorite gun channel. Scott's childlike laugh when he shoots some massive round out of a huge gun and it just obliterates whatever he's aiming at.
It's so infectious I can't help but laugh when he does
Good UA-camrs keep doing the same style content. Scott has done lots of different kinds of ‘great’ things yet he is still the same 👍👍 👌👌
@@psychorabbitt no wonder why Demolition Ranch, Brandon Herrera, Texas Plinking, and Garand Thumb are always jotting down notes
Watching Scott turn his berm into a Jackson Pollock painting makes me happy.
Holding it and firing one handed impressed me. Most 300 win mags would rip your arm off! Lol shows they tamed the recoil on this one. I like it.
It still feels like a .308... don't kid yourself for a second though... The man is a beast.
@@bmw328igearhead My bolt 300 aint real bad. But it has a good brake on it... Love the darn thing.
Another thing added to the "Damn I want that but definitely can't afford it" list. Great video as always Scott, that's a beast of a firearm
So I posted a comment obviously no one has seen it but in my comment I put if you want the capability of a NEMO but don’t want to spend the dough, look into a browning BAR in 300 win mag, functions almost same but doesn’t look as cool and you can drop magazine out of bottom and load faster but magazine is not detachable like on the NEMO but it cycles and functions just the same to the tune of $1200 vs $6500
@@donavangaffney4627 If you check on Brownings website, I'm almost positive they have detachable mag models for around $1700
Yeah I was like damn that’s cool winder how much….. going to be saving a long time
I tried to get one years ago but Buds didn't have any. Now that they do, you can't put one on lay away.
Scott’s cackling and giggling on screen is gut busting, but off screen it is made even more maniacal and hilarious
I agree Scott is just like Scott sr.
haha ikr!!!
every time he cackles, i start smirking too!
Not only an aesthetically beautiful rifle but just downright bloody devastating to boot...👍
Even Scott couldn't keep a straight face at "I got poupon my eggplant!"
I must admit I have questioned your use of Elmer's glue but after careful examination I have come to the realization that Elmer's glue gives a unique splatter pattern and is completely scientifically appropriate for ballistics testing. Brilliant 💥
It does look really weird and cool.
The amber corn syrup is an interesting splatter too!
Why is it splatter pattern with glue and other stuff and spatter pattern with blood? Or is it spatter pattern with everything and I grew up on splatter?
It was actually really easy to see the immediate impact area just based on where the greatest mass of glue was projecting outwards from, just due to the glue's sheer density. It was actually really neat to see, especially compared to the rest of the material it was tested against (zombie skull notwithstanding.)
@@chuckaddison5134 yeah... i questioned the ballistic armor around the one jug... would been better without the vest.
13:39😂🤯🤯🤯OMFG THE WAY IT STRAIGHT UP EMPTIED ITS HEAD!
THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SOOOOO SICK IN SUPER SLO-MO!!!
That shot to the zombie bust was a little terrifying. Shows how much respect weapons like this deserve, and is a good reminder to what their purpose is at the end of the day
It was effective
That was absolutely brutal
Well said
U must mention time in such comments
Not just weapons like that. Any weapon. Keep in mind that. 22 LR takes out more people than any other caliber.
As someone who has been shot, and lost a close friend to being domed with a 10 mm, ain't gonna lie, that rattled me a little. Bad memories, and the reason I became an instructor.
If what I teach saves one life, what I went through was worth it.
I believe that was the best slo-mo zombie head shot I've seen on the channel so far! Thank you Scott for telling me a need a .300 Win Mag!
No doubt it looked like the face folded inside the skull and popped back out
@@TheycallmeUncleB absolutely!
I was on the fence for the Omen for a time. This has essentially sold me on my next piece! Excellent vid as always!
I only wish Scott had more fun when he makes videos like this. 🤣
He seems to have a lot of fun tho
Yeah, it seems like such a grind😉.
I agree it's time he found another career as his heart obviously isn't in it anymore 😊
Yep he should be on strong anti depressents, sad to see such a downcast fellow. 😂
Right like he seems to be not enjoying it AT ALLLL HAHAHAHAHH
Ballistic Dummy Lab and Clear Ballistics ya’ll are awesome! Thank you very much for playing in with Scott.
Awesome how much fun Scott is having! That had to be all-time, that thing is sick. 300 Win Mag is one helluva round. This one is up there with the HCAR chamber in 30-06! Stoked watching that slow-mo bro. Keep sending it
Man I really wanna see a trail cam video of the week after a range day to see what critters are running around, and how damn chunky they are 😂😂
I'm surprised the range isn't one giant ant mound by now.
I will second that.
The critters must eat well.
Probably confused by eggplant covered in gray poupon, though.
I’m not sure about the glue though.
@@marcusrauch4223 - I ate the glue paste in kindergarten, didn't you?
Some animals might like it.
cavitation on that ballistics gel is always fun to see. also the air inside of it turning into a small sun
I noticed that too, and the flash lasted for only 2 frames in the video, with no movement in the gel during those 2 frames. I think youtube runs at a faster framerate than Scott films at.
Yes sonoluminescence . If you could somehow get that reaction to happen over and over again you would have free energy. More out than in.
@@claponclapoff6It's not sonoluminesence, it's dieselling. Rapid compression of air in a flammable medium.
@@claponclapoff6 your mistaken.
The millisecond plasma created by compressing the air quickly in the cavitation has NO WHERE near the available energy that was spent and imparted in to the projectile as kinetic energy.
Harvesting the heat from that plasma would net you maybe a few hundred joule of energy, tops.
The wasted muzzle blast from a .300 mag will have several thousands of joule of energy in pure waste.
We don't need a long conversation either about it, but "FREE energy" is a flat out fallacy......can't happen.
Alright gents look up "Backfire 6.5 Creedmoor EXPLODES in Ballistics" he goes into what happens here
Excellent job on dispatching the furby menace......🤣🤣🤣
Scott holding an omen makes it look like a 16" AR15.
That's what I thought
I just want to mention because I thought it was fascinating. I noticed when Scott shoots the ballistics gel, the cavitation generated a small detonation or flash of light when it collapsed, so damn cool
You see this happen alot when shooting underwater, or when you set off ballistics underwater. Theyre called cavitation bubbles and the energy of the collapse is enough to generate both light and heat. That's why it was scorched where the bubble was too. A cool little fact is that the mantis shrimp has a smasher that hits stuff so hard that it creates little cavitation bubbles on impact. If I remember correctly its roughly the same amount of energy as a .22lr bullet. Sorry if you already knew all this, but its super interesting stuff!
@@gathrus6847 Interesting

Doesn’t matter how shitty of a day, KB makes my day much better. Thanks yall
Did anybody else catch that flash of light at 12:48 when Scott shoots the ballistic gel? that's awesome.
I think it's from air getting trapped and compressed momentarily to a point that it's glowing hot, similar to a compression-ignition (diesel) engine or a fire piston.
@@JWQweqOPDH exactly
I did
All they way from Denmark
@@JWQweqOPDH just wow... had no idea that was a thing.. i get the compression ignition... just didn't realize or think about it in this type of situation. damn!!
That slow mo of the ballistic gel was incredible. That round caused quite a bit of hydrostatic shock, WOW
Archeologists of the future will be confused as hell and wonder wtf happened on this property... 😂😂😂
I must say, I am glad to see you going back to some more, traditional ballistic media. Reminds me of years ago when you tested a lot of handgun rounds with pine boards or gel, or concrete blocks etc.
Scott.....that gun is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The recoil looks so light. As you said in the beginning, .300 WinMag was always thought of as bolt action with one heck of a kick. For such a light gun I expected more recoil. Either way I bet that one becomes one of your all time favorites.
Remember that this rifle was being shot by someone who thinks of a 50 cal as a "light" weapon though!
Scott literally exists just to make us laugh. Keep up the good work man, God bless!
Notice at 12:48 a phenomenon called "sonoluminescence" in other words, "light from friction". There is so much energy dump happening there it is quite pronounced.
Continues to be the best slow mo on UA-cam. And the lack of recoil on that weapon is ridiculous for the amount of energy it transfers.
I think the best SloMo on youtube is Taofladermaus or Ballistic High-speed.
You should definitely check them out.
They have high speed cameras that cost a quarter million $$$🤯
What lol..there's a bunch of phantom flex etc. Gun footage on UA-cam.
Scott's definetely more entertaining but that comment is factually false lol.
Good point. I rewatched it some and your spot on. That’s gotta be the most power loser recoil rifle ever lol
You need to watch the slow-mo guys. Their entire branding is perfection slow motion capture
always awesome when Kentucky ballistics post a video thank you for everything you do Scott
The glue makes for a delightful target. Something about the waves it splatters in is incredibly satisfying to watch.
Scott's the Jackson Pollock of 300 win mag. Put that table in an art museum ASAP!
I love after every shot, Scott yelled in amazment of the devistation of that rifle! I couldn't help but laugh! 😆
I really like how they actually made the ejectionport wide enough for the brass.
On many semi rifles, and pistols they are often to small and the brass sometimes "dances" in the opening hitting the edges causing malfunction.
Never realized how bad I needed a 300 win mag until right now 😍
It is an awesome cartridge I love my 300 win mag AR.
I have come here to eat eggplant and shoot 300 win mag,....and I am all out of eggplant!!
300 Win Mag is not cheap, like the cost 44 Magnum but with 20 rounds.
Just last week I was charged by a herd of Grizzly Bears. I could have used it.
@@AlexKS1992 lol yeah they don't make plinking rounds for the .300 lol

We need a behind the scenes of range maintenance
That has to be one of the best combo's of calibre and ammunition. Lehigh absolutely nailed it with the design of that round. Huge wound channels and they still manage to get the base to carry a ton of energy. The Omen would make an amazing hog rifle!
All the little bugs and animals love when Scott leaves the range. Thats why its always so clean. Squirrels love peanut butter and eggplant.
I really enjoy the light hearted 2A channels like yours, Matt’s and Brandon’s. It gives me a smile and a break from watching the legal info channels about our rights. Love you guys.

That 300 WinMag will turn something into a modern art masterpiece in one shot. Scott knows time it is. 😎👍
This episode felt like an acid trip out of a movie 😂
7:08 what do you mean?
There was a lot crammed into this video
Looks like "a fine piece of modern art". Jackson Pollock is always around the corner when you're shooting stuff like eggplant puree
What a spring bolt and receiver. Love the forward movement and lockout of the bolt prior to the next round being fired. Super smooth!
Watched a lot of lead go down range on your channel. Can't recall anything that wasn't in the actual Big Game range quite so thoroughly obliterating the containers. Definitely going to be on the lookout for this caliber.
My Howa 1500 in .300WM is quite heavy, the barrel alone is 8 pounds. But that helps out so much with felt recoil.
The sonoluminescence flash in the ballistics gel was neat as always.
That was beautiful.
@@medicbabe2ID You saw that too. I didn't know that could happen.

Scott that’s a awesome rifle, the 300win mag in a semi auto is great. I have several bolt action ones, but I think I might have to get one of those. I loved the way the casings were bouncing off the windshield of the side by side! Great video!👍
