Could there possibly be a worse food choice in that scenario than cuttlefish and asparagus. That's what is so hilarious about that. Great to see them laughing.
Yep Trey Parker and Matt Stone do pretty much 90% of all the characters voices themselves…. And they write the stories and do the music and all in 6-7 days for most of the episodes. While doing Broadway plays, movies and games on the side, and milking the streaming companies for loads of money. That’s why the last two deals for South Park alone combined for a net of nearly a billion and a half dollars. These guys are beyond talented and deserve every penny and I hope they continue to rake deals for many more years to come!!! Already legends in my book!
Yeah I adored him as chef. But I know that Scientologist have major control of what people do, and apparently they got so offended by that episode they told him he had to quit.
@sarasweightlossjourney1432 it's actually more complicated than that. More info came out and it turns out Isaac had a stroke around that time. He wasn't capable of making his own decisions so the "church" swooped in and started doing that for him. They submitted his resignation for him and everyone thought he did it himself for awhile.
The guy's name is Bill Hader and he is one of the writers/ consultants for the South Park episodes. I always want to call him John Heeter for some reason. 😅
They pushed the making of an episode so much that in the last years they sign the contract and do every episode in one week before it goes to air. It's crazy how good they've become but that's why in the last seasons they kept the topics of the episodes so close to what's happening in the world. A perfect example was the 2016 USA election with Mr. Garrison
Not really then. They experimented with serialization more in 2016 which meant that everything was all pre-planned pretty far in advance (for south park) instead of their typical self-contained episodes which use the week-to-week events. They actually had to change one of the major episodes they had planned because Trump won which threw a wrench in the whole season as a lot of the context hinged on Clinton winning.
@@steakismeat177 Yea and? That's called a contingency plan. They had stories written for both angles, expected one to play out but still had a plan if it didn't. They're not dumb. No idea what you were trying to say here, basically nothing.

So how Eric's voice lines are done is that first Trey Parker records his lines then someone edits his voice to sound like what Eric's voice is like on the final version of the animated show

I've never seen this video compilation before, i laughed hysterically when Kyle said he was doing it pro bono, and Trey's like "You're doing it to just get a boner?" that had me cracking up
It’s very impressive to do what they do in under a week. Their episodes are always very qualitative and it feels like more time was put into them. And because they make them this quick they can keep up with new stuff that’s happening in the world. Many times something pretty big has happened and the week after it’s on the new episode. That’s pretty awesome.
The thing that makes South Park still great is that they make it just to make themselves laugh so it never feels forced. Except for maybe the Trump Arch.
Yeah I think that one even they admitted a lot of it was done mostly to hop on the political bandwagon that had started in media at the time. And even with that arc being what it was at least they had to courage to admit it wasn't like work they had done before and had some regret. Most other media doubled down.
Matts great, but Trey is really amazingly talented. He can do a million characters and comes up with most of the stories. And all the song lyrics. Just an insane amount of things hes been able to create

According to his son, Hayes didn't quit willingly and had nothing against the south park team. The church of scientology spread that information and everyone assumed Hayes had said it. The church kind of had a vendetta against the south park for it's depiction of the religion and had done several things prior to this incident. Hayes unfortunately passed away before this was able to be cleared up.
