"Spiderman works in mysterious ways" always gets me
One of my favorite lines in any tv show
I like how Sharon isn't even upset that Randy caused the death of a boy
@@MrDerpInSanDiegoShe also buried all the bodies of the people Stan’s fish killed because she thought he did it.
@@MrDerpInSanDiego she changed around that time to be more like marge simpson.
It is because technically Randy didn't do anything wrong. He has done (and will do) worse things.
What Randy basically did is like what Kenny did in The Ring, or like when a guy takes his gf out and grooms her so they can do kinky things later on. Quite the contrary, this scheme is valid and reinforced their relationship.
What it could have upset her was if Randy didn't include her in this and instead include another woman or a new partner, which can be considered as cheating.
@@SeyaDiakite7yes. And she's more grounded and HEAD of Lois Griffin...
Big round of applause to you cause you are so autonomous . Last episode you found out on your own there was a deleted scene. And the fact you always know your references. I raise my hat to you. Thanks for existing
He watches the worst episodes of south Park first tho
@@franciscopereira5760what episode do you desire?
Or you know
Maybe he knows everything already
I figure sometimes he might do post-research. Don’t see a lot of show reactions do it, but I do see it sometimes on movies. Where they will look up IMDb trivia stuff about it after, or look up a reference they know they didn’t understand.

Fun behind the scenes facts:
The book of mormon musical was conceived back in 2003, when Matt and Trey were working on Team America. They wanted inspiration, and so they went to go see Avenue Q, a musical comedy with puppets. By a weird coincidence, Avenue Q co-creator Bobby Lopez had thanked Matt and Trey personally in his playbill because he was a huge fan and inspired by the South Park Movie. After the show they met and went out for drinks and found out by a strange coincidence that they all were fascinated by Mormonism and wanted to do a musical about them, so they decided to do it together.
After several years getting together and developing it, the book of mormon became a huge hit on Broadway. Though they were done working on it, Matt and Trey didn't want to stop hanging out with lopez, and decided to invite him to come into south park studios and have him help write an episode... that episode was Broadway Brodown, and that's why it's a musical episode about Broadway musicals.
damn, that's actually a fun fact.
Matt and Trey are the best
That really is a fun fact! Thank you for sharing it 😊❤! I always wondered how that musical came about.
I actually didn't know that, that's awesome
Bobby Lopez also wrote Let It Go from Frozen. What range this guy has 😆👏🏼
Contrary to the central conflict of the episode, Parker & Stone were welcomed to Broadway with open arms. Stephen Sondheim was actually a pretty big fan of the duo before his passing, hence the hefty praise for his work in the episode.
There are a plethora of Easter Eggs for us Broadway fans to enjoy in this episode, including their Book of Mormon collaborator Robert Lopez voicing Larry & the blond guy at the theater bar.
Stephen Sondheim was a true bro.
Sondheim even called Bigger Longer and Uncut the best musical of its generation
Wait Bobby Lopez voiced Larry Feegan?! Damn I never knew that!!!
This is your reminder the Matt and Trey wrote a massive broadway hit.
I wanna see The Book of Mormon sooooo bad!!! 😂
News to me. I had no idea. The more you know.
Given that Trey Parker was in one of the Despicable Me films, I'm curious if he and Matt would succeed in making a (probably Hard PG) Animated Family Film.
Damn. I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed Kenny at the swimming pool. Nothing gets past you, man. Another great reaction!
I did, not that anyone cares.
Never cared
@@franciscopereira5760 Wow! You're so cool!
My husband and I still use "why you gotta disrespect bro? I do respect you bro" when starting to disagree about something. It makes us laugh every time.
The ending was even more hilarious because I've been to the Spider-Man musical... it was a notorious disaster. I took my mom up to New York for a Broadway weekend. (I know, I'm a pervert)
Omfg 😂
How bad was it when you saw it? I've never heard any first-hand accounts!
@@MardukGodSlayer it was in the news for techical issues, the wire they swung spider man on kept breaking and injuring actors if I recall correctly, thus the scene where spider man is swinging around hurting people at the end of the episode
@@xboxaddict552oh wow I didn't know that 😮! Let alone it was a musical at all lol 😂.
It was called Spiderman Turn Off The Dark
Always a good day when theres a south park reaction
Thanks, James!
@@dash.reactsfor real though, I watch a lot South Park reactions, yet you’re my most anticipated poster
When theres a Dash south park rection
The tribute to Larry was hilarious😂
Rip 😔
It was pretty hi-Larry-ous, yes. :)
Apparently, Stephen Sondheim actually called the South Park movie "the best musical he's seen in 15 years", so Matt and Trey had at least one of the old guard in their corner.
In case you didn't get the reference with Spiderman other than it being a Broadway show it was canceled many times because of the accidents the actors playing Spiderman sustained during the musical and rehearsals. I think one of them suffered neck injuries. So yea lol
Unfortunately one of them tragically died.
@@MasterBuilderDragonWho died? Can you please provide a name, a source for that?
@@redshed2020 ok, I watched a video where that was mentioned but they must have gotten their information wrong because I thought Christopher Tierney died, but he actually survived a near fatal accident. My bad.
Felt soo bad for Larry at the end, poor guy😭🤣
My ex took me to go see Book of Mormon for Valentines Day in London about a year ago as she knew I loved South Park. It was so goddamn funny, the jokes were so rude though that at times I was only one laughing out loud and people were turning their heads at me because they were so offensive🤣. Trey Parker is ridiculously funny!
how come only you were laughing? where were you at?
I watched it in London and the whole place was going off with the jokes, and the best part is always the Mormon who was troubled he was gay 🤣
@@crh18 I was sitting in the middle column on the upper floor towards the front and I could easily tell a lot of people were offended
Trey is amazing with musicals. The South Park movie is a great example of that as if Book of Mormon. But if you have a chance, watch Cannibal the Musical. It’s a project Trey and Matt did while still in college and it’s amazing for how young they were and how long ago it was made.
So many songs from Cannibal the Musical are still stuck firmly in my head. Helped me from getting a certain Frozen song stuck when I could just think of Let's build a snowman
*_If you want more South Park musical songs:_* 🎵🎶
- South Park The Movie
- S03E15 - Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics
- S12E13 - Elementary School Musical
I loved that movie Uncle F*****r
Mr Mackey singing Carol of the bells in one of the funniest musical numbers of all time.
As a Broadway fan, this is one of my all-time favorite episodes!
To answer your question from early on in the episode: yes, you can absolutely get alcohol at a musical. Generally you're more likely to see someone sipping a martini or glass of wine than guzzling down a blue motorcycle, but a good drink can absolutely be a part of your enjoyment of music theater.
I'd really love to see you react next to Season 15 Episode 10: Bass to Mouth. It has some great Cartman shenanigans and continues the story of Lemmiwinks (the gerbil from the "Death Camp of Tolerance" episode. 😊
The grandpa part killed me 😂😂
When I was a kid in 1967, my family went to New York to visit my grandparents, and we saw "South Pacific" at Lincoln Center starring Florence Henderson. Thanks to this episode of South Park, I'm shuttering at the thought of what my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles may have been doing that night after the seeing the musical.
Book of Mormon was incredible. It was a laugh riot and entertaining. You gotta go watch it! Even if you don't like musicals!!!
I like pretty much everything Matt & Trey have done. That been said, Book of Mormon is my favourite and it's not even close.
I really want to watch it, but I'm not sure if it has ever came through the cities closest to us. So far as of late "Hamilton" did come through, but I wasn't interested in that.
Book Of Mormon is amazing and hilarious. Would definitely recommend!

14:55 All of them but the cyclopes and the weird helmet to the right of Cinderella. Captain America, Freddy Krueger, Frankenstein's Monster, Jason Vorhees, Cheer Bear (Care Bears), Sasquatch, Storm Trooper, Optimus Prime, The Flash, and Cinderella.
The one you're missing was Cylon from Battlestar Galactica.

YESSSSS!!!!! Thank you so much for doing this one. It just might be my favorite episode, especially with that ending. Every Mormon person, and musical fanatics alike get to watch this episode when visiting me. It's too hilarious not to share with the world. Thank you, Dash. You've made my day.
The “subtlety” of the BJ references is hilarious! 😂
10:30 - I dunno how many times I've seen the episode but it wasn't until now I realized that they might be singing "Don't stop, don't stop, Shaaron!"
I wasn't ready for Macho Man shouting "SLIM JIM!" 😂😂
started watching your south park reactions about a week ago....then binge-watched them all. thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them! one of the few rare reactors who actually understands and points out references and adds to the episode itself.
I always look forward to your uploads! Especially your South Park reactions! Love the value that you add to the videos! Thank u and please don’t stop!
What’s really funny about this is that Sondheim was on a panel where he voted Trey and Matt’s Team America movie the best of the year. When it didn’t win, he personally wrote a letter to Matt and Trey telling them he thought it was the best movie and that he was pissed that people weren’t taking it more seriously. He then encouraged them to get into musical theater. Sondheim is basically the reason they wrote Book of Mormon and this episode was kind of their way of saying thank you to him… by putting him in a brodown with Randy Marsh. I bet Sondheim got a kick out of it.
Finally you've reacted to this episode. These kind of absurd episodes is why I love South Park.
Saw wicked for the 4th time a couple weeks ago. Love it with or without a hummer
1. Hamilton
2. Phantom

We all know why you like those
if u replace Hamilton with Les Mis and wicked with La Cage Aux Folles we have the same list
@@navrotron22 I haven’t seen les mis as a play yet, I’m pretty fond of the music tho. It’s got some tear jerkers. Haven’t even heard of the other one

“Now get on your knees and put that heart on work”
"When you pushed me off the diving board I fell" - sweetest moment in all of South Park.

I live for Dash’s South Park videos
Idk of its just me but there is such a joy when see a Dash Reacts vid in your sub box where its a episode u have suggested 😂
Dash is so done after just like, ten minutes. I love it.
Your editing is great your reactions are great just found ya man. This channel is great keep it up!

Dash:"Randy you're not going to win a Tony"
Cut away: book of Mormon won nine Tony's 😂
Literally bored out of my mind, waiting for laundry to dry. THEN SAVED BY THE LEGEND! Perfect upload time my man.
The friggin end about Larry dying because he took his life jacket off is great. It’s the chekhovs gun of the episode.
The way Randy yells "Shelly!" @ 14:50 and 15:31 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol great work on this one! Always love your vids, dude 😊
I really like how compassionate you were when Denver was gonna get Blue Balled from Wicked leaving the area.
I mean the sub text stuff is silly and kinda messed up, but who is getting hurt here... Right?
Just a all around great time for everyone involved.

"How am I supposed to edit this for UA-cam?!"
You did well.
Yesss my man! Asked about this ages ago, one of my favourite ever eps! Thanks dude you rock ❤
"Where is this show playing?"
I was literally just searching to see if you uploaded today. Ahh…another good day.
This episode always cracked me up because my mom LOVED Wicked 😂
You are a very impressive reactor and my favorite South Park reactor as well! Kudos dash!
14:55 Wow, Captain America, Cinderella, Flash, Stormtrooper, Jason, Krueger, Frankenstein, I think a Cyclope near Krueger but idk that pink teddy bear under him 😂
Like the callbacks to things you remember in other episodes.
Im surprised they didn’t include The Book of Mormon as the musical as it would have made a great easter egg. I went to see The Book of Mormon in London a few months and it is easily one of my favourite musicals
Edit: nevermind, just watched the end of the episode and it appears
Spider-man works in mysterious ways, Shelley, and wherever he is... He loves you.
Oh man, I was just thinking yesterday dash should do Broadway Bro Down and then this morning, here it is.
"Excuse me miss, can I trouble you for a quick Lewinsky?" LMFAO!
Saw this and immediately wondered how this was going to be censored. Glad to see you had the same question. Lol. And censored it beautifully.
The only thing I don't like about your South Park reactions is that they don't drop more frequently. I love these man! And the fact you're always up on the references and make conversation related to the show along the way is always a lot of fun. Cheers man!
There are a lot of South Park reactions out there. What makes Dash so special is that he puts the time and effort in calling out all the references. This man’s channel is worth the wait!

The part where randy called this random guy a pervert even that guy is spending time with his grand daughter caused me to laugh off my chair🪑
Oh the Spider-Man Musical, you gotta respect the ambition, even if it was a health hazard.
14:56 captain America, Freddy Krueger, Cyclops from Jason and the Argonauts, Care Bear, Storm Trooper, Optimus Prime, Cinderella, Frankenstein’s Monster, Jason Vorhees, Harry the Sasquatch from Harry and the hendersons, The Flash, Spider-Man on the box, and Cyclon from BattleStar Galatica.

Oh thank you for answering my comment this made my day
Once I see a notification that you have uploaded a reaction to the episode Stanley's Cup, I will drop everything happening at that exact moment to watch it haha. The most divisive South Park episode in the South Park-watching community......
I've never actually seen a musical but I have listened to a lot of songs. I liked Heathers, Hamilton, and Mean Girls.
Watch the Spongebob musical, it's fun, well acted, and the staging is amazing
Funny how I was hoping for you to react to this episode soon, awesome!!

Lol the peacocking or chicken stances are hilarious lol putting their hands to the sides like wings or something haha
6:52 - I salute you for finding a way to do so 🤣UA-cam has become very hard to get around censorship and copyrights. And South Park really does push those restrictions to the limit most episodes (lol).
It always makes me smile somehow seeing you post reactions
"WHAT MAKES YOU THE BROTHORITY BRO?!"
West side story bro
I love how Trey and Matt like to write episodes that tie in to real life events in their own personal lives. This episode was a tie in to Trey and Matt’s Broadway Musical, The Book of Mormon debuting on Broadway
damn dash catches everything he knew that spider man was a musical to😂
This episode must've been a PITA to edit, lol. Love your videos as always.
The way that one guy lamely goes "it's spider-man" is absolutely hilarious to me
To answer your question about drinking at a Broadway show, yes! At most theatres on Broadway there is a small bar in the lobby. People typically will go there during intermission not due to waiting for subtext though :0
Heyy.. I forgot all about this story but that Spiderman bit was a reference to a real story where the actor playing Spiderman in a Broadway production got tangled and flew around out of control at a performance.
Thanks and well wishes from Birmingham England!
I can just imagine the writer's room. 'What's the new episode about Trey?' 'Well basically it's a 20 minute advert for our new Broadway musical that gets aired on primetime and they pay us to make.'😂
Dash's disappointed face always gets me. 😂
My dad and stepmom were big into musicals when I was growing up in the 80’s/early 90’s. How many times have I heard the Cats soundtrack? Paint your Wagon, Oklahoma, Les Miserables, The Music Man, HMS Pinafore, Into the Woods, West Side Story…
I appreciate some of them, I found others hard to sit through. I couldn’t speak to the allure that South Park is spelling out here, because I never had a partner that enjoyed musicals. 🤷♀️
Love your vids man keep it up👍
5:05 that CNN “article” said “that’s why your dog drinks out of the toilet. He’s smarter than you think.”
Well, typically the a kitchen sink isn’t at a convenient height for the average dog to drink from, not to mention also typically not filled with water. Where as the toilet is at the perfect height and has water in it.
And I’ve seen dogs eat actual feces before so that’s all moot anyway.
For some context: around the same time the creators of South Park released a Broadway musical. The Book of Mormon.
Dash you missed the scene where Larry held up the boombox outside Shellys window
The B plot here always touched me very deeply. I always thought Shelly and Larry would marry one day, like it was that kind of lifelong true love, til he drowned without a life preserver😂 but when Shelly lay there like that I bawled like a baby.😢😢😢😢
If the germiest place in your home is the kitchen sink, it's from washing all the e.coli off your vegetables.
