I am a DYI-er. I love your videos. Thank you. I just used conversion base and top with slick pour and they turned out great. Since I’m not a pro, my resin top coat always gets cloudy so I switched to conversion gel! I didn’t know I could use the conversion top coat on the resin. Thank you for the options!

Show us dip ombre and dip ombre fill! I imagine it's simpler to perform a dip ombre when it's a fill but not necessarily from scratch!

I never fill my dip color or my daughter's. We always want different colors after 2-3 weeks. I drill off most of the color and bulk, then apply the new color. Works great!

Can I do this for a refill on a regular acrylic extension? Like a 2 to 3 week extention that has a regular plastic nail tip that salons use? It doesn't need rebalancing and it's a very short extension

Why does my gel top coat chip and crack when I put it on dip?
Can you make a clear or pink dip “base” layer for the color so you only have to file the top color off to change, or will the “base” dip layer be compromised?

I see on the resin dip powder nail that after you buffed and cleansed it you applied 1 coat of protein bond then applied the conversion gel top coat am I correct in what I saw.
Yes, we apply a coat of protein bond before top coat to help prevent chipping and peeling.
What speed do you use to remove bulk? Like when you used the safety bit to remove shine?
To remove bulk you use your e file on anywhere from 12 to 14 thousand RPMs

Protien Bond to insure The topcoat bonds perfectly to the enhancement with no pilling or chipping!😉😊

you can but it won't absorb the powder the same way
As long as you properly disinfect your clients hands there will be no cross contamination. 😊

I 3rd this! I chuckle inside when nail techs discredit dip powder even when proper sanitation is followed by 70-80% alcohol which kills 99% of microbes. And these same techs refuse to clean the filters on pedicure thrones between each client and they use the same buffers and files with the same dust from each client on every client. A lot of them don't even wash their bits or change sanding bands! I also know that most dip powders and acrylic powders have benzoyl peroxide in them and that alone creates a hostile environment for microbes both anaerobic and aerobic. There's a lot of hypocrisy in nails but that hypocrisy leaves room for the good techs to differentiate themselves from the oversaturation in our industry!
What is conversion bond with the gold sparkle nail,
Conversion base and top are a gel base and top made to absorb our slickpour powder. The gold is our slickpour bronze blitz. All products are linked in the description.

For some reason my slick our doesn't come out right. I get a lot bulk but I'm not giving up!!
Follow the steps in slick pour application. It could be if you’re dipping it and why you’re dipping your finger. Also pouring it even over the nails will help!
Does filing over glitter effect the glitter appearance?

I did this process using the resin system than a gel top coat. I followed exactly to these instructions but the gel top coat started peeling off a few hours later? Why? 😢
If you buffed the surface after your application, the surface was probably too smooth for a gel top coat to adhere well. Make sure you only use a 150 grit file to finish the nail, not a buffer. Also, after filing, cleanse the nail with Swipe & apply a coat of Protein Bond.
Did you use Under the Radar underneath the Bronze Blitz?

If you are using it with our conversion base and top yes. If you are using it with resin, no.
I’ve heard you aren’t supposed to fill dip nails when using resin, you’re supposed to soak off every time and reapply or it causes like fungus or discoloration on the nail plate... in nail school we did fills on dip and while it was easier than a total soak off, we did have a few people get some discoloration on their nails after taking them off.... nevertheless this was a very informative video!
If not preped properly, it doesn’t matter what artificial enhancement you’re applying, you will have issues. Prep is so important. That sets up the foundation for the nail!
It’s very unsanitary to fill dip , hence to why u soak off the old and get a fresh set . To see what’s underneath…

Why did she protein bond before the top coat??
To help prevent chipping/peeling of the top coat.

This is great because whenI go to my salon they won’t do a fill on colored dip powder even when tho I only go to them so I know the color I use ( been going here for well over 20 yrs now) I still have to do a soak off and a new set smh

It’s not necessary. However, not all nail techs have the same education. So I would do whatever nail tech you’re going to does best. If it’s soaking then that’s what it is I guess.💁🏻♀️ Show then this video 😂😉😊🙌🏼

It is gel but it is specially formulated to absorb the powder this way.

she used our protein bond. we use it before top coating on enhancements because it helps prevent lifting or chipping
@@youngnailsinc oh really, that'sgood to know. I knew you don't use it before slick pour so you do it after the last step which was the activator. So it goes after done with last dip, you then use activator, rub it in and then, protein bomb and then top coat??
@@christinakelley6715 she used it with the resin method because she was using a gel top coat. If you were going to use the step 4 dip top coat you wouldn't use protein bond.

How many refills can you get away with using slick pour and resin? 🤔
As long as you aren't changing the color or having issues with lifting or breakage, there is no limit to the number of times you can fill.

We did. Our conversion base and top are gel base and top specially formulated to absorb the powder in this way.
