This just took my ombré game to the next level. I was only able to ombré with the colors used in the last video. Don’t know why I didn’t figure this out. Apply the lighter color and sprinkle the darker one. Geez 🤦🏾♀️ Thanks 🙏🏾

A great thing about dip is that unless you're using a gel top coat, you don't need a lamp! 💕

Can you also use the dip powders as just reg acrylic application too? Just wondering. I would love to do a PR on your different products. Thanks Bestie! We don't test applying the dip powders with monomer like regular acrylic so we cannot guarantee the results. While the powders are similar, they are also very different. 💕

No you don't. For the second coat of the lighter color, you apply base, dip into the lighter color and then brush on the darker color. The base is still sticky and having the lighter color already on the nail helps get the fade.💕 Hope that clears it up for you both!
@@KiaraSkyNails for me doesn't work, I tried with base and top 2 in 1. I guess it drys too fast then the dark color doesn't stay.

Before you start brushing on the darker color, do you apply another layer of base coat?
I'm thinking so.. How else would you get the powder to stick? Wish they were more specific. I feel like you could try and put the powder on without another coat of the base and see what happens. Trying this today!

Thanks Babe! For short nails, they can be done the same way as these, the fade will just be less. Be sure to keep the second color closer to either the cuticle or free edge, depending on the ombre. 💕

If you are using a full nailfo you still have to apply th base and dip 3/4 of the nail

I had a nude and purple ombre done today however I think she went to pale on the nude ... She used the dip powder like you would with acrylic ...can you do it like that ??

Does it matter what kind of brush you use? Bc I know you can’t use just any brush for the dip liquid so I wasn’t sure if it mattered for the powder or not since it’s not all the way dry (right?).

So just to double check ... you don't apply another coat of base to the nail before putting the coloured powder for the ombre? It's just straight on after the 2nd lighter coat.
Yup.You are correct! This is so that not a whole lot of the second color sticks, creating the ombre effect. It also allows you to blend it really easily. 💕

wait i don’t understand. is the base wet when you brush on the ombré colour or is it just onto a dry nail. if it’s dry how do you put base over that and if it’s wet how does the brush not just harden

do the polishes (specifically bond and top coat) have a strong smell? The system i currently use burns my eyes and makes me tear up when i use them. Its really frustrating.

No for the second coat of white, you apply base, dip into white and then brush on the darker color. The base is still sticky and having some white on there will help the fade. Hope that clears it up for you. 💅🏻

Yup! It can be repeated if you want more pigment however, but once is all it really needs! 💕
My 2nd dipping powder won't stick to the nails because the 1st dipping powder already dry?

For the powder after she finished putting the clear coat on top, she uses the activator which cures and hardens the powders.
