Today Karen is going to show you three different techniques to apply SlickPour Dip Powder aside from the traditional 4 step resin application. She’ll show you how to pour the powder over conversion gel, pick up pearls using nail liquid, and mix into gel for brush on application.

Still trying to figure out how teal, pink, and white made an amazing soft blue. I guess this is the sort of thing experience teaches you? Karen is an amazing educator, I understand the things she says!
The pink is actually more of a lavender/light purple color.

Notice the difference in the colors, conversion gel is darker. You can really see it when it’s side by side. Enjoyed watching!

Whenever I pour glitter slick pours over the nail, almost none of the glitter sticks. You can even see it in this video… Only the one you used with monomer actually looks glittery. That’s my only issue with the pour over method… And when I pick a glittery powder it’s because I want it to look glittery. Any advice for that?
The most common reason for the glitter not sticking is if the product is not mixed up well or if you are applying to thin of a layer of your base. Give the container a good stir so the glitter and powder are evenly combined. Also, brush on a slightly thicker coat of your base. The powder is heavier and will sink in to the base first and if there isn't enough base, the glitter won't have anything to bond to. Using a thicker coat will allow the powder to absorb but still leave enough to grab on to the glitter as well.

I am allergic to acrylic nails but use your synergy gel with no problem. I'm tempted to do gel nails and then use the slick pour over gel polish. 🤔 wonder if it would work with no reaction.
Dip powder is a more finely milled acrylic powder, I would check with your health care provider if it is something you are able to use.
Hey, YN family! Quick question... Would you guys recommend using slick pour with conversion gel as a way to do an enhanced nail (using a nail tip)? I just used this method as a beautiful overlay on my natural nails. Im curious if it would be a strong enough system to try it with nail extensions also. ❤
When using slickpour with conversion, it is a more flexible option than using slickpour with resin so I wouldn't recommend using just that over a tip.
if you were wanting to use the conversion method over a full cover tip you could since there is more stability as the tip is over the whole nail. Just be aware that it could make the nail look bulky.

Can I add glitter to the cream clays?
We would recommend applying the glitter over the Cream Clays rather than mixing it into the gel. The color pigment in the gel may cover the glitter too much

Could slickpour work with ManiQ in the jar? To mix in like you did with the flex hard gel? Thank you!
It can be mixed, but when you mix acrylic powders into any gel, depending on the color, you may get a grainy appearance.
What is the difference between the Swipe and the Mani Q cleanser?
ManiQ Cleanser is for soft gels because it doesn't have any acetone in it. Swipe has a little acetone in it which works better on hard gels.

Can you use slick pour with maniq gel in a jar? Or only conversion base?
We recommend the Conversion Gels since they are a thinner consistency and allow the correct amount of powder to absorb. Depending on the gel you are using, if it is a thinner consistency, this may work for you as well.
