Thanks for checking out this video, I hope is was helpful and entertaining. Check out more of my species specific videos here: ua-cam.com/play/PLjBrtja7Q8uhfQk5PyFCMeekWhTJfviVD.html
This tarantula species is one of the best begginer species
I'm asking for one for my birthday!
@@daniellewinter were you able to get one??
@@gerry7860 Yes! I got a pink toe
@@daniellewinter nicee congrats!
@@gerry7860 Thanks!!
Just added this T. to my family. he is easily the most docile and “friendly” tarantula. He is big and fluffy and his color is striking. (I actually don’t know yet if he is actually a “he”, I just automatically default to that lol). If you wonder if you should get this spider, the answer is YES.
Thank you for a great informative video. Got my first tarantula back in 2009 while I was still in med school. It was a Chaco sling about 1cm legspan. Today she (yes, confirmed female) is still with me 11 years later, and part of the family. Symbolically she has taught me a lot... In order to grow in life, you need to leave your past behind and step out of it (the old exoskeleton during a molt). It may be uncomfortable (on your back, feet in the air) and you may be vulnerable (soft new exoskeleton after a molt with soft fangs), however, you will be bigger, stronger and more vibrant when you are back on your feet, facing the world big and bold!
I just got my choco yesterday. And trust me. The bulldozer fact is true. I got up this morning and he/she did their own form of rearranging
I love this species. It was my son’s very first T and have been loving her for 3 years now. Very chill and laid back when she wants to. Has her moments of course but what T doesn’t lol. Great video and keep them videos coming Richard
Thanks a lot Michael...we all have times we are easily annoyed or dont want to be bothered...I am sure tarantulas are no different..lol
It’s just unbelievable how majestic some of these animals look. Chacos especially look regal with their gold bands/coat and confident, relaxed, and curious demeanor. 🖤💛
Smartass mode on: It is called "pulchri-pes", "pes" meaning foot. Smartass mode off. Nice informative video. Thanks!
KaroKoenich I could not stop laughing after reading that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This channel is so underrated. Keep making vids man. Im a big fan! ♥️
Thanks! Will do!
The Intro song should never be changed. I am always being hyped up by it😂
One of the most relaxed tarantulas I have the pleasure of owning. I didn’t know much about these and a vendor at a reptile expo recommended this for my 11 year old. She’s now 17 and it’s still going strong!
I just got one and I'm so in love with it. Can't wait to watch it grow.
Just bought a juvenile from an expo today. I’ve been doing research on tarantulas for about a year now so I’m happy to have my first one
I did the same thing. I watched videos for like a year.. what a wealth of videos there is online. I cannot believe it took me soo long to see them. G. Pulchripes was never a T that I was too crazy about but after growing a little thing to now around 2" it might very well be my favorite out of my dozen or soo Ts that I've acquired. My other Ts act like spiders. I swear my G. Pulchripes is operating at a higher lvl of consciousness. I swear it has thoughts and plans.
I’m thinking this is going to end up being my first tarantula. They’re gorgeous and I think I need one in my life.
You should get one, they are calm and grow quick in my opinion. And after they molt they have cool colors, I’ve had mine for 5 years already.
Fantastic video! I subbed!! Picked one of these (hopefully) gals from fearnottarantulas as well, at around 3/4 of an inch, and she is now about 4-5 inches. She's a beast, loves to wreck her cage, and cover anything above the substrate in web!! Rehoming her today, which brought me to your video. Even if you know what you are doing, it's always a good idea to watch a new video from a respectable source to refresh your brain on ideas, etc. You provided that, so thanks so much, keep doing what you do!!
I saw this and just had to order one! They will be my first ever tarantula and I can’t wait thank you!
I LOVE your videos. Im in the UK but I find them so informative and well done. Lots of clear explanations
I just got a little Chaco golden knee and I am already in love! It’s my second T (started with an H gigas which is a weird story but that’s a whole tangent haha) and I love them so much already!
i really love your quality content and superb editing! keep it up!
This tarantula is the one I will be buying. Thank you. This will be my first tarantula. I can't wait to get him or her.
Getting a grown on sling on Friday as a first T - can't wait to watch it (slowly) grow 😊 thanks for another great video
had a g rosea for awhile then she died, took me awhile to get a new T but yesterday i went to a local pet shop and picked up a a chaco sling. too early to determine the sex but im just so excited to watch it grow and have a T again. your channel made me want to get a new one. i appreciate all your knowledge you spread brother 🤟🏼
Also. Great choice for this week! These are at the top of my wishlist!!! Loved the molt footage!
thank you
Finding your channel has been a cool ride, I just got into Tarantula and Ants myself, so this has helped a lot and also gave me a better understanding of what you guys do
Thanks a lot! I am glad you have found the content helpful. Makes all the hard work worth it. :)
Chaco was my first T. One on my favorites since it grew enough to not stay in its burrow 24/7.
I got one Grammostola pulchripes. Thank you for the tips, love your channel !
Thanks so much i have gone from fear to owner (and hundreds of hours of knowledge). I have made my first order today that includes this one, the Chromapelma Cyanopubescens and the Tliltocatl albopilosum in a special. You made a fan for life here. By the way i purchased from the same store just by pure chance. 👃🕷🕸
Great Video !!
I just got a well sized one from a local mom n pop pet store. It seemed to have been forfeited by an owner who maybe couldn’t keep it. It’s a good 3-4 in and I paid 50$. It hasn’t hooked or anything and gosh am I excited to see it grow more!!!
This is one of my favorite tarantula species. You described it perfectly. I have a juvenile female that is in pre-molt now and I am waiting for months to mold. I miss how she was able to catch even large discoid roaches. However, although they don’t kick hairs, hairs can be detached easily when you handle them. I discovered the hard way that I have a bad reaction to hairs of these species. My hands can itch for a few days, and then soft parts of skin may exfoliate after a few days. So, although it is very beautiful and docile, I cannot handle it for long. I don’t have the same problem with other large species, like Aphonopelma chalcodes.
Just picked up my first ever T when I held the baby I was hooked, especially seeing how docile they're!!!!!!
Another awesome Tarantula Tuesday brother, this was my first Tarantula when I started this beautiful and awesome hobby, I started in March of this year. And already have just under 60 Tarantulas. Anyways thank you again, love your vlogs.
You are already up to 60 T's since March! Wow....wont be long til you have caught up with me. They are addictive...i feel you there. They are just so fascinating to watch. That is one of the best part of making these videos...it encourages me to sit with just one species and really look at it closely and appreciate the intricate details of each species through the magnification of a camera lens. It adds a whole new level of appreciation.
Just came across this channel and let me say I am loving it! Great quality and top care guides I think your channel is underated. I just picked up a g.pulcripes recently and and this care guide helped me out alot you have got a new sub😊
Thanks a lot...that is very cool of you to say that. Thanks for subbing and I hope I can continue to earn your views.
Great video Bro. Im new to Tarantulas and this information is really helpful. Greetings From Philippines!!

Getting my Chaco soon 💜 It will be my first tarantula. Cannot wait to learn more every day and get into the hobby 🕷
Really love all your videos!
thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel...it means a lot.
Did you end up getting a Chaco?! How’s he/she doing?
@@cs4870 I did, and 3 other species after that, haha. My Chaco is doing great!
@@theuchuujin7526 Mines a psycho. My OBT's are sitting there like "dude, why are you so angry? You need to relax." haha
Got my 1/4" sling today and am really excited to start taking care of this little guy.
I love my GP ,he( or maybe she) is pretty laid back, and is one of my favorites in my collection.
Nice information video for new in the hobby 💖🕷
I used to have an Antiles Pinktoe. Your video helped me decide on a new T
I'm so excited to have my first Tarantula in the couple of days 😍. I choose Chaco Golden Knee as my first T.

Thank you for this. I've been fascinated with the spiders all my life...I'm ready to start to care for one..I've now made my mind up...this is the species for me..just breathtaking in look and behaviour. Thanks for your expertise. Regards from the UK. 😊
I just acquired a spiderling of this species from another owner that didn’t want it and I look forward to watching it grow in the next years.

Gold knee tarantula
I really like every one of your videos. very informative and cool
Thanks
Got my first tarantula she’s a golden knee Great vid , so happy :)
07:02 hahaha we love your passion bro!!
These guys are one of my favorites. My Adult female hasn't molted in almost 3 yrs. I got her at 1" 6yrs ago. This is the longest she has been in pre-molt. She is also always out and one of my biggest Ts.
No doubt Myria....they take their sweet ole time getting around to molting. When mine last molted...I had pretty much given up on her then turned my head from my computer one day and saw she was starting to molt. It really threw me off because she didnt flip on her back, she was standing up with fer feet on the side of the glass and then just started pulling out of her exoskeleton...lol.
Our first tarantula definitely one of the best for beginners ❤
This video was great! These guys are on my short list of Ts to get next.
Thanks a lot Drew..and thanks for leaving a comment!
Wow. Im new to this channel and I think you are the most underrated tarantula vlogger. Im surprised you dont have a million subscribers. But im sure youll get there. Keep it up! 💪🏼
Thanks a lot my friend...that is very kind of you to say. I really appreciate that! I will definitely keep it up...i think the hardest part is just getting the word out that channel exists...lol. UA-cam algorithms are tricky....but I am just impressed and humbled by the amount of subscribers and views I get right now...so it is all cool :)
Nice work !
This guy deserve my subscription RESPETO!

Fully agree a great spider. Nice video. Will check out your Amazon store.
Dude.. fantastic production quality. Superb knowledge of T's as well. Subbed. Will be setting up a fairly elaborate enclosure for my Chaco(my only T) in the near future. Will definitely send you the link to get your opinion!
thanks for the sub...that means a lot...thank you for the support. I am glad you like the video...and I look forward to seeing your elaborate enclosure!
arriving tomorrow via FedEx overnight from Montreal Canada to here in Alberta Canada ; a 2" female Grammostola Pulchripes ! Just built an enclosure but need your professional opinion. ( We live in the southern part (1 hour north of Montana) of Alberta where it's even more dry. Looks like I'll be taking your advice ( though a little too late regarding the mesh screen top )
We both enjoy your candid, humorous and common sense approach with all things T's. Keep up the good work !
nice video, very good editing and shots of the T
thanks!
What a beauty!! Great vid, Richard.
For next weeks video.....I'm going with H gigas.
(Yeah, I know I seem to be stuck on that species, but there is just so little out there about them.)
thanks a lot my friend! I promise that I am working on an H. gigas video. It is a difficult T for me to get footage of....but it is coming along nicely.
Here from dark den 😎 subbed and notified 👌🕷️🕸️
