I love the way Jim said "Coyoteee!" When the bug beetle hit the screen. The pure happiness of wanting his friend to see something he thought was so cool was awesome.

You know they just had one of their guys tap the back of the screen, right? I'm sure the guy loves his job, but that wasn't passion. Just goofy acting.

Man does Heracross know how to make an entrance. The entire Hercules/Rhino Beetle family are THE COOLEST bugs on the planet no question.

Costa Rica is such a beautiful country. We went on a night tour through the rain forest last year and it was incredible.

I went to Costa Rica for a high school trip for the upperclassmen.
We all had to raise money in order to go.
It was amazing.
I also met my now girlfriend there and we had so much fun.
Lots of hiking and we did a zipline too.
After we came home, we started officially dating.
Costa Rica will always have a place in my heart.
The only downside was it was super hot and humid😅

The fact Coyote got so excited about the beetle and was like “I don’t know what that means but that’s so exciting!” was adorable. I love the fact he was just as excited about Jim and supported him even though he had no idea what type of bug that was.
Even from just the shadow, I instantly recognized the inspiration for one of the greatest Bug Type Pokémon, the mighty Heracross. This was awesome

Coyote and Brave Wilderness team If you do happen to see this comment I just wanted to all you to know I would love to see more videos on beetles. There's so many large ones and smaller but also just as interesting ones. I would love for you guys to talk more about these critters in future videos.
How about a serious about abnormally large insects, reptiles and amphibians? Covers like a certain genus in a species that is much larger than others. So like the Hercules beetle, the hellbender salamander, monitor lizards, Queen Alexandra's Birdwing butterflies, the Hercules moth! Like seriously it would be cool to learn what lareg species there are that we've maybe never heard of like I wonder what the largest ant species is or the largest grasshopper species.
The way his ascent shapes the name Coyote bring me much joy.
I absolutely love how Jim was so excited and happy to just be able to spread his knowledge and teach coyote and us , it just shows how many fascinating things in nature and how good people can be . It warms my heart and I think bugs are just really fascinating even though when I get close to a stinkbug I scream. 😂

When i was a child in the uk in the 80s i used to marvel at the variety of insects in the fields and forests .
It greatly saddens me to say the majority of the insects have now disappeared from my locale .
I suspect pesticides used in farming , the number of butterflies and bees is now a tiny fraction of what it once was .
this video really made me realize how much we need insects. great job on getting Jim to teach us that lesson

We had rhinoceros beetles in North Carolina. They were not as common as swallow-tailed butterflies, but they were big and they were there. They could fly but usually when they hit some thing they couldn't hold onto, they went to the ground.
I love insects so much!! I would LOVE to visit places all over the world and meet all sorts of different insects!
As an avid bug kid, that insect-attracting screen would have excited the heck out of me as a child. I wanted to be an entomologist growing up. 😅

The real life heracross
It is just wild (pun intended) that everywhere you go in Costa Rica, every square kilometer you will find at least 19 different and new species. That is just crazy.

LOVE these kinds of rhinoceros beetles! Actually raising a Eastern Hercules beetle- not quite as large but still a really cool insect, so it is exciting to see some footage of another species. Ty coyote! :D

Thanks for spreading the message of insect biodiversity! I encourage everyone to find a wildflower meadow near you mid summer and take a closer look at blooming flowers. You will be surprised at the sheer diversity of interesting insects.

As a beetle lover that is one awesome bug.
We focus so hard on saving the rain forest not expanding polution. It's like having a studio with a small fire blanket and expanding to a mansion and only keeping that saved fire blanket as means of protecting against a fire. it might help, but you also gotta expand the solution for every square foot of polution
