I've heard lots of great patches for the DM12, but yours are the most unique with lots of good style and interesting sounds.
I've had the Deepmind 6 for about 8 months....its worth the $500 they're going for.
Amazing synth.
That was then, this is now. Not $500 any longer, even at Thomans. This synth is worth a grand or more yet I am glad I could still get a deal on a 12 from Germany.
Great patches & great sound. Thanks for the vid! (& patches)
REALLY GOOD sounding patches
Music is Math! nice one
Some progressions are so damn good.. think im going to buy the deepmind. Never liked the synth but this demo is just sick
Well done! Great sounds & progressions
A lot of tentremoller sounds, awesome skills.
Nicely done!
These are by far the best sounds i've heard for what i need from my Deepmind.Excellent.Please make some more and i will snap them up in a second.
Thanks! There might be a successor some day. But programming the effect section and more complex patches with the mod matrix still gives me the creeps when I think about it 😂
@@limbicbits Lol why?
@@BrockDavisson There are two reasons: Adding certain parameters of the effect engine via the Mod Matrix is a real pain - as you have to dial between lots and lots of modulation targets only to realize that the one you'd like to assign isn't available. Also it's hard to make the effect section shine (not mentioning some really strange phasing issues depending on your routing). Once you've found the sweet spot patches will definitely benefit from it. One could argue that you don't have to add effects to your patches as a lot of people will use external effects anyway. But as there is a very flexible effect engine onboard I always try to see that as a part of the sound design process.
Your channel is fantastic, thanks for all your efforts. I’ll be buying your Waldorf Kyra Techno Patches when my Kyra arrives.
Thanks for this! I have the deepmind 12D and it's an amazing synth, definitely getting the patches!
Thanks for your support. Let me know what you think
I bought the patches and I have to say they are amazing. Every single patch is special. It is not focused on quantity but quality. I bought the patches because I'm new to synthesizer. It is a great inspiration. I feel like there is a lot to explore on that synthesizer.
Thanks! Much appreciated your comment. Have fun with these patches
Great sound design skills with the Deepmind-6, I feel like this synth is full of potential, but hard to program, especially the sequencer section but your video really shows what it is capable of, great work!🎹☕
Thanks! Well, the synth engine by itself is pretty easy to program but maaaaan - making that effects section sitting right really drove me crazy. The sequencer is not so hard to program, though. And with the chord mode you can really do some great things.
Wow. Great patches
Thanks!
Awesome Job, my friend
Thanks!
Cool patches
That arpeggio at 10:03 is simply amazing! These will be mine... :)
I noticed that one too... unfortunately the rest of the patches (80% at least) are just weird sounds that I would never use. The weirder stuff is only rewarding if you came up with it yourself and put it on your record or demo... I would never take one of those weirder patches and feature it on anything I did. So cheesy. "cool sound on your album man... what was that?? Oh, that was one of the presets in my Behringer keyboard". LOL.
@@urwholefamilydied I agree. There are 2-3 sounds that I really like here, and the rest is just let say, not to my taste. Unfortunately that's the case with a lot of the libraries around.
@@kristianborisov5928 then make your own? Lol
NICE
Nice to know patches seem to be swiss made :-)
This sound pack makes me think this synth is pretty sweet
For the price it's being sold it's a good choice for those who like a Juno-esque sound.
Damn this sounds so much cooler than a lot of what I can do with my Minilogue XD. A bit let down by Korg. Can't get much outside of trancey pads and really brittle sounds.
I think the XD is pretty cool and flexible. Here are some patches I've created with it: ua-cam.com/video/7cSClfz9AHU/v-deo.html
The XD is insanely flexible and sounds MUCH better than the Deepmind, IMO.
the cool thing for extra modulations in the minilogue XD are the 2 cv in that can modulate a lot of parameters with precises values . Also , the motion sequencer can add some movements , you record movements and then play above it with no notes on the sequencer and it is a bit like extra lfos (but less cool , for example if you automate pitch bend and then play with the bend in a solo for example , it could reset in the point where it is in the motion if you stop moving the bend)

The one at 1:44 is the coolest, maybe also the chords used :)
Very immersive right?
First patch.... Dave Clark - Wisdom to the wise!
this synth sounds incredible seems like it can pretty much do everything? hah
Hi there! This is awesome patches. What I want to ask : deepmind 6 or poly d? It's difference in sound? Thanks! 🙏🏻
Completely different sound. Poly D is way beefier than the DM6 but it doesn't offer patch storage. DM6 is more on the mellow side sonically. I'd even say that both complement each other quite well. But if you're searching for a synth that covers also the bass range quite well, go for the Poly D. If you want true polyphony, patch storage and create decent pads, Deepmind is the one.
Love the first preset. Is there any chance you can post the settings for just that preset here?
Maybe I'll do a tutorial around this topic in future but it surely will take a while.
How do you create the first dub chord in this video
Awesome patches! I will be buying these shortly, I did notice on a lot of the sounds on this video I hear a tape hiss like sound in the background, is that intentional and part of the sound design of the specific preset or is it a recording issue, or a characteristic of the synth? I like it as it adds that lofi ambience on those types of sounds but was wondering if it can be removed if not desired in some cases?
Maybe. Could you please point me to a concrete example?
@@limbicbits actually the very first preset in the video is the most noticeable from my perspective, especially when the sound is quieter going more into silence, I don’t hear this hiss like sound in any other Deepmind videos that I checked out so that’s why I was thinking it might’ve been a recording issue and maybe not a sound design choice.
@@thirfytash7286 Got ya. It's been a while so my memory might play a trick on me. Well, I do a lot of tape simulation (wherever possible) when creating patches. But in this case, afair, I didn't. I suppose, that the phaser and chorus add some of the noise here so if it bothers you, the first thing I'd do is to turn these effects down.
@@limbicbits thanks for the info! No the hiss doesn't bother me at all, I like that type of sound, and turning off those effects might alter the preset sound and ruin your original sound design idea. But if for some reason it does end up causing an issue in a mix I will try turning those effects off and try to maybe instead re-add them in my daw or I will leave them on and use a noise gate and an eq to minimize it, but like I said I like that hiss sound so I really don't see myself running into that issue, btw keep these presets coming they're fantastic!
@@thirfytash7286 sounds like a plan!
What do u think of this synth?is it quality?is it easy to use?just bought your bs2 patches.i absolutely love that synth that new update with the ability to have a different sound on each key.
Hi Jason, thanks for your comment. BS2 is amazing and gets better with every update. Regarding Deepmind - I've mixed feelings. It is easy to use and if you like Juno 106 type sounds you can't go wring with the price being asked for a deepmind. It is easy to use and sounds quite good.
On the other hand - as soon as you dive deeper into its structure you're missing several things. The effect section seems to cause phase issues when being activated, the envelopes offer lots of possibilities but even with changing the behaviour the "snap" doesn't feel right to me, I'd rather describe it as sticky. But that's more a matter of personal taste.
You've got a fantastic mod matrix but lots of useful parameters for sound design are missing. For example, I really like to assign delay speed to Mod Wheel, LFOs (Wow / Flutter) or even Note Number for Karplus Strong synthesis. It's not a necessary feature but as they've included so many parameters there, I was asking why not include parameters that could really bring sound design forward.
But then we're talking about a good sounding polyphonic synth for under 600 €. It feels a bit cheap, but it seems to be solid. My conclusion would be - if you like that sound, go for it.
@@limbicbits i have a prophet 6 and love it.i havent really got into it to know what it all can do.i used to own a juno 60 and wish i still did.
The prophet 6 is fantastic. I see deepmind way closer to the Juno 106 than to a 60. Maybe that’s also causing my ambivalence - I’ve always liked Juno 6 and 60 but found the 106 a bit meh.
@@limbicbits yeah i bought the boutique ju06a but it just isnt the same as having the real thing.
@@limbicbits what do you mean "sticky"?
Hi Limbic Bits. Could you please confirm the rumour about the DeepMind 6 able to use the effects section in the synth like any other effect i.e. send and return from the synth to a mixer ?
Hi there, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Do you want to use external equipment with deepmind? As it doesn't have audio inputs this won't be possible. Bt maybe I didn't get your question right.
@@limbicbits Oh, ok it doesent have audio inputs, that answers my question. I was hoping to route the FX section to the mixer and use it for guitar and vocals. Thanks anyway
Nice! Is that a mini version of DM or do you just have incredibly huge hands??🙂
😂 it’s a deepmind 6

Got to get me one, but its got to be the 12 missed one the otherday ebay £481 it went for
👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
😊 Any black Friday sale coming up perhaps?
Like every year, I'm struggling with whether or not I should join that bandwagon. But I most likely will pass and keep prices constant.
How did you get so good at sound design ?
Thanks, Marc! I guess, an almost unnatural nerdy passion for Sound Design helps a lot. Reading manuals and literature is a great resource, too. Also, trying to recreate sounds and noises you find interesting is a good way to understand the structures of a sound.
Years and years and years of noodling on synths
@@Bendy2K in a nutshell - yes
heel clicker's delight. If only they knew
Will the patches work on Deepmind 12?
yes
do these patches overwrite the current patches that come with the deepmind?
Yes, per default they would overwrite parts of the last bank. But you can backup your existing patches first and later re-upload them if you like, or choose a different location in case you've been using this bank for your own creations. It's also described in the installation manual
@@limbicbits just got my deepmind and do not like the way the presets are organized, it seems pretty haphazard disorganized everything is everywhere.
@@xisotopex Try to use the editor. Although I'm not a big fan of it and it surely has its flaws you can reorganize your patches there relatively easily.
@@limbicbits well I just got it and havent learned to program it yet, just surfing the presets, and it seems everything is all over the place. does behringer have a list of all the deepmind presets somewhere?
do these also work on deepmind 12?
Yes
how many patches in total does this bank have?
Hi, it has 58 patches plus two effect programs (Dub Delay and Shimmer Reverb)
How many presets does it have?
The patch bank comes with 68 patches plus two effect presets (shimmer reverb and dub delay)
Are the otputs noisy????
It's got some noise on the outputs but nothing unusual with analog synths

Not really . Anything in the demo that made you think that? I’m curious
@@limbicbits I was actually confused about what I was referring to. The stuff that starts around 01:30 reminds me of this, ua-cam.com/video/7DfjhW9LJrQ/v-deo.html, and some other stuff found throughout this double CD ua-cam.com/video/1nDgo7UrIKs/v-deo.html.

That's what I head.
USD $20 is too expensive for only 58 patches
I’m so shallow - this thing sounds great but it’s so butt ugly...like what’s up with that knob and the office furniture wood panels.
Everyone has its own taste but I have to agree. The design doesn’t speak to me too much either
