THIS MOD IS OBSOLETE, I HAVE BETTER ONE: ua-cam.com/video/d84VNKB9sZg/v-deo.html
This one video makes you a legend in my eyes. Your video was recommended and thankf god it was, I went straight out got a similar ball, cut it down, put it in place and watch my lap-times drop….massively 6 10ths quicker at Suzuka with more time to come - thanks for taking the time to make this video my friend 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Thank you! I'm happy to help, I had the same experience. Huge difference in lap-times.
Can you tell me what kinda ball you purchased please?
@@mookallen-thehub3999 same
You can also use old rubber flip flops, most flip flops have softer rubber surface then have a thicker rubber sole.
I just did this mod along with swapping the springs around and it worked perfectly. Used a rubber baseball that was probably fifteen to twenty years old lol, cut it in half and shoved a screwdriver through it, then pushed a zip tie through so i could secure it in place to the conical mod bracket. It has a perfect progressive ramp up in feel and with the sensor so I don't even have to mess with the software, it just works.
Thanks for the video bro, I went out and bought a similar ball which was actually a strong dogs ball from pet shop, great result 👏
Es un mod buenísimo. Muchas gracias, amigo. Eres un genio.
thanks Sim Racing Pal, i just tried this same mod with a ball i just bought at the pet store and it's much much better than the default mod!
I'm going to try this! thanks
You sir, saved me $100+. Absolute legendary video
Happy to help :)
Thanks, dude. Very cool, a lot better :)
Glad to help!
I use a piece of foam used for protecting packages. Cut out small squares big enough to stuff down in the hole behind the pedal. Works great but can come out sometimes with use. Can’t wait to upgrade to load cell pedals in the future.
Yes, the real load cell break is much better. I did upgraded to T-LCM and it is amazing. But this mod was working for me with no issue for a long time.
I use one of my wife's tear drop shaped make up sponges and it gradually gets more resistance the farther you push. Been using it almost 3 years. And a 3 pack costs less then $10 CND.
ok, now send me other half of the ball
:D
Just got it yesterday. Dam the brake feel is terrible 😂 thankx for the mod suggestion!
No problem 👍
My question is if the rod on other side pokes through and damages pedal. Would that be possible? Just got my first setup today. Could not figure what this rubber cone was for thank you for the video
Thanks a lot, mate! I had to sell my cockpit and CSL Elite pedals because me and my wife are working from home since the pandemic started and got a T3PA for cheap. The stock cone mod is useless. May I ask you something? What's the diameter of the pet ball? Thanks in advance!
Hi! It is 6cm.
@@SimRacingPal Thanks.
Hey man! Can you send me a link about the tennis ball you purchased? I cant seem to find one like this, only ones with air in the middle :(
Sorry man, I found that ball around the house because we had a dog. Try the pet store. I don't have the link, maybe others could help.
thanks to you my best lap time in monza is 2.2 seconds faster
This white ball is made by "India rubber" right?
Thanks! I'll give it a try. Wat is the diameter of this ball when going to a pet petshop. Greets 🤟
It's like a tennis ball size :)
@@SimRacingPal That makes it a lot easier :) Thanks dude If you like i wil share my experience with a non tennis ball (but in size it is) but without fur in a couple of weeks or so. Waiting for the pico 4 to arrive first. So hyped incl. your mod btw 👍
Was anyone able to find a link to buy a similar ball through Amazon?
I bought mine from my Walmart store. They come in a package of 6. They are yellow rubber foam.
I think loadcell is better because profiler iracing take weight pedal for the efficacity of brake :/ but i like too pedal potentiometre but that not fast its better tlcm
Load cell is better, I have T-LCMs. I don't use potentiometer pedals anymore. But this break mod is very close to load cell feel from my experience.
Tbh I thought it was a mushroom on the thumbnail lmao. The mod is great, but wouldn't say that it's drift-friendly
I don't drift so you are probably right :)
The next mission is to find the best type of rubber will work best, And I only have some pencil runners on the table, lol, I upgarded from a Ligitech because I wasn't getting faster, I was jsut staying at one level, I didn't know why, Until I got the T300 GT RS, Total difference, In fact I would even say the extra 100 pounds is worth the 100 pounds, Coz with the Logitech you will stay at a certain speed, Or lap time, I only had the T300 for a few days 3rd day I think, And already I can see that I am going to get faster lap times, the only problem I have now is braking, I am finding heel to toe difficult using the T300 pedals, It isn't just me I hope, lol, But yeah I needed to change the wheel and coz I Sim race in VR anyways, No way will I got back to the TV screen unless I had to, But after busting AMS 2 in VR using just a Quest 2 as well, The Quest 2 is brilliant for the price by the way, With Virtual Desktop on Steam, Unless you got a super duper fast internet connection Virtual Desktop is clumpy with out the cable linked to PC, Or use a Router like a TP-Link AX3000 AX55 Archer, Wifi-6, Brilliant Router by the way, The TP-Link Router is giving me AMS 2 multiplayer in amazing gameplay, Hardly any or No latency, The wheel in my hands is instant to the wheel in AMS 2, I am blown away how much a difference having a decent Router does for online Gaming and Steam in general...
But yeah the T300 is going to make me a Faster Sim Racer than I would with the Logitech, And yes I believe a High end Set Up will allow you to be a faster Sim racer, Than the dude who got a really low end Set Up, Coz just in the 2 days I have used the T300 I am seeing myself control the car a lot better, I can feel the back end swing out a lot faster, So I bet a DD wheel and Load cell pedals will let you become a faster Sim Racer, And I say LET you not make you, Practice anything and you will get good at it, So having high end set up will give you a better ground to practice on, More motivation, To get in a bad ass sim rig before a crap ass sim rig, lol I will say though the extra 100 pounds is worth paying if it is possible, When I began Sim racing I was using a PS4 Pro, And the Logitech wheel, So the Logitech is great for stepping into Sim Racing, But if you plan on taking it extra serious then pay the extra for the T300 or a DD wheel, The Cummus I read peoples cammus wheel starting smoking, That would be even more dangerous in VR, You would feel heat before you see it, Plus something where a few units have started smoking can't be good, So yeah because I Sim Race in VR the look of the wheel isn't important, And I can feel al lot more detail using the T300 than the Logitech, That gear feeling too, As well as having to flick or help the Logitech to Center when leaving a corner, the T300 got none of that, I can see why Drifters like the T300... It is a great wheel...
If anyone is getting great results from the Cammus wheel let me know, lol, I am curious, lol..
....
Does anyone know the size of the bolt that holds down the T3PA conical brake mod mount? It was not included with my peddles.
Thrustmaster tech support is none existent.
It's an M4 screw and 25mm long.
How am i supposed to get 100% brake power with this mod?
You have to push the pedal past the 50% with the mod in the calibration tool and you will get 100%.
How do i remove rubber cone pls help
Did u find out how
You just unscrew it using your hand… lefty loosie
i can only get it to 40 percent pressure when adding a ball like yours :S
You have to push the pedal with the ball installed past the 50% and you will get full 100% pressure :)
@@SimRacingPal i push as hard as I can, even the rig comes out of the floor but can get it past 50% tops. It’s super stiff i like the feeling but I’m missing half of the input like this kind of hard for trail braking
@@tamboleo Open the control panel settings for the wheel where you can see the pedal inputs, if I push the pedal with the ball past the 50% it automatically set it to 100%. But you have to do it everytime you connect the pedals. Maybe you have very stiff ball. I have no problem to push it past 50%.
@@SimRacingPal Thanks for the help man, in the control panel i just see it up until 40, and 50 if i just smash it. Do you use any other software for calibrating it other than the control panel from Thrustmasters? (When you had these pedals)
@tamboleo No there is no other SW for calibration, just the control panel. You have to push it to 51% :) Or find softer ball. Or maybe cut little bit off from the one you have.
Or you can just adjust the mod to make the brake hit it right away so you get the same effect but even nicer and stiffer. I don’t think you’re using it right
Instructions unclear. I used a squeeky ball and now it squeeks every time I hit the brake and the dog bites my foot 😂
In all seriousness though, thanks for the idea, I'll give it a go.
Just wait, I'm finishing a video with even better mod that feels like a T-LCM brake :)
@@SimRacingPal I'm glad amazon accept returns then. I don't have a dog but just bought 3 balls 😂
*Brake
OMG yes thank you! :)
No disrespect to you tuber but simply replace the spring with a compression spring with more resistance its a game changer . Just waited 3 weeks for mine from China but worth the wait messing with these mods . 2.63 shipped from China WOW
WTF?? 🤔
Get a job
You had a cold bro stop with the covid bs
LMFAO
bro doesn't believe in covid 💀
@@amethystcairns3430 and you believe that every single time someone gets sick it's coof. If that where the case it would be a miracle sickness. Pretty much cured the world of everything
I agree.
Are you serious? You don't even show us how to use the mod that comes with the pedals, you just want to show us you using your own contraption?
Thrustmaster junk.
