  • Thrustmaster has been one of the leading wheel manufacturers for sim racing since its very beginning. Over the years their wheels have come a long way and seen some major changes, enhancements and better performance. With that said the pedals that come with the wheels have left much to be desired. This even includes their best pedals and an upgrade to their wheel sets the T3PA Pro pedals.
    The BF Electronics Load Cell mod for the T3PA Pro pedals is the type of upgrade that Thrustmaster has needed. Perhaps even the type of mod they should of built themselves. Is the BF Electronics the savior of the Thrustmaster pedals?
    This is the full review including the installation process of the BF Electronics Load Cell mod for the T3PA Pro pedals. In this video Shaun tells you all about it and also shows what it takes to modify thee pedals. After that he takes it out for a spin and tells you how it really preforms.

    So I got the bfelectronics T3PA Pro Load Cell kit. I must say that I really like it. Has it made me a better Sim Racer? Well, I consider myself a Sim Enthusiast, not quite a Sim Racer, yet. This is a secondary hobby to me. An experienced Sim Racer once told me that the only thing that can make one a better Sim Racer is “Seat Time”!
    Anyway, to compare the bfelectronics T3PA Pro Load Cell kit to the Ricmotech or Bodin T3PA Pro Load Cell kits. Well, the Ricmotech & Bodin kits provide a stiff pedal post installation (like pushing on a wall), with some dead zone upon initial pedal depression. The bfelectronics T3PA Pro Load Cell kit provides use of almost all of the original T3PA Pro brake pedal throw, a slightly stiffer pedal feel (compared to the original feel before installation), and you can dial in your desired level of sensitivity, or dead-zone.
    Lastly, you will have to get used to the amount of pressure you apply to your brake, there will be no Brake Mod crutch to save you from brake lockup. After installing the bfelectronics T3PA Pro Load Cell kit, you will not be able to use your Thrustmaster Compression Spring or Conical Rubber Brake Mods, if you wanted to.
    The bfelectronics T3PA Pro Load Cell kit feels good, it was easy enough to install, and I am happy with my purchase.
    Cheers!

    For me also the cheap 3drap mod made a HUGE difference. But with a brake this strong in my opinion you also need to upgrade the gas and clutch pedals because with shoes I couldn't feel those two

    Looks interesting. If it also works with a T300RS and PS4Pro I might get one and try it. One concern I would have though is a very heavy brake pedal slows me down sometimes, I removed my conical brake mod recently so I could brake faster for time trial record chasing on Dirt Rally 2.0. I also found some vehicles on GT Sport very difficult to drive fast with a heavy brake pedal force.

    Instead of all that time and laborious stuff, (speaking of that) do you see that bubble wrap that came with the "mod"? I just "STUFF" that stuff in my pedals at different densities and amounts and create the same linear effect. (I have been for 1 1/2 years) Obviously, I don't do that on my way more expensive PC rig. I "rig" up better "stuff" on my real rig but, just stuffing different bubble wrap....uh....uh...."wraps" up the time on spent on my reasonably priced T3PA pedals. (Which, I wish I hadn't put in F1 style from purchase) ;)

    • @MrThamahn
      @MrThamahn 4 роки тому

      @Shambles1980TRealOne - Yes it is 3D printed, however, until Thrustmaster gives us new pedals with Load Cells, the Modder Community is all that we have.
      As far as the price, compared to the Load Cell Mod solutions from simracingsolutions (£99.99), Bodin ($99.99), & Ricmotech ($169.99), the bfelectronics Pro Loadcell Kit (US$100.00) is not too bad. Further, it comes with something that those others do not, a dial for sensitivity and/or dead-zone.
      Lastly, I am a confirmed customer, and I can confirm for you that I can brake better now than I ever could with my potentiometer-based sensor. No, 3D Printed Mods may not be beautiful. Quality of finish on 3D printed parts vary. However, the device is there to provide functionality. All that I can add at this point is that I am happy with my purchase.
      Cheers!

    • @MrThamahn
      @MrThamahn 4 роки тому +2

      @Shambles1980TRealOne - I can only agree with part of that statement. I do not have a 3D printer, the knowledge, or desire to do this myself. I could have built my home, my vehicle, and I could Doctor on myself. Yes, those are extreme examples, but you know what I am saying. I do not mind spending money on things that other people build (as you see). If you built something that I liked & wanted, I would pay you too. I totally get what you are saying. However, in the end, life is short, I can afford it, and I am VERY happy with my purchase. Nevertheless, I heard your point clearly.

      @Shambles1980TRealOne Not really. Marketing, designing, compatibility, paying employees and the extremely limited market for high end driving simulator pedals. Thank you for reading my comment on a reply after 4 months. That shows you the small market in "literal" reality.

    • @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO
      @UhhhhhnooOOo00oO 4 роки тому

      @Shambles1980TRealOne Now you have annoyed me. I have spent and own 100 times more equipment for driving sims than you. I was purchasing them before you were born. I'm 100% sure of that. The average meat bag doesn't even know what a load cell is. They say....are there pedals? Oh...cool. That's crazy. Now, your talking to someone with a hydraulic rig and load cells up the Yin Yang. High end driving or flight sim shit isn't where the profit is. If you owned a successful business, like I do and spent money on frivolous shit like I did, instead of giving the money to charities, then you'd actually have a minuscule idea about how the real world works. The profit margin and demand on high end pedals isn't enough for any company to sell these on a mass scale. A load cell would impact sales in almost no manner whatsoever. Take the load cell CSL Elite kit from Fanatec......it is 155.43 USD without shipping or tax and requires the Elite Pedals. The Ricmotech is 139.99 USD plus shipping and Tax. THAT IS MORE THAN THE THRUSTMASTER T3PA GOD DAMN PEDALS COST! T3PA PRO LOAD CELL IS 169.99 PLUS SHIPPING AND TAX! -Stop already. Get your head out if your ass. Now, if you say, "The cost to them is pennies." First of all, BS. Second of all, even if it was, ask yourself why they charge that much. Humans aren't beating their meat to buy these and they must be hugely marked up.

      I believe that the TGT and the T300 GT are sold with the regular T3PA pedals. This mod is for the T3PA Pro Pedals. I believe that you will need the regular Thrust-master T3PA load-cell kit. more information about those are on the BF Electronics website.

      @@MrThamahn They are not regular T3PAs. You can even see a pic of all three of them in this video at 0:44. Those ones on the left are the ones that come with the TGT and the T300 GT. The ones on the right are "regular" T3PAs.

      @@hueysharapova7175 What are the differences between the standard T300 and the T300 GT Edition pedals? You get the 3-pedal T3PA set with "New Pedal Faces"… And that’s it. Visually, the new pedal faces are a nice upgrade from the standard T3PA faces, with clean lines and brushed aluminum.
      I understand the mix-up, however, Shaun does state that this mod is for the T3PA Pros (0:48).

    • @hueysharapova7175
      @hueysharapova7175 4 роки тому

      @@MrThamahn I mean yea, it is true that the only thing different is pedal faces, but by that logic, wouldn't everything be compatable with all 3? The "Pro" set is just a backing mount for inverted. Regular T3PAs can actually be inverted, but you can't swap the pedals left to right. All the third party stuff I see is for regular T3PA and Pro, but the new version is really important because the TGT is the best wheel for Gran Turismo, which happens to be the only racing game with an online community, and the T300 GT is just a great deal right now assuming it doesn't break.
