  • Thrustmaster T300 Review - READ PINNED COMMENT // I'M Returning It - Ferrari Integral Racing Wheel Alcantara Edition - I'm unboxing the the Thrustmaster T300 Ferrari Integral Racing Wheel Alcantara Edition. This is Ferrari style wheel based on the real EVO style with a special wrapping. The set also comes with a three pedal set. It's a belt driven wheel that offers nice force feedback and executes it all at a very quite noise level. It's a great wheel for Gran Turismo 7, iRacing and all other sims. It supports PS5, PS4 and PC.

    Hey All! Quick update here. Since recording this video I have had the T300 overheat on me causing the force feedback to weaken while it happens. While lowering the settings will prevent this, it's not something I want to have to worry about. Currently looking at the TGT 2.

      If the price is good, I might look into this. Seems a big step up from Logitech g29. Bet the wheel is much smoother and the suede looks really nice.

      I use the T-GT. From what I can tell from reviews the difference is minimal. So if it's considerably cheaper I'd go for that one. It hasn't skipped a beat since I bought it Jan 2020. And it has a huge fan so no overheating ever.

    This is also my first wheel. The biggest tip I found is to hold the mode +start button until the light flashes 2 times and it forces the fan always on. Helps with ffb over longer races. By the time the fan kicks on its usually too late on auto mode

    Adding some Magnets to the shifter paddles is a very worthwhile upgrade and quite cheap. Also, wear gloves if you want to keep the wheel looking nicer for longer.

    @the casual racing gamer I've been granturismo ing since 1997. Still have all the main granturismos. PS2 through PS5. I've used Logitech, thrustmaster t500, t300rs, and now the Fanatec DD1 with the V3 pedals. I'm telling you all this for a short summary of my experience. The t300rs is a good wheel. I've seen many opinions on many different wheels. I recommend the DD1 for it's compatability range. PC, Xbox and PS. Something to think about for you.

    Nice new wheel! the T300 was my first wheel and it got me through some amazing times! One thing though: Trying this out on GT7 for the force feedback probably not the greatest, would like to see a video of you trying the wheel ffb in something like AMS2 or iracing where the ffb is better than GT7. The other good thing is if you are not happy with the wheel you are no a part of the TM ecosystem and you can put whatever rim of theirs you want on the base, there are some great TM rims out there! Good vid enjoy.

      @@thecasualracinggamer Yeah, I agree it's a great starter wheel. I have been using the T150 for like 3 years now. I upgraded the pedals to the TLCM pedals and the Thrustmaster gated shifter last year when GT7 launched so I might as well take the next step.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  Рік тому +1

      @JoshBlock Yeah, once price gets closer with the two it makes the decision harder. The T300 for me was still at a price vs reward that made it worth it to me then going to the next step up.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  Рік тому +1

      @CSTBFO_jad It's the no console support that kills the Thrustmaster DD for me. Also, looked the Moza R5 but would need a 3rd party device to use it for the PS5 as it is not natively supported and then would not be able to use my T-LCM pedals with the R5. The T300 for me came it at the sweet spot price vs features and also being able to use my pedal set.

    Im in the first 30 days of tgt2 wheel with tlcm pedals. Wheel is great I got open box discount and it looked like it was never hooked up by the way the cords were. The transducer works great on gt7. Im only playing gt7 on psvr2 so the gt2 was a no brainer being 100 off with open box. 6nm is plenty for me for ffb. Gt2 is really smooth and plenty of torque but its already at direct drive price range.

    • @thecasualracinggamer
      @thecasualracinggamer  Рік тому

      Thing is, is a 5 Nm direct drive wheel better then a belt drive said to be around 6 Nm. I think you would need to be looking at the 8 Nm and up wheels which willl be a nice little jump in price.

    Any racing wheel that you see in a list of "best entry level racing wheels" is enough for any casual gamer to experience a huge boost in immersion when jumping from a controller. I purchased a Logitech DFP in 2006 that was an official PlayStation 2 Gran Turismo 4 wheel. It was sooo basic, made of rubber, with shift buttons instead of shift paddles, but it had two pedals, 900 degree rotation and force feedback, and that was just enough to blow my mind. I bought it for 90€ new and used it mainly for PC simracing. It's 17 years old and still works like the first day. If it was compatible with the PS5 I'd still use it. And it's compatible with Windows 11! I ordered a second hand G923 just so I can play GT7 with it. I like having all those buttons on the wheel to navigate the game, and also they're really handy for PC sims. I hope it arrives soon, its been on its way for a week now 🥺

Other than for a light workout theres no reason to have the FFB up that high. Iv settled on about 6 for FFB and sensitivity on 8

      The T248 is a hybrid belt and gear driven system like the T150, just newer. The T300 is a pure belt driven system so it will be the better way to go. Smoother, better feedback and options to purchase different style wheels and swap them. I think you are paying for the digital screen on the T248 more then anything else.
