To be honest, it makes me wanna crave for McDonald's based on the video title. Of course I'll buy it if I do get a day off on my workplace. You earned a sub
I find that mornings are the best time to work. Especially during weekdays there isn’t a lot of traffic and less annoying customers and long orders since everyone just wants to get to work or school.
I'm curious: how do you know how much to make of a certain item? I imagine everything has a short time before it gets soggy/hard/etc. Do you have certain rules of thumb depending on the day of the week and time, or do you just go by feel?
It's normally how busy the drive thru is, but if there is no cars in the drive thru we aren't continuously dropping baskets because that's what causes them to get soggy, And for fries it tells how much baskets too drop before the monitor turns red. Idk if that answered your question or not.
Normally everything like fries to McChickens to burger Pattie’s have a certain amount that you can cook at once. So McChickens would be about 3 or 4 per basket. Patties about 7 per grill side. Depending on the day and hour you start to notice when you will need to cook a lot more of what you need. So a busy Friday you will need lots and lots of fries because everyone orders them. And they will be gone before they get soggy. But on a Wednesday you don’t need to drop a lot because there won’t be as many fry orders. Same goes for meat products
At my store, we have a screw that tells us how much fries we are taking. Otherwise, everything is by feel. Fries have seven minutes before they cannot be served. All quarter pounder meet is cooked to order. 10:1 meat can last for fifteen minutes. Crispy chicken will hold for an hour. McChicken is 20 minutes I believe as well as the McNuggets. Our fish is held for 30. When I work our grill and fryer station, I cook fish to order most of the time and try to keep two trays of nuggets, regular meat, and McChicken at all times. I also like to have six crispy chicken throughout the day, and make a new one anytime one is taken. The 10:1 meat cooks so fast, that we can make those to order when it isn’t too busy. So much of it is based off feel and experience, and later at night people are hard to predict.
