It's putting pre-made meat in buns, whilst maintaining a MODERATELY clean workspace. Remember these people do this, because they prioritised messing about in education, instead of actually doing as they're told.
I gotta say this channel has been the best advertisement for McDonald's in years. It always makes me want some. Definitely eaten a lot more McD's since I started following 🤣 I love seeing everything come together and it also gives me a greater appreciation for the people making it all.
i just want to genuinely thank anyone who works in fast food and values their job and cares about giving customers good meals. It makes all the difference, especially with the prices of things right now, the last thing you want to do is get off a long day at work and pay 10$ for a meal thats been sitting out or is completely incorrect. your efforts may seem like they're unnoticed but i promise you although you can't see it, when you give someone some good fast food they're definitely happy campers lol
When I worked in fast food, I noticed a customer's demenour was really make or break. If they were nice, hook them up a little bit (extra nuggets, big serving of fries, etc). If not, do the bare minimum, appearance doesn't matter. It was also refreshing when you heard someone being polite over the drive thru mic.

I made 7 dollars an hour, wanted more, so I learned new talents and new jobs, got more money, left walmart, became a forklift operator went from 9 an hour to 17 an hour, got knowledge to be a cnc machine operator, made 18 an hour, left my state, got my cdl and now I'm at 30 an hour. Its called climbing that work ladder.

Haven't been able to get the Steak Egg Cheese Bagels locally for a couple of years. It was my favorite breakfast item. A coworker would make mine with double steak and egg when I worked at McDonald's.

The packaging seems to be a real bottle neck in the process + where inventory is vs where it is needed. I can see a few ways to make this more efficient and simple. Thanks for the good time though!
This is just assembly. When I worked at Mcd’s we had to run both grill, wall and assembly. 24 regs and 18 quarters was a standard drop on the meat, and the buns were toasting while the meat was down. Toaster would buzz, bun tops would be on the tray to table, mustard, ketchup, onion pickle, cheese. Tray to grill, meat on the tops of buns and the heals would be last out of the toaster top. 3 people could run grill, 4-5 when really busy. We would have 3x the amount of food going out as is shown here, and it would be like that for an hour and a half at lunch, same for supper. Then the random baseball team on two buses would roll in.

Loved to be out there during the summer, changing trash and picking up trash from the grounds and see 2 or 3 buses roll in. I would just go to the next trash container and keep changing bags. The salaried manager so upset she sent someone out to get me, and asked what I was doing. I said I was doing what I was told by the other salaried manager. I ran grill not long after that, and I can say, Steven wrapping skills are not bad at all.

Those steak, egg, and cheese bagels are the bomb. Glad I had a chance to try them when my location had them briefly. When I lived in Cali, they had these huge chorizo, egg, and potato burritos at the McDonalds. That was the early 2000s. Now those were were soooo good and tasty.
I haven't had a Steak, Egg, and Cheese Bagel in over 20 years. I used to get two every morning before work with a large coffee and a cinnamon roll when I lived in San Jose, California, but they discontinued them around 2002 if I remember correctly. I never understood why they would take such an amazing item off their menu. I'm in Central Oregon now and I tweet them all the time to bring them back.

I love the biscuit bacon egg and cheese. I don't get up early enough to go get it. If I did I probably would buy a ton for the week LOL and eat them in 2 days.
Lol I told my wife the same and she looked like I was crazy. I think it's because there's something comforting in that everything is the same and there's hardly any problem solving. I've been in the corporate world the past ten years and deal with unique problems almost every day. The repetition would get to anyone after a while but that's also what's appealing to me.
Note , ur local McDonald’s is nothing like this , mine is much louder and understaffed , so I’m doing everything, the cooking + trying to keep up with the rush , on top of getting yelled at to go faster then even what he is doing here

Get an Egg McMuffin with an extra piece of Canadian bacon and put that on the steak bagel with a round egg. Wish that was a custom option to add on included on the app.
While not a fan of the steak I do love the Bagel sandwhiches. I'm glad they're back and I hope they stay. Though they should put a 3rd strip of bacon on them imo :)
What market are you in? Because I’ve lived in Savannah, Georgia, Las Vegas, Honolulu, and am currently in Anchorage, and I haven’t seen bagels at McDonald’s since the mid ‘90s! They need to be national again!
Do you just keep cooking stuff right up to the end of breakfast and throw whatever is left away, or do you cook less stuff as breakfast time comes to a close?
We cook less food so that there's not alot of waste leftover..for example, for today's breakfast waste I had 3 biscuits and 4 round egg left over..I'll do most items made to order at the very end so my waste won't be too bad.. 👍
I must say that I have had McDonald's in many different countries and far more often in the U.S. than I probably should have. But once I turned 45, my body couldn't handle it anymore...not even occasionally or rarely. It reeked havoc on my GI system (and cholesterol and body fat and glucose and triglycerides). I'm 54 now and my bloodwork and overall health has vastly improved. In all fairness, that pertains to all fast food not just Mickey D's. This new upcoming generation ("Z" or whatever letter it is now) seems obsessed on healthier food options. I'm seeing this more often in the grocery outlets and online. I'd like to see fast food restaurants move in that direction...not entirely, but a few options. And no, "Plant Burgers" are not an option! Still, I love Steve's vids and will continue watching.
I noticed that sometimes you have a hard time getting the cheese slices apart. you should put the slices in a star pattern so each slice is sticking out at the corner. It would be much easier.
I’m exhausted after 15 minutes. Imagine doing this for 8 hours…. Much respect to all fast food workers!
It’s not necessarily the work that’s exhausting it the heat and pace and usually the cleaning tasks along the way

Yes. Do they have a par sheet to know how much to refill in that tray or do they fill it to the max each time?

In Poland, We don't have bagels, but we have wraps :)
