- I will explain how to easily grow pumpkin sprouts at home. I will start with extracting the seeds from the pumpkin, soaking them and harvesting. I will also use them in an easy but delicious salad.

A trick: you can watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Damari Moshe yea, been using Flixzone for months myself =)

@Damari Moshe Yea, I've been using flixzone for months myself :D
I've heard of Alfalfa, Mung Bean, Broccoli sprouts but never Pumpkin sprouts, definitely sprouting some pumpkin seeds and the dressing, that is tradition oil, lemon, salt and pepper, you remind me of a UA-cam friend I had here years ago, CuteCatFaith, may she rip having passed in January 2015, living in France with her french husband, she said it was either olive oil, lemon salt and pepper or vinegar, lemon, salt and pepper. Thank you for sharing Easy Life, 👍and greetings👋from central Mexico.🤠
WOW! Those sprouts are absolutely MAGNIFICENT! Cheers!
Thank you for posting this video. I was going to roast my seeds but they started sprouting and I didn’t know if I could eat the sprouts, until now! 👍
The worst thing that can happen is that you wait for too long, and the sprouts become bitter 👀
That looks like a butternut squash to me.... But thank you for sharing the idea. They look fabulous!
I think Europeans call all winter squash "pumpkin"
im in Australia and have NEVER seen a stove with an electrical outlet - brilliant - good video too
I just search this from last two days, because I have lots of sweet pumpkins seed and want to eat it's microgreens but no information about sweet pumpkins microgreens. finally I have gotten your informative video. thank you so much.
I am glad that video is helpful
who knew?! They look so tasty!
I knew I'm not the only one who thought of this.. hahaha!! Thanks for making this.
Please upload more of this..
Your salad looked beautiful, but what did it taste like? I heard that pumpkin micro-greens are bitter, did the lemon and salt take the edge off? I guess I'll find out in a few days myself, as I'm soaking some pumpkin seeds for micro-greens right now 😊
This is a great ideia.
excellent. . have never used pumpkin sprouts. thank you.
Always welcome
Thank u I had some sprouts and didn't know how to use them thanks
Wow❤ so cool. I have hull less pumpkin seeds, I’m going to do this with.
That is a winter squash called Waltham butternut squash, I heard him say “pumpkin.” But I’m sure you all knew that already! 😊 I also thought I was going to see you place the germinated seeds in the ground. Haha
They are known as butternut pumpkins in other parts of the world 🙂
In Canada, we call them peanut squash. My fav. Thanks for the great info! I'm going to add some avocado.
Butternut squash is what we all it in Quebec
Am I the only one who thought he was gonna plant them???
I thought the same
Ha

Me too 🤣🤣
I felt like I was seeing a mother kill her kids ... But this is cool
Прекрасно, ждём видео о том, что их можно жарить. Ярик молодец.
I followed this to the letter and ended up with beautiful microgreens. Sadly they are the most bitter plants I ever put in my mouth. Please consider that before you get started. They are very healthy.
Today I have thought of growing pumpkin sprouts wondering if people do it and here is your video! Thank you!
Do you have a video about growing onion sprouts? If not, could you please film one?
Warmest regards from Moscow ♥️
I am growing 3 pumpkins for meat and seeds for growing microgreens in the winter. I have also harvested 50 mammoth sunflowers for seeds for growing microgreens and as feed for my chickens. Plus I have potatoes and sunchokes and dried chives and scallions that I have grown. I will also grow mung bean, lentil, mustard, quinoa, amaranth, pea, broad bean ... microgreens this winter. I am freezing my apples, pears, and grapes that I harvested this year. No more vegetables or fruits from the supermarket this winter. LOL Try to cook your microgreens with scrambled eggs. They taste perfect. I use hand crushed sun dried half composted tree leaves as my growing medium. It is perfect for any microgreens, especially peas and broad beans. No fungus gnat.
Wow. 👏👏👏Amazing....delicious salad...💚✌
Great video! thanks for the great idea. :))
You are welcome, it is so easy to grow those delicious sprouts
Good..
Thanks

I just throw leftover pumpkin seeds in pots outside, and they sprout quickly. Taste good steamed with rice and veggies. The easiest way to grow some greens I reckon. Cheers.
Can you regrow a pumpkin that way?
Thank you 4 sharing😃
Thank you for tutorial how to plant pumpkin seed
Your channel really deserves more views.
Haha, I feel like it too, I'm working on it
People call them pumpkins in other parts of the world people!
Thanks for this Great information! I'm trying it Soon!
It is super easy and tasty. Let me know if you have questions.
I find they have a bitter taste
Looking forward to new video ideas, I enjoyed working together
I don’t understand why you have to dry them if you’re going to wet them again. Can I just sprout them when they first come out of the squash?
Yes, you will need to dry them first in order to rid of the enzymes. Then once they are dry soak them to sprout. If you don't dry them first, the enzymes in them will attract fungus.
Can sprouts be added to recipes once out of fire when still hot?
Very good work brother🙏🙏🙏
Looks great, I’m going to try this!
Looks yummy! 🤗
Thank you.
Great video! Thank you :)
Thank you so much
What happened between day 3 and 7? Did you leave them uncovered after day 3 since you said remove cover?
Hi. Thank you for the video.
Is it necessary to dry them and then soak them? Can I soak them straight out of the fruit? Thank you.
I think so
Should be completely dried as in nature then soaked.
My seeds just spontaneously started sprouting in the Tupperware container! I was keeping them to roast, but now will be eating the sprouts. I did not rinse dry or even pull the stringy stuff off the seeds.
Thanks ❤️
They are so slimy, what do you do to take off the slime? I was thinking to dry then open up the outer shell and try sprout with the inner seed?
Also if you sprout can you still eat the seed for fat/protein/zinc? Pumpkin seeds very rich in nutrients. Thanks for the video.
I..... I wasn't expecting salad. Was expecting grow full term lol
Oh, yeah, I might make full term next time
Nice video my friend
What is the purpose of drying them? You have to soak them again after
To clean them off pumpkin meat? You can also do it wet but maybe they lose the slimy feel
Can the pumpkin sprout be eaten raw?
This was a great video. Thanks for sharing. Just a quick question for you though - when you harvest the sprouts what do you do with the roots? Do you just throw them away, or continue to spray them and let them grow? Thank you in advance. Looking forward to your response? Oh and before I forget how many times a day do you sprout them please?
no need to dry them ..just soak for 24 hours
Gorgeous sprouts. Did you keep them I. The sun or just on the counter too?
Can you do this with any squash type seed like speghetti squash?
♥️
How long you dried them?
Micro eating👏🏼👏🏾👏🏿👍🏻
Man you need a better knife 👍
I know, 100% true 🤣🤣
If I buy white seeds I nab on them a little just to open the peel a little bit.
Is it ok to eat the roots
👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌💪💪💪💪
This looks to me like a squash rather than a pumpkin? Or maybe they are from the same family, I guess?
My pumpkin sprouts are very bitter.
Why ?
I never had a bitter sprouts. But I've heard from few people that thay could be bitter. I don't know why. Possibly some cultivars have that bitter taste. Sorry can't answer that question
@@easylife1138 bcz yours are not pumpkin seeds but peanut-squash seeds.
is that a Squash? but anyways, thanks for sharing your method!
This is butternut squash
You should point out that some squash is toxic. I got Ill from shoots from a shop bought pumpkin. Be very careful.. :)
It true - I just did it and I got sick. Called toxic squash syndrome. Basically if it's bitter spit it out!!!
What is it that makes them toxic? The kind of squash? The way it's grown? Thank you!
@@cindyleastorch194 if it tastes bitter don't eat it. There's no point trying to figure out which species are toxic because they hybridize like mad. But should be ok if it's not bitter.. 🙂
Can we use the store bought seeds?
I think you can, as long as seeds are fresh
As long as you bought them from an organic grower. Yku dont want GMO seeds
That’s a butternut squash
Pumpkin in India is round. I think, that is another species. I'm growing today is the 8th day.
That's squash.
beautiful
How to grow pumpkins, but uses a butternut squash!!😂
😂😂😂😂
Sooo am I the only one who knows that’s not a pumpkin 🎃 that’s a butternut squash
In other parts of the world it's called "butternut pumpkin"..
@@fruitytarian oh really? I didn’t know that, thank you for sharing 😊
@@Stella-n-Luna you're welcome ☺️
Oh no!! I won't wait 7 days just to eat salad 😂😂😂
The bioavailable nutritions in sprouts far outweigh any other food. Those sprouts alone would probably give you more goodness for your health and body than a month on standard american diet full of fake foods and fake greens.
@@turbonbc So if I brought out a orange pumpkin eating the sprouts is okay?
@@SamanthaSweetAnne Please elaborate what exactly are you asking so i can provide better answer.
@@turbonbc microphone autocorrected me. If I sprouted the orange type pumpkin seeds I could eat right away?
@@SamanthaSweetAnne Sure, you just may need to peel them.
That's a pumpkin?
I didn't see any pumpkin
Squash not pumpkin
If seeds went radiation or sterilizing with heat. They will not germinate.
Bro put an ang invitation to subcribe so that views wont be wasted
Ummmm…. That’s a butternut squash🧐
