The purplish sprout is not because of the towel stain. It is because light filtering through. I normally cover the entire tray with a black plastic bag and keep it in a cool dark place. You can also weigh down the towel to make short and fat sprouts. Thanks for showing us the video, very nicely done.

Thank you for sharing. I love bean sprouts, but they are expensive in supermarkets and don’t keep long. I will enjoy using your technique to grow my own in future.

Thxs for the tutorial! However, in the transcript I would like more detail please? What kind of beans were you using, you rinsed them only one time, how long do you keep them after maturity, do you store them in the refrigerator?👍🏼🤔
When we do bean sprouting, we actually put the beans in the shade away from the sun. The reason is because we want only the sprouts but not a whole plant. When beans is exposed to sun and given too much water, it grows to a plant, grows its leaves that is. We dont want our bean sprouts that way so we hide it from the sun and only sprays it with water on regular intervals. But if you want you bean sprouts to have leaves you can do just as what he did in the video.

I think he ment to say no watering, because he put so water, it would be nice if he put the amount of days before u check to see how there growing. Thank you for you advice 😊María S
These don’t look like the white store bought ones. What about the seed casings. How do you get them off? And do you empty the old water each day and put fresh in? Thanks.
Which sprouting trays? What is the depth of water & how many cups can you have between trays? Do you cover the seeds with water? Try spacers (pop bottle caps, pool noodle etc) if more water is desired between waterings.
How do you keep after growing? Just eat as you go? how long do they last after growing and do you hv a particular storing/preserving method. Sprouts are very nutritious but hv short shelf life from what I hv seen. Nice growing containers.
Is the towel that she places on the tray? Is it moist or dry? Got it with towel. How many days do you let it set? Oh how many days does it take to grow?
