I've been editing drums in Studio One for the past years and decided to give it a go in Cubase. So far it's been way better, this video helped a ton! Thanks dude!
Hey Ludvig, great video! Used this method to edit some drums last night! Love it, no more fluffy phasey stuff sneaking in unlike some of the elastic stuff. Also, having recently moved from PT.. .the shortcuts you mention saved me ages! many thanks ,great video.
No problem! If I'm understanding you correct, the blue markers are you markers that you manually add. See 2:45 where I add ghost notes that Cubase didn't automatically catch. Let me know if you need more help!
Super great video! Thank you - quiet impressive! I would like to know how you scroll to the left and right while your mouse coursor is on events/audio clips. I always have to locate the mouse where there’s no audio clips and then I can scroll. :(
Thank you man! I use a mouse called MX Master 3, which have an extra scroll wheel for the thumb which is for horizontal scrolling. Have you tried holding shift+scrolling? Not sure if it works when the mouse is on events though.
Thanks Matt! I have, I'm sure it works for some instances but I'm not really a fan of time-stretching drum audio. I find it starts adds to many artifacts. Did you find it works for you? :)
@@silversunstudios I’m not sure how it works exactly, I’ve just seen some videos. Your way really makes sense. I’ve used the quantize panel the same as you but I didn’t manually find the transients. This is another level. Thanks for the response!
Is there a way to change the pitch/scale of individual drum sample from a pattern in the drum editor itself? Only work around I have found Is dragging a single pattern to a sampler track to change pitch of the drum scale In key editor. Is there an easier way to accomplish this with fewer steps?
Question.. why? I would assume using a VST drum plugin.. everything would be timed right. Is this just for when you record drums using mics that you are editing this?

Glad I could be of help Luke!
Thanks for the video man ! very informative and helpful
Thanks man!
Great Job, Thanks
Great can u make a video on guitar/Bass editing?
Maybe! :) It's not really that complicated though, I just free warp edit if it's DI's, and do this kind of slip editing if it's already amped.
many thanks for this - really helped me create a workflow! Thank YOU!
No problem, thanks for watching!
Dude thank you so much for this.
No problem Timothy!
Hi, great video! One question, how can I fill the gaps between the cutted slices if the get too long, ie no sound at all? Crossfades are too short...
Great video bud! Awsome drum sound too
Thanks a lot Mark!
Wow! Nice job. Pls what version of Cubase is this? Thanks
Great first video! It helped me a lot, thanks!
Thanks man, I'm glad to hear! :)
hello! thanks for the video, it helped me a lot, everything was fine, but the markers I move turned blue, can you tell me where I'm wrong

@@silversunstudios thanks a lot, this is the most useful video for me on audio setup❤️🏆

@@silversunstudios thank you! I use the same mouse but scrolling while the cursor hovers over an event is still not possible ::
This was awesome man! Editing drums has been a real mystery for me. Have you tried the new cubase 12 audio warp feature for drums yet? Thanks again!

@@silversunstudios time stretching doesn't seem like it has been done using cubase 12 the algorithm or whatever that is is really amazing.

I’m working with a fast double kick part. Hitpoints are not working very well. Is there a way to fix this problem? Thanks so much
Might try adjusting the hitpoint detection setting. Alternatively do this part by hand, or even leave it be for a more natural vibe!

Yep, this is for live recorded drums, not midi! :)
best
Thanks, great video.
