You actually missed one small easter egg about the Nephilim. On shacklethorn auction, you can mod/glitch your way out and into the yard, and if you look at the storm for long enough, lightning will randomly reveal one standing in the distance, though it looks much larger than the others in the game, and (don't hate on me for this) it's almost comparable to the mind flayer from stranger things.
47:11 This actually happened to me not long ago; I was playing Yacht with some friends and he accidently shot a guard off the edge with a shotgun, unable to answer his pager as he had fell into the water. While on my side he landed on a set of stairs, so I run over and answer the pager while he is a panicked. It was funny
Glad my buddy Bile got a mention. I’m a little bummed guys like me and cloaker were left out though. I guess being graffiti in-game isn’t interesting enough for the iceberg. Great video as usual, sir. I missed out on a lot of this. Now I feel a lot more caught up. 🍻

The specail spaw table is definetly real or at least used to be. Was playing the demo on console way back and for some reason around half the units that spawned were shields
I don't think "Shacklethorne is an H.P. Lovecraft Novel" should be down so far on the list, I mean, it's pretty obvious, in one of the intros for the heist Duke literally says "It's like we're heisting an H.P. Lovecraft novel."
I like how overkill just knew some kids would at so they not only made the meth recipe as salt water but also a heister tip saying "don't try this in real life"
Theoretically, the voice actors for the scream, could have been set on fire for the screams, since we allready have seen, people actually being set on fire in movies, using a special suit with multiple layers and a special liquid
but the actors put on fire doesn't get hurt by it, so it's literally useless to set on fire a voice actor with multiple layers because it won't change is acting
9:07 funny story is that when i switched from console to pc, i set the corpse limit on ultra. this really told me how much cops ive been killing for the past year without knowing
The Shadow Raid Helicopter Exploit is still an exploit in my opinion because it involves taking advantage of that safety measure to ensure that extra guards don't spawn and ensuring you can get the helicopter artifact if you have the skill to pull it off.
Oh hey, i remember that iceberg! i actually contributed and got the "Blackdozer shotgun" added on. Nice to see a deep dive into it minor edit: I've heard that the whole "Trashley" thing is due to Ashley trying to connect to the payday base on 4chan, which went about as well as you'd expect. To sweeten the relationship, ashley would post codes of DLC onto the board..... which was overlayed on top of porn/gore, to throw off scalpers (apparently). edit 2: the main thing about HRT units was that back in the day, on deathwish, they'd deal more damage than the fucking Gensec rifleman. so it turned into this meme of a dozer being a cakewalk, but a white shirted dude with an MP5 would tear you an new asshole.
My understanding of the "Trashley" thing was how she handled the community backlash from Crimefest 2015. She was really in the spotlight then in a bad way.
The porn/gore thing isn't true, don't know where you heard that. She hung out in the 4chan payday general and gave away codes. Trashley was just a nickname that stuck, no great story behind it.
Also it’s interesting that in the ending, Hoxton then Houston then Bodhi throw in their masks after one another… could be pure 39:13 coincidence or it’s a nod to hoxton multiple names. (Hoxton, the new Hoxton being named Houston when he returns and Hoxton in prison almost getting called Bodhi.)
It's still weird to me to see gameplay of someone seriously using the Lion's Roar and Bootleg in heists. I really hope they give SMGs the same amount of love they game the previously really bad ARs. Specifically the Tommy Gun really needs some love.
The Ar's pre buff were already pretty good. They basically over tweaked the guns. The ar's prior to the buff had some advantages over lmgs. They only really needed crits and you can just go for headshots, which can be a lot more doable because they had really good customisation. And the Ar's were better at killing bulldozers than lmgs. In terms of ease of use is where they suffered, now you can basically use them like better lmgs. Lmgs still arent bad, just that you might as well use an ar. Even things like the Bootleg was still alright to use before. It was pretty concealable and had really nice stats. You needed Crits and Berserker aced/Overkill aced and you got a nice assault rifle with lmg like capabilities. Smgs are amazing. High damage ones or mid-low damage smgs (they're very concealable) with crits are really good against bulldozers and can be decent for crowd control. Akimbo smgs can kill so much and especially after the buff that made akimbos not need ammo bags, they're ridiculously amazing.
The Diamond being the Golden Grin Drill isn’t a plothole. It’s not the literal drill bit, the diamond is used as a laser focuser. How that was missed, I have no idea
The way that Jacket was added, I personally say that it's more supernatural mumbo-jumbo. The nuke was just far enough away that he was actually safe, but the radiation gave him some extra time to live. Think of it like Ghoulification in Fallout, practically immortality with a small hint of psychotic nature. Would explain how he's still alive, and maybe three-hands, too.
29:39 my theory is that the diamond used to focus the laser drill, being the metaphorical tip of the drill, because it's somehow this uber pure and is one of the reasons why the diamond was so valuable. it doesn't make sense but it's the headcanon i'm going with anyway
Like I said in the comments of Barfield's Iceberg video for Payday 2 "Heisters can carry over 400lbs" most likely refers to the Aftershock Heist where Vlad claims the Vaults we carry weigh 400lbs
so the duke being a time traveler one works if you think "oh, he realises he has to pen the letter to his own grandfater to complete his paradoxical cycle
I like to imagine Jacket's tape recorder is controlled in their mouth, each of their teeth having some sort of button or sensor that allows for the audio clips to be played without needing to use their hands
Honestly at this point you could just say that he just sounds like that when talking normally and uses the tape recorders to avoid having to explain why
the "Every Lobby Is A Split Reality" entry might actually be a joke entry riffing off of Warframe, where the devs have stated multiple times that every individual player's playthrough is considered canon, just in its own timeline.
19:00 Marcmb did a video on it, it's possible but requires 3, ideally 4 people to do, with 3 people pager juggling during the hack and 1 doing the C4 objective.
28:59 I'm guessing HRT being missing is in response to HRT being a real team of people in the FBI, which might have caused some complications somewhere down the line. That's only a guess though, since the FBI are in game, along with a heist where you can raid them and kill members. Difference being no specific team, names, of building locations are mentioned, where as HRT is a very real team that was mentioned that you could also kill.
the ingame name of the FBI is "federal berau of intervention" instead of "federal berau of investigation", it's sort of like the GTA 5 thing where they just swapped the letters around and were let go, as for the HRT units missing I assume it's because overkill were too cautious with the entire FBI thing, and instead of renaming the units they just deleted them so you can't upset the FBI by killing them because they simply don't exist in the game
Been waiting for this video from you! Also, for the Apex PCs, will they be able to run payday 2 with mods fairly well, or are they just tailored for vanilla? I’ve been looking to get a gaming PC and I think your custom ones are a good choice for me.
When we put these PC's together we actually had speculative specs for Payday 3 in mind. Without a doubt they'll be able to run Payday 2, mods included! The hope is that you'd be relatively future-proofed too!
I would love a mode where you could string 7 individual heists or a few multi-day heists into a 7 day heist. I know we have crime spree but I think the idea is workable enough with tweaks to be fun
How about a 7 day heist that you can simply finish early, or stay for extra rewards, kind of like a mini crime-spree where if you die you lose all rewards
I'm surprised the iceberg didn't include a "Planned Naruto Crossover" with The Twister mask, would be a funny entry. That mask was a hit back in the early datamining days
Anything for me is that I knew about the drill formulas when I first started playing the game back on the PlayStation 4 like a couple years ago before I got it on my pc. Because I studied that the drills would always go off at a certain time when the percentage or the big yellow bar was at a certain point so I was always like okay it's about to stop and I would always tell my friends like hey somebody got that drill it's about to stop. They would be like how do you do that how do you know that I thought it doesn't randomly and they're just like I just know you know it's kind of funny that everybody knows that stuff now but back in the day nobody did it was just me and my brain
I think the 2 Hoxtons refers to the dillema on the name "Hoxton", since Houston was the one using that name, due to being his replacement while the original Hoxton was in prison.
I remember the Ashley your talking about. People disliked them because they would give codes to people who already had them, were known for selling them on eBay, or were personal friends of theirs.
if the heisters masks are something that has been used to fight the aliens that mean the star spangled banned imprinted on dallas mask is older then the US which is the most american thing ever in the payday universe

I too still remember that “iffy” means caustic soda and “fuck me” meant hydrogen chloride. I also think I remember that there was a voice line where plainly said one ingredient only to mean a different, so you genuinely had to listen to the inflection of the word.
My Favourite Piece of Payday Logic is:
A guy in heavy body armor: Completely Fine
A guy crouching: *Aggressively calls SWAT*
Tbh if i saw somebody in heavy body armor walking around i would be less concerned than seeing a fancily suited man crouching around
OH SHIT, THANKS DUDE! I was actually working on a video break down of my own, but it's crazy to see an absolute legend tackle this massive project!
I do wonder if this is an updated one. Have yet to see Hector's sister featured on one of these icebergs
Ohh I didn't really think it was my place to VeggieBLT's masterpiece, but I did mention the lesser-known Bonnie/Hector's sister fact in one of the story videos.
The tournament build of the game is still accessible on Steam via right-click > Properties > Betas
Can’t wait for PD3 and if we get to travel the world I want to see Egypt and the pyramids and see the destruction that the dentist caused
"my friends, we're sending you to egypt to steal the pyramids. yeah, for sure."
i wonder if locke will appear in payday 3?
That would be not nice, Payday 2 style better
I just hope it's on ps4
@@dogomage9003 it will probably be on ps5 but not ps4
I hope it is on the steam deck
43:19 I theorize that the placement of that symbol is to represent that the Overkill MC are apart of the Kataru, and it's a sort of territory marker.
"First I robbed the White House, now there's an apocalypse. Next thing we know, no Medic Bags!"
- Dallas, Left 4 Dead 2, probably
An animated series most players would have loved to see: Nope, only an April fool's joke, sorry :P
A UA-camr character pack nobody asked for: t h i s i s t h e w a y
kinda fitting that in canon they fucked up the gang's image
@@theworstmaid i like to imagine that after the ending of payday 2, the gang split, not because it was some sort of infamous type of crap and they'd go down in legend, but rather "i'm not apart of this bullshit anymore" and then straight up split. in fact, i believe that houston was the first 1 to leave, seeing as how he opened a bar at the end of the game to be his own contractor like guy, and how he's literally the only member that took his job remotely seriously
and they're grifters that canonically fucked up the gang's image
@@theworstmaid I was unaware of this. Could you elaborate please?
@@caporegimeclutch9715 ethan and hila were hired(?) by the gang to help with their public image i believe, since it was around the time the government was really cracking down on crime. and presumably after fan's reactions to the dlc, it was shown that they helped further reduce the gang's popularity. i could've totally fucked that up by the way
if you want a more confident and understandable explanation i think it's in the 4 hour lore video
Really cool idea for a 7 Day heist.
It's just for the most part, the really small jobs, like all 3 normal bank hits, both jewelery and diamond store hit, art gallery, and the seventh day be First World Bank.
27:01 would have been good to mention the shadow figure that sometimes appears in the clouds when lightning strikes, very similar to a popular piece of art depicting cthulu in the clouds.
I like how overkill just knew some kids would at so they not only made the meth recipe as salt water but also a heister tip saying "don't try this in real life"
To reinforce that the tf2 mercs are canon in the payday lore, 9:00 shows "bonk!" On the stock market, which is scouts nuclear drink
9:11 looking at the board you can see stocks for Bonk! which is another tf2 reference to the Bonk! atomic punch
9:07
funny story is that when i switched from console to pc, i set the corpse limit on ultra. this really told me how much cops ive been killing for the past year without knowing
Your videos are always so lovely to watch, your voice and editing are incredibly enjoyable
Nice to see a deep dive into it
minor edit: I've heard that the whole "Trashley" thing is due to Ashley trying to connect to the payday base on 4chan, which went about as well as you'd expect.
You forgot Wolf staying off the dance floor.
I always wanted a 7 day heist to act as a magnum opus to your heisting career.
I think it's more rewarding to perfect one heist then 7 damn days of a heist. Jesus, no heist has ever lasted a week, lol
Headcanon that Jacket has his tape recorder in his mouth and just uses his tongue to control it.
As a Texan myself Dallas' beta voice is 100% accurate to how we all sound
Having to spell out something with the deposit boxes in the bank is such a cool idea, sucks that they scrapped it.
I think this video and your stealth 23 build video are single-handedly gonna get me back into pd2
That, or mind manipulation, he uses the player with his mind
@@EdyAlbertoMSGT3 I don't know on that.
29:39 my theory is that the diamond used to focus the laser drill, being the metaphorical tip of the drill, because it's somehow this uber pure and is one of the reasons why the diamond was so valuable. it doesn't make sense but it's the headcanon i'm going with anyway
34:24 "Right where the sleeping city of ali-a was found"
That is the most butched pronunciation of the city of R'lyeh I've ever heard Jesus
He said "Ar-liay," which is slightly more understandable- he pronounced the R as the letter. Definitely cursed though lmao
This video is so good that I could get up this morning, because I watched it for too long at night.
Thank you.
I hate this image of jacket just having a mouth filled with wires under his mask.
@@sud1881 Oddly terrifying…
Honestly at this point you could just say that he just sounds like that when talking normally and uses the tape recorders to avoid having to explain why
Breaking cams in Pdth doesnt actually make it harder for them to find you, it only delays certain spawns on maps irc. :)
Ain't played in 8 years, saw the thumbnail preview and my first thought was "Yeah that looks about right"
i’ve never played this game and know nothing about it I just really love iceberg videos about games
With how crazy payday 2 is, maybe Jacket controls his tapes with his.. Mind?
the "Every Lobby Is A Split Reality" entry might actually be a joke entry riffing off of Warframe, where the devs have stated multiple times that every individual player's playthrough is considered canon, just in its own timeline.
Man I haven't touched PD2 for like 3 years and im just discovering that whole secret ending
19:00 Marcmb did a video on it, it's possible but requires 3, ideally 4 people to do, with 3 people pager juggling during the hack and 1 doing the C4 objective.
I'm convinced Marcmb can find a way to stealth Hoxton Breakout at this point.
28:59
I'm guessing HRT being missing is in response to HRT being a real team of people in the FBI, which might have caused some complications somewhere down the line.
@@thebluehat6814 Hmmm... nah. Probably gameplay related reasons
@@thebluehat6814 ....You're telling me you can upset the FBI by making them killable in a videogame? What a bunch of pussies.
I've got the mod that revamps assault waves so on top of having more downtime between assault waves we actually get HRTs
I've not played payday in years but I feel weird seeing all these old bugs and stuff be part of an iceberg of lore
@@TheKknowley thank you! It’s gonna be a definite buy from me then!
@@ReverendReverb So, how'd it go? Does the PC run well?
@@gabrielhowle2377 certainly! Couldn’t ask for a better machine, even the new heists run without any problems!
I like the additional TF2 references in the stock ticker; “Bonk!” And “Conagher’s Tool & Munitions”
CHAINS IS IN A PICKLE
It is a long time since I watch Hardcore Henry, but I think when Henry is getting a gun from a drawer, we see Jimmy's original mask inside it.
i couldn't stop laughing at Jacket sliding everywhere in big bank LOL
Stealthing all 3 days of Firestarter is one of my proudest gaming achievements.
I actually asked my chemistry teacher what the components for the Breaking Bad stuff would give, and he confirmed that it is water
Lol
I would love a mode where you could string 7 individual heists or a few multi-day heists into a 7 day heist. I know we have crime spree but I think the idea is workable enough with tweaks to be fun
Career mode?
How about a 7 day heist that you can simply finish early, or stay for extra rewards, kind of like a mini crime-spree where if you die you lose all rewards
i’m so glad to see such an interest in payday 2 still!!
I always thought the heisters can carry 400 pounds was a reference to Vlad's voice line from aftershock
Epic can't wait!
please, for the love of god, do not use that word :( ... (epic)
@@currentlypooping no!
I'm surprised the iceberg didn't include a "Planned Naruto Crossover" with The Twister mask, would be a funny entry. That mask was a hit back in the early datamining days
Actually MarioInATopHat's PSA's are parodies of the REAL Payday 2 psa's by Feldrin!
At 34:54, you should also mention that bodhi's VA is hoxtons visual actor in hoxton breakout.
I've recently played this game and... Holy cow it's pretty fun and cool
I think the 2 Hoxtons refers to the dillema on the name "Hoxton", since Houston was the one using that name, due to being his replacement while the original Hoxton was in prison.
This iceberg left out something. The reason bane wanted the briefcase in the hardcore henry heist.
I remember the Ashley your talking about. People disliked them because they would give codes to people who already had them, were known for selling them on eBay, or were personal friends of theirs.
19:05 Car shop can be rushed with 3+ players and Pager Juggling, as shown by Marcmb
42:17 tbh this one is actually terrifying. SCP-096+titandozer=fear
if the heisters masks are something that has been used to fight the aliens that mean the star spangled banned imprinted on dallas mask is older then the US which is the most american thing ever in the payday universe
I just paused Payday 3 to eat something and the first video in my recommendations is a Payday 2 iceberg, which was released exactly 2 years ago. Crazy.
Guess there's more to Dallas screaming "AHHH I'M DIE-YING!" than I thought
You know, the fire death screams are a lot less scary and a lot funnier out of context
I believe the hostage rescue units are still in The Crimewave Edition (PS and XBOX) versions of the game. I could be wrong, but I think I remember seeing some of them not too long ago. They’re definitely in the 360 and PS3 versions as those are LONG abandoned.
