A small detail that I don't see get a lot of mention is that Batman almost always refers to Killer Croc with his birth name, Weylon Jones, while most other characters just calls him Croc or "it". No matter how mutated Croc becomes over the games, Batman still sees him as a person, as a human being.
It’s a tactic used to try to potentially convince villains to turn over a new leaf. Thats why he always calls Two-Face Harvey, etc. Of course he can’t do this with the Joker because nobody really knows his true identity.
There are banners in the lounge challenge that say "happy birthday penguin" so ig croc was the only one invited that actually showed up. Kind of sad but also wholesome.
Fun fact: I wasn't scared of the game crashing in Asylum when I first played it, because I was about 8 years old and couldn't really get what was supposed to happen. What *does* get me is stories of people never finishing the game because they thought the crash was *that* real.
@@sassas1487 well since most people who had the game actually stayed on it Past the crash screen only thought it had actually crashed for a second before relief flooded their brain. So really you’re just an asshole. Enjoy your day.
Never scared or fooled me either, I figured it was scripted because the game takes away your ability to run, then hearing that odd announcement and the fact that you can hear Joker's laugh during "The Crash"
Fun fact: Tyger guards CAN actually be terrified, but this is only after preforming a ledge or inverted takedown on them and they're left dangling there which makes sense.
There is actually one other time, too In combat encounters, rather than predator encounters, the last enemy left standing becomes terrified, while all others throughout the fight are nervous, it doesn't change anything about that enemy's behaviour, but it definitely does happen, and I'm certain I've seen it affect TYGER Guards as well.
*Fun Fact about Calander Man's "There are your beginning. Be there at your end" line:* In Batman Arkham Origins in an early cutscene, right before 'Black Mask' puts Commissioner Leob in the execution chamber, Calander Man walks out of it because he was supposed to be excecuted on that night. While this isn't technically Batman's beginning, it is the earliest we see Batman in the Arkhamverse, and Calander Man was there. I just think that little easter egg is a nice nod to what Calander Man said in Arkham City. It's neat. Boogity
Its been a while but im pretty sure there's news paper clipping in the Batcave that reference a "Long Halloween" so I think this references that Calander Man may have been Batmans first villain/
I think the Cain and Abel symbolism is actually that Batman FEELS it's his first kill. He didn't save him so he feels that he was responsible for the Joker's death.
Cain killed Abel because jealousy... Batman already tried saved joker but joker broke the antidote.... That's why joker laugh when batman said he will keep try keep save him even with the horrendous things joker did.. Funny joke batman...
in fact , im pretty sure Batman CAN and DID exist without joker, however, joker on the other hand, might not and he projects that dependency onto batman. Only if you use the term joker to describe all villiany, but at that point, he still has two face and penguin and black mask and the rest of the lot to direct his crusade at. While joker, joker NEEDS Batman as that ineffable symbol of stalwartness to try and break. if batman was gone, there would be noone worth testing for joker, But Batman obsession is more abstract and replaceable.
The "you can find where Jason was tortured" bit has a lot more evidence to it that was shown here. You can also find the wheelchair that Jason was tortured in hidden deeper in the asylum. The wheels are still spinning, implying that Joker quickly hid Jason away before Batman could find him.
Harley's Non-Pregnancy has a pretty simple answer that is solely behind-the-scenes. Asylum and City were written by Paul Dini, but after the release of City, Rocksteady chose to use in-house writers as opposed to bringing in "outsiders" like Paul. This meant a new team wrote the story for Harley Quinns Revenge as well as Arkham Knight. Harley being pregnant was a story element that Dini was planning to expand upon in a (at the time hypothetical) 3rd game in the series, but Rocksteady/the new writers weren't invested in that particular plot thread, so they used the Arkham City DLC as a means to essentially retcon it with "The test was a false positive and the baby Harley was singing to in the credits of Newgame+ was just Scarface painted to look like a Baby Joker". It's also very likely the reason the cliffhangers in City for Hush, Azrael and Calendar Man had no real impact on the story of Knight. They were probably story elements Dini was once again likely intending to follow up on in the next game, while the new writing team just wasn't interested in using these threads. However, in this case they knew they couldn't just leave these unaddressed in Knight, so Hush and Azrael were still included as (brief and underwhelming) side missions that don't have any influence on the game, while Calendar Man gets a blink and you'll miss it cameo during the final cutscene.
There's also a canonical explanation. The Joker physically can't have kids due to his body being exposed to massive chemicals. This has been brought up in older comics (and much darker comics). Harley has been shown in both the Batman: Animated Series and in independent works as well to be obsessed with the idea of starting a family with Joker. So, canonically speaking, Harley Quinn got a false positive amongst a million negatives and obsessed over it, thinking this was finally her chance to start a family. After the Joker dies, she becomes even more obsessed with the hope of carrying his baby, an obsession that carries over into Arkham Knight when she finds out there are multiple "mini jokers" so to speak.
Excellent explanation, any insight as to why Rocksteady felt confident enough to use in-house writers instead of relying on Dini or others later on - curious if it was just a way of saving money?
While I loved to what Paul and the rest of the original writers would come up for third Arkham game, I’m with rocksteady on caning the pregnant Harley subplot. Personally I don’t find it interesting and from what I could imagine of a story that goes down that route, it doesn’t look that good. Plus a part of me thinks that it possible this has nothing to do with Paul and the writers always intended for it to be a red herring and that people were desperate to find something that may have be hint to the original plan for Arkham knight and just choose this for some reason. But then again, that just my two cents on it.
Heres a fun fact about the "live-action" trailers: Here in my country, Hungary, when the AC cinematic trailer came out, a morning show actually believed it to be the trailer for the next Nolan Batman movie, and had a film critic on who talked for like 10 minutes about what he thought about it. It was only after the segment aired that they realized its a CG video game trailer.
To give some context in english: Film critic comes in, and basically starts talking in general about how much he hates the batman movies, claims the comics were all like Adam West Batman, so the new movies aren't even faithful, says Heath Ledger's Joker is the only reason the movies are popular. He basically plays the part of the typical contrarian snobby movie critic. The hosts ask who he thinks the villain will be, and who will play that villain, which is very weird considering they already saw a trailer, as far as they are aware atleast... They also ask the critic if he prepared for the interviews by watching TDK or Batman Begins. He says no. Maybe if he did he would have noticed the trailer isn't related...
Honestly the saddest thing in the arkham games is edward burke, he lost his daughter, wasted years of his time working on a useless park, got betrayed by what he believed were his friends, and had a horrifying, brutal death.
honestly the Matter of Family is super eerie in terms of story and ambience by the setting, especially after hearing the last audio tape in his room and seeing his lifeless skeleton in his bed (hinting at the achievement all Snug in Their Beds). I Think its one of the storylines and setting that is heavily overlooked and slept on (pun intended). Not to mention that Starro EE. If the Arkham games are good at something its definitely ambience, it makes you feel something being alone in something that is abandoned (like Wonder city, Langstrom's lab, Riddler's hideout in AK, Etc.) and that alone is powerful.
@A-gonzalez-2228 having just finished all the Arkham games recently I can definitely say the ambiance of the creepy parts of the games is definitely great. Always felt unnerved whenever I was in areas like you mentioned because those places once had life in them and to see said life reduced when going through those places was just very ominous.
In regards to the final Alfred/Bruce conversation not making sense if they're faking their deaths: Alfred raised Bruce practically by himself in this manor and it holds probably the most precious memories to him. Asking Bruce if he's sure he wants to go through with it makes sense since not only does he have great fondness of raising Bruce, it's also one of the last ties both of them have to Martha and Thomas.
Right? Lol I thought that was weird commentary. Faking your own death and blowing up the house you've lived at your whole life is not a light subject matter
That's how I see it as well. Wayne Manor wasn't just a big mansion; it was Bruce's home. Seeing it destroyed is going to be upsetting But I can see a silver lining: I say Bruce and Alfred are still out there, just laying low. They're probably sitting on a beach right now, waiting for whoever is able to see them
I know it works either way but I still believe that he was asking Bruce if he wanted to destroy his (I think last good) place with memories of his family.
36:05 I'm so happy the AA demo got acknowledged. I remember being super young replaying it over and over and absolutely adoring it. I played it so much that I'm pretty sure I can quote the entire intro of the game verbatim. Eventually, my dad caved and bought the entire game, and we both bonded in our individual playthroughs of the entire series from that point.
Actually, about calender man, the reason he is in the cell is explained in one of the arkham city stories. He took over the courthouse after being put in arkham city and seasonally killed criminals who entered until Two Face shows up with his men and take over, locking him in the basement
I am new to this channel! I just got on this I will be posting a lot of Arkham content. Including full game videos. Trailers and Movie speaking editions. I would like for you to subscribe for more! However I hope you enjoy my videos! I’ll keep you posted! I will do all the Arkham series!!!!
What really surprises me is how Calander Man has managed to successfully overpower and kill other people for a long time despite his appearance. I guess he's a prime example of not judging a book by its cover.
Personally I think the reason Bruce and Alfred were so somber at the end is because literally no one can know that they were live apart from each other. Neither of them will ever see Dick, Tim, Barbara, Gordon, Selena, or even Jason (who they recently discovered was still alive) ever again. Not to mention that part of the plan is essentially burning down Wayne Manor, The place that was their home and where the young Master Bruce was raised. There’s also a very rare interaction between Batman and Penguin that you only see if you arrest the crime boss after Bruce is revealed to be the Batman. Penguin makes fun of how no one will be afraid of him after tonight and jokingly asks how he plans on what costume he’ll try using to scare criminals now. Batman silently but almost smugly replies “You’ll see.” Which bear in mind Batman only says this after he’s already decided that he hast to initialize the Knightfall Protocol. So I believe this is foreshadowing that Batman will continue to protect the city and be using fear toxin in the near future to scare criminals even after his public death.
I think that solemn conversation might also have to do with the fact that both he and Alfred know that after initiating Knightfall, he can't be Bruce Wayne anymore...Let me explain: It's been noted at several points before that "Bruce Wayne", the carefree, happy playboy billionaire is just an act, and Bruce's TRUE personality is "Batman", the angry, brooding and broken man. I mean, with everything that he went through, why wouldn't he be that way? But while the balance between those two lives is unsteady at best, he still maintains it. So when Bruce's identity is found out, he knows that he can't have that double life anymore. He can't be both Batman and Bruce Wayne. By blowing up Wayne Manor, he's effectively "killing" the part of his life that is Bruce Wayne. But now with Bruce Wayne "dead" in everyone's eyes, he's completely isolated from society and can focus the entirety of his time, energy, and life on punishing criminals. On top of using fear toxin, what we see at the end might be Batman in his purest form: a dark force of nature that's only concerned with punishing the scum of Gotham, completely separated from the human side that was holding him back.
The idea of fear toxin Batman is badass, but considering the somber aspects of it as well as the many supernatural aspects within the series, I think it would be metal AF If it was MORE than just a new costume and some fear toxin, the devs leave it up to interpretation, so there isn’t any proof, but I do think it would be cool if Bruce LITERALLY mutates himself or uses some sort of otherworldly power to become a reality warping bat demon. As said in the video, knightfall seems to be the worst case scenario, the human aspect of the Batman dies, and he begins to fully embody a force of unstoppable vengeance. I don’t even want to theorize much further on the differences, I think it’s cooler if his plans, method, morality, and tactics are as much a mystery to us as they are to everyone else. Batman is dead, and something FAR WORSE has taken his place.
Minor correction on Scarecrow’s appearance. The reason the skin on Scarecrow’s ‘face’ looks like woven cloth, is because it is woven cloth. After Croc mauled him he sewed his mask on.
Pretty sure some of the conversations about his face go on and have it summed up as “yeah..that’s not a mask he sewed his own face like that”..which tends to make the one who asked grossed out on learning that
Scarecrow may be evil but he's not insane - surely since he's a doctor he'd have enough medical knowledge to not sow something into even mangled flesh. The infection risk would be too great for him, I suspect.
No he never sowed it. Why are you spreading misinformation? It says in the game bio that scarecrow restructures his face to look like his mask, but it isn’t actually his mask.
20:20 I mean, effectively, _Bruce is_ "dead". One of Alfred's worst-case scenarios is Bruce giving up on his own life and devoting himself 100% to being Batman. While Alfred doesn't mind _too much_ being out of the spotlight and vanishing from society, he really wants Bruce to be able to have a life beyond his vigilante persona.
32:23 From what I remember, the Ice Berg Lounge is surrounded by Birthday banners. Croc is watching the fight while smoking a cigar. I remember the explanation being that it was either Penguin's or Croc's birthday, and this is their way of celebrating. Odd how Penguin of all people gets along with croc, but still cool to see these guys have a great time.
Maybe they bond over their unsual appearances? And Penguin is a great negotiator: so, if Croc wanted to eat Penguin, then the Penguin could reason with him to provide some some benefits in exchange for muscle. Penguin is pretty rational comparatively speaking.
@dirrdevil I always liked how some Batman Villains will just get along and be pals. Penguin used to let Joker in the lounge till he maimed some of his workers and surprisingly Joker tried to apologize. Real comical how cordial they are towards each other compared to the hatred they have for Batman.
Well I’m assuming it’s most likely penguin since he had control over the museum in Arkham city a fun little inclusion even if it’s not canon as it’s just training rooms at the end of the day. (tho why Batman would have a simulation of penguin having a birthday brawl in the iceberg lounge is beyond me)
1:28:23 - also worth mentioning is that when doing a beatdown on Mr Freeze in Arkham City, at the end Batman starts seeing Joker's head instead of Freeze's which later Rocksteady confirmed was an early hint of the Joker disease (though I'm not sure of how far into the future they planned it) and is the earliest manifestation of it in universe

@@GoofyAhhManWasTakenT_T did you mean to reply it to a comment talking about the arkham asylum scarecrow crash? cause that makes more sense, cause if you threw out the game because mr freezes head turned into a joker you were an idiot lol
A stealth Joker multi-phase fight where he stalks you and tries to ambush you before the final showdown in Arkham Asylum would’ve honestly been so much more memorable. Especially if they truly went the extra mile to make the fight scary for the player
Correct me if i'm wrong but there aren't any other enemies in the game that (could) have acted liked how the joker would look in his alternative mutated form/ It'd be cool to see how the titan formula made people transform differently, with some being big and strong and others becoming long and more stealthy. Imagine grappeling up to one of the statues and finding a mutated joker thug already hiding up there with you, making a predator vs prey + a bunch of other predators scenario.
Like the TN1 Bane boss fight in Arkham Origins? That would have been so cool back in the day. Though I do think that the actual fight fitted the story more and was a good conclusion to the game. It was not epic in any particular sense but it was very Joker-ish andJoker probably wasn't trying to kill Batman, cause if he really wanted to he would have been able to seriously wound him atleast. Joker only wanted attention and did not want to be forgotten. He arranged the roof top fight with Batman for publicity sake, with all the News Choppers flying around, Commisioner stapped to an electicuting chair etc... It all seems stupid and that's the Point.
@@huzikhan2189 TN1 was an enhanced form of Venom that Bane used in the Game. It surpassed the effects of Venom exponentially but the side effect was severe damage to a ones memory part of the Brain. Which explained why Bane forgot the true identity of Batman after the final fight with him.
A bit of extra info on jokers “only you” singing, one of the first things you hear in AK is the song, it plays in the diner before the fear toxin is released
I’m here after receiving the news that Kevin Conroy has passed away. RIP Kevin, I hope you enjoyed being THE Batman for many generations of children as much as we enjoyed your interpretation of who and what Batman is, for 30 years. Thank you for everything. 🖤
I love Batman because of Kevin. He is The Batman whenever I think of Batman I think of kevin Conroy. When I read Batman I read it in Kevin’s voice. From the animated projects to the Arkham series he will always be my Batman forever. Rip to a legend who will never be forgotten❤️❤️
32:00 “Or worse, a miscarriage...” There’s a theory out there that Harley really was pregnant and Batman caused the miscarriage at the beginning of Arkham City in the church when he countered her strike and threw her onto the floor... Edit: Jeez, some of you edgelords in the replies talking about how “deplorable and depressing” it is to be religious/atheist need to get off the internet.
I like to think it was changing in the writing team since Paul Dini wrote Arkham city and return to write the DLC and the writer who wrote the Harley Quinn’s revenge dlc retconned it and for some people and me I like to think it’s was Paul Dini’s idea he had plans for it in the next Arkham installment.
i think the alfred and bruce interaction when the manor blows up is just alfred realizing bruce is going to fall fully into whatever rises from the batman's ashes and that the bruce he knows and loves could be gone forever
What with having to go into hiding and any semblance of a normal life being gone, I'm not surprised they sounded somber. Also, having to blow up the manor which has housed the Wayne family for generations would be sad.
It'd basically be the total death of Bruce Wayne as he'd only be a secret batman from there on out. I'm sure Alfred especially would be sad about that and the loss of Wayne Manor.
What do you mean could be? He IS gone forever, joker did took over Bruce's mind and now the only one that remains is Batman A hint to this is at the end of first hallucination of playing as joker, joker says to Alfred that master Bruce is gone but don't worry new master is coming home And in the next hallucination who defeated joker was batman in his batsuit, this can be concluded as batman defeated joker in the mind but Bruce Wayne lost forever ever because he tried to kill joker hallucination when confronted with his parents' death and had a killer's mind
A scary Easter egg that I found was that the dollotrons in the cells in ak have a terrified status, but they also disappear towards the end of the game. If you go behind pyg while he's working on his victim, the dollotron has a voiceline
I think the sadness between Alfred and Bruce was because they had to leave the city that they did so much to protect and that the chance of leaving it worried them, or that not only would they have to fake their own deaths but it would bring an end to the Wayne family and since the Wayne’s were such a huge part of gothams history there was no way they could be a part of it ever again
That Deathstroke fight in Origins was epic. Huge props to the stunt actors that mo-capped the whole thing. The Deathstroke guy hurt something when doing one of Deathstroke's acrobatics. They got another guy to do that specific stunt and then they let the OG guy heal up and continue. (Source: Corridor Crew Stunt Men React)
Kinda funny that fight had so much effort put into it and then Deathstroke just...apes Ra's' rapid sword strikes which apes your rapid counter presses from the same fight. I get Origins had its limits, but still funny.
I believe the ending is exactly what it seems, Bruce weaponized Crane’s fear toxin and is now using it to be this Knightmare Batman. He mentioned to Seline that Gotham needed a new legend. Also, when Crane is injected with his own toxin, the Batman he sees looks oddly similar to the one those thugs witness at the end. That’s my interpretation. Bruce “died” then after some time, developed a new way to defend Gotham using something more terrifying than Batman. Seems like the more logical approach to me. Nothing in game shows that a member of the Bat-Family would take the mantle. And Bruce actually killing himself and Alfred is just not gonna happen. It’s similar to the TDKR comic where he fakes his death at the end.
Not just that but if you capture penguin after completing the main story he will question if Batman’s going to adopt a new persona even mockingly suggesting a squirrel to which Batman will reply with “You’ll see.”
Fear Toxin basically tortures the enemies in their minds, it's worse than just killing them and it's canonically prove to give permanent effects sometimes, Bruce just saw what a Innocent Police Officer did after innaling a bit. He would never use it, it's the same as torture.
19:19 it's pretty clear. In the begining of Knight, it's explained that the only ones left in the city are thugs who stayed or came to riot and loot. Meaning when the gas was released, every thug in Gotham was either killed or received enough of it to have the long lasting side effects of hallucinations. The more symbolic meaning of this is that even though batman is dead, the idea of Gotham's protector still lives on not only in the hearts of it's citizens, but in the minds of it's criminals.
I always thought of it as Azrael continuing Batman’s legacy since he was a playable character yet had little to no relevance in knight.. I mean in city he was kinda important
@@ryanmarci This is my favorite interpretation as well. Azrael wouldn't have any qualms about using the fear gas the way Bruce would, and if you get the good ending of his side quest, he's pretty much all set to take on the role of Batman.
I’m honestly amazed I already knew about 90% of this stuff before watching the video. I guess that goes to show how much I love the Arkham saga that I already knew so much.
At first I thought the guy in the diner was anarchy, too. But if u go back to the diner as Batman the “A” isn’t there anymore, leading me to believe that the cop hallucinated it. My head canon is that he encountered anarchy earlier in his career, and that the guy’s red hood made him fear that it could be him.
I like how he presents the obvious evidence for Bruce Wayne being Batman. Makes you think about other instances where you don’t see Bruce transition into Batman and could theorize that it’s actually different people.
Bruce Wayne being Batman is such a known fact even for non-DC/superhero fans that it needs to be wondered if there is any proof that batman is Bruce Wayne
19:15 If it truly is Bruce using fear toxin that could be so cool, imagine a boss fight against batman in the Suicide Squad game where he's using the toxin on you. Also on the fear toxin he prolly took cranes and dialed down the intensity a bit so it doesn't kill the affected
I have sort of an idea on what I think could happen in the Suicide Squad game since we already know Batman is in it (check out Batman Arkham Videos’ breakdown of the trailer). It’s almost guaranteed that he’ll be in the game as a boss fight of some kind, but with Batman being Batman, I doubt he hasn’t planned for this, so it’s unlikely Brainiac got him as well. It’s likely that, in order to defeat the corrupted Justice League members, part of the game will revolve around gathering Batman’s plans for fighting and defeating every JL member. If Brainiac has gotten him, then it’s likely we’ll just see him as a boss when they go after those. If he hasn’t, then I have a much more interesting theory: Batman defeats Brainiac, or helps the Suicide Squad defeat him, but then plans to use Brainiac’s ship to mind control the planet and make them forget Bruce Wayne is Batman, so he can recapture the fear he used to instill in criminals. Then Batman, controlling Brainiac’s ship or otherwise, is the real final boss of the game. This is all just speculation but if this turns out to be true it would be awesome.
My theory on what he did with the toxin is he reverse-engineered it, before changing the formula, and isolating an even deeper section of the part of the brain that is responsible for fear, actually planting the fear of what the art gallery has lovingly named "Nightmare Batman" along with bringing that fear out at the same time.
Origin's multiplayer is still to this day one of my most fond childhood memories. It was unique, entertaining, the customization was pretty good and it was immersing. Never found anything similar to this day.
The occasional stuttering makes this so much easier to digest all of this info in one sitting. It feels like a friend talking about a game you both love rather than a narrator talking AT you for an hour and a half. Impressive as hell that this video exists and sorry if this sounds like a negative at first lol. Great video.
There's actualy a cop in the GCPD infermary who has been taking bets on wether ivy is dead or not, and he says he thinks her mind can live in plants if her body dies, so Ivy being alive is, in fact, explicitely mentioned as a possibility in the game. Also, I think talia's disapearing body could refer to her bodybag in the elliot memorial morgue being empty
I just found this out, in AA post game, if you return to Secure Transit in Intensive Treatment on the left side if you're entering from the predator room, there will be a pile of thug bodies plus 2 titan bodies lying on the floor, further proving the fact that the skeletons in Scarecrow's nightmares are in fact thugs and titans
Not sure what you are talking about, as I understand- you find out that skeletons in AA scarecrow worlds weren’t just hallucinations and they were real thugs, I mean, in 3rd interaction there were plenty of unconscious bodies right around Batman and it’s kinda super clear that skeletons are just real thugs
One thing that never gets mentionned and it’s crazy to me is that the shock gloves from Origins actually debuted in the WII U version of City, which was made by WB Montreal as well and in which Batman wears a new costume that has these overpowered gloves. Then WB just took the idea back and implemented it to Origins.
I always took the Batman on the floor in Joker's VGA speech as indicating this took place in the scene where Joker ambushes Batman and renders him unconscious before injecting Batman with his blood. It takes place in the same room, and I thought it was a hilarious Joker move to lollygag and give a speech while this important event was transpiring. I guess it makes sense that Batman would be dead, though.
54:07 It's definitely worth giving his first appearance comic a read. It's quite disturbing. His rats abduct the people who "wronged" him and kept them in an underground prison in the sewer, for so long that they went blind.
The demo for Asylum is actually a bit different to the section in the full game. The cutscene where you lead Joker through the Asylum is cut almost entirely, going from Batman driving into the facility straight to the Joker being thrown into the chamber that he escapes from. Everything we see in the full game, such as walking alongside Joker, Croc introduction, the elevator moment etc, was kept hidden.
Man, Killer Moth is just a really sad villain. He constantly tries proving he’s the Anti-Batman, but everyone treats him like a joke. Even in this video, Killer Moth is never called the Anti-Batman, but the Villain discussed right after him is immediately called that Ant-Batman. Justice for My boi Killer Moth.
Actually, I read something completely different from the Harley pregnancy tests. In Arkham Asylum, she tries this big flying kick that Batman easily stops by throwing her to the floor. He does the same thing in Arkham City when you first meet her at the church. Since the pregnancy test is there from the earliest point you can enter that room, I theorize that she had the positive pregnancy test before the church encounter. The fact that all the negative pregnancy tests can only be found after completing the game, I put it together that she *was* pregnant, but lost the baby. If I’m right, that means in a way Batman caused her pregnancy to fail by doing the same defense he’s probably done countless times.
To me, it's more likely she had a false positive test during the main game, and all the negative ones during HQR solidify that she was never pregnant. Scarface dressed up in makeup is just her coping with the fact that she will now never be pregnant with Joker's kid.
23:25 actually I believe it was explained in one of the Riddle Trophy stories that Calendar Man was originally using the Courthouse as his base, but then Two Face and his gang broke in and took over, locking Calendar Man up in the process
1:10:55 Actually, Joker did won the character of the year category and his acceptance animation was shown in the ceremony, Wheatley only won for the best male performer.
This is what happens, when you write a good and somehow relatable villain and even show his backstory and motives. This gives actors, watchers, comic readers, players and many more the idea how that villain should be, behave and be seen by others.
For the Jason Todd one, he was kept in that room but was constantly moved about, this is also shown in the wheelchair that he was kept in, you can see it next door to that room, it’s still spinning because joker was in a rush to keep him hidden
The theory at 1:27:54 seems to have a few plot holes in it at first glance, but some Arkham players, including myself, have brainstormed ideas to try and make this theory valid. So here I am to defend this theory. In Arkham City, Batman only takes half a dose of the cure, saving the other half for Joker. Since he didn't take the entire dose, he's still slightly infected, but not enough to experience any major mental or physical changes. Joker did make some small appearances and moderately influenced Batman, but it was nothing extremely serious like losing control of his mind. After experiencing these symptoms, this was when Batman thought that he could turn into the Joker at any point in time. These symptoms were probably the worst thing that Batman would have experienced given that he was mostly cured of the Joker's blood already, but he was still paranoid. This paranoia turned into his greatest fear. We all know that fear toxin targets a person's worst fears and makes them come to life. After he inhaled some of the fear toxin, this fear was what caused the Joker to become much more than a whispering voice in Batman's head, multiple times trying to and coming quite close to successfully taking over Batman's mind. Yes, technically Batman is still infected even though the theory is all about Batman NOT being infected, but the main point still stands - the main cause of Batman turning into the Joker was because of his fears coming to life as a result of inhaling fear toxin, not because of being infected with Joker's blood. His slight infection played a part in developing this fear, but not in taking over Batman. Now look I don't know much about the science behind this stuff other than what I learned in school, so I could very well be wrong. There might also be other plot holes to this theory as well, making me completely incorrect. I'm just trying to find ways to justify this theory.
The riddler being out of bounds to be on a screen is actually pretty common in games. It was first used by valve in half life 2 for sequences where Dr. Breen and Dr. Kleiner are on various screens in the game. If it's prerendered, it'll look wierd compared to other characters in the scene.
I once read a very interesting theory about the Demon Batman at the end, that says that this is actually the Batman Beyond suit from AK, along with the fear toxin effect. In all other Arkham games, the Batman Beyond suit appears as it was in the animated show, except in AK, where it's more robotic and realistic, and has many similar characteristics to the Demon Batman ( red eyes, red bat symbol, boosters at the feet that gives the feeling he's levitating from the ground, biggest exception being the lack of a cape in said suit )
I love how this man take the time to confirm batman was Bruce Wayne through the game-specific lore as opposed to the almost 100 years of him being the most popular super hero of all time that every human over 5 knows is bruce Wayne. I speak for all when i say We love the effort in rhe videos.
@WandaVision Enthusiast too bad wandavision made by a multi-billion dollar industry does not contain the level of writing as the videos this hard working youtuber makes.....to be honest, Wandavision writing is less quality than a poem written in the air by my 4 year old illiterate niece
When I saw Joker (2019) with a friend, I had to explain her that the kid in the Wayne Manor was Bruce Wayne... and then explain that Bruce Wayne would be Batman
At 23:18, it is explained how Julien Day got into that cell in Arkham City. He was using the courthouse as a base, and whoever went into the courthouse ended up locked up in those cells and was eventually killed when the nearest holiday came. He did that until Two-face took over the courthouse and threw Calender Man into one of those cells.
Another secret death scene is if you somehow fail to blow up the floor beneath Croc when he chases you in Asylum you get a first person view of Croc pinning you down and eating you, kinda dark but it luckily doesn't show too much. Also return to Arkham also allows Joker to be playable even on xbox so it is worth checking out.
I just want to point out that Croc in the Iceberg Lounge actually makes perfect sense, it's a place for the inmates to "chill" out and Croc is an inmate. Also, him smoking a cigar is probably equal to a normal person with a cigarette due to his size.
33:56 I’m surprised the secret joker message wasn’t mentioned during this one. It’s always been one of my favorite secrets. When you rewind the rewind thing you get joker saying something along the lines of “thanks for the ride bats”. Super creepy and super cool!
As for the knightfall protocol cutscene, I always interpreted it as "the idea of Batman is what stops crime" which was the whole point of him. Sure the man is dead, but now he showed Gotham that criminals are the ones that need to be afraid, not the good people. A metaphor if you will about how he "put the fear into a criminal heart" enough to stop the same thing that happend to him from happening to others.

@@edwardsworington6022 That's something that's bothered me ever since the trailer came out with him in it. Then I did some digging and saw a comment stating the meaning of Knightfall Protocol could be that Batman is killing the identity of Bruce Wayne so he can be Batman full time - which I think makes a lot of sense if you see it that way. Batman and Alfred are saying goodbye to Bruce Wayne, and perhaps Batman using the fear toxin will help people actually think Bruce is really dead or something. I'm not really sure tho, this was all based on what that commentor said.
When it comes to the "Suicide Drones" I can also understand wanting to remove it from a gameplay perspective. There are a lot of gamers out there who HATE enemy types that run at the player and than explode.
I can kind of explain the Talia situation. Talia’s body missing in the theater is most likely a mistake but what happens after city was not. If you go to Elliot Memorial Hospital, you will find the morgue with many bodies from the diner at the beginning of Arkham knight. One body is noticeably gone and of course it’s Talia’s. The league of assassins most likely took her body and revived her using the remaining Lazarus from ra’s. That’s just my take on it though!
Either that or the League of Assassins took her to a funeral because there are 2 factions that was in the League of Assassins, and to my memory, both sides leader were saying that Talia was dead.
There actually is an explanation for Calendar Man being locked up. In one of the Arkham City stories, it explains that he was originally the one to set up shop in the Courthouse, but when Two-Face's crew rolled in, they kicked him out and locked him up down there.

Ivy "living" throgh her plants is totally something that could happen and has precedents in the comics, also, I don't think it undermines her sacrifice as even if she does come back it will take a long time and won't erase the pain as suffering she went through.
Reminds me of the ancient belief shared by many different cultures and tribes, that spirits exists in inanimate objects of nature, like trees or rocks.
My personal theory for what the Knightfall ending is, is that it's not actually Batman we see at the end. Throughout the game, if you spend enough time just flying around, listening to NPC dialogue, you can hear them talk about what happened after the Cloudburst was activated and Ivy cleaned up the toxin. Some Thugs and Militia members will talk about the fear toxin and how it affected them, and they will talk about how even though the toxin is gone and the city has gone back to normal, the toxin's effects never really go away. What this means is that it could be years down the line, and people are still experiencing the effects of the toxin. We also know that Azrael is put in line to be the heir to the cowl. I believe that this is Azrael, and because of the effects of the fear toxin, just the sight of Batman sends criminal's into fear-fueled PTSD psychosis.
That doesn't really make sense. If you make Azrael leave the clock tower, he goes after the Order of St. Dumas. If you have him attack Batman, then azrael gets locked up
The Azrael that takes up the mantle was a different person, also after all that mess was cleaned up Dick put on the cowl during Prodigy while Bruce went on to tie up loose ends and continue his recovery after the Knightfall, Kights Quest, Knights End. Not unlike the Court of Owl the order of St. Dumas always has someone fulfilling the role of Azrael. Most likely it is Bruce operating “beyond the grace” or Dick taking up the role.
Fun Fact the Poison Ivey being dead debate falls into a theory that Ivey is actually a plant clone of the original Ivey the theory basically runs off of how plants die off in winter and come back in spring.
@@thejirenplayerofalltime8981 I know honestly one of the greatest things abt the series was the ending was up to interpretation now it’s just ya Batman somehow survived and is now mind controlled by brainiac so he’s been alive the whole time
The Knightfall protocol: I believe that Bruce hung up the cape and left Gotham along with Alfred. He had eliminated all the major crimes and established a legend that would protect Gotham in his absence and if any crime bosses do show up he has got a gang ready for them. It's similar to Christopher Nolan's Trilogy. The spooky batman is because of Scarecrow's toxin. As all the criminals were not evacuated and inhaled the fear toxin during the Cloudburst arc they were scared of Batman and that's what will keep all the criminals from any crimes. The stories of such criminals will ward off others and Batman will truly become a myth. Always unseen and ever-present.
@Spoods Noodle Doodles Mr.Based gave a not-based opinion and I asked for base. He did not got the base. Now defeated, Mr.Based retracted his not-based comment for the greater good.
I think taliahs body disappearing is a nod to the fact the order grabbed her body possibly to give her a ceremonial burial but also possibly to maybe revive her or at least plan to revive her by finding another Lazarus pit the game developers wouldn’t have made a mistake like that especially seeing as she was a main love interest for Batman aside from cat woman who has more of a flirtatious relationship with Batman taliah loved him and he cared for her he wouldn’t have left her body there and only carried out joker he would have went back for her or carried them both out
Just like Harley before her, Taliah has to realize that Batman has only one love : the Joker, and vice versa, the sooner she realizes this the better for her
Okay, but how would they retrieve her though? Did they just waltz in and drag the body out while Batman was having his confrontation with Clayface? More than likely, it's just a continuity error brought on by them not wanting there to be a dead body in the middle of the arena for the final boss of the game.
Guys, you might be surprised to know this top of the iceberg fact. But... The bomb's payload is exposed, Batman can use the power winch to trigger a controlled explosion.
It’s been years but if I REMEMBER correctly… in the Arkham asylum demo, when you’re navigating through the ventilation shafts right after joker escapes, the entire shaft begins to shake as if it’s an earthquake. But in the actual game no such thing happens .. small detail ik :-)
I would like to point out that in Arkham knight whenever you see flashback of Jason being tortured by the Joker you can also notice the circle symbol with the Spirit of Arkham was present in each flashback
I love that the Militia talks about Joker running for President and it makes me wonder if Lex Luthor has or will run for office in the Arkham universe like in the comics
I believe the KnightFall Protocol is Bruce using the fear toxin. For decades criminals were scared of the Batman. Once his identity was revealed, they saw him as a normal human, but the fear of the Batman never left. For criminals, it will always be in the back of their head, a ''what if?'' When they see a Batman-like figure on the rooftop, they act tough just like any other NPC did in the game, but imagine believing the Batman is dead and you suddenly see a Batman-like figure on a rooftop glaring at you. I'd be scared as hell, which makes the fear toxin even more effective.
I find the ending scene symbolizing the Bat in general and not just Batman. Many years ago, my nephew had the idea saying that "The man died, but the Bat still lives regardless." This kind of may hint that Batman, either inadvertently or advertently set the Bat free. Idk but I find this topic interesting
That's pretty much what happens in the Tales from the Dark Multiverse's version of Knightfall. Bruce, having been left just a head, after Azrael's assault, ends up getting saved decades later, but see his old ways of crimefighting no longer being relevant. So, he becomes a swarm of bats and seeks to kill all who had destroyed his city.
you don't understand how good of a comentator/arkham youtuber you are because this is my number 1 comfort video i go back to every couple months and i'm still not bored.
Also he literally teamed up with scarecrow and has a lot of determination being able to you know defeat the tear gas. This along with some other stuff in this video make me kinda eye roll
I’m surprised nobody talks about the big hidden Cyrus Gold quest from Arkham Origins. I stayed on that mystery for something like a year before finding all the clues and getting the conclusion in a secret room that I always found locked before and it solved the mystery of the last biography character that was missing in the game.
I gotta say, the collectibles in AO are the worst, as (if I recall correctly) there are no in-game maps for the Anarchy signs or the Cyrus Gold things, so besides the ones I find accidentaly, I've yet to finish collecting them all.
@@kacpernowak1535 for the anarchy signs, I would say, they should’ve done something like find them like the riddler mysteries (not the trophies)from asylum and city, but they should’ve put it on the map as you said. For Cyrus Gold, I really like the idea to make it a hidden case, but again, they should have done some kind of riddles that the player should think about to find the next spot, like the black dallia murderer from LA Noire. You’re right when you say that we can only find it randomly, but I like the core idea tbh.
The "scarecrow thugs" were a bug in the game I'm pretty sure. In the return to Arkham version I found a few bugs were ironed out and I remembered the "scarecrow thugs" so went to found some yet there were none to be found. Instead it was just Joker, Penguin and Two-Face thugs I found. So I assume it was a bug
It 100% was. I've seen an out of bounds video on city where someone took the free cam into the water with tiny and those same models were used for the thugs in the water. They just somehow glitched into being there on the rooftops in protocol 10.
@@monkeydlogan I'm not sure for me it's the fact they don't really have their own designs and they're glitched looking textures. When you look at some they look like discoloured joker thugs which makes me believe it was an oversight in the base game
idk if it's been mentioned, but Ivy being able to transfer to new bodies has some precedent. in the animated series and the new adventures of batman, it's revealed that the Ivy we know was a plant clone she grew of herself.
My favourite theory for the whole Harley pregnancy thing is that Batman kills the baby. t the start of the game Batman throws Harley on the ground and she lands on her stomach, this theory states that the positive pregnancy test in the base game is a true positive and she was in the early stages of pregnancy. Then Batman throws her on the ground disrupting the embryo and causing a miscarriage. Harley then keeps trying pregnancy tests hoping the baby is still alive but after a while she gives up and puts scar face and the positive pregnancy test in the crib as a way of coping.
This is actually a very sad and very plausible theory except for one big problem. If Batman was really responsible for the baby's death then Harley would have beaten him over the head with it for forever and a day. Repeatedly mocking him for killing both her "husband" Joker and her child. It just doesn't make sense for Harley to just quietly put it aside and not weaponize it against Batman in her quest for vengeance. It doesn't work with her character.
@@dragonlord1935 Yeah because he's breaking his one rule and an unborn baby at that. Both Joker pre-death and Harley would mock and berate the living shit out of him. It would also be something that would need a response from him he'd figure it out and have true guilt.
In Origins, Penguin's pre-recorded message explaining the history of the Final Offer states that the ship was originally christened the Olivia B. Meredith, which must be a reference to Burgess Meredith, who played Penguin in the 60's TV series.
16:52 another detail you missed with clayface joker is that during the mirror scene before the fight, the sick joker and clayface are holding hands, and for a second when it pans to clayface, joker just leaves off screen, further proving that clayface isn't joker
Im sure its already been talked ab by now, but another interesting detail about fake joker is that, clayface will always refer to Batman as Batman, but the real joker never uses batman, he always gives him a nickname, mainly "Bats"
My personal theory for the pregnancy thing is that it was a false positive, but she believed it to be real and that she miscarried. My reasoning for this is that they wouldn't include that on the box if we weren't supposed to take it at face value, and very early in the game there's a brief moment where Harley is worried about the safety of her baby. Kind of a blink and you'll miss it moment, but when you throw her in the church, as soon as she hits the ground she places her hand on her stomach almost like she was worried. My personal theory is there never was a baby, but that moment of her being injured prompted her to take new tests because she feared she miscarried. Tests came up negative, she snapped because Batman "killed Joker AND their child," and that's what prompted the bit about stealing Scarface, painting him like Joker and treating him like a baby 31:38 Also! Not so fun fact! A pretty gross one actually! In the comics the two are VERY sexually active and there's a very high chance it's one of the only things he kept her around for. I don't recall the name of the story in question but there is even a story arc in which Joker deliberately tries to knock up Harley so he had an "heir." She wasn't cool with it, though. If anyone remembers when that took place I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you. The somewhat child like joke of Joker not being able to do the deed made me scroll through the comments looking for someone to mention that Harley and Mr. J absolutely had a sexual, albeit, toxic relationship. Joker had no issues "doing the deed" with her.
@@Sskytzo OMG me too, I was like, dude what? Joker and Harley don't do the deed? Pretty sure that's at least 30% of the reason he keeps her around along with a lackey to carry out plans, a patsy to sacrifice so he can escape, and a liberator when caught.
I have a theory about the 425 thing. Assuming the Wayne Manor map is just a Augmented Reality training exercise and therefore canon to the game, Cell 425 would be the first sign of Batman being tainted with Joker's blood. And he started having that nightmare of ending up in Cell 425 over and over again.
I think the "Talia's body is missing" entry refers to her body being missing from the Elliot Memorial Hospital morgue. In there is a spot labeled "Talia Al Ghul" that is opened and empty
Another piece of evidence that batman actually was infected with the joker is that both Henry Adams and Tim Drake were able to see it- which was the reason why Henry shot himself, and that Tim locked batman in the cell. They could physically see his symptoms.
I'd like to add that during the Crime Alley Investigation in Origins, there are a few split moments during the murder reconstruction where you can see the bodies of Thomas and Martha Wayne on top of the white silhouette on the ground. You can see this moment once towards the end of the crime reconstruction. I tried a couple more times after the initial attempt I noticed this but it does not show. I haven't tried restarting it yet to see if it works, but there are videos on UA-cam showing this.
@@kacpernowak1535 It was one reference I was expecting when I first visited the scene. Perhaps it wasn't visualized the way I imagined, but it's still a great nod itself and fitting given the similarities of the murders.
I played this game last year, 2023 and when the AA 'crash" happened I thought my save was gone until I saw the Madhouse sign, left a little reassurance, still frightened me, no one wants to restart.

My additions to the subject: - They actually did explain why calander man is in a cell, just in an arkham city story I believe. He was the first one to take the courthouse when he got to arkham city but two face found it, took it over and threw calander man in the cell in the basement and refused to let him out. - I think with the spirit of Amadeus inhabiting sharp that it was revealed in city to be Hugo. In the tapes, you hear strange manipulate mad hatter while in the asylum into creating hypnotic drugs for strange to use on sharp. If I'm not mistaken that's why sharp goes into such a crazed state, to which Hugo uses that as leverage against sharp in case he tries to cross him. - With Jason, I think that is where he was tortured personally. The reason I think that is because there is an arkham knight story that says Jason went to the asylum and to the sanatorium to find joker, to which he was captured in the elevator. It's possible it was abandoned at that point in time and by the events of asylum, it was redone and access was opened once again. - As for the "scarecrow thugs", they are the thug texture of the dead bodies in tiny's tank, just spawned in those places instead for some reason. - Also, you can assume why croc is in the iceberg lounge because there are banners that say "happy birthday penguin". Croc was the only guest to show up, though who knows why he was invited. - That fun fact about the anti-piracy is hilarious. They must've felt pretty stupid after doing that. I'm amazed that ive heard of the grapple into the void but never heard of it straight up being disabled, it's pretty genius. And for my most in-depth thought, I personally subscribe to the theory that joker is a manifestation of fear rather than a sickness relating to joker in knight. We know batman blames himself for jokers death, almost like he killed him. The other characters say that they think something has been different about batman since the events of city, which in my mind would be batman struggling with the thought of possibly being no different than someone like joker. His grip on his sanity starts to loosen and he starts to wonder what would happen if he lost control (thus starting his nightmares about joker taking over and his actions being influenced by these nightmares, as seen with the batmobile redesign). I think the fear toxin finally brought those thoughts to a climax where batman had to fully face them. He even loses at the end, which is signaled by joker talking to and laughing at scarecrow in the ending sequence. In that instance, batman lost control and gave in to joker. But then he's hit with more toxin, and that in turn brings out jokers fears (since he's the one in control). That allows batman to use jokers fears against him to take his mind back, banish his fears to the abyss and win the day in the end.
Boogity. This entry is a reference to people commenting "Boogity" and receiving a heart from Clownpuncher. This can be said at almost anytime and always gets a heart which suggest that Clownpuncher reads all his comments. Nice iceberg video!
In arkham knight, one of the thugs dialogs for scarecrow is "you see what the boss did to himself" I think he did that to his face on purpose so he would evoke more fear to everyone who sees him.

There’s one unique death screen that he missed if you’re playing Batman Arkham night and before scarecrow blows up half of the blimp instead of pressing act to attack if you stand there and wait scarecrow hit you with toxic Batman rolls over and dies. Super unique since I don’t think anyone has had that ever.
A small detail that I don't see get a lot of mention is that Batman almost always refers to Killer Croc with his birth name, Weylon Jones, while most other characters just calls him Croc or "it". No matter how mutated Croc becomes over the games, Batman still sees him as a person, as a human being.
I noticed that too it’s honestly cool and I think it’s nice he still sees him as human even after everything he’s done
You’re looking too deep into it, he feels sympathy for him, obviously. But he does not respect him whatsoever
In the Arkham city, killer croc Easter egg, Batman does refer to him as “Croc” so this isn’t entirely true
It’s a tactic used to try to potentially convince villains to turn over a new leaf. Thats why he always calls Two-Face Harvey, etc. Of course he can’t do this with the Joker because nobody really knows his true identity.
@@albinsaji1592 I'm sure it's because Batman was poisoned and just wasn't dealing with him at the moment

Fun fact: I wasn't scared of the game crashing in Asylum when I first played it, because I was about 8 years old and couldn't really get what was supposed to happen. What *does* get me is stories of people never finishing the game because they thought the crash was *that* real.

There is actually one other time, too
In combat encounters, rather than predator encounters, the last enemy left standing becomes terrified, while all others throughout the fight are nervous, it doesn't change anything about that enemy's behaviour, but it definitely does happen, and I'm certain I've seen it affect TYGER Guards as well.
@@FinbarGallagheri will assume its because like thugs, tyger guards aren't as good with hand to hand striking as batman is.
It's neat.

I think the Cain and Abel symbolism is actually that Batman FEELS it's his first kill. He didn't save him so he feels that he was responsible for the Joker's death.
Yes, it comes across as him feeling the anguish and guilt of Cain for failing to save someone he has spared time and time again
Bible?
@@OrthodoxAlexis Yep. A story in the Bible.
Agreed he was hidden in Amadeus Arkham's old cell
In the Batman Arkham knight comic Jason escaped the asylum during the events so Joker never hid him ua-cam.com/video/1N8H8dvw3II/v-deo.html

Dini had no inclusion in knight whatsoever?

Heres a fun fact about the "live-action" trailers:
Here in my country, Hungary, when the AC cinematic trailer came out, a morning show actually believed it to be the trailer for the next Nolan Batman movie, and had a film critic on who talked for like 10 minutes about what he thought about it.

🤣 now that is hilarious
Honestly the saddest thing in the arkham games is edward burke, he lost his daughter, wasted years of his time working on a useless park, got betrayed by what he believed were his friends, and had a horrifying, brutal death.
That batgirl dlc was really good
honestly the Matter of Family is super eerie in terms of story and ambience by the setting, especially after hearing the last audio tape in his room and seeing his lifeless skeleton in his bed (hinting at the achievement all Snug in Their Beds).
Seeing it destroyed is going to be upsetting
But I can see a silver lining: I say Bruce and Alfred are still out there, just laying low. They're probably sitting on a beach right now, waiting for whoever is able to see them
I know it works either way but I still believe that he was asking Bruce if he wanted to destroy his (I think last good) place with memories of his family.
Alfred is staying with Batman, but saying goodbye to Bruce

36:05 I'm so happy the AA demo got acknowledged. I remember being super young replaying it over and over and absolutely adoring it.

What really surprises me is how Calander Man has managed to successfully overpower and kill other people for a long time despite his appearance.
I guess he's a prime example of not judging a book by its cover.
@@CCaster2000 Calender man is literally the 2nd most powerful Batman villain, only beaten by Condiment King
So I believe this is foreshadowing that Batman will continue to protect the city and be using fear toxin in the near future to scare criminals even after his public death.
that’s a reallly good point. he probably does use the toxin!

Where does it say that?
Pretty sure some of the conversations about his face go on and have it summed up as “yeah..that’s not a mask he sewed his own face like that”..which tends to make the one who asked grossed out on learning that
Scarecrow may be evil but he's not insane - surely since he's a doctor he'd have enough medical knowledge to not sow something into even mangled flesh. The infection risk would be too great for him, I suspect.
@@M.H.I.A.F.T. he’s a dr of psychology don’t think he’d know much about sewing on parts of his face n stuff like that, sorry about your hamster btw x

Correct me if i'm wrong but there aren't any other enemies in the game that (could) have acted liked how the joker would look in his alternative mutated form/ It'd be cool to see how the titan formula made people transform differently, with some being big and strong and others becoming long and more stealthy. What with having to go into hiding and any semblance of a normal life being gone, I'm not surprised they sounded somber. Also, having to blow up the manor which has housed the Wayne family for generations would be sad.

What do you mean could be? He IS gone forever, joker did took over Bruce's mind and now the only one that remains is Batman
A hint to this is at the end of first hallucination of playing as joker, joker says to Alfred that master Bruce is gone but don't worry new master is coming home

Look for Batman 666 ..it may be Demian
My theory on what he did with the toxin is he reverse-engineered it, before changing the formula, and isolating an even deeper section of the part of the brain that is responsible for fear, actually planting the fear of what the art gallery has lovingly named "Nightmare Batman" along with bringing that fear out at the same time.

The cutscene where you lead Joker through the Asylum is cut almost entirely, going from Batman driving into the facility straight to the Joker being thrown into the chamber that he escapes from.
That means he killed the baby
What if you don't counter Harley in the church though?
Bat-Abortion
To me, it's more likely she had a false positive test during the main game, and all the negative ones during HQR solidify that she was never pregnant. Scarface dressed up in makeup is just her coping with the fact that she will now never be pregnant with Joker's kid.

I was thinking this, but i couldn’t put it into words.
I love this take, but apparently he’s gonna be in suicide squad, so at the very least Bruce is still alive after Arkham knight :/
There are a lot of gamers out there who HATE enemy types that run at the player and than explode.

honestly ivy not dying makes sense. in almost every media ivy is in, if she dies a flower usually sprouts and she’s reborn
She could've been resurrected as a Talon.
There actually is an explanation for Calendar Man being locked up. In one of the Arkham City stories, it explains that he was originally the one to set up shop in the Courthouse, but when Two-Face's crew rolled in, they kicked him out and locked him up down there.
no lie the calendar man scene was honestly the most interesting in my opinion!!

Ivy "living" throgh her plants is totally something that could happen and has precedents in the comics, also, I don't think it undermines her sacrifice as even if she does come back it will take a long time and won't erase the pain as suffering she went through.
Yes
Reminds me of the ancient belief shared by many different cultures and tribes, that spirits exists in inanimate objects of nature, like trees or rocks.
Right. Even in the Harley Quinn show at the end of Season 1 Ivy came back from the Dead
I don't get why people don't understand that about Ivy
Fun Fact the Poison Ivey being dead debate falls into a theory that Ivey is actually a plant clone of the original Ivey the theory basically runs off of how plants die off in winter and come back in spring.
good theory except suicide squad ruins it
@@thejirenplayerofalltime8981 I know honestly one of the greatest things abt the series was the ending was up to interpretation now it’s just ya Batman somehow survived and is now mind controlled by brainiac so he’s been alive the whole time
The Knightfall protocol: I believe that Bruce hung up the cape and left Gotham along with Alfred.

I think taliahs body disappearing is a nod to the fact the order grabbed her body possibly to give her a ceremonial burial but also possibly to maybe revive her or at least plan to revive her by finding another Lazarus pit the game developers wouldn’t have made a mistake like that especially seeing as she was a main love interest for Batman aside from cat woman who has more of a flirtatious relationship with Batman taliah loved him and he cared for her he wouldn’t have left her body there and only carried out joker he would have went back for her or carried them both out
He was busy carrying his true love, Joker.
Joe Biden is the best president ever
Guys, you might be surprised to know this top of the iceberg fact. But...
The bomb's payload is exposed, Batman can use the power winch to trigger a controlled explosion.

Batman needs to be standing near a road or looking at a road to call the Batmobile.

@@SpiderMan-gf1lc it’s just making fun of Batman: Arkham Knight for recycling this line every single time you destroy a landmine
I love that the Iceberg Lounge is the background in the beginning of this video and also Batman does not have nightmares, nightmares have Batman.
Joker's Bats! Bats! BAAAATS! is a hommage to Metal Gear Solid
His other personality haunts the streets of Gotham. 😯
This is the stupidest theory I’ve ever read why would you even say this?
@@adamriggs2698 why so salty over a video game theory Adam?
That's pretty much what happens in the Tales from the Dark Multiverse's version of Knightfall. Bruce, having been left just a head, after Azrael's assault, ends up getting saved decades later, but see his old ways of crimefighting no longer being relevant. So, he becomes a swarm of bats and seeks to kill all who had destroyed his city.

But… the game file literally calls the guy jason_todd_demon.
Really? Lmfao I’ve found them in return to Arkham
I dont think its a glitch. Just a small detail the “remastered” developers didnt do their homework on.
@@monkeydlogan I'm not sure for me it's the fact they don't really have their own designs and they're glitched looking textures. When you look at some they look like discoloured joker thugs which makes me believe it was an oversight in the base game
@@monkeydlogan For me, the pitch black bits gave it away for me, that's usually what happens when a texture bugs out, and I've seen it happen before.
idk if it's been mentioned, but Ivy being able to transfer to new bodies has some precedent. in the animated series and the new adventures of batman, it's revealed that the Ivy we know was a plant clone she grew of herself.
Damn Batman you a harsh mf...
That's a cool theory and really sad.
Batman is Pro-Life-Choice
Tests came up negative, she snapped because Batman "killed Joker AND their child," and that's what prompted the bit about stealing Scarface, painting him like Joker and treating him like a baby
31:38 Also!
This was also my interpretation of the pregnancy tests. I'm surprised there is so much mystery around it.
The Asylum crash absolutely scared me I was on my 2nd 360 after the first Red ringed.
@@SoyboyPeter it was actually fear toxin that made me look like that I was not infected
Yes! I thought it'd be included in the video. It's honestly very creepy.
@@kacpernowak1535 It was one reference I was expecting when I first visited the scene. Perhaps it wasn't visualized the way I imagined, but it's still a great nod itself and fitting given the similarities of the murders.
It would’ve definitely have been Riddler’s blood. He’s so obsessive he’d make himself bleed to write his riddles.
I played this game last year, 2023 and when the AA 'crash" happened I thought my save was gone until I saw the Madhouse sign, left a little reassurance, still frightened me, no one wants to restart.

My additions to the subject:
- They actually did explain why calander man is in a cell, just in an arkham city story I believe.

Because it is technically a fourth wall break and in universe

In arkham knight, one of the thugs dialogs for scarecrow is "you see what the boss did to himself" I think he did that to his face on purpose so he would evoke more fear to everyone who sees him.
yeah its pretty intresting isn't it?

There’s one unique death screen that he missed if you’re playing Batman Arkham night and before scarecrow blows up half of the blimp instead of pressing act to attack if you stand there and wait scarecrow hit you with toxic Batman rolls over and dies. Super unique since I don’t think anyone has had that ever.
I think the reasons Scarecrow's hand holds the titan are:
1. Showing he was alive
2. Maybe he used titan to build his gas in Knight
