Wow great find as i was living in Macc and went to this gig . It was one of the first i went to as a young boy as no travel was needed as i lived about 1km away off Kennedy Avenue !
Missed the last train. Copper moved us off the platform and to the local bus depot where the the boss let us crash until the morning in the warm, and gave us hot tea and sandwiches. I sincerely hope those two kind men lived long happy lives.
[0:01 As It Is When It Was] [5:18 Love Vigilantes] [10:14 Blue Monday] [18:00 Sooner Than You Think] [23:41 This Time of Night] [28:27 Elegia] [34:13 Denial] [38:36 Sunrise] [44:19 Face Up] [50:16 The Perfect Kiss]
Went to this gig with a couple of friends, we were right at the front and i remember Hooky using his bass to have a go at someone who must have pissed him off. The Happy Mondays were an awesome support act.

Drove up from Ipswich with my best mate to see this one and then back again afterwards. Happy Mondays were support.
We were there. I’ve still got a few photo’s.
Would be great to see them someday!
This rendition of "As It Is When It Was "... what a beautiful thing, Thanks!
This gig was their tribute to Curtis.

❤️thank you
I was there! Holy shit :D
I was there also, couldn't hear anything for three days as i sat next to the huge speaker. Great gig!!!
Brilliant thanks for adding, bought "Low Life" in HMV in Manchester as soon as it came out. Under-rated album
Nothing underated about Low Life or any New Order album in my opinion!
Phenomenal rendition of "Elegia"
There was a massive fight going on through most of Elegia!
Thanks a lot pyrtwist! You've put this together really well. Great to hear for the first time
LOL I was their one of my first gigs thx for the add
D E N I A L ! Energy and fury, what a gig!
Phenomenal version of Denial. Such a brilliant track.
wonder why they just used a simple sequenced beat for Sooner than you Think here? it wasnt until the end that i could hear any real drums
I did the Salford one two days before, did bands play Macc leisure centre on a regular basis at the time ?
Was that the gig at University of Salford? The only time they played The Kiss of Death.
Yes Salford University, Happy Mondays as support again, great photos by the way.
