I am a vampire in every sense except for the blood part. I know it sounds silly like I'm trying to sound edgy but I have to take methadone every day since I was a heroin addict and I decided to quit. Nothing in this world is more vampire like than a heroin addiction. It starts out romantic and you feel you've found something that can actually help you if you're careful. You feel that you're in control yet you know that what you are doing is wrong. Before you know it you are an addicted fiend. Literally over night it can happen. A lot of the time the first time using heroin is introduced by someone who is already a fiend themselves.. Romanticizing it and enticing you into trying it despite everything inside of you telling you not to do it.. One moment of weakness.. Will change your life forever. You slowly start to isolate yourself.. The person you were before begins to fade away.. All of your old friends, lovers, and even family begin to fall by the wayside.. All the while you are too hypnotized to realize or even care that your life as you knew it is slipping away.. You cannot dare tell others of your transition... Out of fear of judgement and persecution which actually does happen. People begin to see a real darkness inside of you. The light in your eyes becomes dimmer and dimmer.. Until eventually just a cold vacant gaze is all people see when they look at you.. Which is why they would rather stay away.. You stop eating.. Sleeping.. Bathing.. Socializing for any reason other than to get your next fix.. Becoming incredibly manipulative.. Stealing.. Lying.. Whatever it takes to keep from withering away without your fix... Pretty soon you can only socialize with other vampires who like you are now fiends of the night. Truly lost within their own torment and damnation... Forever looking back... Reminiscing with a heavy heart the days before you first took the poison.. Wishing with all of your might that you had never crossed paths with the one who brought you into this dark and miserable world.... Sorry yall I just thought I'd share the similarity I saw with addiction and vampirism years ago when I was still using. Very grateful to say I haven't touched the stuff for over a few years now but it's been difficult getting off of the methadone I got onto. I'm tapering off and I should be completely off this year. I hope nobody reads this and sees it in any way as romanticizing drug use because I cannot possibly stress enough how one time is all it takes. Someone told me that before I ever tried it and I thought to myself.. "Yeah but that's them and I know me. I wouldn't let myself get addicted especially if I only tried it once.." If I had one wish in my life I would go back and listen to what my friend Isaac told me. If you try it.. Your life will forever be divided into two parts... The days before you ever tried heroin.. And the days after.. And you will wish for the rest of your life that you had never done that to yourself. Please... Let my years of agony and misery in addiction serve as an example. Please. Don't do it to yourself. Not even once. If anyone ever tries to offer you heroin or hard drugs THEY ARE TRYING TO KILL YOU. Despite how close of a friend they've been to you or how long you've know them. Don't participate in your own killing and the destruction of your life and devastation of all those around you.
Love gothic music been listening to this genre of music since 1985... It makes me feel bittersweetly happy... like longing for something in the past that I lost, and want to find and regain... oh my memories where have you gone...

2 years ago, still listen to it. I was talking about Darkwave music to a friend and pointed out that most if not all the bands in this genre, keep its dignity intact. Perhaps by its very nature its not corrupted. It wouldn't be Darkwave if it was.
I am listening to this in an oversized black sweater and black fishnets drinking a bear at midnight in a motel room abroad. The only light in the room is from the tv with some movies from the 50s in German. They said live your best life 😂

that just gives me devil man crybaby vibes

For real, but we’ll settle for a night drive, a slow walk down an empty street. Or a lonely listen in a dark room.
Ahhh, all the fun nights dancing at the Castle nightclub, Ybor/Tampa, FL.
