    I do knuckleups on the concrete outside my job and when I get a chance to. They help develop your shoulders into Boulder shoulders (3D style) and they help build grip strength, forearm strength, and calluses on the knuckles and outer hand. It’s good to have calluses on the inner hand, but I’ll be honest I gotta start being more consistent doing knuckleups so I can have strong hands all around.

    I did 30-40 knuckle pushups for 8 years nearly every day. You get a nice punch. Now after 10 years pause, I am sure, that a punch would still hit hard. The hardened knuckle skin stayed. Before you challenge someone look at his knuckles, if they have the hardened skin, let it be.

    I have disabled ass hands my whole live due to a severe case of dysgraphia/developmental coordination disorder, so I cannot do pushups on flat hands because I can't flatten my hands on the ground. So naturally, I can only do knuckle push ups, but I never thought to balance on mostly or just your first two knuckles before, that is a fantastic pro tip! I thought as someone with a black belt in karate and more importantly, as someone who can only do knuckle push ups, I wouldn't learn anything from this video, but I was wrong.

    My dad who has passed always said to pull back your punch milliseconds before they land. They land just as hard but dont break your wrist. The pushing through a punch breaks wrist and pinky fingers

      @Light Yagami i think hes saying dont dig into your opponent. go in and out quick.

    • @FourNNNN
      @FourNNNN 3 роки тому

      @Light Yagami With punches, going all the way is useless because all your doing is pushing after the initial contact

      @V i y s s yes I always was told to imagine you are punching through the person

    • @parkerjeans5777
      @parkerjeans5777 3 роки тому

      @@om-qg7ju the thing is your not punching through a person. Your pushing the bag. Go to a boxing gym and see the force you put into a bag when you push it with your fist vs the guy who's been doing it for years. Bet you that he hits harder and doesnt push through his punches. All your doing is putting unnecessary force on your bones,tendons, muscles. When you punch through you also are not ready for the next punch fast enough. You cant combo punching through. The only time punching through works is when your twice the size of your opponent.

    There's a 7th benefit: if you have shoulder impingement issues, doing push ups on your knuckles is is kinder on them, because your hands are in a neutral position.

    I used to do knuckle push ups but we had a carpet back then. Now our tiles are marble so it really hurts so i switched to claw push ups... Its really hard the last time i tried as if i felt my joints poppin. Im getting weaker I guess.

      After watching "Master" i started punching walls for fun and now i don't even feel any pain after hitting at full speed towards those poor bricks. I honestly don't know if the knuckle push up helped me or was it because of me practising by punching on the walls

    I think my knuckles are naturally hard since I boxed since childhood. I started just punching at wood and metal when I’m bored now I remember though a couple years ago I was hitting a heavy bag with a lot of force it didn’t hurt my knuckles but my wrist was injured for a couple days.
