This is a really cool product but also GREAT demo. This gentleman/guitarist Russel Gray gives some of the clearest examples of 'delay through the decades' I've seen. It's very clear and efficient. Bravo!
I agree fully. Russel Gray is one major asset and unsung hero for TC as he so geniously can put pretty complex things into context. The performances may not be technically perfect or true to the original, but he clearly has the sense for these things in a way like no other.
Great job there, TC! I would love to see more webinars like these. Not necessarily nearly an hour but it provides tidbits that wouldn't have come to light in one of the more common demos, the kind we're acustomed to on UA-cam.
I use a fair bit of TC gear. But wont be buying this because of the fact thatits exclusive to GC and not making available through my local TC dealer. A personal protest .....Bad idea TC.
I love this pedal and I love Thors very interesting explination of the dofferent delays, but I felt that in this lo of a video showed the experimental or at least the most extremes settings that this unit is capable of... instead the toned are very clasic, very short delays that you can't even appreciate the defradation of tape to hear the wow and flutter ot the analog demo was ridiculous, could barely even hear the repeats... that said, interesting show, Thor (I hope I'm spelling the bame right) is just a cool dude, with knowledge and charisma... I really enjoyed his discussion and explanations... and of course this pedal is a beast! You can come up with some extremely trippy sounds... which I think is the reason would buy a triple delay... not for classic tones that is for sure... but whenever I write about TC I have to ask this at the end... is there anyway that with a firmware update or something, the tape mode or analog mode could have an udible sound when playing with the time knob? You know like a tape rewinding or something like that? That would make it the perfect pedal! The best delay on this pricerange! Without a doubt... but the lack of that feature makes it hirt I think... but still, definitely worth the money. I love my triple delay, but seriously, the expression pedal is not fun when you press it you can't hear anything... so, yeah...
If I use the Toneprint editor to change the function of the 'Delay Time' knob, is the selected delay time locked-in permanently? So for example, I make the delay time 40 ms and don't want it to change, will the tap tempo override this delay time on the saved preset? Will a MIDI clock override a saved preset or Toneprint?
Fukkkn great stuff. But i don’t understand how u can put chorus effect etc into this pedal and make it as multi fx pedal??? Pls clarify. Thnx brothers❤
I was going to get yhe flash back x4 until I saw this pedal. Now I'm not sure which one i should get.. Do i need 3 delays? Does flash back x4 have any advantages on the triple delay? Can anyone help me decide?? Please and thank you! 😊
Any update to the lack of global tap tempo? I'd be happy with an option in the Tone Print Editor that allows users to select if the delay is synced to the tap tempo when bypassed. I want to run the Triple delay as three different subdivisions of rhythmic delays that I can bring in and out at any time without having to re-tap the tempo after engaging one of the delay lines. I have an analog delay for my slapback. The potential is here for rhythmic delay users to stack quarters and triplets and dotted eighths in real time with a single tap at the beginning of the song.
At around 41:16 they talk about the possibility of using it as a looper, and after toying around with the pedal I would answer that: you can. Partially. And I find that quite interesting, since this pedal (at least for me) might stand in the edge of Delay and Looper. Having a very long delay time up to 7000 ms (7 sec), from there it's just a matter of math and adjusting the repeats and mix. The maximum of 7000 ms Delay means you have 7 seconds "loop time", which is also a 7/4 bar at 60 bpm (to keep things rounded); 6000 ms = 6/4 bar, 4000 ms = 4/4 bar and so on; it'll take some practice but you can pull it out quite well with a metronome. Of course a looper would always do better for that matter. Just wanted to point out, as I said in the beginning, how interesting it is that this pedal is mainly a Delay, but at some point you also get a sort of looper ;)
When the main riff kicks in, apparently he used a lexicon dual delay with one half set to 14ms and the other set to 22ms so it sounded like a chorus, but wasn't
Hi guys. Have you decided to make a patch for this pedal which allows tap tempo for a situation playing live! For example to set tempo for three delays to EASILY set a tempo for all three delays? Otherwise this pedal is NOT USABLE LIVE!! Please do something.
wow and flutter were undesirable speed fluctuations as I recall regarding turntable, cassette and that. Positively encouraged in tape based echo, like my WEM and Echorec. Digital echoes never wear out, like tape loops do, but tape has a certain oomph, if you get me. I use a Schaller swell and a Boss DD5 nowadays. Works well enough, bit noisy but my tinnitus gets me through. The Flashback would be my next port of call though. Great demo, great sales pitch. Both by believers.
So glad I was tentative over the"Time-Factor"..The two obvious plus' saved me from buying the wrong one. A) Keeping it simple means ready made songs and no intimidation. B) Dialing my own blend of colors with no degradation of tone.C) One warranty, one bill, and a lot more real estate on the board to make the bag heavier if I should chose to.!
benfordguitars Yeah! I can't believe they would do that to all their dedicated dealers but it's true. I tried to get one at my local dealer and when he contacted tc they told him it's a GC exclusive. They even mention it in the video.... What a shame.
Souldk86 Nah. I support my local music stores. If it turns out they are able to carry it i'll give it a shot. My Flashback X4 died twice within a month so hopefully this one is bit better.
nobody says you can't do both ;) for stuff the locals just can't get, go online.. and then the rest to the locals ;) thats what I do when my local dealer/dealers says they can't get the guitar or pedal or amp that I just want..
" revolutionary pedal " ?? I don't think so. What about Yamaha's UD Stomp which had 8 separate delays where you could adjust all parameters for each of the 8 delays.
They're located the same place as indicated in this article: music-group.force.com/musickb/view/article/tce/Differences-between-Flashback-and-Flashback-X4-228331588
non of the tone print sound are working on my triple delay..iv tried beaming thtough the app..the light flashes green..but the sound doesn't change..has anyone experienced something similar iv also tried uploading the tone prints through pc..same thing...but the editor works just fine. .
+Guerilla86 hi man. I recommend you contact our official support team. They should be able to provide you with a fix for this problem :) you can contact them at www.tcelectronic.com/support
Hi Jonny Ultronz . No, the pedal isn't analog. It's a completely digital delay, but the algorithm behind the pedal is extremely good at emulating old analog delays and tape echoes :)
I have 3 of these in parallel they are great! If now only you guys had done a 8 voice stereo modulation delay/8 voice stereo pitch shifter "glitch free" pedal.

I have the Triple, and love it...but the tone and demo's on this (cough) hour long vid is pretty bad.
I use a fair bit of TC gear. But wont be buying this because of the fact thatits exclusive to GC and not making available through my local TC dealer. A personal protest .....Bad idea TC.
Making any product exclusive to the Guitar Center puts a negative spin on my perception of the entire TC line.
Its just the color that is exclusive.
This video and Knobs demo is what sold me on this pedal.

Do you use the right exp pedal?
Ordered one of these at the weekend and can't wait for the postman. By the way, amazing guitar work in this video, top notch!
Tore should be a Jedi in the new Star Wars movie, lol
hey guys! Ask Bill Frisell to do some toneprints, he really loves delay and he still uses this old DL-4! Save him! :)

What is the best budget solution to control a global tempo for TC triple delay pedal.
Smart clock pedal is good but fukn expensive..
Thnxx guys

Ooooh! Shades of Miami Vice!

In series, the Triple Delay runs in the order 1>2>3. If I were being shallow, could I reverse that order to be 3>2>1 in the software?

Jake Stewart Music this was my issue tap one rhythm and it's set for all the delays grrrr
You can buy a disaster area smartclock to control all 3 live with a tap tempo. I know it's an extra pedal, but that's the way to do it!
This is THEE BEST delay pedal....

Can I get the Pat Metheny sound from 'Hejira' when he was working with Joni Mitchell? been trying to get this for so long.
When the main riff kicks in, apparently he used a lexicon dual delay with one half set to 14ms and the other set to 22ms so it sounded like a chorus, but wasn't

The tap temp on this pedal sets the delay for all 3 delays.
Shout out on the shirt man!

Why are they posting that this is a GC exclusive when I can get it from M123 and several other stores online including brick and mortar stores
Hey what's up 😁
It has three delay lines.
It has three delay lines.
It has three delay lines.
ok,ok I can't resist, this guy has to say I be back,or I'm gonna pump you up in the next review.
The ultimate delay IF it had digital bum read out like the boss giga delay, very cool though
It's a shame it's only available through guitar center!
If that is the case. No sale.

Hi, can I save a sound using a midi pedal?
Without question, this is the best demo video I've ever seen. Thanks
" revolutionary pedal " ?? I don't think so. What about Yamaha's UD Stomp which had 8 separate delays where you could adjust all parameters for each of the 8 delays.
That said, I am going to buy one of these because of the deep editing that can be done via the Toneprint software.
Hi I can't find the DIP switches after taking off the back. I was hoping to turn true bypass off. Where are these DIP switches ? thanks
They're located the same place as indicated in this article: music-group.force.com/musickb/view/article/tce/Differences-between-Flashback-and-Flashback-X4-228331588
How much is it at GC? No local dealer in South Korea? Thanks!
300.
2:11 what song is this?
Dear TC, please add a global tap tempo onto the Triple Delay / FBX4 / Alter Ego !
andreplaysguitar What do you consider a global tap tempo? The Triple Delay has a tap tempo thay controls all three delays.
Great demo Russ!

Firmware update
Is it analog, bucket brigade.....?

I am still going to get one with my Christmas money.....can you get me a great deal....Haaa
Never hurts to ask....?

I have 3 of these in parallel they are great!

How have you them hooked up ? Can you for eg, have the 3 delays on in one pedal and 3 delays on a 2nd one ?
Oh for some mash
