Iron or fall out remover dissolves rust around the particles so you can agitate and snow foam, then rinse and the actual iron is easier to remove. It doesnt dissolve iron itself so anything thats embedded in the clear coat or paint thats been there ages will need a clay bar to get it off.
The Chemical Guys iron remover kind of sucks, it’s weak. I would recommend Koch Chemie Magic Wheel Cleaner or Turtle Wax Rapid Decon. However, I think your situation calls for a very strong acid wheel cleaner. Stronger than the AC35. You could also try a very strong alkaline cleaner like Infinity Wax Incinerate.
Oh man, I’m just going to have the wheels resprayed. I can hardly remove it by hand so just going to have the wheels blasted & repainted. Most of the dust is likely disc rotor as I trashed the rotors within a year with the ferodo pads. They came off a rally car (the brakes).
Yah.....either that or you can save yourself tons of money and just use toilet bowl cleaner....like most of us Canadian truckers do...safe on paint too for short periods just don't leave it on to long before rinsing...you're welcome...
They still get bad if the pads are no good. I cleaned the wheels heaps, but it was the aggressive Ferrodo pads that made a mess. Project Mu ones I have now have been great.

The only thing getting this brake dust off was sandpaper!

Nice vid, get yourself a dedicated wheel brush as it will make it easier.....
Yeah I was looking at them. The old dustpan brush is reaching its end of life.

I have specially made AC35 acid wheel cleaner. It does nothing for this type of dust buildup. The wheels are being repainted.
It didn't work for me.
@@JerryCary me neither. I ended up having my wheels blasted & repainted.
Oooof. Glad I got black rims..
