I've seen the episode about the lady and her pillow. At one point, she talks about being sexually abused as a child and that her pillow was her only confidant at the time. So. That definitely puts things in perspective.

I'm 14 and still have the torn up and shabby blanket I was given when I was 2 years of age. I hold it whenever I'm stressed out because it reminds me of when I was carefree and completely full of joy, those times are gone and I now only have this blanket to remember them by.
Some of these 'strange addictions' are really just coping mechanisms

My grandma’s friend’s husband just passed and she’s started to do what the First Lady does. She doesn’t take the urn everywhere, but she recently took him on “holiday” when she went on a boat trip, and let him “drive the boat”. She still talks to him like he’s there. It’s absolutely heartbreaking. He was just larger than life and now a huge presence is gone. It’s really really sad people do this. Thanks for the respect Daz xx

@@horrorpickles thank you so much for asking. I caught up with her recently, she’s more in the “acceptance” phase now. She knows he’s gone and has had a lot of support from her and his children. She’s pretty much through it, but she still struggles that he’s gone.

I appreciate that from him because I have a skin picking addiction. I’ve had it since I was little. I think it comes from a mixture of anxiety and ocd. It’s a horrid thing to deal with because it feels good in the moment but then you hate yourself for it because you’re harming your body and you don’t want to but you can’t help it. Thankfully it’s gotten a it better for me now but I’m still struggling with it.

I had to pause the video to work out if it was in my flat or not, and then I rewound like 3 times just to work out it was Daz's phone.. that sketched me out xD
The thing about pulling hair out of a drain is that it's simple, yet productive; it makes sense; it's something he can control; and it can't lead to any type of tragedy. But I think the main one is that it's something that he can control. His father was ripped from him suddenly, and life seems so chaotic and uncontrollable to him. So cleaning the drain gives him comfort in a way.
I love how respectful daz is towards mental health/self harming. He's a really great guy 💞

Don't be ashamed of that teddy! I have a teddy bear named Mr bearington von stuffy I have had since age 5, I'm 31 years old now. I could give a hoot if anyone judges that. I vividly remember getting the bear, and vaguely remember why it was given to me by a lady named Mrs Armstrong and the memories of the following conversation are blacked out for a reason but the bear was and has always been my safety net, i brought him to every sleepover I ever went to and my friends would poke fun but I didn't care so they eventually let it be, and when I pass on I will have my bear with me then too. To others it's an object but for us it has meaning and that's worth a lot.

Me too, I can't really express how much I appreciate it. He could just leave it and miss a few subs from the massive count he has already but he actually CARES. He gets it, bullying and difficulties with mental struggles etc. It benefits a lot to save the few seconds of potential torture for people who actually want to see it. when I was a kid, my mum and dad were always arguing and shouting, and I felt like I couldn't talk to anyone so a stuffed teddy bear was the only one I could talk to. I was six though, but I still told this bear all my secrets. I'm 12 now, and sometimes when I've had a really bad day, I'll tell it and when I fall asleep I'll be hugging it, so I get the one about the pillow. I don't take bear everywhere though. just in my room

So that first woman kinda reminded me of when I was a kid just after my mum died I used to carry a framed photo around everywhere in this little bag that she bought me that was just big enough to fit it. I'd put it on my desk in every lesson and it smashed a few times meaning I'd cry until I found a new frame. I don't carry it anymore, but the similarity really struck me

I lost my step-father 8 years ago to cancer and it is still really hard to deal w every day he was the best father in the world!!! And just recently I found out that while he was in the Hospitol and was going to be coming home in a few days that he slipped a little deeper into his illness so they kept him a few days later and to come out that they gave him too high of a dose of pain killer and he REALLLLLLY WAS OUT OF IT TO WHERE HE REALLY COULDNT SAY MUCH BUT HE WROTE TO US WHAT HE WANTED TO SAY BUT JUST AS WE WERE ALMOST AT THE HOSPITOL TO SEE HIM I FOUND OUT THAT MY MOTHER OF ALL PEOPLE TOLD THE DOCTOR HE WAS SUFFERING AND TO GIVE HIM THE SHOT TO KILL HIM LIKE THEY DO WITH ANIMALS!!!! My sister saw the whole thing happen and had a nervous brake down for four years, well she basically MURDERED MY STEP-FATHER AND SHE WONDERS WHY NON OF HER CHILDREN OR GRAND CHILDREN DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO W HER!! And my biological father lives w her still and she’s already told me that she plans of cutting of my dads oxygen in his sleep when she feels she’s had enough of him he is also dying of cancer!!!! If there was a way to prove that she MURDERED MY STEP-FATHER AND PUT HER ASS IN JAIL FOR LIFE BEFORE SHE GETS A CHANCE TO DO WHAT SHE PLANS ON DOING TO MY DAD I WOULD!!!!! Thanks for listening I hope that the memories of the love you have for her picture and the love you have for her stays with you always!!! She sounds like she was a loving mother and I will keep you in my prayers and you will see her again someday and it will be like she never left!!! I just wanna say Daz. Thank you for being so respectful towards like depression issues and anxiety issues. As a victim of self harm and gets triggered by even seeing the line of blood. It really means a lot to me that you don’t show that sort of thing when you don’t have to. I’ve been clean from self harm for about 2 and a half months. And it makes me happy that you care. I know that sounds stupid but it really means a lot to me. That’s all. I love you Daz. and always, stay dazzling 🙃❤️❤️👑
