    I eat porridge every day,but i hardly ever boil it,but i like the comforting effect that it has when i do it.
    I always add soy milk to my raw oats ,flaxseed or chia seeds or hemp seeds (for Ω3),
    cocoa or carob, my spice mix (ceylon cinammon,ginger,clove,nutmeg,allspice),turmeric and pepper (for absorbing the curcumin),
    protein powder,tahini or peanut or almond butter,some frozen berries,and occasionally other toppings as well
    (dried gojiberries,soja crispies,pumpkin seeds,chocolate etc)
    Apart from the first meal of the day,it's also my post workout meal.so it is high in calories and nutrients.
    Happy New Year to all!

      I eat porridge everyday too, and have found that It gets the best consistency after letting the oats soak overnight instead of boiling them. The texture is smoother. Just my two cents

    Questions: why do you add soy milk? Isn't it estrogenic?

    • @Yes2LifeShow
      @Yes2LifeShow  3 роки тому

      Hi Doug! Great question. The whole claim about soy being estrogenic is somewhat misleading, it's all based on the idea that isoflavones act exactly like estrogen (which doesn't seem to be the case). From our own research, there seems to be no issue with organic non-GMO soy products. Theres lots of information about it online. Plus soy milk is high in protein. We'd recommend organic soy milk always.
